Maybe I needed to elaborate more but I would expect that if a man is interested in a woman for a long term relationship, he for sure wants to have sex with her. And I’m sure that will come up. But I also believe that he will attempt to also speak and get to know different things about her. He will attempt to date her. Whereas there are men who when they are only interested in sex will try to put out as little money as possibly in the dating phase, they will try to bring the conversation to sex a…

I think you should reread the sentence you are so confused about because it’s pretty basic. It’s literally the title of the OP with a “not” in it. My take isn’t a blue pill take. A blue pill take would throw logic to the side. My take understands the basic concept that men arnt settling down with women just for sex. If that was the case we would see most high value men with attractive prostitutes who are willing to give them anything sexually. The women I have met who are struggling to find men …

If you genuinely believe that then do you also believe ALL high libido women are participating in casual sex? Do you believe that high libido individuals (men and woman) are not capable of satisfying themselves through masturbation?

What is blue pill about my takes? Also that sentence isn’t missing words, not sure what you don’t understand. If a man was only determined long term relationships based on sexual compatibility you wouldn’t have men taking women on dates prior to sex. You wouldn’t have men marrying women who arnt having sex with them as much as they want. I have had numerous men take me on dinner dates without ever bringing up the topic of sex because they were interested in more than sex and they didn’t want to …

Not having sex casually or quickly doesn’t equate to low libido.

If a man values a woman for a long term relationship he isn’t pushing sex immediately because he understands that a relationship is more than sex and he believes she has more to offer. If a man is only engaging in sexual conversations with a woman or pushing for sex without dates it’s because he only values that he woman for sex. Women who consistently find themselves meeting men who only want sex are not low value as sexual partners. But they do have a characteristic that lead men to deem them …

My comment had noting to do with who relies on who. If you’re doing 50/50 neither partner is paying for everything. There are tons of women who have their partner pay for everything and have no issue saying that.

I don’t really understand your response. He won because he brought children into the world and was able to walk away from them? I also don’t understand why you brought up child support. Child support can be garnished from your wages if it is not paid and you don’t need a lawyer to go to family court. Whether or not she has the means to get on is not provided within the OP. Also where in society are men taught not to value marriage? I don’t get your point about being married because I am not argu…

He won in what way? Many men don’t claim marriage is terrible. Many men choose to get married everyday. Both men and woman take a gamble with marriage. This particular man did not value marriage, he also did not value fatherhood. And he demonstrated that in various ways that this particular woman chose to ignore.

The whole story has red flags all over it. First most people practicing 50/50 understand you can’t split it exactly down the middle if there is an income disparity. The split recognizes the income disparity. Also I’m going to assume this woman is not married to this man given that you referred to his money as his money. Having multiple children with a man who is not marrying you is a poor decision. Choosing to having a second child with a man who won’t even buy diapers for the first child is eve…

I don’t think I care for surprises. But I know he feels like an engagement should be planned between the couple, it should be on the man. Happy early birthday girlie. My birthday is Saturday. Officially leaving my 20s.

I am but i kind of ruined the surprise for myself because i looked in his stuff and found the ring. We had talked about getting engaged this year but I didn’t know he even bought a ring yet. So now I’m scared my surprise face won’t be good. My birthday is coming up this weekend and we are going to see my family in my mother’s home country, we are leaving tomorrow. So I’m thinking that’s when he will do it.

Yall when do you think you will stop having sex? I see post on Reddit about people in their late 60s upset their partners don’t want sex anymore. I can’t imagine being almost 70 and still having sex. I feel at that age there must be so many aches and pains.

She was good for a couple of years. She has schizophrenia. She suffered from addiction to hard drugs essentially his entire life and he was raised by his grandmother. She started living with him a few years ago and he got her sober. He did this out of a feeling of obligation not because they have any sort of deep relationship. My bf is under a lot of stress at the moment. His mom made a ton of poor decisions which has led to her being in a psych ward for 2 weeks and as of last week she is homeless after deciding to not go to the boarding house the hospital set up for her after she was released. She then decided it would be a smart idea to shut off her card where she gets her social security. I know of at least two women who have good careers who feel this way. My friend group is small so maybe it’s not a majority of women who feel this way. But I was simply commenting on the women that do. Personally I also make similar money to my friend and I can’t imagine walking away from that. I also am afraid of walking away from my career and ending up in an abusive situation like you described. /r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:52 PM

I follow the Christian marriages sub Reddit and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a post about a woman complaining that her man isn’t leading because he’s not supporting her wanting to be a stay at home mom. And people have to comment and tell her theres nothing in the Bible that says women shouldn’t work.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:42 PM

Yes, I live in NJ roughly 30/40 min from Manhattan. On 160k you can definitely own a house but there’s a possibility of being house poor especially going it on 1 income. You for sure would be looking at over 50 percent of your income going just to maintaining the house and paying the mortgage.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 03:36 PM

I really can’t wrap my mind around why so many women what to be stay at home mothers, especially college educated women with careers. Two incomes are always going to be better than one. I have a childfree friend making 160k and can’t imagine buying and maintaining a house in her own. Yet she expects to be a stay at home mom in the future where her husband will pay all the bills and support her and multiple children.

This is the answer. This whole thread can be shut down now. A large percentage of women need to believe that their lives are under threat. And I would argue that the percentage of women who believe that needs to be a lot closer to 100 than to 50. As a woman who does not believe that, I will not be participating in any uprising. Things would have to get a lot worse to change my mind.

Yea I see it in a similar way now. I’m in the best relationship I’ve been in my entire adult life. I love this man more than any man I’ve been with. And yet i can walk away from this relationship easier than any other relationship. Because I’ve learned it’s just not worth my time to be fighting for certain things. I was constantly in a relationship. I’ve been single for less than a year my whole adult life. And a good chunk of that was spent fighting for relationships that weren’t worth it. My exes are no longer in my life, those relationships are no longer relevant to my life. So it was largely a waste of my time to have been in those relationships.

Whenever I see people under 25 talking about relationships problems on Reddit, my immediate thought is “who cares, leave them”. You mentioned statistically men want children more. Is there a statistic you are referring to? The OP seems more anecdotal. Anecdotally, I still see and know more women who have a strong desire for motherhood than I know men who have a strong desire for fatherhood. I will continue to travel even if I got married but there definitely would be more of a routine/structure with marriage. I currently work remotely. If I’m not in my relationship I can work anywhere in the states and I would have no issue. There’s nothing tying me to my state. I’m about to hit the wall in a little under 10 weeks and I’m not sure how I feel. I thought by this point I would have some epiphany about kids. Instead I feel like I want to completely forgo all societal expectations and just travel for a year. I have a great bf and I’m expecting an engagement this year. This is very well put. There are both men and women who have a lifestyle or qualities about them that don’t make them compatible for marriage. If they are not interested in marriage then it really doesn’t matter. But there are qualities people should strive to have if marriage in the near future is something that they are interested in.

https://np.reddit.com/r/BlackPeopleTwitter/s/1Bo4AsBTXr Stuff like this is what made me realize men really don’t care about your past if they want to be with you. Even when you look at some of these “influencer” women. Some of them keep popping up with new male celebrity. These men have money, they can have whoever they want and yet they choose a woman that has publicly been linked to multiple other men.

Thank you for your advice. Yea I don’t know what type of therapist are out there. I also don’t know what type of therapy is available, like another commentor mentioned her therapist combined eastern and western practices. But I don’t know what the difference are. I am considering therapy but I actually wasn’t considering going back to better health. I tried it a second time for a month a few years ago and the therapist they assigned to me only did over text. That time around I quit immediately.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 12:39 AM

How long did you stay with a therapist before changing? What factors did you look at to determine that you aligned with a therapist vs deciding a therapist wasn’t for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 12:17 AM

Has anyone here done therapy and did it help you? I did some brief sessions in better help years ago but quit quickly. I didn’t feel like i was in a place to implement “the homework” I was being given. But now I’m thinking about possibly considering it again. I consider myself a very happy individual but this past 6 months possibly even a year I find myself dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression. If people want to move to find love I think that’s fine. I think how men view women in America isn’t any different from how women are in other countries though. Sleeping with women casually or dating long distance is going to be very different from a full time relationship that has its ups and downs and goes through actual tribulations. My main critique of your OP would be you not recognizing that are lot of passport bros are looking for easy sex from vulnerable women. It has nothing to do with …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 01:48 PM

Yea, a couple where both people are financially smart with their money and willing to split expenses get to live life on easy mode. Something to be very cautious of is a partner who expects the other person to pay all the bills.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 05:16 PM

All the discourse about which gender sucks more is nonsense. This is your friendly reminder that both men and women need one another because both genders are too broke to survive this economy on their own.

If a guy were to approach me and he is a complete stranger he first has to meet a physical threshold of what I find attractive. Obviously I’m not going out with him on the spot so as we initially communicate via text in the following days, I am now checking to see if he has a lifestyle that aligns with mine. I believe there was some sort of rehabilitation attempt. They are religious which is why they have 19 children. So whatever therapy or rehabilitation was probably done through a Christian org. Whether or not the people running the rehabilitation were actually licensed professionals I am not sure. Oftentimes Christian therapy is not by licensed individuals.

To be clear none of the CP stuff happened when he was a child. All of that is after they attempted rehabilitation.

So hindsight in 20/20. I guess my intial comment was more so questioning if they were wrong for thinking their child could be rehabilitated, when they had no clue how the future would turn out.

So from my understanding they did send him to therapy. Idk how good it actually was because as an adult he had CP on his laptop which landed him in jail. The whole situation is unfortunate. The parents get judgement but I feel like there was no way for them to win in the situation. There daughters were already traumatized and what should have been the next step, try to get your son locked up?

Q4A: So idk if you are all familiar with the Duggars but they are a religious family that had like 19 kids. Two of there sons in adulthood have been arrested for some form of CP/Child molestation. It came out that one son, who is now serving jail time for having CP as an adult, would inappropriately touch his sister when they were younger, at the time he was a teenager. Allegedly to try and contain this behavior the parents built their house where all the girls shared one room and all the boys s…

I guess it shouldn’t be surprising that so many men would opt for adoption, I mean men walk out on their children everyday. But for some reason I was actually surprised by these comments. Paternal instinct seems to not really exist for men, if a woman isn’t involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/26 07:43 PM

Did any of your parents kick you out? Like you were a good kid, no issues but they just said “well you’re an adult time to leave” I just saw a video of this 22 year old crying cause she lost her job and rent is due. I legit don’t know what a young person does to pay their bills if they didn’t go to school. I would be running so fast to live with my parents. But then I was like maybe her parents don’t want her.

I can’t speak for women either lol. The same way you can’t speak for all men. If the intent was to get off they would just watch something for free or use a free AI chatbot. They are not on a dating app because there is a risk of their significant other finding out. They absolutely would go on one if they could build that connection without the risk. I had one guy friend in my 20s. There was never anything romantic from either of us so I do think men and women can be friends. But every guy I dated had an issue with this relationship. Well financially I think there’s an issue with using money to sustain the lifestyle of another woman, when that money could go to the betterment of your family. At that point you are at the very least attempting emotional adultery.

Eating food does give a feeling of comfort which is why we have emotional eaters.

I meant after the actual event of having sex with the individual. After youre done having your total orgasms for the session. Does the person sleeping around feel lot of positive feelings about the experience? Does it make them think oh now I gotta go experience that again with another stranger?

I really don’t understand the desire to sleep around for either gender. I feel like after the orgasm, you arnt left with much great feelings.

If a man is taking out multiple women in a first date, it’s unrealistic to be expecting him to pay $100+ dollars for each date. Which is what restaurants dates are costing especially if alcohol is purchased. Do you think most men who are of dating age have hundreds of dollars of disposable income to date?

If a mainly female hobby then I could see that possibly women join these hobbies to just enjoy themselves and maybe bond with other women. Some women are also just shy. I have a friend who joined a Catholic group. She’s Catholic and they do a lot of hiking activities which she loves. They also did a big trip to Italy this past year. The group is about 50/50 male and female. She is secretly hoping to meet her husband there. But she isn’t the type of woman to message first or initiate so one of th…

I assume if I would have kids that I would adjust. I’ve also read stories of women who didn’t crave motherhood but once they were in it they felt very fullfilled. I’m sure it is a beautiful thing. But I feel like would have to be in it to really see the benefit if that makes sense. My mom talks about if I have kids I have to give up how much I go to the gym and in my head i immediately think “well my gym has a daycare”. I just can’t imagine giving up parts of myself for a little human.

How do you account for the birth rate dropping in the 90s to now? I’m born in 96 so I wasn’t thinking about the time before women could work or before they could have a bank account.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 02:36 PM

A big reason I’m turned off from kids is the responsibility. I have so much stress and things going on currently. I can’t imagine how to throw a kid into the mix. Was life easier for women in the past or were they less risk averse? My mom actively got pregnant with me while she was a broke college student, illegal and my dad was a fwb. I can’t imagine making the decision to be a mother if I was in that spot.

I don’t think what you described has to be the reality but I also am not aware of what jobs you have access to. But a high paying 9-5 does give you time with your family. That being said I do think ideally both parents should work.

This is going to work with some women and not others. My friend has a lot of anxiety, so she enjoys smaller dates in the beginning where she doesn’t have to maintain a conversation for a long period of time with a guy. Like another commenter she also views constant messaging as love bombing. I on the other hand got offered dinner dates very quickly when I was on dating apps and so that became the minimum I would accept for a first date when I was dating. Guys I’m about to hit the wall in a few month. And I’ve decided to give some advice to all you younger people because I’m older and wiser now. In your twenties get a high paying skill. But also have fun. Dont wait for friends to do the things you want to do. Don’t be afraid to go to that restaurant you want to go to, by yourself. Travel. If the relationship is having problems, leave. You have time to find someone else.

These days a lot of people want to paint the picture that if you didn’t vote for the same party as me then you want me to die. And because of this thought process it’s easy for them to have this idea that political views and the parties people align with should be dealbreakers. People are allowed to pick whatever dealbreaker they want. But at the end of the day, when you have parties that are being paid off by the same lobbyists it really doesn’t matter. People vote based on what they feel to be…

Eh I don’t crave motherhood at the moment. But I know I would be a good mom. And my bf adopted his siblings child after they passed so I know he would be a good dad.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:06 PM

Maybe they don’t have much sex now, so this wish they had more prior to locking into this relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 09:26 PM

I don’t have any desire either. I’m about to turn 30 and I’m waiting for that light switch to go off In my head where I start to crave motherhood. That is supposedly what happened to my mom. I have so many female friends that have such a strong desire for motherhood though. They believe they will find deep fulfillment in it and I just can’t relate. That being said my bf wants a biological child so if we get married I will probably appease him and have at least one.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 09:23 PM

Very interesting. In my initial comment I didn’t mention men who hadn’t been married because it’s very easy for me to wrap my head around a man not feeling connected to a child that came from a woman he didn’t love. I guess in my logic I wrongly assumed that husbands love their wives when they have children with them and therefore feel connection to those children.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 02:59 PM

I find it strange when a couple gets a divorce and the husband becomes an absentee father. Were they only present as a father because of the wife? Did they never want fatherhood?

Q4M: Do you pay on the first date/multiple dates? Do you pay for stuff for your partner in general? Do you find that the women you’re dating are looking for you to pay for a lifestyle they can’t afford? Questions were inspired by a post I saw on the main Reddit page about a man who was poor and frustrated with dating because the dating culture seems to only value money. My logic is that if you’re poor and you are also dating other poor people, shouldn’t it not be an issue?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 02:33 PM

Heyy, I like to pop in here when things are on my mind. PPD is the most neutral place I’ve been able to find on Reddit. How’s it been going?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 03:14 PM

Yea that made no sense to me. At this point I haven’t been keeping up with the news as much. Tbh I’m one of the conspiracy believers that thinks there’s something bigger going on. Yes roommate do and should share cleaning responsibilities. You were the one claiming that the mental load of the home falls on the woman. I was just pointing out that doesn’t have to be the case. What your response to me is describing is friendship. Friendships exist. It doesn’t negate the benefits of a romantic relationship. I’ve addresses them in my earlier comment. /r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 09:50 PM

So in regard to your first point. The difference between having a boyfriend you do 50/50 with vs a roommate is that you are working towards shared goals together. Long term successful relationships require partnership. When the burden is shared it allows you to achieve a greater life together. For example, I can get a house a lot faster putting into savings with a partner vs trying to do it on my own. On top of that I do get love and intimacy and someone I can rely on. Dude did you read the post? My reasoning is literally in every comment. And my views are very much in relation to the post I linked. I mentioned where I live and where the OP is because this is not a conversation about generalizations. It’s my opinion very much based on the society myself and the OP live in. I don’t know where you get in outsourcing my logic. I’ve literally given my opinion, you just don’t accept it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 08:37 PM

SexualizIng of the body occurs whether or not it is a choice. I live in America and I’m pretty sure the OP for the post I linked does as well. The female body and the male body are not viewed the same. You’re doing mental gymnastics to ignore reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 08:28 PM

Men’s nipples are not sexualized. Male and female bodies are not the same nor or they looked at the same. If a man’s penis was visible because he isn’t wearing underwear yes he’s dressing like a sex worker.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:36 PM

It’s not about control. Many people don’t want their partners dressing like sex workers. It’s more about respect for yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:32 PM

Many people arnt comfortable with their partners dressing like sex workers. Such is life.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:31 PM

A lot of people are trying to attach him to a political party and it think it’s ok to be like he’s not representative of either party. He seemed to live a liberal life and suppose this parents claimed he was changed/“indoctrinated” in college. But he was also raised by republicans in a conservative state.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:28 PM

Honestly crazy take to me. Whether or not you wear underwear in public shouldn’t be a reason to throw away your relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:25 PM

I think people need to know when to pick and choose battles especially if your partner is a good to you. Whether or not you respect his wishes for you to wear panties in public shouldn’t really be a battle you’re ready to pick.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 07:24 PM

It’s fine not to wear a bra. But it’s really shouldn’t be a reason to argue with your significant other. Your bf doesn’t feel comfortable with your nipples showing through your shirt in public then put a bra on.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:48 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/whatdoIdo/s/vhKFrgbskP The comments are crazy. This is why you really can’t ask for relationship advice on Reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:39 PM

Because they understand that many women and men fall on a spectrum in regard to their political views. Most people are not on the extreme end. They also understand that it’s ok to have a difference of opinion. I say that as a pro choice woman dating a man who is pro life.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 02:40 PM
4

Because they have never listened to Joe Rogan. Also for some reason people can’t grasp the fact that voting for a party doesn’t mean you agree with all their views.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/25 02:33 PM

I was pissed at him before and came to PPD for advice. This is my second time asking for advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:54 PM

That would be my reaction as well. He was trying to say “if the roles were reversed I would wear stuff that made you comfortable”. But the roles would never be reversed, because if women look at him I still know he’s mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:53 PM

I also feel this way. Like if I give into this what is next. I understand your partner guiding you and I understand compromises being made in a relationship. But this feels more like trying to force me to change out of insecurities or possibly lack of trust in me. His whole thing is he doesn’t like men looking at me and I’m giving the impression to them that I’m single. But if you trust me why does that matter. And I’m a pretty girl, men are going to look at me regardless.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:22 PM

Recently he had made comments about my church dresses being about the knee which I threw in his face last night. Because I think my church dresses are fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:20 PM

That’s how I feel too. I do think there are clothing that’s not appropriate that women wear to the gym. However, I don’t feel like I’m wearing that type of clothing. I was ok dropping the leggings with a seam down the asscrack because I feel like they are intended to look more sexual even if it’s covering all of your legs. But overall I feel my clothes are appropriate which is why I feel so adamant about not changing.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/25 06:19 PM

He does not. Up until recently when it got hot, he always had a hoodie on in the gym. He’s a retired bodybuilder, still running steroids so he’s in great shape. Wearing the hoodie is something more common this past winter. I don’t know if it’s is way of getting me to cover up more.

Example: https://np.reddit.com/r/NoFapChristians/s/9BthlCC6aY I’ve come to realize that maybe porn isn’t the best thing and people should try to avoid it. You fyp is not a reflection of reality. It’s showing you what you want to see. My second point had nothing to do with research. Women are more likely to go to a doctor in general. They are also more likely to encourage their husbands to go which is why married men on average outlive single men. People don’t just get degrees for money. It might surprise you but some people actually value being educated.

The women on dating apps are looking to date. After 27 you also have to take into consideration biological clock. Women who arnt interested in a relationship and are happy single are not on apps. If a woman doesn’t value sex in her relationship and she isn’t having sex and the husband is being a “good” guy. She isn’t going to consider her relationship a failure. So there will be no resentment. Resentment will occur with cheating because adultery is villainized. It’s seen as one of the worst, if not the worst, things you can do to your partner. He ultimately didn’t support the child for a long time because he was a child and his parents were mad at the girls parents for even encouraging her to keep the baby. I think at his age I would support financial abortion because he was too young to know right from wrong. But grown adults having sex know there’s consequences to sex.

It would be difficult yet some women did it. My grandmother dropped out of school at 11 to support her family. She met my grandfather at 18 and married shortly after. They had 5 kids. She cooked and cleaned their home (kids helped as they got older). She also worked as a manager of a retail store, she was also a Sunday school teacher. My grandfather was the main provider because he was college educated and had a better paying job but her job was still needed for their family.

Domestic work. She’s still child rearing, still taking care of the home. If you’re going to link anything to a traditional woman it’s domestic work and her role in the children’s lives.

Thats not true, women worked farms, were seamstresses, involved in the crafting industry, etc. Not working was only a privilege for well off women.

I actually don’t think you’re correct. Are you saying men can’t love their biological children in the same way women do? Also traditional woman does not equate to a woman who doesn’t work.

What is an ultimatum in a relationship, can someone give me an example? For me this is confusing because communication is a necessity for a healthy relationship. If something is a dealbreaker for you that needs to be communicated to your partner. Is the preferred/healthier option to just end the relationship with no explanation?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/25 01:20 PM

Why can’t you get a house without their money? In my head my parents money is for any rainy days they hit when they are older. If they leave me inheritance money I can then use it to grow the wealth I have already achieved for myself throughout my life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 05:37 PM

By not being careful I mean that I don’t use condoms. The pull out method has been effective for me. I have been on and off birth control throughout my twenties, going on 4 years off now though with no plans of getting back on.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:48 PM

My man is not careful about protection, we never used it. The only reason he doesn’t have kids is because of steroid use. I’m not careful about protect either though so can be mad at him. I do think if I knew he had abortions in relationships prior to me I would feel some type of way especially depending on the relationship he had with that woman. It wouldnt necessarily be a dealbreaker but I feel like creating life with someone is something special.

Where are your stats to back up your claims? You criticize self reports but it seems that your entire argument is backed by opinion. I never said anyone has to follow traditions. I understand that there is no uproar about men having to propose so a woman proposing is not the solution. That maybe a man who hasn’t proposed, is ok with the tradition he just doesn’t want to get married to that woman so that’s why he hasn’t? I considered that, which is why I made that response. It’s a weird expectation for you to think people have to be a monolith and belief everything of a group or nothing of a group. Most people ascribe to some beliefs of a group and but not all. That’s like thinking a democrat has to support everything Biden believes or a republican has to support everything trump believes. In reality people exist predominantly in the middle.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 06:24 PM

There are many men who claim to want marriage, they say that it is right around the corner and then ultimately don’t meet the commitments they make. In general though I don’t think communicating expectations should be looked at as pressuring your partner. In a long term relationship topics are going to come up that were not spoken about on day one. Sometimes a topic is discussed and people change their mind. Having a healthy relationship is being able to communicate about these topics.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 06:22 PM

My comment wasn’t about giving sympathy to these women. It was about pointing out their lack of agency. We both agree that they should have left much earlier. The particular example focused on women but I notice in general both gender seem to lack agency in dating these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 05:59 PM

I don’t consider myself anti feminist but I don’t consider myself feminist either. The current mainstream feminist movement is comprised of privileged women looking to get more privilege. There are things I believe in and things I don’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 05:56 PM

They often do communicate. Many have are verbally deceived by their partners and told that engagement is around the corner. Instead of following a tradition that is mainly done by a man they should just leave. There is no need to break gender expectation to be disappointed by a man that has already made his intent clear by his inaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 05:51 PM
1

She doesn’t have to propose, she can just have the discussion and leave if it doesn’t happen in the timeline she wants. A man proposing is a gender expectation widely accepted pretty much everywhere. If he wanted to he would.

Yea I don’t understand why some stay so long. Maybe fear of loneliness? There are other men and if you don’t find someone you love, romantic relationships are not the only way to fulfill your life. It’s better than being in a relationship where you are just growing more resentment.

If a woman stops making an effort a man can leave. From my knowledge most if not all states cannot force someone to stay married to someone else. Marriage provides a lot of benefits: If you are sick that person is your next of kin so doctors would look to them to help with major decisions vs a relative that may not be close to your partner. It helps to protect assets. If you buy a house with someone there’s a court process to go through to determine what happens to the house. So say you as a man…

I discovered the waiting room wed sub awhile back, it’s women upset their bfs haven’t proposed yet. It’s not uncommon to see a woman post about being in a relationship with a man for 10 years and still no ring. Why would you wait that long? It seems like there is a lack of agency with people these days. Maybe it’s because we have normalized so many different scenarios that people don’t understand what to push for in relationships and what issues to take a backseat on.

A father would help with a lot of your points. For example, you say “if a child life is abusive, what good is a father going to do”. Umm a lot of fathers would not want their child to be abused. I actually have a close friend that was sexually assaulted at 9 years old by a close family friend. /r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 06:04 PM

I responded to this person and I didn’t fully adress them applying to 1k+ in positions. But in my time of applying to jobs I’ve probably applied to 30 in total. And that includes all applications between 3 jobs. Times have obviously changed. There shouldn’t be an expectation to apply to over 1000 jobs in your field in order to get a good paying job.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 05:56 PM
1

I have been reading r/cscareerquestions and many people are applying to that many. People with years of experience are out of work in the field for 2/3 years or have to leave it completely. I am fortunate to still be employed in tech, but what I’m reading about people’s struggle once they have lost a job or even what is happening when they come out of college is alarming. It’s from these stories alone that for the first time in my life I’m wondering if people should still go to college at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 05:53 PM

So the reason I’m not sure if this is good advice is because this is exactly what I did and I’m now seeing it fail for people younger than me. When I worked In office I took breaks to talk to people all the time. I was still in office. Full time in the office could easily be the same schedule btw. Meetings occur in tech fairly often once you’re no longer at the junior level. Also main issue is that at 10am everyday she’s dropping her kid to school. If she has to go into the office even some days she’s going to have to find a solution to this. Because a job isn’t going to be ok with her showing up to work at noon. She might as well find the solution and keep the work from home gig where she doesn’t have to deal with a commute.

In the post the fact that she’s missing a daily meeting has now escalated. I also work from home and agree with you, it often comes down to just getting your work done. Things happen, an accident can occur. Also there’s benefits such as social security when a spouse has passed, protection when acquiring assets, sharing health insurance, etc. If your parents were ok with marriage why did it take one person getting sick to commit to it? They were already in a relationship, recognizing in a legal way would have only benefited them.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/25 12:53 PM

There are legal measures you can take which may or may not hold up. The one legal measure that will hold up in marriage, as you are seen as next of kin immediately. There’s other benefits as well such as being able to get social security from your deceased spouse. Theres also protections if you use to buy assets together. If someone isn’t actively not choosing to work for a long period of time that is something different. But 3 months is a short time to decide your marriage isn’t worth fighting for. Also as someone in a corporate job, if I knew a colleague who lost their job I wouldn’t advise them to immediately run out and find a fast food gig. https://np.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/s/m7TKF2mIyK Idk why people choose not to live in reality. This has nothing to do with hating woman. One woman has been affected by age and the other has not. So a little makeup can do a lot or enhance the older woman while on the other hand it’s being used in excess on the younger woman and actually making her look older.

I have had 4 long term relationships. 2 of the guys were on my radar as potential romantic partners and I was more passionate in those relationships than the other two. My current bf is one of those men. One guy was through a dating app. Another was my longest relationship. He was on my radar as someone I could possibly buy weed from not necessarily as a romantic interest. Almost like clockwork he came knocking on my door to invite me to a party. We got together shortly after that.

I feel the author is too consumed with feeling sorry for themselves. Life happens and we all eventually develop emotional scars. But I’m not waking up crying at night. And if someone is, that is something to deal with. The idea that we wouldn’t expect a person partnered up to deal with that baggage is ludicrous. Also something that stood out to me is her excuse for eating like shit. She made a comment to suggest that someone who eats unhealthy isn’t at fault for that. They very much are. It’s ac…

As someone who’s seeing an Ewok for the first time today, I can’t agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 02:53 PM

Yes that’s been disneys thing of late. It’s their way of trying to make more money with the logic being that they will obviously bring in a young audience. But they will also bring in an older audience who view it as nostalgia. They will get me for lilo and stitch but I haven’t seen another live action that excited me. They are saying Snow White live action will actually really hurt Disney financially, given that a ton of people plan to boycott the movie.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 02:52 PM

I just googled Ewok and I actually have no clue what this is and I’ve never seen it before in my life. When I initially responded to you I thought an ewok was a Wookiee.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/25 02:49 PM

I don’t know much about Ewok especially at 5 years old when the cartoon movie came out. So for me it was new and fun. It’s a great storyline as well. Even as a little kid you understand the love of family and the fear of being separated from family so I feel it resonates with all ages.

I don’t necessarily agree because some people don’t let themselves go. They are big from a young age or something just genetically makes them unattractive that they can’t help. Whether or not is the best decision was never the argument. The other individual was arguing that society is encouraging on to be self autonomous. I disagree with that and point out housing is an example of how society is changing in a way to push us to be in relationships. If someone managed to stay in a sub par relationship for the majority of their twenties I would trust more that they were capable of having a successful relationship over someone who made it to their 30s with no relationship …
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 09:56 PM
2

Well yes, the person I’m responding to is speaking about modern society. A current economic problem would count as modern. I also mentioned in another comment that most people don’t intend to go through life with their best bud. Most people would not want a roommate in their 30s. So the solution that these people would naturally lean into is a relationship. Romantic relationships are still very much normalized more so than having a roommate past your 20s.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 08:19 PM
1

I didn’t change the argument at all. I said it is unrealistic for a person to have a good quality of life without a partner. And I said that society is the cause of that. You assumed that I was talking about emotional bonding. When I said society I meant the economy. I then in another comment gave the example of housing being something that is forcing people to be in relationships. My examples have only served to explain my first point further. The average person doesn’t make enough to be able t…

What does insurance plans have to do with people splitting cost for housing? The article literally explains that’s why people who are not single are not struggling as much. They are splitting bills with one another. Housing is a necessity. We are literally in a society that has made being in a relationship a necessity for survival. In theory we should only be entering relationship because we want to. Theory doesn’t always apply to the reality of what life is in present day.

I disagree with that. It is actually unrealistic for the average person to live a good quality of life as a single individual for many years now. I would argue that society is pushing people to lean on relationships more than ever. And most people are not planning on going through life with their best bud. They instead plan on finding a romantic partner. The inability to acquire one for long periods of time indicates a character flaw.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 05:59 PM

I think this way about both genders. For me it’s not necessarily if you’re single. It’s if you have made it to that age and were unable to have long lasting relationships. Any woman or man who was 35 and managed to not have a long lasting romantic relationships would be a red flag for me.

Are you talking about any man commenting on dating spaces? I would guess most men on ppd who want a traditional woman don’t want that because they want a woman to rely on them. If you are talking about red pill influencers, their motivation is money.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 09:59 PM
-2

I don’t see what being in the manosphere or being a passport bro has anything to do with it. These men saying they want a traditional relationship, I don’t see them saying they want a stay at home wife. So the conclusion you’ve come to that they want a woman who can’t leave seems false.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 09:53 PM
-1

I actually don’t think so. I think that most men who say they want a traditional woman, want a woman who makes them feel like they are the leader in the relationship. The unfortunate thing is that a lot of men seem unable to do enough to make their woman feel comfortable enough to relax and let him lead.

Trying to impress a woman they just met by offering money. I remember on 90 day fiancé there was one woman who was unemployed, two kids and the guy (an American) paid all her bills. People were quick to judge her as if she forced him to do that and was using him. But she was doing sex work, that’s how they met, and he offered to take her out of that life. He offered to pay her rent and buy her new furniture and give her money for her kids. She obviously accepted it when he offered but he was the…

They are upset because they wanted more than sex from having sex. They wanted to have a full relationship. They arnt attached but they view sex in some personal way and they wouldn’t have done it if they knew they wouldn’t get the relationship out of it.

They are in their 20s. Many people have an inflated view of themselves and hope they are the exception. Also people who are desperate are not going to be thinking in a logical way. It’s the same reason there are men who will loses thousands to a woman. Surely most men know that a woman’s love isn’t contingent on giving her money and yet there are men who end up in relationships with women who contribute little and demand a lot financially.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 08:16 PM

There are a lot of women who are having sex with men hoping to gain commitment from it. That’s not a revenge fantasy that’s reality. Its pretty easy to go to a dating subs and find a post of a woman annoyed/upset that’s she’s slept with a man pretty quickly and he’s no longer speaking to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 08:10 PM

Not really. My bf enjoys it, but only certain skits.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 07:20 PM

It’s not being paid for that. This individual lost their passport and had to get another.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:40 PM

It isn’t performative when she will ultimately experience life through the lens of a black individual. People who don’t know this woman will view her and treat her how they would treat other black people. Thats the real reason I would have no issue calling her black, because she’s taken significant steps to actually live the perceptive of the identity she claims.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:39 PM

If a white individual turned themself black I would recognize them as black. For example, I would have no issue recognizing this woman as a black woman https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martina_Big
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:18 PM

It’s my own. But just because someone chooses otherwise doesn’t mean we have to abide by their choice. If a white individual asked you to recognize that they are black despite having no black lineage you would not.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:07 PM

I never said anything about clothes. Someone can be wearing a dress and still look and be a man. In the majority of cases sex often does match visual representation.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:06 PM

Yes, visually the person in the post I linked looks like a woman. It’s more confusing imo to put their biological sex when they look nothing like it. What other things is it used for besides identifying someone visually? Edit: I’m not trying to imply anything. I’m literally stating an opinion clearly
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:55 PM

Why would I address a man, who looks like a man, as a woman? I’m a quarter Indian. Most people who dont live in diverse environments immediately assume I’m fully black, I’m half. I don’t demand that people recognize my Indian side. I recognize that I don’t look Indian and it’s silly to make emphasis of that to complete strangers.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:53 PM

Lily Tino looks like a man and should be address as such until he takes the necessary steps to look like a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:45 PM

In terms of the context of the video they changed her passport to male. She looks like a woman, sounds like a woman. I would think it’s more confusing for someone who has to look at her passport in the airport to see M for male. Biological gender should definitely be acknowledged in sports. But in this context it seems useless to acknowledge it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 05:44 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/s/RHbXsEUkIQ I do think if someone looks like a woman and wants to be called a woman we should oblige. This individual has taken the steps to be called a female.

My man is a natural financial provider. I moved less than 2 months after meeting him and he surprised me at ny apartment with dishes. We were serious for a while and he would still buy groceries for me. He’s paid my rent in the past, pays for things for my business, pays for things with my car. He comes from a background where women often don’t have the best jobs and men are just expect to cover a lot of the cost so for him this is just the norm of being a man.

Your mindset isn’t one that takes accountability. A large part of getting a good job is not luck or networking. You apply for jobs. You develop skill sets to get you the interview. You do well on the interview because you made sure to educate yourself. Whether you do all of that is in your control.

Yes. I think that ultimately they were in a toxic relationship. I think when the case was being publicized in the media there was a gloss over of the fact that this man was an addict. I remember she was criticized by his lawyer for sending a photo of him passed out to her friend and saying “this is what I’m dealing with”. Minimum wage is much higher than 7.25 in many states. I don’t know why youve convinced yourself that every illegal is fleeing something. You’ve even convinced yourself that every illegal doesn’t speak English which simply isn’t true. Guess what people come here for various reasons. Some people come here just because they think life in America would be better but they have a fine life in their own country. Some people also come here who like that woman in Pakistan are not of sound mind. If you re…

I’m not manipulating anything. Im clearly anti illegal immigration and I’ve made other comments about it before. But I was pointing out how people can clearly see how silly this woman is but have normalized this same behavior in America. I asked you a question and you have chosen to not answer it because the reality is that there are illegals coming here who fall into the same category as this woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/25 07:51 PM

Do you believe everyone who comes to American is sane and fleeing persecution?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/25 07:42 PM

Do you really believe everyone who comes to America is illegally is fleeing crime? The shittiest jobs? Tons of illegals work in restaurants in America and guess what Americans apply for those jobs. Many are discriminated against, especially black Americans. Also many of these illegals are making minimum wage and higher.

Everyone is looking at this lady in Pakistan like she’s crazy for going into these people’s country and just staying there. But it’s supposedly racist to be against people doing just that in America.

I’m catching up on the Justin baldoni and Blake lively drama and it seems like this woman ruined her career to make her jealous husband, Ryan Reynolds, happy. I believe in standing by your man and validating him but sometimes you have to also set him in his place.

He helps me quite a bit in my own business. The only difference is his business needs daily attention whereas mine does not. I help him that much because I would rather him get to save money than spend it on an extra employee and I enjoy helping him. My main issue is that the money is going to his scumbag family. If that wasn’t the case I wouldn’t consider asking for compensation.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/25 03:12 AM

What does being partners mean when you say that? Is that only through marriage? I can’t imagine giving him a stake in my properties when I’m not married to him. And if we were to get a divorce I would want my properties to be 100 percent mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/25 04:53 PM

Just poor life decisions. They are single with two kids from different women. They always need money for something. Help with rent, help with something for the kid. Job isn’t paying enough. It would be difficult to hire someone else financially. He actually has a grill cook who quit because he’s afraid to leave his house because of ICE and we were discussing not even replacing him and just working harder so there’s extra money from not paying him.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/25 04:51 PM
1

I guess the big issue with asking for compensation is where to draw the line. I am thinking about asking for compensation for the busiest day I work which is a full 12 hour day. But I am there doing something for his business daily. Tomorrow, he will go and change the locks on one of my apartment doors for me since the tenant moved out. I don’t plan on compensating him for that. I’m concerned that asking for money will disrupt the dynamic we have. But at the same time I’m become resentful.

Another user brought up not working for him. Maybe that is the solution. I feel sad about that because I do work for him simply because I enjoy it. We both like spending a lot of time together. But I am also becoming angry and resentful over the situation. I honestly would rather see him save the money, not give it to me or to his cousin. But in my head if he’s giving it to anyone it should be me first since I’m working so hard. I will have to probably have a deeper discussion on how i feel with…

He can pay his cousin sure. But he’s paying his cousin with money he would have to pay a staff member if I didn’t work for free. I work for him because I want to help him. Maybe I will bring up not working for him but he will then have to find someone to replace me and he loses the money either way. I did bring up his cousin to him. He said he will talk to his cousin but I know either way when his cousin is in another tight bind and he comes for money he will help him.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/25 04:19 PM

I brought up his cousin but I didn’t bring up compensation. I feel bad bringing it up because we both help one another but I definitely help a lot more and I’m very physically and mentally tired because of it.

So in my tiredness yesterday is when this actually dawned on me. I never thought about being compensated because I helped because wanted to. But yesterday I was like wtf am I doing. I actually did bring it up to him and he said he will talk to his cousin but I don’t really feel like that’s a solution for me. Because I know him and I know when his cousin comes for help again he’s gonna still give it. I feel like I need a solution where I don’t become resentful and I feel like that would be throug…

I agree. I feel bad asking for this because we would well together. There are times when some emergency is happening at my rental and I will stay in the restaurant and work while he goes to my rental and handles it. I feel like we have a relationship where we just support one another. But I also feel exhausted and I’m starting to feel angry that he’s easily giving away money to someone while we work so hard.

I do believe that if people want to be parents they don’t necessarily need to have a partner. I have a cousin who desperately wants to be a mother. She’s a doctor and makes a good income. She just broke up with her bf of 4 years and is now 36. I don’t see why she doesnt go the sperm bank route or find a man who’s ok signing away his rights to a child.

Someone not having the same opportunity as other doesn’t mean they have a right to go into someone else country. I do wish people the best in their country. Where did you see that I blame anyone? I can understand people desires to leave their country. I can also understand that having a desire to not be in your country doesn’t give you a right to someone else’s.

The country that your ancestors helped create is still here. The pain your ancestors went through isn’t currently occurring to them. I never said a person in third world country deserves less than me. They are free to have the same as me in their country.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:34 PM

You’re right. I did not word it correctly.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:31 PM

Actually multiple people understood what I was saying and someone actually commented to you backing up my point about illegals.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:27 PM

Someone who is illegal is an immigrant that just came here. Yes they could be people on visas but becoming an American citizen is not something that happens overnight.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:24 PM

I should have said illegal immigrant. I assumed that was understood when I said an immigrant that just came here. There is nothing we can do about legal citizens. I am talking about people who are against deportation and believe that people who are not here legally have equal right to be here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:17 PM

I don’t think they are our business. We can’t support everyone. Legal Americans need to be priority before we give charity to anyone else. I am not a huge fan of getting rid of student debt. But I would much prefer to see our government money go to that before it goes to support people who arnt here legally.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:14 PM

Illegal immigrants who are here came here of their own accord and chose to stay in a country unlawfully. That’s their choice. No one forced them to do that. Also there are people who have just come to this country illegally and they havent even given anything back at all to the country. Yet people think they have a right to be here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:12 PM

It looks like understanding that if you are an American especially several generations that you have a right to the country. I didn’t say to implement anything. I just see people of all races who think people here who arnt even here legally have an equal right to the country. That’s a dumb thing for them to have told themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:10 PM

No.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 06:08 PM

Are you talking about immigrants that are not legal citizens like people on visa? There are legal citizens that are also immigrants.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 05:56 PM

Why does someone living here illegally deserve the same opportunities?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 05:54 PM

People who come from generations of people who have built this country absolutely do deserve to be first in line to the opportunities that their ancestors created for them. To say America is the land of immigrants as if generations of people haven’t been living here for years is to try and disregard the hard work that people have put in to make this country. And when I say that I’m talking about all races. Imagine being a decedent of slaves, your ancestors literally suffered and died to help cre…

I wouldnt expect an engagement in that situation I would just expect to go down to a courthouse and get married. Which is exactly what my parents did. No ring involved, no official engagement, they just went down to the court house and got married. My mom bought herself a band a few years later and my dad has never worn a ring.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 04:55 PM
1

Completely agree. I think he’s handling it how he should. I think he could even fully walk away and he would be in his right to do so. But the whole situation just sucks for the kid. Similar situations have happened in my family and it was great for the kid because the bio dads were absolute trash.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/25 04:19 PM
1

Yes I suppose. Very similar situations have occurred in my family and those men have stood by the child and raised them as their own fully. It’s been so pivotal in how the child ended up growing up. I definitely think the guy has a right to even fully walk away if he wants. But even just removing financial assistance I think could be difficult for the child to understand. That child only knows him as a father, he’s not going to see it the same way we as people from the outside will.

The initial post looked to say “women claim that they care about morals and yet they sleep with criminals”. My response has been pointing out that your points to make this claim don’t go together. The women claiming the first part are not the ones sleeping with criminals.

I was never counting your point. All my comments have clearly stated your points to make your argument don’t go together. If you said bad behavior doesn’t always matter because women who live amongst gang members are ok with sleeping with gang members, I would say sure. Instead I’m saying celibate men who are celibate because of poor personality and morals probably don’t live amongst women that have normalized poor morals.

I don’t know what women you have had debates with that act like women have a hive mind. But they don’t. If you make an argument acting like women have a hive mind people are going to point out that they don’t and so your points to make your argument do not work together.

The women in the second point that are interacting with these men are different from the women in the first point. They are more likely to come from broken homes, more likely to be in a desperate financial situation, more likely to be looking for a man to help them. They are going to make morally poor decisions the same as the men in their community because that is what they know. It’s silly to think that men and women act the same in all demographics and social classes.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 05:41 PM

Yea if you don’t drink and the place has a limited variety of what you can eat it can definitely put you in a difficult spot. I love to try new restaurants and i remember going out with a guy once who discovered that he needed to change his eating habit or he would develop crohns. He had to give up gluten and I remember being on the date and thinking how am I going to have a relationship with this guy, he can’t do the one thing I love doing, eating.

I don’t feel like these stats are connected. There are a lot of women who will never interact with criminals and gang members. The men in your second point are not dealing with the women in your first point. Also nondrinker does make you a bit of an outcast as an adult and can make it harder to pair up. And I say that as a non drinker.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 12:33 PM
1

Yes it is relevant because it has nothing to do with the definition of mutually beneficial. We should never have discussed tangible benefit. We discussed it because you claimed that it was a requirement and I didn’t fact check before continuing the conversation. You were incorrect. Something DOES NOT need to be tangible for it to be mutually beneficial.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 02:43 AM
1

Yes, what about my comment that I just said to you has to do with tangible? You were the one that initially said something had to be tangible to be mutually beneficial and you were wrong. It doesn’t. What facts are you looking for?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 02:26 AM
1

“Also the definition of mutually beneficial is “When two people or groups work together to achieve a shared goal”. If a man’s goal is for the woman he is with to be comfortable and her goal is to be comfortable then him giving her money is mutually beneficial.” Money is not the mutual beneficial thing. The fact that they are achieving a shared goal is why it is mutually beneficial.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 02:17 AM
1

My money argument does stand. I literally explained how it correlates to the actual definition of mutually beneficial.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 02:14 AM
1

Tangible benefit is actually irrelevant. It has nothing to do with the definition of mutually beneficial. Also money is one of the first things you need to be comfortable.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 02:11 AM

Giving money to someone is a form of physical intimacy. The woman is sharing her need and the man is choosing to help her. That requires closeness. Also the definition of mutually beneficial is “When two people or groups work together to achieve a shared goal”. If a man’s goal is for the woman he is with to be comfortable and her goal is to be comfortable then him giving her money is mutually beneficial.

I literally use the word virgin in my initial comment to describe the guy. The overall person I described without any other context men will say “well look at least he is not disrespectful to women”. That’s literally in the comment example that you are responding to. However, my comment goes on to show that he ultimately isn’t any different. So the idea that women should sacrifice good looks for these men who appear to be respectful is dumb. Because these supposed “nice guys” are the same. If yo…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 07:32 PM
2

My point is that many men are disrespectful of women. A man’s lack of romantic experience is no indication that he will show a woman respect, despite that often being indicated on this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 07:12 PM
1

No I saw he was unattractive and as I continued to watch I saw his personality is also unattractive. Hes like many other men, his virginal status is no indication that he will be respectful to women as is often indicated in this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 07:09 PM
3

The idea that women should pick virginal men because they somehow have more respect for women is pushed here all the time. Men on here critize women all the time for going after men with money or men who are attractive. They say things like “oh she wants the bad guy who will cheat instead of the nice guy”. When in reality the “nice guy” doesn’t cheat simply because he can’t find another woman willing to sleep with him. Quick example of a comment made earlier to me today: https://np.reddit.com/r/…

Not in a FAANG. That particular company was a Fortune 500. The majority of the team were still Americans. I now work for a consulting firm but we are all Americans. My clients often do have people with h1B visas and imo they are not more competent than Americans who went to college for computer science. My passion about it is more so seeing young people complete degrees in CS and struggle to find jobs. I believe a country should look out for its people. I also believe that if you complete a degr…

Possibly. Back during trumps first presidency I saw people in my team lose their h1b visas and literally had to leave the country immediately. It’s disappointing that he won’t be doing the same this time around.

I understand what you’re saying. But any billionaire donating millions wouldn’t you think that there is some incentive on their end to do so? When bill gates donates 50 millions to the support Kamala, is it out of the kindness of his heart?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 05:23 PM

No I’m pretty anti immigration which has been a big motivator in who I vote for. So the discussion on h1b visas has been disappointing to me. I’m also not a fan of big pharma profiting on messing up peoples kids. But I’m also pro choice and pro gun control. These are not huge factors on who I vote for though. I live in a blue state so there’s already laws on that at a state level.

Ok? What evidence is there that men are more ok with being cheated on now than in the past? Edit: are you saying it’s 50/50 and women are just a likely to leave now due to infidelity?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:53 PM

I do believe men are less likely to leave for other reasons. I think that is mainly because men are attacked more for leaving a marriage. They are seen as abandoning their family even if they intend to still be an active father. Women are given the option to pursue their happiness. Men are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:51 PM

Men are more likely to leave if their wife cheats. “61% of men who cheated are still married, while 34% are separated or divorced. But only 44% of women who have cheated are still married, and 47% are divorced or separated.” I think that makes sense. It’s the same way men here view n count on a woman differently than on a man. A woman having sex is seen as a bigger deal than a man having sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:33 PM

There’s a lot of “pious” men who cheat. My grandfather also cheated on my grandmother their whole marriage and he was a pastor. I would say the two big indicators to if infidelity will occur in your marriage is social status/money. My uncle is grotesque but he’s a head doctor in a hospital and makes enough to support multiple families. From what I know most of his mistresses (if not all) have been financially desperate. But in my opinion it would be silly for a single woman to reject a man becau…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:26 PM

Both the average man and the average woman is going to end up struggling financially after a divorce especially if kids are involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:19 PM

I think I fall into the 50/50 category. There are things you listed that I just don’t care to deal with. I like him driving, I like to pick dinner. I like him dealing with the house stuff. Funny enough both me and my bf have businesses and I hate to deal with anything with my business and often have him handle it and he doesn’t enjoy dealing with things in his business but I enjoy it. So we are often making decisions for one another’s business.

Most people don’t have the patience to wait for an individual for months and months and I say that as a woman. I’m not going to go six months without having sex because a man is vetting me that long.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:13 PM
1

And what’s stopping a man from just agreeing in order to get what they want?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 03:12 PM

I’ve always understood why people would stay in marriages with infidelity, especially women. It’s hard to be a single mom, hard to split bills and possibly struggle, depending on culture a broken family is looked down upon , etc. And for awhile I was like I get it, if it happened to me and I was married I would consider staying. But it’s hit me, it’s such a waste to give your life to an individual who repeatedly shows you they don’t love and respect you. My aunt stayed with my uncle for 35 years…

I mean there are men and women who will put up a lie for a while. It’s also easier to do in today’s age when people arnt meeting others through third groups and are predominantly meeting online where the main form of communication is texting. /r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:18 PM

Or it could means that sex isn’t something trivial for some women, which is why the guy had to lie about his intentions to get sex in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:17 PM
8

The discussion is not about if it’s right or wrong that someone is being used. It’s just about how it occurs. OP is claiming that being used for sex basically doesn’t happen. If a man enjoys the date why would it matter that the woman lied to him just to get a free meal? Maybe because people go into interactions expecting a certain outcome and it’s disappointing when you were deceived about what that outcome would be.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:16 PM
1

I didn’t say that at all. Being used as nothing to do with regret. I actually said nothing about regret so I don’t know where you’re getting that from.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 02:12 PM
7

I did not use the word consent as if to imply assault, that is literally the actual definition from google. Consent in this regard just means that you may not have agreed had you known the truth. You can recognize that someone used you and you can also recognize you made poor decisions/judgement. Both things can be true at the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 05:40 AM
12

When someone is using someone they are aware of their intentions. If you had a genuine interest and then lost interest then no that isn’t using someone. However, there are women who go on dates just for the free meal and are well aware that they have no interest in the guy. Those women are using the men for free meals.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/25 05:01 AM
143

From Google: “Being used” means someone is taking advantage of you for their own benefit, often without your full understanding or consent. It can also mean someone is manipulating you in some way. If a woman pretends to like a man just to get his money then he is being used for his money. Because he is under the belief the she genuinely likes him but the reality is that she is being manipulative for her benefit. Had she been honest there’s a chance he would not give her any money. The same thin…

I see this with other cultures as well. I feel like it’s a lack of self identity or some sort of self hate. I knew a girl who had no Brazilian affiliation, didn’t look Brazilian in anyway. Almost all her friends were Brazilian and she had gone out of her way to learn Portuguese. I can’t be bothered to even learn my father’s native language let alone some language I have no affiliation with.

I’m convinced that the online dating troubles people have are due to them being low value but inflating their value. That goes for both men and women. Men and women talking about what little the other brings to the table while they also bring nothing to the table.

Most young people are very heavily motivated by material objects of both genders. But that’s actually beside the point. My point is there are a lot of young people who want to be passionate about their careers and don’t see a value in education. What pathways do they have in mind when they seem to want to opt out of working a job that pays the bills and opt out of educating themselves?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/25 04:56 PM
2

You are probably correct. I’m assuming these young people are just living rent free in their parents house because I can’t think of a job that will pay an 18 year old enough to live on their own aside from sex work. I also never felt I had to the option to just do nothing out of high school. My parents were very focused on education so going straight into work without college wasn’t really an option for me either.

What permanent risk has she taken? Any risk she took was for herself. She was on birth control because she wanted to have sex without pregnancy. She had kids because she wanted to have children. She has agency over her life.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 09:12 PM
1

Yes I would say that is inconsiderate then for him to just shut down. I do understand his perspective better because I don’t get why the first option would be an options that could be permanent on his end. Its interesting to me that she’s willing to end her relationship when she could also just take the permanent step on her end.

Her body being modified is her choice. I also have side effects from birth control and chose to get off of it. I also manage to have sex without pregnancy. I remember a story on a reality show years ago where the rnb singer Neyo asked his gf at the time to get her tubes burnt after giving birth to their last child together. Apparently, they figured while she was in the hospital to give birth that it would make sense to just do the procedure then. She went forward with the procedure only for them…

That’s very possible. I didn’t think of that. I see that other commenters also made the assumption he must want to have more kids possibly with another woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 08:19 PM
1

It’s not likely he wants more kids. It’s very possible he just doesn’t see the need to make a change to his body. I feel the same way. Why would I tamper with myself when there’s multiple ways to prevent pregnancy aside from birth control pills and vasectomy. The highest percentage I could find estimates 20 percent of men have vasectomies. It is not common procedure.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 08:12 PM
1

I wouldn’t say we have enough info to make that conclusion.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 08:05 PM
1

We don’t really have his perspective. It’s possible that he sees other options. She’s the one asking Reddit if she should leave her bf because he wont get a vasectomy as if there arnt multiple ways to prevent pregnancy aside from birth control pill and vasectomy.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 08:05 PM
1

You’re probably right about the second part. It’s possible that he did try to communicate but she is being adamant about him needing to get a vasectomy.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 08:02 PM

I suggested that in my comment. But there’s also numerous ways to prevent pregnancy. Trying to force your partner to make a modification to their body and being upset when they say no shows a lack of consideration for your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 07:58 PM
2

https://np.reddit.com/r/relationship_advice/s/J6anDz2hWF Going to Reddit for relationship advice is horrible idea. The vast majority of these comments are encouraging this woman to leave her bf. She has indicated no issue with the relationship aside for a disagreement on how to prevent pregnancy, she has two kids. Do people not realize how difficult it can be to be a single mother of two? Do people not realize what a big ask it is for someone to make lifelong modifications to their body?

I mean women can also do this as well. If people work hard for their stuff they are entitled to it and they have a right to take whatever avenues there are to protect their assets. I have two homes. Legally if I were to get married my husband would be entitled to half of them. I bought these homes as a single woman, why should he be entitled to something I worked hard for long before I knew him?

There are multiple aspects of my life that are easier because my bf is in my life. But being with someone does add a stress to my life that wouldn’t be there if I was single. /r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 08:43 PM

Building up doesn’t have to do with dissatisfaction with a partner. Building up your partner could be cooking a breakfast for them before work so they arnt starting their day hungry, which leads to them having an overall better day. It could be compliments a partner who has low self esteem. It’s asking yourself “how can I make my partners life easier”.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 05:54 PM
1

How is building up your partner toxic? A big part of building up your partner is supporting them. The world is already hard as is. Why would you want to be with someone ready to make it harder or someone who is willing to sit back and watch you struggle?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/25 05:09 PM
5

When you are in a romantic relationship with someone both people should be thinking to themselves “how can we grow together, how can we build one another up. How can I help my partner” Instead I think we have a lot of men and women who are thinking “how can I offer as little as possible to an individual while taking as much as possible from them”. These people I believe have this mentality even when dating which is why I think dating has become much harder.

For me it was sunk cost. I think I convinced myself that even though was unhappy there was no better situation. I would either be alone and unhappy or with someone worse and unhappy. Sometimes you can’t see beyond your own misery and visualize a better future. The reality is that being alone is better than being with someone you’re unhappy with. But I didn’t realize it at the time.

Looking back at my past relationship, a big reason I stayed in it as long as I did was because I was afraid of being alone. That’s probably one of the biggest reason couples don’t that need to breakup stay together, especially unmarried couples. What a dumb reason to attach yourself to someone.

I think sexual compatibility is something that we have been told not to focus on. I mean I can’t speak for everyone but if I had a great partner (good family, good values, good job) and the biggest issue was he wouldn’t have sex with me, my family would think I’m crazy for leaving. Are they? I felt my calories were a bit high but my bf thought my activity level was high enough to accommodate it. I lift regularly almost daily for the last 3/4 years so that’s nothing new. But the diet is where I’m gonna have struggles. I worked with a coach and got into insane shape back in early 2022 but have been struggling to lose back weight for the last two years.

I was just giving approximations of what the daily goal will look like. Today my exact macros will end up being 151g protein, 107g carbs, and 71g fat which is 1671 calories. For cardio im gonna just make sure my heart rate is around 130. I know I can get that done on elliptical.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/25 08:23 PM

Crafted a new meal plan and workout plan for myself. Fairly typically bodybuilding diet. Around 1700 calories a day, 100g of carbs, 70g of fat, 150g of protein. 8k steps a day, 3 cardio days 30 min of elliptical, and 4 lifting days. I struggle to be accountable so I’m gonna share my journey here hoping that it will help me stick to it.

I don’t like the pressure I feel with the weight going down on me. My heaviest I’ve squatted is 205lb which I don’t think is bad for being 5’1 and a woman. But i just don’t enjoy the movement. I do love bicep curling but I feel like my arms are way bigger than they should be for my body and I became a bit insecure about it. New plan is still to do 2 days of legs, a full body day, and bring back an upper body day.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/25 03:38 PM

I’m trying to find my passion for lifting again. Did my first upper body day in a long time yesterday. There was a time when I use to do 4 upper body days. Ive been trying to do only legs for the last 6+ months because I felt my arms were too big. But just doing legs is so boring to me. Weighed in at my heaviest yesterday so time to really get in the zone.

My sink cabinet is in the kitchen. Maybe I made a wrong assumption. The paperwork I have with them said installing the cabinets. To me that would mean having a sink cabinet that has a working sink, the same way it was working when they started the job. I do think that I should have been informed beforehand. They just started the installation. They have been working on the apartment for a week and a half and I’m now being informed about the need for a plumber. Now there’s this stress to get a plu…

The sink was working fine before. So if you took apart a sink and removed the cabinets and put in new cabinets shouldn’t you also be putting it back in the same condition you found it in? If I’m wrong maybe I’m wrong. But I would assume that if you take a job the final outcome is a working outcome. Especially if it was working before.

I hired someone to install new kitchen cabinets for me. They took the job, they are working on the sink cabinets and now they are telling me I need to get a plumber to do the connection for the pipes to the sink. Wouldn’t that be part of the installation that I’m already paying them for?

Women often face harsher consequences/judgment for speaking up. In a professional setting a man being assertive is a good thing, a woman being assertive is her being a nag/bitch/difficult/etc. You’ve also brought women not taking initiative in dating but why would they? Gender roles are still normalized in our society. Taking initiative means to be the first one to do something, esp. to solve a problem. Women do take initiative in various areas of life. Yea this is bizarre. If you are relying on porn to maintain an erection there’s obviously an issue that needs to be addressed.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 04:37 PM
1

I see a lot of women have an issue with it maybe for religious reasons or feeling as if their partner is getting off to someone else. From what I’ve read some men also suffer from performance issues due to watching porn. Either way, people are allowed to set boundaries around what they are comfortable with in a relationship. It’s not for me or you to understand, it’s for their partner to understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 04:36 PM
5

People need to have realistic expectations from a relationship. If you as a man let yourself go and are disgustingly obese, don’t be upset if your wife/gf doesn’t want to fuck you (obviously applies to women as well). If you as a woman don’t fuck your partner, don’t be upset if he’s watching porn (obviously this applies to men as well).

My partner (a man) actually has the same perspective as you, that you’re getting off to someone that’s not your partner and that is a betrayal to the relationship. I understand that perspective from a man looking at it. For me as a woman, I don’t feel like I’m getting off to someone in the video, I’m getting off to the actions in the video. Nevertheless, we have decided that neither of us will look at porn. I think each relationship has to set the rules that work for them. If porn is a deal brea…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 11:43 PM

I’m not understanding the math on how you spent that much on dating. Also if that money is distributed amongst multiple women how would any one woman become a millionaire from just letting men court her?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 11:41 PM

Well then women should advocate for themselves more. The gap does not exist for women who choose to do so. Blaming the patriarchy or men not taking care of their kids is nonsense.

I am confused by your responses I was looking for clarity. Women making the same money as men doing the same role seems very relevant to me. That alone shows that the wage gap is a myth. Of course. My comment wasn’t about kids. My comment was about how it could be difficult to adjust to living with someone when you are already use/comfortable with how you live. I’m in my late 20s and I would guess that if someone is living on their own at my age or older and needs no financial help then they probably can create a decent amount of peace in their life. If you’re struggling financially though your best bet is to partner up to alleviate the burden.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/25 06:57 PM

People disregard other’s feelings all the time. This is something that would naturally happen in all relationships at some point to some degree. Parents to their kids, kids to parents, boss to subordinates, etc. So imo doing something that disregards someone’s feelings is something that a couple can move past. Most relationships are monogamous. Most people in a monogamous relationship would assume their partner wants to stay that way. If you have two people who are ok with a non monogamous relat…

I understand that, couples break commitments to their partners all the time. These things happen in all relationship not even just romantic. Cheating is specifically looks down up because disloyalty in that way causes a lot of pain for someone who believes in monogamy. If you don’t have an issue with being in a poly relationship, forgive the cheating and open the relationship. It’s better to stay with the father to your child vs creating the same dynamic with someone else at least imo.

A lot of women (and men too) get caught up in the idea of being in a relationship. They are afraid to be alone and they hope the things about their partner they don’t like will eventually fix itself. Then they commit with marriage and kids, the novelty of the relationship wears off, and become resentful that their partner never morphed into who they wanted them to be.

I think that women have a lower threshold of being able to stay in relationships that they are unhappy with. It’s also possible that maybe they are less likely to seek gratification elsewhere and instead focus on leaving the relationship that makes them unhappy. Someone sending a letter that refers to a married couple as a common way to refer to married couples isn’t forcing anything on them. If your wife was this bothered by someone referring to her as your wife you probably should be a bit concerned.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 07:24 PM

People arnt going to have a blaring sign that show contempt for their partners. It’s the small things like this. When you marry someone you become one. Why would you be this upset that someone is making a reference to you in that way.

My comment has nothing to do with a woman accepting not receiving pleasure during intimacy. My initial comment actual described a man who cared very much about his partners feelings and making her feel good. Not sure why but you keep attempting to move the goal post.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 06:21 PM

Generic baddie pretty much goes hand in hand. Baddie is a certain look, which Megan currently has alongside with many other women on Instagram. Imo I don’t think she stand out anymore. Young Megan fox had a unique sultry look. To be fair I think even that version of Megan had work done but her work has become too extreme and replicates too much of what other women are getting done.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 06:14 PM

https://np.reddit.com/r/trueratecelebrities/s/BQ4v2T4TGH Angelina in her 30s is stunning and by no means a generic beauty. She’s more than 10 years older than Megan so comparing them currently isn’t really fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 05:43 PM

Baddies are hot. She wasn’t saying she wasn’t hot. But she’s hot in the same way that a lot of women who have money and have a high following on Instagram are hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 05:27 PM

My thoughts are exactly what you stated. She was being set up to be the next Angelina Jolie but she messed it up with all the fake work done.

If you’re viewing having sex with your partner, again a normal form of intimacy, as being used. You have issues with sex that you should discuss with a therapist. Lol I never demanded any woman do anything in her relationship. People are allowed to let their relationship develop all the resentment they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 04:44 PM

This has nothing to do with consent. If you dont want to do something that makes your partner happy despite having no limitations that prevent you from doing it, you shouldn’t be surprised if your partner becomes unhappy in the relationship. You’re doing mental gymnastics to turn a very practical statement into something dark.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 04:29 PM

I don’t understand your question. There are many men that say thank you. Saying thank you isn’t aligned to one gender from my knowledge.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 04:22 PM

Men in real life arnt claiming any of the things you said. You should want to have sex with your partner simply because it’s a major form of intimacy. But if you know your partner values it that’s an added incentive. We don’t get to tell someone to have sex, you’re correct. But if you are choosing not to have sex with your partner and he stops doing things that also make you happy, you don’t really get to be upset.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 04:20 PM

They are expecting that from being a good partner their partner will be good back to them. If you ignore what your partner values simply because you don’t value it then you arnt a good partner.

A lot of women are deceitful about what they are willing to give in a relationship. Men can’t be mind readers.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 04:07 PM

Lots of guys are good to their partners and they still arnt getting sex. That’s what I put in my initial post. Women are expecting men to go above and beyond and yet they expect men to change what they value.bEven you suggested that a man should find something else that makes him happy if he isn’t getting sex. That mentality will ultimately lead to unhappiness in a relationship. You can’t expect your partner to keep giving and you don’t give back because “it shouldn’t be a chore”.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 04:05 PM

I think it’s rational to not want to date someone who has children with someone else. For a woman at least, you might not end up having to be around the kid that much. But for a man you’re looking at immediately taking on the role of father and provider for a child you didn’t bring into this world.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 04:02 PM

Yup, I do think that’s what I described. You have to be willing to give to get. I think many relationships fall into this standoff of waiting for the other person to do something they like before they do something they like.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 03:57 PM

Sex is not the only thing they are getting out of the women they are with, but it’s something they value. Sex is a form of intimacy and it’s not the only form. But if that’s the form your partner values and you’re unwilling to do it then I’m doubtful of how happy the relationship will be. And if sex is a chore once and awhile that’s ok. If you can’t meet your partners needs for whatever reason they may become unhappy. They may leave. There is nothing wrong with that. People don’t have to change …

I was watching soft white underbelly interview a divorce attorney. He said that one of his female clients knew her marriage was over when her husband stopped buying her favorite granola. It has nothing to do with being swayed by the media. His wife most likely ignored the fact that he was unhappy, ignored his concerns about the marriage. When he saw examples of the what he considered a loving marriage and showed his wife, she chose to twist things instead of acknowledging that her husband was happy and they needed some sort of compromise.

If the story is real I would say the demise of the marriage is probably her husband not being happy with their relationship dynamic and TikTok making him think he could change the dynamic.

I get that you’re saying they don’t count but what about the men who are letting themselves go? Do they not count as well? I think that men desire companionship and not just by any woman. Sure they want to be desired physically but I also think that they want a woman that they desire physically. I think focusing on money over looks will get them a woman they desire.

She’s settling if that’s what she values. Women who are living the life they want because they are with men that can provide that I doubt feel like they are settling. Both genders let themselves go. I’m not arguing that. But it seems your argument is that what men truly value is to be physically desired by their partner above all else. Idk if I agree with that. But for sure if a specific man values that then he should pursue it.

A man would have no way of knowing if a woman was consistent with her rules for having sex. If you go to dating subreddits you’ll see that many woman are frustrated with how quickly men want to have sex. Men will wait for a woman they feel is worthwhile to wait for. I’m not arguing it’s not important. I’m saying that without money you ultimately are left to settle. Above average woman arnt going to stay with a man just because he’s good looking.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/24 07:28 PM

Above average women arnt sleeping around like that. It’s women who men don’t want that hope to use sex to leverage a relationship. Also if men didn’t want relationships, most rich men wouldn’t have wives.

Yes I am. I think people are thinking that I’m saying looks don’t matter. That’s not what I think. It matters but it’s not as important. Someone who is average in looks or a little below average but with money can get a very attractive woman. But a very attractive woman wants a soft life so she will ultimately settle down with the man who has the money to give her that.

Not really. Men here talk about hypergamy all the time. Looks alone will not get a good looking woman. Good looking women pair up with men that make their life easier aka men who have money.

What are these deeply unpopular ideas that men advocate for? I disagree with the reasoning behind why movements fail that women take up. I would say the real reason is that not enough women are behind it. For example you brought up a cause “top free advocacy” that i as a woman do not care about. I think where you are likely to see change is on ideas that are supported significantly by both genders.

What percentage has to do with multiple marriages? Even if the percentage is 40 percent for the divorce rate, there’s most likely higher than 10 percent of married couples who choose not to divorce simply because they don’t believe in it. Meaning the percentage of marriages that fail are still a majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 11:01 PM

I don’t think looks out weigh it. But money probably does. Financial instability is the number one reason for divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 08:23 PM

I don’t think many people go into marriage expecting to become distant from their partner but I definitely think it’s the norm. 50 percent of marriages end in divorce and theres a percentage that stay together simply because they don’t believe in divorce. With those numbers it means that most marriages ultimately fail.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 08:22 PM
2

Being married to someone you don’t want to hang out with I would say is the norm for most married couples eventually. That shouldn’t be something hard to imagine. When people start out they have stuff to talk about because they don’t know one another. As the relationship progresses and your life becomes intertwined you have those things to talk about. People who don’t enjoy one another’s company from the very start except for sex don’t end up in long term relationships with one another.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 02:48 PM
8

Depending on how much status and money is apart of the equation I would say it works. It’s pretty easy to read about men cheating on their wives and their wives staying because of the money their husbands make. There’s a lot of couples who end up having nothing to talk about even the ones who didn’t chase money or status. People becoming distant from their partner is fairly the normal.

B.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/24 02:58 PM

I think when the women are very young it often is about being predatory. A 35 year old man can find a woman in her late 20s that looks youthful. Going after an 18 year old has nothing to do with looking for youth.

I specifically said men. There are women that I’m sure would agree, I never said there wasn’t. But the average American family has 1.94 kids. If you as a man meet a woman who is already of a age where pregnancy is high risk and she already has kids of her own and you’re shocked that she won’t give you a kid then yes you would be ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 11:45 PM

I wouldn’t say it has anything to do with being poor. Child care is the highest it’s ever been, owning a home to raise your kids in is less attainable than previous generations. And many young child free people are smart enough to know that especially with social media bringing information to us constantly. Why would they opt into that when they are informed on a regular basis how hard that decision could end up being?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 11:39 PM

Are birthdates being low only a gender relation issue? I struggle to imagine having more than one child if any at all because it seems so financially draining. Something JD Vance said in his Joe Rogan interview is that conservative America is very pro birth but it isn’t pro life. If there’s no support for parents that’s going to lower motivation to become a parent.

What I’ve seen referenced on here is that women prefer men 1-3 years older than them. The large age gaps that are often are referenced on PPD are not common and from my understanding chances of divorce increase the larger the age gap. The people with age gap relationships often criticize men who go after women in their late teens/early twenties. These women don’t have life experience and so it is easier to prey on them. I say that as a woman who was an age gap relationship at 19. My ex was 7 yea…

/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 04:48 PM

My point being that if your interested in a successful relationship, your partners opinion will matter to you. A large part of attraction is physical. Someone can be a good partner and not be attracted to their partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 04:46 PM

Men get upset by this too. I’m pretty sure if I cut my hair off into a bob my bf would be upset. Kind of weird to make unnecessary changes that would make your partner less attracted to you.

I wouldn’t say I was a hot mess. But I definitely stayed in spaces too long because I was afraid of what would happen if I changed it up. For example, staying in a job too long because I was insecure and was afraid I wouldn’t find another job that saw value in me (I went on to work at two different companies that treated me better than the one I was scared to leave). Staying in relationships too long because I was afraid of not finding someone else if I left.

I would say my bf has some redpill views. He believes money is a pretty big factor in who women choose to be with. He believes women who are overly showing their skin are looking for attention. He believes that many women who are so upset about abortion laws are upset because they want sleep around and then use abortion as a means of birth control. He came to his views largely on his own. The only redpill content he’s ever watched was probably a little bit of Andrew Tate and he felt like they sa…

I don’t care how much a guy makes exactly but I care if about if he would able to pull his weight financially if we were to live together. I don’t care how much a guy spends on a date. Both me and my bf eat out a lot but at local spots, we also don’t drink. Our bill is typically under 100. I think it’s crazy that people are doing dates that are 200+ dollars. When in a relationship I have no issue spending on my guy, and I have no issue going 50/50 on bills. I do like when a guy makes the effort …

I think if a man wants sex within the first 6-8 weeks of a relationship that’s a realistic expectation. But I don’t see how they can communicate that without it seeming to only be about sex. I can see a man not having that conversation not because he’s trying to con or shame a woman, but because it’s overall a difficult convo to have with someone you don’t really know.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 11:41 PM

If they have those conversations early on they will kill all their relationships prospects. If a guy i barely knew was telling me about his sex expectations, I’m going to immediately think he’s only interested in sex and not even bother to meet him.

Why would you not want to lessen the financial burden for your partner? 50/50 doesn’t typically work because people make different income. But contributing a percentage compared to your partner does help both people. Most men and women are not making enough to survive on just their income.

Fildelity is not conditional. Someone is going to either give it or not. A similar amount of men and women will get cheated on. And the men and women who cheat are still in a minority group.

So what is the difference between you and someone born with testicles? Do you suffer from ED? Are you able to have children one day? I think those would be the first questions out of my mouth if I was told this by a guy. I wouldn’t look at him any differently, I would just wonder how it would affect our relationship long term.

As a woman whose also into fitness I can get the annoyance. Often times the influencers that are being pushed by the algorithm are naturally skinny women who are just trying to show their ass for attention. I don’t see the same reactions to women who are into bodybuilding. But those women usually don’t but a camera under their ass when they are trying to show what they do on back day.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 09:33 PM

Most men do offer this. The majority of men in heterosexual relationships don’t cheat. And cheating statistically is about the same for both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 08:57 PM

If you are going to characterize someone as submissive then obviously you lead the question is your favor. Would you assume a dominant man is into role playing sexual assaulting women? Cause that what the OP is claiming.

I think it would depend on the therapist. I tried betterhelp a couple years back and based on the quiz they make you take, they pair me with a therapist focused on high achieving women who struggled to juggle life. This was exactly what i needed and my first session I found to be extremely impactful in how I think today. My other sessions were kind of useless after the first.

If I’m interested in dating and I’m a single parent I would date a single person with kids. I’m being divorced or widowed wouldn’t make a difference to me. I actually think single parents should focus on pairing up with other single parents. I’ve heard both single dads and single moms often want a partner that is child free. I think that could easily become an unfair partnership for the child free person.

Being a good guy has nothing to do with if you’ve allowed porn to affect your brain.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 07:07 PM

A man can be dominant in bed without participating in the kinks that OP is discussing. Also OP is claiming that good guys have a moral issue with these kinks so they treat women in general different because of their moral views. I would say that is incorrect seeing as though those are fairly common kinks.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 07:05 PM

If a guy is into CNC or not is not an indication of is he’s a good guy. He’s just not into that. If he has a moral dilemma with it that I would say is on him. Most “good guys” have no moral dilemma. Porn has done a pretty good job of normalizing the kinks your discussing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 06:57 PM

Impact in what way? On a day to day basis based on how people interact you are able to determine what sexual kinks they have?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 06:51 PM
24

I know multiple men who consider themselves a “good guy” simply because they won’t cheat. That’s literally the bare minimum you can offer in a relationship. And most of the time the reason they won’t cheat is because they would struggle to find another woman who wants to sleep with them.

I think that a lot of your post is bringing in topics that are irrelevant and that’s where my confusion/issue is. You can say “nice guys” struggle with dating because they do not execute their actions with confidence. And maybe I could agree with that. But “nice guys” have no moral dilemma with CNC, they have no issue with domination. They don’t have a stronger moral framework than “chad” or the “bad guys”. Most of the “nice guys” I’ve met are not respectful, gentle, or considerate of women’s fe…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 05:29 PM

Own them in what way? Most people are not demonstrating their kinks publicly. Also when I say that someone’s personality outside of the bedroom doesn’t determine what kinks they are into that also goes for “Chad” or the “bad guy”. These men are not guaranteed to be into the kinks you’re discussing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 05:14 PM
19

I disagree with this take completely. The kinks you are describing are common from my knowledge. I don’t equate a nice guy with not having those kinks. I actually think someone’s personality outside of the bedroom has little reflection on what they would be into sexually.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 04:53 PM

It could be cultural. In my area it’s pretty common for a man to have his eyebrows shaped up. But idk if that’s a common thing overall. My bf shaves his whole body but I do feel like men shaving is not as common.

Femininity is defined by a set of characteristics. So is masculinity. It’s not something vague that is subjective. If a woman demonstrates multiple masculine characteristics such as being assertive, aggressive, stoic, self reliant, dominant, etc. I would consider her masculine. I think it’s normal for a woman to have one or two characteristics that are masculine. But more than that and I would probably consider them a masculine woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/24 03:28 PM

I agree with this take. I don’t personally believe it’s a gender issue. I think it’s just a people issue. A lot of people don’t care about their partner. the way they expect their partner to care about them.

I would say the girl whose angry. In the scenario with the guy leaving you don’t mention if the woman has the baby. If a baby is involved that adds extra stress to the situation. If the baby is aborted then the situation are equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 05:39 PM

Both of them have the same solution. As a parent you speak to them and guide them. People make poor decisions all the time. Fortunately a lot of decisions can be undone or at least apologized for, like walking out on your pregnancy. Feelings can be let go for example forgiving the man that hurt you.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 05:12 PM

But you agree that she has to first be informed before you have sex with the other woman correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 05:07 PM

There are couples who encounter this issue and choose to open their relationship. That’s perfectly fine. Seeking outside of the relationship without your partners consent would be an issue. No one is obligated to stay celibate and if someone feels their partner is trying to force celibacy on them they should come to a solution with their partner or terminate the relationship.

I wouldn’t date a man my family wouldn’t approve of. I did it once, fought with my family throughout the whole relationship. When we broke up I regretted fighting with the people that have been by my side consistently over a man. Income, college education, religious background, whether or not he has kids are all things my parents would care about. Physical appearance is not something my family would care about.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 01:20 PM

His money doesn’t belong to him? I think I’m pretty well off financially. I dont believe money buys you happiness. But I think it gives you opportunities to achieve happiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:18 PM

The stats are werid. I think the claim is that over 60 percent of young adults now meet online. But as lift mentioned i think online could mean multiple things aside from apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:17 PM

When I came back recently from my PPD hiatus someone in the mega thread mentioned that’s there’s a woman whose very active on PPD but doesn’t come into the mega thread and he’s happy about that. After hanging out here for a little bit recently, I now realize who he’s talking about. And I’m also happy she doesn’t come in the megathread.

If he is unhappy with how she’s acting i would advise him to leave. Even if he were to manage to change her, long term it would probably just lead to resentment in her part which would ultimately kill the relationship.

So your intent was the start ANY conversation? Cause the conversations are all pointing out how easy it appears to be a woman dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 11:51 PM

It didnt. You claiming that those risk exist but then showing a woman who is doesn’t feel like she’s at risk for those things and doesn’t show herself experiencing your claims doesn’t start any conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 02:53 PM

There are influencers who openly share when they don’t feel sure about dates they went on. Nothing you showed in your OP shows the risks you claim. The woman you posted got into a car with a complete stranger to then go to a spa and where a small bathing suit around him.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 01:24 PM
1

Not really. If she had unpleasant dates she can reveal that, there’s nothing wrong with sharing her story. But their woman didn’t have that. What larger point still holds? That women get to be treated to nice dates multiples times a week?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 09:20 AM

If you’re trying to say women don’t have it easy, you picked a pretty bad example to do so.

This wasn’t the OPs experience and obviously not a worry for her given that she was happy to be picked up from her home for her first date and then taken to an intimate spa where she was in a small bath suit.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/24 10:14 PM

My mom told my dad that she would not be cooking regularly in their relationship. She watched her mom either running after kids, in the kitchen cooking or running out the house to work. What standards do women have that you consider low? I would argue women have too high of standards. When I see discourse around expectations for men to pay for $200+ dates, bills for women as if they arnt adults, etc. I find myself wondering if these women are living in reality.

By week 5/6 of my semesters I was skipping most of my classes and self teaching. It would start with me falling behind in one class or a project and missing a class to sit in the library and self teach or finish the project. Then I would fall behind in the class I missed. The majority of the people I’ve met are partnered up. They arnt even dating. They have girlfriends or wives at this point. I mentioned in another comment that there are guys that I assume were either virgins or low sexual experience by the time we graduated college and they are also married or engaged. I’m sure they exist I’m not denying that. But based on my experience it seems like a small minority.

I would guess they exist in a small minority and maybe it has grown since Covid especially with work from home becoming more common. But honestly even the “weridos” at my job when I went into the office are paired up now. No man or woman should be discussing with their partner what sexual acts they performed on their exes. If you’re doing that you’re begging to get your feelings hurt.

Has the way couple interacted with one another sexually changed? Intimacy can dwindle because of kids, emotional needs not being met, busy work schedules, etc. I assume that has always been the case throughout history. Yet people still expected their partners to be faithful.
