Not necessarily true. There are many brands that do not carcinogenic chemicals like Tarte, bare minerals, etc. Also if you have proper occlusives from your skincare routine, the makeup should not penetrate the skin. Makeup will not do a toll on your face like alcohol, sugar, and smoking will.

I do not think your skincare routine is excessive. You know what you want and what works and you can budget for that.

Poshmark!!! Sell and buy!! I sell alot of my clothes on their since I have alot of name brand. I currently have a $70 balance on their and can cash that out or buy clothes on the app. I recommend creating a look book of clothes you must have and the ones that are missing from that , only stick to purchasing those. If not you'll be impulsive which can cause you to buy more because you can't wear black shoes with that brown jumper you just bought, it's going to prompt you to buy more. Stick to you…

Nothing made me embrace my feminine energy more than motherhood (not saying the solution is having children), but think about your mind, body, and how it was created to bear life, in all aspects of your life not just physical. We have had periods since we were in early middle school. Months and months of shedding and forgotten reminders of our capabilities. Once i carried my child in my womb I thought to myself, "do I even love this thing inside of me?" "am I capable of loving this human inside …

Yes yes. Thank you so much for your encouraging response. I think alot of my reasoning in posting in this sub is looking for the strength and encouragement to keep going as I have had many seasons of praising him and seeing him with a lens of gratitude. I really do. It gets hard and very lonely and as I expressed, I feel at a lull. But I haven't given up. It would be great to have a community of women who praised their husbands and were pleased to serve them. In every church community I've been …

Thank you I needed to hear this...also we don't have a Christian red pill women sub. There is a stark difference between the elite 1960's social club at r/redpillwomen than living a Christian Life. They advocate for whatever the flesh desires and tie it up with a bow and an apron. I.e. "open relationships." Etc.

I appreciate the compassion in your post. I do believe it is an emotional root and it is covered. There was a big stress from a job that emasculated him. He just ended that job after 7 years and is now entering a new one next week!! Praise God I am eagerly waiting to see if that helps. But the emotion is definitely a root that is hard to uncover. I do suspect he is depressed. He has alot of physical issues that only seem to manifest on days like Sunday (day before work) or leading up to a stress…

Yeah I have suggested it. He does not want to divorce. I am really trying to get the idea in his head that it might be a good option for us. I wouldn't call him a loser, I love him. I want him to be better. I also want to accept him for his faults. That is a fault of mine. :(

Thank you! For some reason my phone showed me a notification that you commented but I was unable to see it until this morning. I am welcome to all of the above, that's why I'm here, so thank you. I guess I do struggle with working on my insecurities the most. I really do not know how to progress from this state of feeling "less than." Especially in my marriage. It would be worth having a conversation with him, but he is really weak in the area of affirmation, he's also expressed to me that he do…

Agree with all of what you are saying. I am not 100% happy with my life. I feel like a lot of what I am doing as a wife and mom is often not appreciated. I feel like my husband moreso appreciates worldly women too. He loves characters in movies that potray exactly that: confidence, attractiveness, successful business prowess and independence. I am not happy because I feel like I am living a life of serventude and not one of partnership. Feel like i'm paying for the mistakes of entering this marr…

You have to drown out the negativity from others. Because they will make you feel resentful toward your husband if they are the only ones you can vent to in an emotional time for you. Find one good friend who will not rag on you but build you up in your goals. Even me in a conservative christian community finds it hard to find women who won't rag on my husband. I have one best friend who constantly builds me up even if my husband is being lazy, etc. She gives me motivation to keep treating him w…

Hoping and praying your marriage is restored!!! Sounds like he's receptive!! Also, don't think because you have had a break and a change in believes that you can't revert back to old behavior. You might. It's your default. Tell him you'd be willing to go to therapy with him to continue on your streak! All marriages are hard and usually the worst behavior is brought out behind closed doors. Just wouldn't want you to be blind sided again if you do get back together.

I would just be 100% honest with him. Guys want straight up honesty. They cannot read our minds and usually when they tell us something, they tell it how it is. If he asks if you are you dating, that's when you say, "I really want to long term commitment. I really desire that for my life. And I want things to workout between us. I continue to talk to guys on the dating app because I am not very hopeful of us working out, I know I've screwed up alot in the past and I don't expect you to take me b…

Thank you. That is essentially why I am on RPW, to be emersed in a culture of being sweet to my husband even when it's hard. Would you have any words of advice for my unique situation of needing extra help?

Of course. I don't think it's a sin that he helps me around the house. Unfortunately he isn't willing to assist me and lay down his life for me. And unfortunately he hasn't been to church with me for one year now. So we have not been very involved with couples in the church or getting familiar with older couples. I wish we did. Yeah so his mom worked full time with three kids. (She also got her master's degree in the midst of it that might have been when she only had one.) She is OCD and when I asked her how she did it all with three kids she told me that she's "addicted to adrenaline." So I feel like that's my husbands subconscious standard of me. She's nearing 60 and she still works full-time like a crazy lady, just recently stepped down from a directors position at an IT department. I don't think she'll stop working…

I absolutely love that! & it sounds like something I would already do. I think it's perfect timing as her wedding is not until May and we are really starting to buckle down and will be spending a lot of time coming up! This is a great reply and you touched great points. I do like the personal approach and tend to "lower" myself down so to speak by being vunerable about my own experience. And you're absolutely right it has become more tricky to navigate the conversation in light of the body positivity movement.

You have a very unique situation that I have not experienced. But you are still early in the game. 6 months. At 9 months I started to experience relief as I can guarantee she sleeps through the night every night. My life has felt a little back to normal since then. One day at a time. Just look at today and know that this time will pass and once she becomes more independent you yourself will have more freedoms. Also I have experienced the most ease with everything my last month as I started an SS…

I love pedicures. Thrift/consignment shopping. Dreaming about home decor. Reading a book in my living room, overlooking our lake. Sitting on the patio, no electronics, overlooking the lake- getting sunshine. Having a night with my bestfriend drinking craft beer. Making coffee on the weekends, really enjoying the process.

Personally love the natural eye for everyday versus the lash lift. My husband agrees. I curl my lashes with a lash curl every morning as part of my routine. Even without mascara it makes a slight nice difference.

You are absolutely right! Traditional values are wonderful and work very well for a marriage. After Christmas with the family this morning my husband just said, "I'm tired, I could fall asleep right now." In the past I would have discouraged him from this for selfish reasons, but after motivation from this sub I said to him, "go take a nap babe, you deserve it, I'll take care of the baby." He was like, "really?" I want to continue this behavior to encourage him to be at ease, to help him be the …

Thanks for this. It's no surprise that I played basketball and volleyball in Highschool. My husband does say he loves my shoulders and prefers them over narrow shoulders. My point is it's VERY hard to dress feminine for this body type. Most clothing models have very symmetrical proportions. But I will follow some of these fitness models and maybe get some inspo.

On what basis do you have to say I sound aweful? I am trying to learn how to live with him. We clearly know the difference between beta and alpha and I acknowledge that my husband is beta and I was wondering if the sub has resources for this relationship dynamic. I am sincerely trying to live in peace and honor him knowing his downfalls. I hope this sub would have a resource or recommendation for my situation.

Ooof you're right. Another paradigm thing that I dont run into. Christianity also speaks about not depriving the other sexually so I guess that's a mutual thing we had going into marriage as well. That must suck. Sometimes there's times where I'm not in the mood to have sex, new mom i have every reason not to, but it just takes a little effort to get in that sexy mindset and switch gears. I think the rare exception is asexual, etc and yes it's important to discuss before marriage. I don't like t…

I don't find issues like this in my paradigm. I believe it's because I started dating when I was apart of church culture. Most of my friends in church are married, had no problem finding a partner, dating, and getting married. I think this has to do with the culture we are in and the support the church has to offer couples with dating and counseling the relationships. Also accountability. There is accountability to remain faithful to a partner, for men to uphold male roles of leadership, headshi…

Sad thing is there's alot of women who are down for a settle down lifestyle from the beginning, at church. My cousin is one great example of that. 25 year old virgin who has not even entered one serious relationship in her life because men out here fooling around too. She has alot of friends in the church like that too. But they get called, "prude" all the time. But prude is not a bad thing. Marriage is where sexuality should be cultivated, period.

OK, For one). Society is NOT teaching women basic skills to survive. If she could not call her doctors she would potentially not survive by mixing medications. Two). Anxiety is not something that "happens" to you. It is a learned behavior through negative learned neural connections.
