Like u/lefroyo said, be inviting. At my work, everyone there talks to me and will converse with me if we have the time. Even different departments I can usual get a conversation going with anyone. Just a simple "hey how's it goin' " or a simple, warm smile and nod of the head and make eye contact. A smile and a quick glance comes across as more 'I aknowledged you" instead of "I'm genuinely interested in talking with you"

Only been doing this as long as my account is old, but I've noticed myself that I'm already less awkward when talking to girls, and stand/walk with more confidence. Back straight, standing tall. When standing still, usually have one hand hanging in my pocket. I don't have many friends, so no one really mentioned anything to me yet.

As a friend the tips here are good. From personal experience don't get involved with them further than friends. Every event can be cancelled last second due to too many people or you asked her to early, don't be an idiot like me and get jerked around like this .

I think I saw on here 3rd time flake and just let her respond. Happened to me the night before. I just told her to let me know when she's available and I can make it happen. If she doesn't want to she won't. If she does she will.

This. Coming out of my first and only relationship this is exactly what I did. Gathered to confidence to ask some girls out without stuttering or mumbling. Talk to them without getting shy or embarrassed. It takes a while to get used to. I had to amp myself up for the first one like when I'm in the gym. But the second girl you ask out is easier than the first. All my fears of "is she going to laugh at me, make fun of me?" disappeared. I asked another girl the next day. Then another. Just get out…

I've asked some of my co-workers. Nothing bad happens after dude. You have a shift with them the next day maybe, chances are they've already forgotten about it.

I haven't tried it in class yet since I was in a relationship when the semester started, but my campus has tables in the hallways meant for group studying, but sometimes there is people there on their own as well. I think showing up about 10-5 min before class starts would be the best. Any earlier and no one else is there, any later and all the seats are taken already.

Studying at campus is very good for meeting girls. If it's busy you have to share a table. (I've found asking "Is this seat taken?" works the best, as things like "Can I sit here/Mind if I sit here" can get a response like "My friend will be here in a bit"). If you're at the table first, try to look inviting too. Don't have your books and binders taking up two spots, leave an open space at the table.

Ooops, I edited that comment. I meant I'm really good with talking to girls, but not very good at closing with anything other than "See ya later, have a good day". I do have a date tomorrow, but found out she's 10 years older than me while texting with her (Asians??? haha).

She actually took my number a few months before and was going to see if she could get me hired there since the workers there know & like me. I won't be there until Tuesday night, after I'm off work. I'll for sure do that and let you know how it went if you're interested. You're right about the not asking many girls. I just got out of a relationship that went from high school until the start of my 2nd year of schooling (and I never really talked to girls before I got into it), and so far only ask…

I read on here that it is hard to determine if they are genuinely interested or faking it as part of customer service. Unfortunately I already asked a barista out to a concert after reading that (Which she couldn't attend because she worked that day). That was a month ago, I still see her every week when I go in but I figured that I can't tell if she really is interested or not, so might as well leave it and try for someone else, right?
