Look dude, whoever and wherever you are, I'm afraid to tell you that I don't have time to read everything in this thread, neither I have a moral duty to stay in the mindset you presented is the "etiquette every human being should have followed". You're trying to hard to make this me vs you issue, and I don't have the patience to talk to people like you. Have a great Monday

You are an offensive bunch, aren't you? No goalpost moving? You know I'm a different user right? Why is it intellectually dishonest to bring my own input? I'm a feminist and a social democrat. But anyone can claim to be a feminist. Just like anyone can claim to be in MRA. I'm not a naive idiot anymore, both feminism and MRA are filled with misogynist and misandrist idiots. It's intellectually dishonest to paint these sexist people as if they're a tiny little minority. They are more than a plural…

Right, but you are not interested in my experience as much as yours. You just keep trying to speak over 3b men, while I'm telling you, I as a man, a little gay man too, it's not the case. Ok fair enough, women are photo asexual I get it (I don't believe it, but let's get over with it). The sports bro headshot applies to men too. But the equivalent of basketballbro is not the volleyballsis. But anyway, how many women play sports anyway? If I see a woman in a yoga picture, I'm more aroused. I mean yoga woman is a whole trope in itself🗿 Do you even have male friends?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/23 07:21 PM

Arousal for men is also more than looks. Look, I'm half-gay, so I understand fashion. Have you ever not dressed in a sexy outfit? Are even you arguing in good faith? The hijabi picture has a beautiful woman. It doesn't get my dick hard. Simple as. Are you a contrarian for profession? Do you really believe what you're saying?

I mean what you said applies to men as well? Why do you think bad photo lighting is a gendered issue? Yes, if your husband in this study and he uses a shitty photo and the study finds him unattractive, that's tough luck. But you know that these studies are done with thousands of people right? That's just noise. Also not all women are aroused by basketball. I myself wouldn't care about a volleyball player. It's silly data, good for random convo, bad for actual serious discussion. Agree, that was my whole point. It's an argumentative device. Do I really need to explain how silly that is? That's the whole point man. It's to show this data is useless. Ehh, I would say no. I assume by attractiveness you mean facial physical attractiveness. In that case obviously no. Some men like big boobs, some like small. Women's body is important to male sexual arousal. Sexually revealing clothes would also elevate the sexual arousal.

I am a little skeptical about women who are not aroused by photos, that's something I only hear in Reddit to be honest, but maybe yeah you're right. I'm not really following the thought process of the biases either. Of course everybody is biased. The opposite of bias is randomness. Yes but the entire group rating like this will. Not necessarily, I just proved that it doesn't necessarily follow that. It's useless. fails to account that a single good looking men can keep dozen women in rotation and that the women have access to more men thanks to social media and OLD. Exactly. The OKCupid graph does not necessarily tell that 80% of men are ugly. In a room of 20 men and 20 women, if each man and woman enter into an exclusive monogamous relationship, OKCupid study would find women find 19/20 of men unattractive.

You're saying as if all else is equal when it comes to Asian guys. Most asian guys are neotenous, can't grow beard, short, small eye sockets, have negative stereotypes attached... The guy you linked has hooded eyes. Are you a woman? Are you a man? Big eyes are attractive in women.

But that's just status man. Michael Jordan is not handsome no matter how you slice it. The guy is attractive, sure. Handsome, no. Also black men handsome lol. /r/PurplePillDebate26/07/23 03:25 AM
2

Yes but this affect is not captured by the okcupid study. Okcupid graph is mostly meaningless. It just means your average women lusts after 2/10 of the men she sees on the street. It doesn't mean much on the attractiveness of men. It heavily depends on the clustering as you said, but we cannot go and say these two are correlated therefore 80% men are ugly. That's not how you do the math And still then because of the issue #1, you might be a handsome fella objectively but still not enough for the…

Yeah, this is the real polarizing look. I'm not sure if it happens in real life though. Fun thought experiment, if everybody found people attractive in a true randomness fashion at rate 10%, you would get that result for every living human being. Meaning 9/10 of people would find you ugly and the rest very beautiful, but it's replicated for each person This is one of the reasons why beauty is not subjective. It's on somewhere between

/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/23 03:04 AM

I don't know if there are any studies on that, but I provided you the thought experiment there. In that thought experiment, every guy and girl gets laid, even though metric #2 is 1/20 and metric #4 is 1. You don't have any chads and stacies in that scenario. So these are not good metrics to begin with. They don't capture who is handsome and who is beautiful exactly. I'm expecting facial attractiveness to follow normal distribution.

Your graph is related but a different metric. There are two issues: 1. Physical attractiveness does not have to have a linear relationship with the number of women you can pull. Hypothetical scenario: you get better treatment at work because you're 6/10, but women still don't drop their pants at you, you're slightly better than average man looks wise 2. One woman rating 80% of men unattractive does not mean 80% of men are screwed. Imagine you're a student and in a class, there are 20 men and 20 …

Almost all heritable traits follow normal distribution (also known as bell curve). This is not a surprise, as predicted by a fundamental theorem in statistics called central limit theorem. It's one of the key concepts in mathematics. It applies to boob size, dick size, height, weight, atheltic ability, intelligence etc If physical attractiveness follows normal distribution, we expect to see 8/10+ to be 2 std dev above the mean, which means roughly top 5% of the population for both men and women.…

I'm bi. I dated men and women. But I'm not a misandrist or misogynist. It's not that hard. I'm not going into the not all x/y/z thing. You didn't answer my question. If you're okay with your boyfriend saying something like that, I'm not compatible with you. There is nothing to discuss further

I'm just saying cooking and cleaning is not a big deal here. Every adult student gets government subsidized rent and no one lives with their parents here. If you think these men are starving, that's on you I guess. About the food stuff, I was sarcastic, but let's not pretend we have a real cuisine up in the north. Europeans don't really have a food culture in the north. That was just friendly banter. If your men cannot cook and clean to save their life, that may be your preference, but I've neve…

I don't what happens in the US but the number of people who require a woman to cook and clean is zero here. Most guys have specialized diets to support their gym hobby as well. Edit: oh you're from the Uk, do you even have real food there?

Soceity also tells it's okay to gain some weight, it's okay to work 9-5 and debt yourself to college degrees and mortgage. Soceity tells you should not fail ever, only follow the safe path. They say you should contribute to pension system even if your generation is royally fucked. They say these to women too don't worry. The lesson here is to stop listening to mediocre people. Let the normies be normies

Look people, just go to Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium... Observe the couples there. Average European couple don't marry and split everything, including groceries. I know a Swedish couple, they were working in different locations, so they even searched for a location roughly in between the two companies. Now I don't argue you should be have an obsessive loyalty to equality like the Swedes I mentioned, this shit works in Europe, it's not some utopia you pretend to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 12:22 PM

This is a common mindset in Europe. There is a reason it's called going Dutch. Would you say people in those cultures shouldn't have married ever?

Agree. Don't forget that billions of people would love to do the same 9-5 office job too, even today. It's a big improvement to anyone who lived before 1970. This applies to women too by the way, lesbians, gays... Nobody is special. You live, you die. I hate this narcissistic attitude our generation has.

It's due to the rising standards of the society. Not many years ago, an average man with a high school diploma could finance his wife and multiple kids, buy a house when he is 30, didn't pay college debt. He didn't have a fashion sense, never went to gym. He wasn't cool, but he was cool enough. Now the bare minimum is to have a Bachelor's degree, a set of captivating hobbies, a gym body, be tall, be a good lover in bed and a good listener...

There are hormones that incentivize you to become monogamous. Some people have it higher or less. But even before that, the scientists have a method of uniquely identifying people from the way they walk. It's not something you can change, it's mostly genetic. Personality is also affected majorly by genetics. So I would say a lot of things we take granted are heritable actually, so why not monogamy? Some apes are monogamous, some are polyamourous. Are they socially constructed? I doubt so.

I see. You are quite unlikely to find a young religious Orthodox man in Europe. At the same time I guess it's hard to find an Orthodox church in the US as well. Europe is generally quite irreligious aside from Poland, Italy and Greece I think. Maybe you can try Greece or Cyprus.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 10:08 PM

Plus Europe is... quite irreligious across the board.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:24 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:20 PM

That was not my point at all, I'm not even Christian
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:17 PM

Thanks. I think it's more accurate to say Catholic church went through changes and Orthodox remained loyal to the original teachings. From what I know they were unified before the great schism, but it depends on what one means by the older one. Anyway if I understand right, for you, being closer to the original church is an important criteria. You mentioned a conversion though, what's your current denomination?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/23 09:16 PM

Ehhh, I wouldn't really recommend Eastern European guys for religious reasons either but to say a typical EE guy is roided out is a stretch. Actually most of the guys I met are quite nerdy. But Eastern Europe is a very big region so... The main problem with EE guys is they are from pos-soviet countries, unless you're in Poland (more Central European actually) something most people won't be religious

That's a self limiting belief. Again very common in this sub. First of all if you're that jaded you need therapy man. Secondly, I'm not sure if you went to therapist with high school diploma or smth but the goal of the therapy is not to accept your current life situation. You're not a slave being told to accept your fate

You're overthinking this and to be honest if you have the brains to study CS you can study human behavior way too easily. Your self limiting belief is holding you back. If you can pass leetcode you can study humans. For you an intuitive way would be to learn more about Game Theory. From there you can generalize a lot of life lessons to your career, love life and politics. Plus it's all algorithms

What do you think people get in therapy? Certainly your therapist does not transcend you into becoming a social skill god. They will tell you how social rules work, that's it. If you have better idea than thepraists, I'm all ears Also by the way, the way you used a black & white example for your analogy is a textbook symptom of autism. Most people would come up with a more relatable example instead of using logical extremes like in a philosophical forum. You may get some help from reading about …

Wait wait wait schizophrenia and autism are quite different. Hold on there. Schizophrenia starts with what's called negative features, basically make you apathetic and emotionless, making socialization very unappealing, what's more brain's reward system shuts down, killing all the motivation. This won't make you successful with women at all.

Sooner or later they learn that they are not much different than women in the looks aspect. That's a different topic, now you're talking about subjective perceived attractiveness of a man. Let's define attractiveness as number of women a man attracts by beauty only. That will be a bell curve, similar to height, intelligence, etc That way you take out an individual woman out of the equation. Otherwise it's hard to talk about who is attractive or not. That's not a comment on your attractiveness in your area. It's a comment on how privileged you are. It's a wake up call to not be a cry baby and assume everywhere outside the US is slums

Not really, your average K-Pop star is quiet different than Taylor Swift

My point is if you're struggling, passport bro is an option. Also what are you guys are on about? Do you really think anywhere outside the West is Bangladesh? Come on now

To be a virgin is no different, ultimately, from never having eaten Chinese food or having been to Disneyland. In fact, you could reasonably equate the two; more often than not, you wait for too damn long for a thrill that’s over in under 3 minutes and half the time you’re wondering what the big deal was. Sounds more like the guy is asexual or never had good sex life

See the problem with being ND is like being LGBT. It's a group of exclusion, if you're not NT, your ND. It does not mean every ND is the same. Anyway I think that explains why your friends are that sweet.

I totally understand. Strangely I have the same family dynamic and I'm naturally sensitive also. Long series of traumas later I'm in a completely different plane, can't even cry now

This is true the only problems is when it comes to dating it's a lot more localized and the hierarchies are not always clear cut like in most human organizations. Your local Stacy could be ugly in another country.

Lacking basic manners that your parents or middle school should have taught you about is part of your personality because even if you didn't have access to good example figures you should have the personality to be curious and learn how to behave either through life experience or internet.

Yeah no wonder you people have difficult time dating if you think this is your Prince Charming. Western education sucks I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 08:53 PM

What's your point? There are legit ugly people, are we going to ignore their misfortune? Have you ever been in a single situation you didn't want to be part of? Not everything is in our control
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 08:46 PM

Yeah unless you're top 10% in your career, I struggle to see the point in wallowing yourself for why not being born a supermodel. Most of you guys grew up in the West, that's top 10% already

You don't heroic doses. Just normal and even micro doses can do the trick. Besides, you don't even need drugs to do that, but they certainly help. These are your mental barriers, self limiting beliefs we keep hearing from stupid people

Any move besides trying to be a more confident, less neurotic version of yourself is a dead end. Not true

Are they nerdy or on the spectrum of neurodiversity?

You are asking for rationality in dating. Most people are not rational when it comes to polarizing and controversial topics. Think religion, politics, football and so on. Dating is highly emotional and driven by unconscious. But yeah you got good observation skills

Are you a normie by any chance?

You mean more like America and... Canada, France, UK, Ireland, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway... Masculinity "crisis" is everywhere

I think it's more about being a little mean demonstrates men's lack of anxiety and inhibitions. A man who is Mr. Perfect to his girlfriend will be the same to everybody else in his life, which is very unmasculine. And certainly something I don't recommend. It also doesn't mean you should be cavemen like a lot of guys in the US, it's a lot more subtle than that

I don't know if you're really nice but one thing I noticed is that there are only a few genuinely nice people in the West. It's not that uncommon in different parts of the world. People then take the cynical view that nice people have ulterior motives, because they have never been really nice, and as a consequence never had nice friends or spouses. Real nice people don't virtue signal endlessly on social media, they go to charities, volunteer, become activists or martyrs, work on a generous prof…

Average NT guy will struggle with how girls operate and have to learn how to behave through life experience when it comes to dating. Average NT gal may experience dating difficulties but not this exact issue. Most guys are usually easy to read, can't lie if their life depended on it, don't like to play mind games etc. Given that neurodivergencies impact people's social abilities in a negative way, it follows that guys with ND brain will have significant disadvantages compared to their NT counter…

Agree but, I was the first one to remind that we're arguing about semantics, but I continued the thread because we had follow-up questions. Just an FYI if you don't want to get into circular arguments. If you want to understand better, maybe you can take a look at the class divisions in the UK. And it's totally fine to have a different opinion on money, I'm just saying that there a lot of cultural differences that you do not take into account. Having a yacht sounds a lot more upper class than ow…

Chadfishing is for chronically online. Anyone who has a healthy social life would have at one point an attractive friend to have a glimpse on their dating life. No need for insane Nazi pedophile asking for nudes types of content. Just be friendly theory

Doesn't even have to be night clubs. A hot friend of mine had a girl approach him in daylight and go have some fun in the park in the same hour. Good thing I'm not straight but damn, so yeah immediately sucked off is not out of options. Ironically, it's a lot more probable than the few popular anecdotes I saw in this sub.

This makes sense if you take the personality argument literally. Being friendly does not translate to being sexy automatically. Being sexy can also work against your friendliness. I know some people who struggle to make friends but they do well with dating

I had a few friends who had turn down trans people in the very last moment... In fact, there is a reason why some trans people "pass" and some don't. It's about how they look, not how they posses their genitals

I'm non-binary and understand what you're saying, don't bother if they don't get you, some people may never will. You're totally right, especially when you consider LGBT...

That's more about being well off and higher class. If you have a private chef you're wealthy. That's two different things but related. Plus I can get a private chef for much less in different parts of the world

It's still insane because you can basically retire at your 40s with that kind of sustained income. Unless you're parents are at that kind of level... Well then why would you visit Reddit if you had that kind of money...

And... instead of reporting this horrific incident, somehow you mention it out of nowhere, on Reddit of all places. And I really doubt people who date billionaires spend their time on PPD. Yeah, cool story

Well this is a related but different question from you asked. Perfect is the enemy of the good. You can become shameless too if that's your goal. I don't promise it will be easy but if you really want it you can. No one is born uninhibited. And yes don't let the idealism fool you, in all kinds of cases, I'm a firm believer of pragmatism. I'm talking from my life experience, but you can start applying meditation and activities that will challenge your anxieties for starters. That could be dancing…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 05:07 PM

It's easier to be extroverted when you have some social success, because then it's more enjoyable. You can indeed study what makes a good social interaction and get better at it, and once get better at it you get a sense of accomplishment which breeds further success. So it's a little bit of both, it just requires a little bit of self-awareness and motivation to improve.
