Why would GLO keep secret if he was protecting TRP with his penis? That's the sort of thing one shouts from the rooftops.

Life is hard. Hard men are needed for hard tasks. Weak men need not apply. Never be bummed out by having insight. Find a way to turn it to your advantage.

You are correct OP. Alpha and Beta aren't fixed or permanent. Many Alphas start out as Betas or return to Beta behavior at some point. This goes for men. I feel women generally are better at holding frame.

For a mutual hobby, does he shoot? You could always get him to show you how to use, handle and clean a weapon. You said he was military, so I assume this is something he knows something about. There are no mutual hobbies. Unless you guys are creepy clones. It will be one of your hobbies or one of his. I suggest you make it one of his. Let him lead you into territory where he has experience and competence.

I was more surprised that you didn't realize that women working in factories was very common in that era. I believed it was common, you assumed that I did not. Where it is self-described as fiction? It's certainly better than hearsay. Keep in mind that we can't pull up videos from this era, or interview people. All we have are records like the one Gelbi uses. Records are sparse, but he certainly doesn't claim anything that isn't supported. He is creating a narrative about events he did not witne…

Frame it negatively if you want to. It's not negative framing. It is reality. Women aren't risk takers and never have been. The disposable men are the ones who gamble big. So you have zero personal experience. If you want to debate with what your SO has told you, that is called hearsay. It is not sufficient as evidence.

I was kidding there, I thought that you just accidently mis worded your sentence. Do you honestly think that boys have to be erratic and playful in order to be considered male? What if a boy isn't that playful or erratic? If he a girl in your eyes? You didn't answer my question. "Have you ever been a boy?" I think I know more about what it is to be a boy, to be a male than you do. That's why I don't think ADHD is the norm for them. Then surely you are concerned that so many boys have been medica…

Is it because I'm a woman or a chemist? Both. You don't strike me as someone who considers the philosophical implications of intervention or diverging from nature. It's diagnosed three times more often in boys, not sure if there are different rates of treatment between the two. So boys and girls are not the same? What will the Matriarchy say about this? Is ADHD just a social construct?

Neither of us have worked in a factory prior to the reforms seen in the early 1900's. Were you only talking about the 1900's? I thought you were talking about women's effect on modern day factories. My bad. It's really asinine to think that working in modern factories is a fair comparison to working in factories during the turn of the century. It is even more asinine for you to play on the deaths of people you have never met, and claim their suffering as your accomplishment. So basically, you ha…

I'm pretty sure the definition of "boy" isn't "playful, erratic and pushing on boundaries of social expectations". Have you ever been a boy? I'm still not buying it. Of course not. It would require you to admit that you hold damaging opinions. I don't expect that sort of candor from most people, least of all women on the internet. If being a boy means that he is too spacey and erratic to complete any goal set or pay attention long enough to learn anything of value, You do know that men created o…

I'm just a pro-pharma person. That doesn't surprise me. I don't know why you came to the insane idea of that women don't feel empathy (we do, studies imply more so than men). You think you feel empathy but studies show females are slower to recognize another person's circumstances. But women do get ADHD too. Do you have any numbers on how many girls are being treated for ADHD vs boys?

Your formatting is whack. My point is the western world does not reinforce the idea that women are better than men. Are women better than men? There are millions of people who can't wrap their mind around a woman even being capable of being President Millions of people thought the earth was flat or at the center of the universe. People think all sorts of things. and you think we are told to believe women are better than men? I never claimed that. Did I?

you're making a false dichotomy in that if I care about this small symptom of Patriarchy I therefore don't care about other problems. But both men and women worked in factories during the industrial era. Have you ever worked in a factory? I have. Women suffered a lot from poor safety regulation as well as men. Source? The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire was one of the deadliest industrial accidents in US history and killed 123 women and 23 men. And yet more men die working than women all the time.

Except boys learn differently than girls. Boys are by definition playful, erratic and pushing on boundaries of social expectations. Girls on the other hand tend to seek to get along, to please, to follow the rules. The truly sad thing about your original comment was that you cannot understand that boys and girls are different. By forcing boys to behave like girls and stripping them of what makes them boys, you're badly damaging them. You're destroying them. And again, because you consistently de…

Occupational health and safety and factory reforms. Men have been doing this for ages. Men invented most of the safety equipment and standards in use today. As someone who has actually worked in a factory and seen serious injuries firsthand (filled out the paperwork for them too), men have always has a huge stake in reducing downtime and costs associated with harm, not to mention liability. I think the salad thing is a really nuanced small aspect of the way we see gender. It seems trivial to me. There is no shortage of meanness and cruelty in the world. There isn't a useful way of saying which of those makes one gender better or worse. I don't recall either of us making a claim about better or worse. What I do know is that man or woman, we are people first and deserve to be treated that way How is offering your gf the salad undermining anyone's humanity? Not everyone has that luxury. I have been handed very little in my life. I am debt free because I made a lot of hard choices. When everyone else was out partying, I was working. Why worry? He is not your son. Is he? Seriously, as you get older you will see people in your life do all sorts of retarded stuff. You can't save them. If you try, more often than not you will ruin the relationship. It's your dad. Give him the dignity of being able to make his own mistakes. It's all good until it isn't. Everything seems copacetic on the surface. The investment in "her guy" has been made but that doesn't guarantee anything. People change, preferences change, the world changes. Right now she doesn't see a problem but that doesn't mean there isn't one coming.

Very sloppy argumentation dear. You didn't show me examples of women fighting to get into trades, you linked to a bunch of resources (ostensibly paid for by men) to guide women into trades. I never complained about the resources. Simply pointing them out for what they are. RIP logic I agree, your first response to me didn't meet the criteria you thought it would. Maybe there are no tales of women who literally fought the man "and won" to drive a backhoe. The feminist narrative is nonsense and to…

Great they have no shortage of resources to do so. As should be expected, I have no doubt that there is no shortage of funding for women's action initiatives. Money that most likely is produced predominantly by men. Surely the Patriarchy is working to destroy all of these organizations and websites? If the Patriarchy is all powerful then these token organizations are just window dressing.

Most men are dogbodies working for capitalist fatcats. It's the fatcat men who have always controlled everything. Some people say feminism is cultural marxism. They are wrong. It is just plain old marxism, reinvented for a new audience. And yet we're supposed to celebrate the women who become capitalist fat-cats like it is a good thing because a woman has done it. That sentence says it all. Women needed to "win permission". How pathetic. I don't think the monkeys in Planet of The Apes see it that way. You have no idea what it is to be a man. There is no affirmative action bias for men. Men have to take or create what they want in this world. We don't have the luxury that women have where someone else will do the hard tasks or invent paths to convenience for us. Your comment was mindless. Y'all are welcome to every job you apply for. No. It is not silly. You misunderstood the point I was making. Feelings like dreams or reputation are not "real" things. They are psychological constructs. Feminism like many -isms is based on contradiction. Men have oppressed women and yet somehow feminism has gained significant traction in the last sixty years. Feminism is winning equality for men but that begs the question from whom? Everyone is equal but you never see feminists agitating for low profile, dirty or dangerous jobs. Feminism is all about empowerment and agency for women while portraying them as helpless victims. I don't hate feminism. It's human so it is crazy as fuck.

Like AWALT it is a wonderful heuristic to judge people on what they do rather than what they say. Men hamster and rationalize as women do, however it has been my consistent experience with women that they interpret reality very differently from how I or many other men do. But you didn't admit you didn't have a source. You claimed you did have a source, and only when pressed on it, did you admit you didn't. So I don't think you're better than TRP. Maybe you're twice as bad.

Not if I have to deal with the inevitable health related absenteeism and threat of maternity leave. You can be an All-Star employee as a woman but the demands of the female sex will still create a serious disadvantage when compared to a male employee.

No I just don't like you and I don't trust you You don't have to like me to be an honest human being. so I don't really want to share any information about my life with you. You get to criticize and characterize other people you don't know, but when it is your turn to put some investment into the discussion, you make excuses and back out. That doesn't lend any authority to your point of view. If you're incel, then I think it is ridiculous for you to make claims about TRP or threaten to make a co…

So as expected, no source. You're appealing to your own wisdom. And how are you demonstrably different from TRP? Women are not like me. I have a penis and a different hormonal profile.

I don't view sex as winning someone. Try having an overwhelming biological urge to have sex and not be able to do so. Seriously, try it. Try ignoring your biological clock and not have children before 40.

I like this style of argumentation. Shows real growth from you. Assert something then declare the other person's argument invalid. We have wasted thousands of years on reasoning, rhetoric, proof, and discovery when all along we could have just said stuff and invalidated opinions we don't like. Brilliant.

Is ti down to context? If you're 6 feet tall and have dreamy eyes, a strong jawline and smooth skin, you can say "hi". If you are 5'6", 270 lbs and have patchy facial hair, it is tantamount to rape to say "hi" to a woman in public. So yes, it is all about context.

Then we should pass her along to RPW. It only serves to undermine this guy whatever he is or is not by talking to his old lady about where his head is at (which we don't know anything about except that she thinks he is RP). YMMV. I wasted my 20s oblivious to sexual dynamics. If I had a do-over, I definitely wouldn't be looking at LTRs. For experience, ok. I don't see a lot of value in narrowing one's experiences so early in the game. Women will always be there.

Continue to not take her pouty tantrums seriously, right? The thing about women is, you should never take them seriously. Ever. Once you do, you have lost frame. This is the Cypher question. If it tastes like steak to your brain does it matter that it isn't really steak? I can see (and have been subject to) the drive to be authentic but that can easily become about ego. Speaking only for myself, I don't care if people like me or find me desirable. If it serves my ends, then I care a little. If it doesn't clearly and obviously correlate with my goals, then it is a lark. Expensive entertainment.

So pointing to fewer marriages as evidence of fewer happy relationships doesn't work. I was pointing to fewer marriages being the reason the divorce rate was falling. Pre-selection or filtering if you will. All the marriage rate tells you is how many people got married. If you want to assume that marriage exists in a relationship vacuum, sure. The lower number of marriages is not an indication that there are fewer happy, fulfilling relationships. So you're saying there is no correlation between happiness and marriage? There was no ad hominem. You should learn what they are before you use the term. I have no problem being disagreed with if the response is intelligent, insightful and readable. That's an interesting response and one I am sympathetic to. However, a lot of the arguments in PPD are black and white. TRP is misogynist. TRPers are manipulative. TRPers want 1950s housewives. You're right that both sexes struggle with self-control in the face of certain stimuli. However I suspect many of the strong independent women and their orbiters on PPD won't feel comfortable acknowledging these low level biological instincts.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/15 04:11 PM

Conversely if marriage was so awesome the marriage rate would be increasing. In fact, that is exactly my point. People don't have social pressure to get married and they still aren't choosing it. Happiness is a moving target. It is different for every individual.

I would say it is manipulative. Wearing makeup is manipulative. Pouting is manipulative. Touching your hair is manipulative. Not wearing panties is manipulative. Good luck interacting with another human being without using any body language or appearance factors whatsoever. :)

But you do realise that that is exactly how TRP sounds to everyone else, right? Even the libertarians accept the validity of contractual obligation. Not exactly. They don't accept social contracts (Constitution, Select Service, Taxation for Representation). They accept some contracts as valid, but certainly not all contracts and definitely not all social contracts. A marriage is a contract. Is it really? What are the elements of a contract? It's not good for anyone in the long term to bank the cheques but ignore the bills. I know you're married and happily so. I am happy fo…

You can't. Then why does it matter? Just that there could be two sides to it, depending on why it's used. My issue is with "why". I care about WHAT, why isn't important. It could be because they are crazy. It could be because they love me. It could be because they think they are a purple elephant. What they are doing is the thing that effects me. :)

Now you know how I feel when I am accused of being a member of a Patriarchy. :) I like to think that if these things are so prevalent something would have happened to me or my friends to at least hint at them Please don't take this as an insult, because it is not intended as one. Do you think that holds true for women who don't want children I think a lot of women say they don't want children, but once that clock starts ticking, they rush to get pregnant. are financially set How many women are financially set? I mean, anyone with a job in Academia or Government, sure. But not people with normal jobs. don't yearn for emotional connection? I don't yearn for emotional connection, so I can sympathize. Maybe they don't need or want it. Wait until you are surrounded by childless, single women in their late 30s. It will be completely bananas. They will be so desperate to find a man, any man to impregnate and take care of them. I say this from a lot of first hand observation and conversation with women in this predicament.

I know lots of not rich, not good looking guys, myself included, who've never struggled to attract desirable women. What you call desirable might be bag worthy for some of us. There are plenty of anecdotes that conflict with what TRP concludes. And likewise there are plenty of anecdotes which conflict with Blue Pill advice. For every campus rape story, there is a campus consensual sex story. These anecdotes are downvoted or deleted. I am a huge fan of censorship. Finally, the median age of the average redditor is 22. Women in general are "Wonderful". All respect that accrues to men is from their accomplishments. Men are not "Wonderful" just for being alive. I do see that sentiment expressed often by trp, HSW. Are we both reading the same TRP? Most RPers from my observation are more like fuck or avoid. We say all the time Next. Move on. There are a lot more women out there. Investing in a woman is what controlling is. The core from TRP is about investing in yourself. Learn to control your mind, your emotions, your desires. Women just aren't that important. That too is a core TRP idea. Sex is important but women as a sex are not.

I appreciate the thoughtful reply, but surely you see the performative contradiction in your response. You say that your brain is not wired to see truth, and yet you present that fact as a truth. I am not claiming to have more or better insight into this. I got the first part, you agree with me, we internalize our own experiences. I didn't get the second part. I feel that all of reality is experienced psychologically. I don't know that it is possible to experience X and at the same time accept the general truth is Y. Maybe. I seriously don't know. Treads close to my understanding of cognitive dissonance. People are born women, therefore it is utterly asinine to assume everyone born a woman is the same. Does not follow. People choose to accept terper principles. People choose all sorts of beliefs. Not to be rude but that doesn't help me. You're trying very hard to rationalize what you want. I don't believe that men and women can be just friends. If you can make it work, more power to you. If she keeps dumping on you, and you take it, you're a bitch.

I don't think you understood my comment. If women are not serving the role of creating life, then all of their other aspects become much more important. One can be an ugly, dumb, boring bitch if they can whelp children. But if they can't/won't whelp children, and they're an ugly boring, dumb bitch, I can't imagine the lineup being long to spend time with them. Women are loved for being. Men are loved for what they do and who they are. It would be interesting to see the shoe on the other foot.

it's naive to define oneself primarily on one's status. Who said it was primary? Status, after all, relies on wealth and how others perceive you. The latter is a function of the former. You have not provided anything tangible or specific to show that feminism is working for the benefit of men (in cases of DV) as you claimed. Instead we get this dross about paternity leave. Men don't want to be women. Men are the ones who earn a dollar for every 77 cents a woman makes, remember?

Is the face a sociopath presents to the world their actual personality or not? How could you ever know? I have known a sociopath very well. Masks come and go very quickly, seamlessly. It doesn't appear to be a conscious decision on their part, it's like breathing or itching your nose. They are much more socially aware than normal folk. And that is how they are able to adapt so quickly and convincingly.

That people in relationships aren't in a power struggle. Power abhors a vacuum. If one person doesn't want to do something, they don't and the other person may or may not go ahead and do that thing anyway. How long will a couple stay together if everyone is off doing their own thing? Why are they together in the first place? Seems to me they could have done what they are doing without formalizing into a couple. Jesus that's pretty solopsitic. "If my view isn't right, then nothing means anything"…

It has nothing to do with TRP theory. Sun Tzu understood it. The Bible understood it. This is observed reality. It is certainly not controversial to state that in any power dynamic, one party is the ultimate decision maker. Now you may not like that but it is like me not being overly fond of gravity. Reality gives no fucks what our opinion or preference is.

i.e. what are the odds that if you sampled a million people on a topic they have a reasonable knowledge about they would all be wrong? Odds aren't part of making statements of absolute truth about objective reality. Your problem is that your premise is flawed. There are no odds that the earth orbits the sun. It either does or it does not. The sample size of respondent opinions, won't change that fact. For the sake of this argument, I will accept that it is objective fact that the earth orbits th…

I have no control over what the government does with my tax money. So you don't live in a democracy? if I don't pay my taxes, I will go to jail Yes. How much do you really approve of what your government does? Gandhi and Nelson Mandela weren't afraid of jail. the pittance I make is a drop in the bucket compared to the federal government's budget. Oh, so your culpability is limited by the amount of taxes you pay. If that was true, then men would probably exclusively own the right to vote.

tit-for-tat or reciprocal altruism guarantees the best outcome for all players involved Do you care about everyone in this world equally? People you haven't met? People you will probably never meet? Why does self-interest have to include a certain lack of morals? It doesn't. Self-interest just means you can pick the morals you want, when you want. You are not married to society, norms, expectations, standards etc. Ignoring too many morals can lead to internal inconsistency and lack of conviction, which will weaken and diminish you over time. I think morality is bunk and I agree with this. That is why a good Machiavellian rarely puts his morals (for or against) on display.

Alpha and Beta are more behavioral not purely genetic. If moving from beta to alpha is as simple as reading a script Or working out. Or losing weight. Or working overtime. Or dressing better. Certainly genetics play a role, a handsome man will have an advantage over an ugly man, but that will not just manifest itself in physical appearance, they will carry themselves differently.

just because they believe you have the maturity of a child based on your gender. I think your arguments are bad. It has nothing to do with the fact you are a woman. That is just a coincidence.

I don't really respect evo psych because well, the studies are just vague and not there ... ok I'm not a big fan of evolutionary psychology, it has little testable repeatable hypotheses and talks about what scientists think our ancestors might have thought and felt like long ago. Nonetheless you posted it. (I think you meant "few" instead of "little") Based on this, promiscuous men ( men with high partner counts) are also terrible partners. Who cares? Who wants to be a partner in a society where…

You obviously haven't met all those hideous looking men who demand hot women. I have. They are still not getting laid, that's what high standards and no negotiating position will get you. If that's all women are good for then all men are rapists and pedophiles. Is this some sad attempt at tit-for-tat? You forgot to write NYAH NYAH NYAH. What about women are good at being bitter and angry? At attacking instead of arguing (probably why their are few women in STEM). Everything is always the fault o…

Some women are just out for attention and kicks, and will leave a terrific man to grab some attention - and then are sorry as hell when they later realize just what they've done. But they still do it. And not with a really fat ugly slob loser either. Losers don't get laid by chicks testing their limits. You might be able to make a case, if Chad didn't get laid so easily or keep a willing soft harem of plates. But he does. You should be happy, I am making the case that women are not superficial. …

BP who aim high in everything are RP without the weird science and woman-hate. No. They literally are not. They are the guys whose old lady is making mature porn with some biker dudes in the neighborhood, while their husband is working himself into the grave so he can pay the mortgage and keep the 2 cars. They are the guys raising another man's child as their own, unknown to them. They are the guys who get raped in divorce and lose the right to see the children they have dedicated their lives to…

What if I am retarded? Why are you discriminating against the disabled? I don't think women are only good for making babies. I think women are exceptional at making babies. I think women are good at lots of things. Yoga instruction. Massages. Spending money. Entitlement. Women are awesome at that.

Keeping up with a fit body and frame is included in dread. It is constant. It's also part of being a man. So if being a man is your definition of dread, then I will yield that point to you. How do you know he's better? Because we believe women are discriminating. They don't branch swing to someone worse. Either his SMV smokes ours, or we let our SMV tank (get fat, mean, lazy, depressed). Couldn't it be that the woman just has the kind of personality that makes her more likely to cheat or leave f…

And so they must be constantly dreaded to prevent this happening. One does not dread constantly. That is a lot of work. If one is in a situation that calls for persistent dread, you next and move on with your life. RPers aren't here to fix anyone. Women are not projects for us. They are either with the program or they are not. It's a simple distinction to make. And we beat the shit out of ourselves when we are low value and lose our woman to a better man. It is a failure on our part.

NOOOO! We can't have un-equal outcomes. That would be sexist and racist and elitist! Remember in nature how every creature gets an equal outcome? That is the earth mother, the female spirit of the universe protecting all of her sacred children. hopefully I don't need to add an /s to this

The anger phase IS TRP ... until they grow out of it and become blue pill men. You don't understand the metaphor of unplugging from the matrix. Once you are unplugged, you can't just plug back in. Plus, guys who unplug end up having more success than they did before they took the pill. If they went back to BP ways, they would be sacrificing those gains. People generally don't do that. Just like they don't go in to work and ask for a lower wage to help out the company. That's what feminism is, as…

Do you really think a guy who thought the best I could do was raise babies would give me a fair shot? He would probably be terrified that you will get knocked up, and take paid maternity leave. You are the one who places raising babies at the highest level of what women can do, I don't. You should. The minute men can get test tube babies and virtual sex, women are in real trouble. You should embrace the unique role nature has designed for you before technology replaces you.

I'm sure it's traditional in most cultures for men to take an active role in training their children at this age. In most traditional cultures women are rarely far from the kitchen. I am willing to meet you in the middle on this. You go back to the kitchen and I will take the kids to the park.

That's an entirely facetious anecdote to make in this circumstance and you know it. I think it made my point about correlative error. Don't feel bad. We all make mistakes. Even me. :) Seems to me the outliers are much more common than you'd like to think though. Where did I profess a preference on outliers? Are you making this up?

I am a bit Indian and Indian guys love to bitch and moan. Maybe it is because most Indian men are momma's boys. No one gives a fuck about how hard your lot in life is. Some guys have harelips. Some guys have caved in chests. What makes them successful men is that they overcome their deficits. The only way to overcome is to be resolute. Bitching and moaning is the behaviour of a child. Be a man.

How do you deal with it? You decide to not be miserable. That's a large part of what life comes down to. How YOU decide to live. The alternative is someone else deciding how you live. And not just someONE but someones, everyone, including your enemies, the people who hate your race, who hate your sex, your competitors. So get on with living. It is different for everyone. But the fundamental truth is the key, you are alone and you make choices for yourself. Get on with it.

Law and politics are shaped by culture. Religion has been the guardian of culture forever. You'd be surprised how much of the law (and science) you think is good has been derived from religious practice and philosophy. Laws change depending upon who is in charge. The law once was that women could not vote. The law once was that black people in America were slaves. The law once was the lives and property of Jews was forfeit in Germany. Be careful with slavish devotion to "the law". It is a man ma…
