It still like lives in my head rent free that story. I just am in shock that someone would go that far.

I was accused of sexual assault by a guy. This was high school in Jamaica, so the homophobia there blinded everyone from seeing the truth that he lied because they were hyperfocused on me being gay which was a shitshow and I'm still traumatized by it (long story- I am in Canada now so I'm much safer on that end). He even reported me, but the principal investigated and found out the truth. What makes this worse was he was a guy I considered a friend. He and his friends then made a list of other b…

It's somthing thats said when it comes to male victims of assault from women. It's dumb but it's used to dilute the experiences of male victims and not see them as actually going through a traumatic experience..

This is why they don't take male victims seriously, and the father being involved is gross. They also dropped charges that if the roles were reversed, wouldn't drop for man and he'd be in prison for life. The social construct of gender plays a role here. A woman can never rape a man because she's "not strong" enough to hold him down and force him or coerce him. "Well he got hard so that's basically consent" "He could easily walk away, he's a man" Women are seen as basically innocent and soft so …

Some of these responses are wow. Be there for like any other friend. Listen to him as you would any female friend, and if he opens up, he opens up . You can let him know that you're there for him if he wants to talk. It's up to him, but as long he knows you're on his side. He'll open up if he wants to. That comment about dealing with emotions in a masculine and not talking a feminized man is insane. Like there is no gendered way to deal with emotions. Be there for your friend and check up on him…

Because he would get in trouble if he didn't charge them. Have you ever worked in retail? The blame always comes back unto the worker.

He literally said in the comments that he's gotten in trouble before. Seems like you aren't reading this post at all.

Right, the issue that his boss sweepes under the rug and then blames him for customers not paying fully for the salad bar. So, a double-edged sword, basically. And whoever was in charge is a pussy at best. A customer isn't always right, especially when they are abusing that mindset. The customers were both eating from the salad bar. They are required to pay for what they consumed.

Don't pay attention to them. You're going through a lot. Don't internalize what's being said on here.

I read the post. He did his job right. He didn't do anything wrong.

I'm sorry this happened to you. It's so unfair that you got the shitty end of the stick, and these women walk away scotch free. They used emotional manipulation to make you seem like this horrible guy. You were doing your job, and to me, your boss is a pushover too and doesn't like conflict. He basically betrayed you at this point since he gave you the advice that you should just leave if the girls are causing you problems. I do hope that you get back up on your feet and to explore resources tha…

I love watching how you both even avoided some of my points that make my argument valid because you both know you are hypocrites. See how you compare dating someone with BPD is far worse than being the victim of a crime? Yeah, you are proving my point that you are generalizing an entire group of people, and you see these people with such disdain that your reduce the experiences of victims of crimes simply because, again, i repeat, you dated ONE person with BPD and that's the entire picture. You …

However, the user that I have been commenting to claim that BPD people should never be dated and as I quote " fuck them " followed by stats to paint an entire demographic as avoid at all costs. I would not tell someone to completely disregard having a relationship or even friendship with someone that used to do drugs, and even if you relapse, your partner and friends should be there for you, not walking away. What kind of relationships do yall have? Again, I'm going to point out that there are m…

I've been active reading posts from other men and getting insight on issues that men face. I'm learning something different. I joined so I could be among other men. Heck, I was banned from the offyourchest subreddit because I'm in here. My feelings aren't hurt. I'm going to call out generalizations that are made by anyone. Honestly, I'm more disgusted that you can paint a group of people with the same brush and not see the hypocrisy in your own words.

This isn't risk management. You're generalizing. I have seen studies about violent crimes divided by race, gender, sexuality but I still don't make generalizations about groups of people because stats don't reflect individuals. You need to learn and understand that. Just like you want people not to make generalizations because most violent crimes are committed by men to call all men violent or fear all men. Stop being obtuse and diverting from my point.

Okay, so just like no one should care if they are good men in society then? Women can make all the generalizations about men they want despite how they can negatively impact men on a social level. Yeah, you're doing the same thing you accuse feminists are doing. The symptoms can show up again if the person stops using the skills they learn in therapy. Also, the more they practice their skills it reduces the symptoms to the point that there are cases they can be deemed as no longer having BPD. Th…

I've never skipped out on therapy. Most of us don't do that. Again, making generalizations about a group of people who isn't at fault for having BPD to begin with. People here can downvote me as much as they want. They are just offended that it's true.

This generalization is absolutely not okay. I'm sorry you went through what you went through with your ex, however, there are men out here with BPD (me included, mine is intrinsic so my symptoms are not obvious and I'm high functioning). Also, men are underrepresented in treatment for BPD because, again, we know why men don't seek treatment as often ( I was the only guy in my DBT group for 2 years). Let's not make it seem as if all of us are horrible people to date or even have a meaningful rela…
