Look, your splits are going to get you stronger and bigger, but at a much slower pace and with a greater risk for injury. 5x5 compound lifts, 3 exercises a workout, 3 or 4 times a week, increasing by 5 lbs every workout (until plateau), is perfectly optimal in terms of efficiency and safety. Why do we get big and strong when we subject ourselves to heavy loads? Bro science from the 80s that still sticks around says it's from tears and repairs of muscle tissue, or some other such nonsense. What h…

What's wrong with fat? Hint: nothing.

Touché. One of the most alpha of men in modern history.

Exactly. I don't know of a single alpha in politics.

Sam Altman actually implemented the "heavy handed censorship" at HN, though I agree overall with your assessment of the Valley. Sad that the future is already in the hands of a despotic, socially irreparable regime.

I'm glad somebody pointed this out. Barely intelligible.

Lack of discipline, possible emotional troubles, and/or a general inability to navigate life well. It says much about a person.

Sugar is also more addictive than cocaine, so addictive and insidious we don't even consider it a drug. Once you've taken sugar out of your life for a while (3-6 months), you can see it more objectively. Avoidance and binge behavior, hamstering, making deals with yourself, succumbing under stress, sugar highs, it all makes sense.

The core of the issue here is your last paragraph. She doesn't know what she wants. I see this a lot more in women than in men, but it's not a clearcut gender thing. A big part of life is figuring out what you want and why you want it. Self-discovery as it were.

Or substitute discipline for motivation. Discipline is habitual adherence to an activity regardless of motivation, mood, or environment. If there is one skill you should cultivate to become a better man in every way, it is discipline. When everything else is taken from you, discipline is what will carry you through.

Here's an approach with less desperation. Vulgar, careless shit talking. Obviously you need to be at least average in looks and somewhat quick on your feet. Some of these openers are absolutely cringeworthy or even insulting, and yet they work with 8-10s. "I can run faster horny than you can afraid." "When's the last time a man snorted coke off your ass?" [Picture of her with big black guy] "I'm not black, would you still fuck me?" One she started with "Are you a patient guy?" Response: "No, but…

I hate to admit it, but you're exactly right. The best liar is the guy everybody thinks is a terrible liar. I'm one of those liars.

Re mainstream: I don't think you have good reading comprehension. The China Study was also an immensely flawed epidemiological study that drew all the wrong conclusions. The Blue Zone is no different. Saying there are no medal-winning athletes who eat primarily meat and veggies diet is possibly the most intellectually ignorant thing I've ever heard.

Try harder. Mainstream nutrition and media would love to eat up your plant-based bullshit. Plant matter can be absolutely beneficial for your health, that much I never questioned. But high quality nose-to-tail animal foods are the cornerstone of optimal human performance and longevity. Nutrient density, macro profiles, and bioavailability in meat simply can't be beat.

And it doesn't bear out nutritionally, logically, physiologically, etc. If high cholesterol diets caused deleterious effects on health, the thinking apes Homo sapiens wouldn't exist. High fat diets are the reason we evolved to be intelligent primates.

Nothing could be further from the truth. While you're right we've been lied to about diet, but veganism is ideological dogma turned "healthy" diet. High-fat Paleo is the closest thing to an optimal human diet.

No, the correlation between high dietary cholesterol and high serum cholesterol is small.

No kidding. There was a study that tested the victory pose hypothesis. Half of the subjects performed the V for 2 minutes before a job interview, the other half did not. Almost invariably, the half that did were liked more, came off as more confident and outgoing, and were more likely overall to get an offer. I'll see if I can find the study.

Not saying that reading anything will raise testosterone, but you don't understand what you're saying. The mind-body connection is fiercely interdependent. And heavy lifting over time does in fact elevate testosterone and related hormones 'permanently' in an androgen cascade. Know what a victory pose is? It's the natural behavior of primates when feeling elation and joy after completing a difficult task. You see it frequently in sports and other physical activities. Chimps, bonobos, and humans a…

Can you go into more detail about the hormonal experiences of transmen you've met?

Please Google fu. High endogenous testosterone has very few concomitant risk factors. Myths abound about pre-disposal to prostate cancer, but these are unfounded and borne of ignorance.

I had somebody on AskReddit tell me they refused to debate with me (about a completely benign subject unrelated to anything gender or sex) simply because some browser extension told them I occasionally posted here. That. Is. Insane. What can't we say? One way to find these ideas is simply to look at things people do say, and get in trouble for. Of course, we're not just looking for things we can't say. We're looking for things we can't say that are true, or at least have enough chance of being t…

Man, how short are we talking? It seems like you're limiting yourself more than other people limiting you. I'm 5'9" and haven't been called short in years, mostly because I don't give a damn when people do, so it's boring.

A doctor can help if you have one you trust. Most are ignorant and dismissive to hormone issues. I use a lab called Defy Medical (Google them). Their website looks spammy but they're not. You fill out a questionnaire and they'll contact you to see which tests you want done. They send you a lab order and then you just show up at your local Labcorp for a quick blood sample. Testosterone of course, but don't forget estradiol (sensitive). Estradiol is the mother hormone of estrogen, progesterone, et…

Have you had your hormones checked? You can pay $60 for testosterone and estradiol sensitive blood panels. The modern man is relentlessly exposed to xenoestrogens - they're in nearly everything. Do you have low libido? ED? Depression? Effeminate behaviors? Difficulty gaining muscle mass? Low confidence? Fat deposition around the waist, thighs, or breasts? Get checked.

Absolutely. SSRIs do not work, and actually put you at greater risk for depression and mental disorders. Hormone therapy is a different story, if applicable.

How many innocent men will be incarcerated or their lives otherwise destroyed before we reach that endpoint? And yet you're right, because I don't see this being fixed any other way.

Yeah it's the same old story in every generation. Those damn meddling kids, am I right? The reality is that every generation continues to evolve and maintain its own perspective. Kids now are just as fucked up, amazing, lazy, hardworking, bored, stimulated, drugged, and sobered as the last and the one before it.

Eh, you had me nodding my head until the voting part. Don't kid yourself into thinking votes change a damn thing. Take a step back and see the reality of it all, the absolute futility of a single vote. It's propaganda, pure and simple.

Nation is arbitrary and meaningless, but otherwise I agree 100%. Is it acceptable for anyone to be obese considering modern medicine and diet? No. Obesity is not a disease, it's a self-induced condition.
