Sorry whats your point?

Fair enough, but i think in the latter case they do have a justifiable reason to post the picture. They need to identify him.
/r/MensRights03/05/16 08:22 PM
-10

Would it? Do you have an example of a news article for a UK case?
/r/MensRights03/05/16 06:51 PM
7

I really hate comments like this since it completely disregards the jurisdiction of the article. Iirc in the uk, the worst you get is 14 days in jail. So no, a man wouldn't be regestered as a sex offender
/r/MensRights03/05/16 06:19 PM

Well according to a quick google, 13% of women work in the mining industry. Plus isn't the pay as a miner decent these days and it's not crazy unsafe anymore?

Isnt using a 100 (?) year old photo as evidence as male inequality the same as using 1920s voting rights as evidence for female inequality?
/r/MensRights10/04/16 11:09 AM

Do the videos blame feminism as the cause? The UK has allways had a very strict view of masculinity (siff upper lip and whatnot) since the 1800s

Everyone is a saint in their own story.
/r/MensRights31/03/16 09:39 AM

If a man did this, the punishment would be much worse I wish when people said this, they would at least find a similar story when the man is the perpetrator.

Eh, people in this sub can be retarded at times. For example, people in this post point to this as the evidence of "the feminazi narrative is everywhere," when the post is currently at -25. I guess this sub could of brigaded it but that would prove the point of 3rd post in OPs link
/r/MensRights17/03/16 02:35 AM

This sub has really turned into feminism, cant take a simple joke.
/r/MensRights15/02/16 03:42 AM

Mild controversy that would amount to nothing? Its pretty much what happened when Seth MacFarlane hosted
/r/MensRights15/02/16 03:41 AM

Fair enough. But if we were to compare drunk consent to contract law, which the person above me was doing, such a contract would be voidable, since one party knew of the others intoxication
/r/MensRights03/02/16 10:33 AM
-4

I strongly suspect you have no idea what you are talking about. Why, because it doesnt fit with your worldview?
/r/MensRights03/02/16 06:27 AM
-1

Well a judge can rule that since you waited so long, the statute of limitations is up so to speak
/r/MensRights03/02/16 05:36 AM
2

If I get drunk and call 1800-DirectTV and order a new TV package, I can't later refuse to pay for it because I was drunk. You absolutely could. There is legal justification to void contracts if the party is drunk
/r/MensRights03/02/16 04:56 AM

I don't think a country has the moral or ethical obligation to ensure equality when choosing who to take as a refugee.

You need eveidence to not be downvoted? That doesn't seem to be true for op. Do you not need eveidence when you blame teh feminism?
/r/MensRights10/07/15 04:06 PM

If you down vote dissenting openions you create an echo chamber, which is what this sub is.

Ah this OP blaming external forces for internal problems. This sub has a problem with free discussion, not with a fictional SJW boogyman. EDIT: As expected downvoted and no discussion, can i blame this on the SJW?

Why is this an issue? People should be allowed to have [Men|Women|Black|White|Horse]-only awards. If its only socially acceptable to have one of the above, the solution is to pull the rest up, rather than the rest down.

Whos they?
/r/MensRights23/05/15 08:16 PM

I dont really have an issue with it, as it is presented by op. If people want a no boyz allowed club thats fine. Its only an issue when they get public or student union money or men cant do something similar.

Further research tells me it was far right nationalists and some eArly feminists who supported the movement. If it was 90% feminists I may agree with you (ignoring presentism) but if it was 90% nationalists your title is just misleading, it's like saying the nazis were a feminist movement because they were supported mostly by women. I just got that from a skim of Wikipedia
/r/MensRights05/04/15 05:11 PM

OP said "What do you think would happen if it was a man caught doing this?" and honnestly, in most places and in Canada, nothing different would have happened. OP needs to learn perspective and context, hence victim complex.
/r/MensRights05/03/15 06:36 AM
-3

How is that relevant? Has that happened in Canada? Also you shouldnt use feminist logic; if there is some injustice against men, therefore all acts are injustice.
/r/MensRights05/03/15 06:30 AM

This sub is getting stupid, if the genders were reversed nothing would happen. OP and people who upvoted have on big ass victim complex.

Judge Judy is an MRA Isnt saying that Judy is a MRA because she recognizes and is against male inequality is the same as saying someone is a feminist for supporting women's issues? Dont try and put labels on people OP

/r/MensRights12/02/15 07:48 PM
-3

I'm sad you're being downvoted. As much as this sub harps of feminism being an echo chamber, it's not like here it's any better. On topic, It would depend how hard it would be to get a court order, if it was a simple appearance before a judge, then I see no issue. If it takes a ton of money and time, then it is effectively a ban
/r/MensRights11/02/15 08:57 PM
-8

It doesn't, because op has chosen a completely irrelevant article to support his attempt to provoke 'discussion'.
/r/MensRights11/02/15 08:53 PM

But how else would you shoehorn such an article into this sub?
/r/MensRights11/02/15 08:50 PM

Only if that club receives federal funding, through club funding or something.

So it's okay to go have sex with a 17 year old because she likes getting finger banged? I mean it's just crazy to assume people would actually be upset about it. And she should be responsible when she has a baby? Of course on the other end of the spectrum
/r/MensRights05/09/14 09:43 PM

Did you just delete your original message, and all your other posts, and then post again? I find it kinda funny, that you call someone self important, when you go around scourging your comments and submissions lest they make you look bad. Also is this the second time you've posted this article here in three days? Also, why is your title from a previous submission, identical to the title of this article? EDit: You are weird deleting post left right and center.
/r/MensRights01/08/14 06:43 PM

A misquotation scandal from the 70s isnt important. Hell the relation between it and the current situation with Marco Rubio doesnt even make sense, (which is poor journalism IMO)

How does having 5% of the prison population in private hands make the justice system for profit and a industry?
/r/MensRights31/07/14 09:03 PM

I have, and yet i find no source that provides a distinction Plus are you implying that the < 153 private facilities somehow have and effect on the 3,365 county jails?

Note i did say private jails, not private prisons. Please show me that private jails exist.

Are you aware that private jails do not exist?
/r/MensRights31/07/14 06:09 PM

I think we need to express a little skeptism, I mean he didnt even post proof he was banned. I think if this sub sees a post that knocks feminism or r/feminism, logic and critical thinking go out the window. Plus people below have found posts that shows OP may be lying a little.

/r/MensRights30/05/14 10:14 PM

Out of curiosity, why have you labelled her a feminist? The article makes no mention of her feminist leanings or her ascribance to feminist ideology. One can fight for rights of women, and lie through their teeth without being a feminist. IMO I find it a bit disgusting that the OP seems to have tailored this situation to get a jab in on Feminism. This sort of bias and bending of the "truth" funnily enough is alike to the feminist tactics im sure we all hate.

/r/MensRights21/01/14 11:25 AM

Well your wrong then, read this sub every once and a while and you'll see an article from a feminist that is actually egalitarian in nature. Or you can stick your head in the sand and believe all feminists eat babies, which makes sense as you can have a civilised conversation without downvoting an opposing opinion like a 14 year old.
/r/MensRights14/01/14 11:51 PM

Thank you for getting examples of "mind boggling retarded," I did sorta address this you know.
/r/MensRights14/01/14 11:48 PM

No that is literally what you are saying. Its as childish and ignorant as "All feminists are literally hitler" Feminism isnt a boogy man that comes to eat your babies. We aren't a united front on this issue So? There is no reason why we should, To say that people who are for gay marriage are not MRA's and not welcome here will only permote groupthink and possibly make this place an echo chamber. Assuming that you are implying that /r/MensRights should be 100% united on the matter.
/r/MensRights20/12/13 10:51 AM

Perhaps, but its arguably justified, one doesn't go up to people and touch them, INAL but thats assault.

/r/MensRights16/12/13 09:25 PM

I dont even see how this is a race issue at all. You say: if the student were white Well there is no mention of him being black, and its not like a kid with the name of "Sam McNair" doesnt really scream ethnic at you now does it. Are you one of these people who gets provoked into a race war when some one asks "So what part of the world does your family come from?" Honestly how old are you? Like 16? Because you have a very immature attitude. YSK that you have the honour of being the first person …

what? In which way did I imply modern feminism was about equality or choice? I'm not saying it is necessarily but I did not touch on the subject
/r/MensRights13/12/13 08:45 PM
28

Why? People have the right to live their lives however they wish. You shouldnt be bothered if a woman wants to marry a rich man, or a man wanting to become rich to find a wife. To me it's akin to feminists getting angry at women who choose to be a housewife. To me equality is about having a choice, even if that choice is to be "traditional."

Basically what the comment above was trying to convey is that most of the users here (and on reddit for that matter) don't know the difference between self defense and retaliation. If you get punched once, by a man or woman, you have no right to punch back (more or less). One can only use self defense when there is a real threat of suffering more additional violence. There was an /r/videos link on how some girl punches a dude and begins to walk off. As she is walking off the dude knocks her out,…

Technically, sure. But by layperson, State can be implied to mean the US state, in the same way that America somehow implies to the US as well. English is more than standard dictionary definitions, but the colloquial use as well. Colloquially can people misconstrue State as the United States?

I'm sorry, I have no interest of having an uncivil discussion, as its really not worth my time. But for your sake I will, But we're the ones who have to make nice with feminists. We dont have to do anything, but if MR as a whole, wants to address men's issues successfully, perhaps it is best to "turn the cheek," focus on the issues, and swallow our pride when it comes to our anti-feminist tendencies. For example look at the NAACP (iirc) and Rosa Parks. Did you know that the exact situation occur…
/r/MensRights04/11/13 11:10 PM

I actually think feminists did good... until recently when they got kind of crazy. They started to demand strange things. Many of the problems actually are because of distortet feminism. At least in my opinion. And I agree, and I feel that MR needs to convince the older wave, and the people who still follow the spirit of the older wave, to work with us to tackle mens issues.

Oh no no no, I think nearly everyone here tried that before Then try again, and if they continue to refuse, at the rally for issue x say, "Hey we tried to offer working with the feminists, but they refused. We would love to work with them advancing issues of equality but _(' ')_/" Being rational lends legitimacy to the cause.

I feel that MR should accept that not all feminists are nazis and say to them "hey we don't really see eye to eye on some issues, ie Patriarchy theory, but let's work together on this simple issue."

While this sub is generally good, there is some retarded shit that occurs. I think some times this sub mimics a lot of shit that feminism does while at the same time criticizing the same thing about feminism. I swear this sub focuses more on feminism then men's rights. Just read any post where something had happens to a man and count the comments until feminism is blamed. This thread for example, look at how many blame it on teh feminists, preferring to blame an outside force than to acknowledge…

terrorism works time to time, it doesn't make it valid. By you are right, mr should emulate parts of the feminist movement that led tu o the first and second waves, such as rationalism, stategic activism, And more importantly public image. In my openion mr focuses too much on anti feminism and small issues like this post, instead of major issues. And feminisms censorship of discorse and discsenting openions isn't really working out. On the note to your edit, this sub can be a bit silly at times. A man has a bad case of alimony? Marriage is bad in every possible situation. Better to forsake all relationships in fact. Sometime I think this sub has gone full retard

Reverse the rolls, and I would still say no. I'm not an expert, but I presume when most of this shit goes on, the perpetrating party does not know their actions are harmfull, and these actions need to be confronted with communication. I feel that the way society feels that any point of physicality, makes the relationship abusive. Breaking up with no ifs ands or buts instead of working it out, is the easy way out. But I'm not an expert, and the decision lies with the op anyways

they are likely to progress to hitting you Because it happened to you once, which would make you basing a conclusion on an anecdote. Furthermore, your advice is frankly retarded. I think you're grasping at straws, fight videos get removed all the time from youtube. Plus its not a serious issue, I feel being angry about this is equivalent for feminists to be angry about female portrayal in 30 year old video games. Edit: Welp there goes my attempt at intelligent conversation

obviously false things But isn't what is obvious or not another degree of subjectiveness? Of course I would say "There is no wage gap, the poor make the same as the rich," blatantly true but if I say "The wage gap is engineered by the 1% to keep down the 99%" some will take this as obviously true or obviously false. In all downvoting what is obviously false is all fine, as long as you dont label anything that opposes your viewpoint, false, which is unfortunately what reddit does not do.

You can't get a "campus violence prevention coordinator" position unless you're 110% politically correct and ideologically committed. Or you are someone who likes money, and will say anything and put on any mask to get in a position where you can get that money.

This is what humanity is about You don't need to follow any credo to be unethical. Man or Woman has the capacity to embezzle and steal funds and isn't that what equality is all about in the end? Everyone can equally be dicks to one another.

What document is the img from in this comment Men are raped by women about as often as women are raped by men. Notice how the rape of men by women is not listed under rape. And how the lifetime rate of raped men is estimated to be almost the same amount as the rape of men for that one year alone, as though men didn't exist prior to that year.

Link From what I understand from the paper it seems that it argues that the rate of female homicide is equivalent to the amount of "patriarchy" in a area.
