She said clearly it doesn't come with perks. She's showing appreciation. It's personal, from her. She didn't have to distinguish the comment to do it, but the worries about that are disproportionate. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about how things work here or even PM me. You don't have to speculate.

You're writing a reply to me. If you're already looking at a post, the filters are not going to hide it. The purpose is to hide "Advice" posts from the front page of PPD for people who don't want to see it. In the future, people may want to hide controversial new topics. The new filters can help with that.

I don't even believe gynocentrism. I believe in phallocentrism. I say outright that men will almost always be dominant at the top, and most of the girls in that subreddit agree. If you want to argue about why we should be concerned about gynocentrism, I welcome it on our subreddit. Who knows? Maybe you're right and we have cause for concern.

Include a summary of points in your own words, not just copy/pasted excerpts. What are the main points you wish to discuss? Don't leave it to people to read through that wall of text and interpret.

Calling the spouse of a person names is a personal attack. It doesn't have to be direct to be personal. Calling women AWALT whores doesn't single out a single person. Calling TRPers "wannabes" isn't personal either. Making personal remarks like "loser", "faggot", etc, against the spouse of a specific person is personal. Appeal in modmail with other concerns.

The mods generally act as fairly as they can as mods. They're allowed to have their opinions while commenting as users. If you suspect rules violations then bring them up with the mod team. If anything there are more active bp mods most of the time. ARS and I are the only clearly "red" ones.

Posting is not the same as reading through every comment on every thread. I skim through every thread. I don't bother reading through every comment. I don't see anyone crying "conspiracy" -- the complaint I see (and that's been brought before) is that the established rules aren't getting enforced consistently. Consistency, when you're expecting it from 5-7 active mods, requires a bit of collaboration or conspiracy. The mods act independently unless someone brings up an issue to mod mail. There a…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 05:29 PM
2

I can't comment on what other mods are doing, because, as I've told you, I only pay attention to topics I'm personally interested in and stuff that gets reported. A lot of people here are grossly overestimating the amount of collaboration and conspiracy there is going on. at least a few of whom are among the more active users on this sub -- don't read through comments just like everyone else. No. I'm willing to bet most people don't read through all the comments. Not even half.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 05:10 PM

You earned your battle scars already. If you truly think your reports are being ignored (and they likely aren't, just disagreed with), just PM us for an explanation or reversal. Or even PM me personally for anything important.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 02:06 AM
1

The above user, /u/ProbablyBelievesIt , is someone whom I fought against publicly as well as in mod PMs due to a couple of misunderstandings from both ends. We were both conciliatory. It does not help things when users automatically jump to the conclusion we're biased instead of giving us the benefit of the doubt and working with us. Guys: If you're looking for an enemy, you'll find one. This isn't just PPD subreddit advice. This is general advice you can take offline.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 01:27 AM
2

They skim through this stuff just as much as the rest of us. No, we really don't. No one wants to sort through the personal shit being flung.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/17 01:18 AM
2

I try my best but I hit back when attacked. Besides, a good dust up is fun now and again. This is why you keep being told to be civil by the mods. It's great that you want to be a strong, independent PPDer who don't need no mod, but can you see how it will make it more difficult for us to be "unbiased" when you're being reported and you don't report back during your "dust ups"? Report, and explain why you're reporting like other members do.

This is OK: "Women deserved to be raped." This is not OK: "Women like YOU deserved to be raped." One of these is personally directed. The rules are against personal attacks. If you make a sincere observation like "men are creeps and inherently rapey" or "women are hypergamous whores", and you sincerely believe that, that is not against the rules. It's extremely difficult to create an objective ruleset that bans such statements because of the nature of "purple pill" discussions. No, the ratio hasn't changed because it's referring to ancestor population. Over twice as many of our ancestors are women as men, most of whom died without legacy. That's unlikely to change in the near term. The part that is a wild ass guess by the researchers are the exact percentages (80% and 40% -- it could have been 60% and 30% for all we know). The ratios are still supported. Your 80:75 ratio is just a snapshot of how many today might have children.

The fact that 80% men are descended from 40% of women show women are inherently deceptive (...) That might be a misreading or a typo. It looks like it was taken from another stat: twice as many of our ancestors were women as they were men. The 80% was a reference to the fact that many women passing their genes on vs 40% of men. It was actually a wild ass guess. All we could say from the studies this came from was that women were considerably more successful at reproduction. The causes of this im…

You're under no obligations to report anything. My point is that you might be seeing bias where none exists. I removed some comments in threads directed at RPers because I happen to be an RPer myself and they were relevant to me. Those threads also happened to have a lot of activity, so violators of the rules are more likely to get attention. This thread was directed at BPers, and it also has less attention so it was unlikely to have been reported. If anyone perceives bias and it bothers them th…

So how'd I do, bluepillers? OP, your thread was a question to RPers, and I assumed this last part was more frivolous than anything. However, if you wanted serious opinions on your attempt from bpers, then in the interest of keeping things organized, I'd recommend you move your own attempt into the comments (as a root comment) to get responses from BPers. That would the neatest way to go. Otherwise you could start a new thread with a less misleading title.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/15 12:14 AM
4

You need to follow the rules. 1) You're clearly BP. You can respond to comments made by others here, but don't respond directly to the OP's post which asks for answers from RPers. 2) Be civil and don't make this too personal.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/15 11:43 PM

A root comment. A comment made in response to the OP. My comment and your comment were both responses to comments, not the OP's post. The OP wrote a question to RPers, and her response was an answer to his post, but she is not RP.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/15 11:40 PM

OP's question was directed at fellow RPers. As per subreddit rules, I'm removing top level comments that are not from an RPer. If this was in mistake, and you are RP despite your colorless flair then please let me know. I'd also recommend you change your flair color to avoid future confusion.

I think that the problem is that the mods don't recognize nuance. They don't understand how women and TBP do personal attacks. They use snide language and little fake endearments like "dear" when they talk down to us. For some reason, if a person doesn't come right out and say "fuck you" then it isn't a personal attack. We understand the nuance. I admitted my own opinion twice in this sub that rules/laws have an inherent bias in favour of people using passive aggressive attacks as opposed to ove…

Yea, we wouldn't want BP posts disturbing the nice RP circlejerk we have here. Refer to CFRP's post about upcoming Wednesday change to rules. Also, I just asked people to take this kind of shit elsewhere.

And in that thread the post that agreed with the BP was the lowest voted post, compared to this one where three of the top four posts are all 'You're so right' followed by more 'yeah, he's totally right' That was not the case when you first posted. They were both top posts. But he put effort into the exact opposite of the point of CMV. If you have a suggestion to make do so to the mods. If you believe that should be against the rules then message /r/PurplePillDebate . Keep these threads free of …

What a marvelous attempt to change their view by agreeing with everything they said. That is not against the rules, even during debate week. Commenters are allowed to agree with the OP. This applies to blue pill CMV posts as well, as shown here: http://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/2n9ymu/rp_advice_is_just_as_generic_as_be_yourself/cmbpf5g Arguably, derpyRPlurker's is less circlejerky and higher effort than most agreement posts. Next time, just report personal attacks. Read the rules for this week. Don't waste your time responding, especially with more retaliatory condescension. We're just going to remove them.

Your first snarky comment was already overreaching. Don't behave this way, especially in CMV/Debate threads this week. Try to limit yourselves to serious comments.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/14 07:56 AM

No, I'm not removing it. It's a borderline case. We barely decided to let it go in light of the fact that it already has a lot of discussion on it and we did not notice early enough. I would have removed this had this been given a more serious tag (debate/cmv) and judged more harshly as per debate week rules. This is mainly a warning and explanation.

Just an FYI, your title is editorialized. No where in that article do they use the term "brown people". As per rules for posts, titles should be opinion-free.

I could tell you more, but I hate you all. All of you red morons with your 20th century understanding of global economics. Yeah! Let's keep following neoliberal ideas! Those guys never steered us wrong! I bet you jerks think "neoliberal" means "socially liberal" don't you? IT DOESN'T. "Neoliberal" basically means "economically liberal" and its ideals often run counter to socially liberal ideals. Bush and Cheney are neoliberals, but they are not social liberals. This is a debate topic. As per deb…

As such, TRP views do get special protection on here from ridicule (as opposed to criticism which such views receive plenty of). Individual posters have protection from ridicule. That's how it's meant to be. The only person I've banned in this sub was someone who was attacking you. PurplePillDebate needs to operate like a very light version of TRP in a way so that members of TRP have incentive to debate here. There have been no such discussions. The mods have been accused by both sides of coddli…

http://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/2j20qy/minor_updates_to_subreddit_style_taking/ She has both "Red" and "Blue" in the flair label, the color of which is based on those keywords (along with some others). Red took precedence in the stylesheet. She hasn't asked to change it. Nothing is really stopping her from doing this, just like nothing is stopping a very anti-BP person from taking a blue label.

Adding the "np" prefix to your link in place of WWW. E.g. "np.reddit.com" enters the site in no-participation mode. It's common reddit etiquette to remind people not to brigade. In hindsight though, your link appears to go to a year-old post which can't be voted on anyway, so I'm not going to let frivolous technicalities get in the way.

This is like banning self-defense, but not banning assault in the first place. "Not banning assault"? No, this is merely like "not banning passive-aggression". Subtly provoking or insulting comments don't usually get people tossed into jail. Even borderline harassment is usually ignored if the perpetrator has plausible deniability and stops after being told to. Reacting violently in a way that obviously breaks the law does not have the same benefit of plausible deniability. In your case, the equ…

Don't worry about it. The discussion was philosophical and between me and him. I only sympathized slightly because I've dealt with a lot of passive-aggression in this sub and in PMs. I was hoping I could reason with him about controlling his reactions.

Capitulating to this kind of fuckwittery can only destroy the very point of a debate forum. I don't claim to know precisely the value of debate or how to manage the perfect forum, but I am certain enough that capitulating to your style isn't conducive to one. I've tried my best to be reasonable with you, and gave you the benefit of my doubt under the wild assumption that you might be on drugs for your pain. I will discuss the details of granting you your "victory" though.

Laws that govern human behavior by their very nature benefit passive-aggressiveness. They favor the side that has enough plausible deniability. Meanwhile, overt retaliation that obviously and explicitly breaks the rules are more easily dealt with. This is true not just in PPD. This is true everywhere. The world is not fair. Rules are not always fair. Rules are made to maintain order. But you know that already. You can call out "fuckwits" to your heart's content on TRP. Blue pillers can do almost…

Two TBP posts for a single thread, after he responded to the meta_bot of your first? You're abiding by the strict letter of the law, but I'm starting to suspect a bit of passive aggressiveness. I advise you to quit wasting your time, because I'm going to be nuking this chain of comments if it goes further. This will include yours since you're merely aggravating him.

That thread passes. He NP'ed the link and didn't invite brigading. I do think he may have been passive aggressive later, and I have acknowledged that. If you feel that certain individuals are deliberately aggravating you, just report it and move on. The main violator of rules in this thread has been you.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/2j20qy/minor_updates_to_subreddit_style_taking/.compact Tl;dr - the flair coloration currently changes depending on the flair text. If you have "Red", "RP " or a few variations of that color (like Crimson or Infrared) in your flair title text (case sensitive), then your flair color will match it. The same goes for Purple/PP and Blue/BP. For example, if your flair text was "Evil Red" or "Evil Red 2", then your flair color would be red. You can al…

I'm talking about your suggestion, the one about using the "choose your own flair" purple style. It wouldn't go well with the purple upvotes. That is, unless we made it a very light color. I will try some ideas when I next get the chance though.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/14 03:43 PM

The problem with that would be the upvoted threads in your Recently Viewed Links. Those threads come with a little Purple Pill Upvote, which will look bad/hidden with a purple background. A dull Yellow might work though as that contrasts with purple.

I actually had similar idea, only to make these strikes public. For egregious violations, I'd add a strike somewhere near their name so people would be more cautious about trolling. Such a thing requires considerably more manual effort, but if the idea is well-supported and well-defined, then it's up for consideration (but still not guaranteed).

It's technically passable to me because your pluralization of hamster which makes me assume you are referring to trp in general. A healthy lifestyle for me would be one in which we don't have to use bp intuition to help us guess how much trust we should have in various relationships. It would be as close to being measurable as possible for all sides, and we'd plan accordingly. I believe such a thing would be especially helpful to people who think similarly to you and share your struggles.

It is within bounds to me. He's not insulting any particular individuals. He may be saying some offensive things about particular groups of people, but let's be real, it's not more or less offensive than what we usually see given the subjects discussed at ppd. Consider how often SMV is discussed and how certain people may feel about their own attributes being described as "low smv traits". That being said, we'll certainly discuss it among ourselves.

I'm not even a fan of making posts like this, mostly because I don't think it will stop anyone. But this is the third time this has happened on PPD. Most the time we bury it. I agree that the person who actually put in the initial effort is most likely irreconcilable. I got the impression though that some people who engage in this behaviour, second hand, think it's ok. "Someone else was the one who put in the effort. I'm just writing what others should already know." Even well-meaning people wil…

This isn't simply the PG crowd. There's just no room for it here. A million other offensive things exist for you to say, this one is against the rules, just as personal attacks in general are against the rules. Don't incite suicide in suicidal threads. There's no discussion on this matter. If you want to talk about something more abstract and less personally directed, then feel free to start threads on that instead.

Calm down. Besides insulting him, you are misunderstanding his point. His point is that if the buddy was a good beta, then the girl should have stuck with him while banging alphas on the side. That is what AF/BB implies would be the normal course of action for this situation if you take it to its logical extreme. It's pedantic, but technically he is not wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/14 08:17 AM

That's fine. But you don't have to fill in the silence with just plain insults.

There's a fuckload of context behind it being added in the left. I understand perfectly what a reactionary movement is. MRA's and TRP, fall within that to pretty much everyone outside of thos small angry groups. Also, nice insult chief, clearly you've kept frame throughout all this. If you're just going to keep calling him delusional and insulting groups without providing explanation of your point of view (besides "fuckload of context, too much work"), then there's no point to continue this.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/14 06:49 PM

Going forward, you should report instead of retaliating in that manner. Your post was fine until the final sentence. That was unnecessary. You can either remove that or I will remove the post.

This was a needless remark. The most respectable course of action here would be to explain what you think was wrong rather than attacking him.
