We are so used to women being disrespected that most of the time we don’t even see it. Almost all HV couples I know depend on some degree on the woman humiliating herself

A counter narrative to sex work is legitimate work and deserves respect? I think that is already the ... waves at everything.

I’m not into the idea of, yet again, of focusing our rage on other women, rather than the men who cause the pain. I understand the frustration, and I definitely noted away from a friend who told me she was a prostitute (even though at the time I was pro sex work). It’s just too convenient of a target and patriarchy loves when we rage at each other.

I was stalked by a cop and he acted like it was this really funny friendly thing that he was just always driving around the neighborhood looking for me, pulling up on to sidewalks in his unmarked undercover vehicle, etc.

I think a lot of women with children are not in a financial position to live independently. Sometimes staying for the kids sake means the kids get to live in a comfortable house and go to a good school.

I’m so happy I got to lose my virginity and have sex before online porn was a thing. Me and one of my first boyfriends would spend literally days just smoking weed and experimenting. We had a copy of the Kama sutra and we would try out different positions and switch who would take the lead on certain things. It was fun and playful and sweet. I can’t believe we managed to ruin sex even more than it already was ruined by “women’s liberation “.

A necessary step might be to draw a cartoon version of your clit on any surface that you come across, especially on dusty car windows and in snow.

And I think it’s totally normal not to be fixated on the genitalia of our lover. Fixation on body parts is weird. Guys are just fixated on their own dicks and somehow we get the message we have to be too. It would be weird if women were like, look at my clit!!! Tell me it’s big!

I think sex has gotten exponentially worse in the age of porn. It’s all simulated rape now. And it’s all this weird power struggle. I literally have to physically struggle and fight with guys for them to get me off sometimes. It’s rare when that is not the case. My wish for you is that you someday find a lover who you actually like and who wants sex to be about generosity, appreciation, and mutual pleasure and respect.

I just had an interaction with a man saying he suffered from DV and men were “the most alone” “with no support “. Except it was his ex partner who lived with a roommate and her 8 month old with him while he lives in a house to himself and feels comfortable talking about how “unbalanced “ she is to near strangers.

This sort of reminds me how much criticism Kim Kardashian has gotten for fundamentally saying what Billie is saying. When someone blond and they can manipulate comes along whose working for them anc not herself, suddenly it reads different.

I mean the media sort of going after her fpr having beefs is nothing new. And I think part of it, and I am no hip hop scholar, so correct me if I’m wrong, is going after whoever is hot. It’s what hip hop battles, events which form the building blocks of hip hop culture, are about.

I think something that goes along with this is invalidating someone’s desire to be married to a man or the whole, why doesn’t she just leave? There are so many women where being in partnership or marriage, even a bad one, hugely changes their way of life and access to jobs and social spaces. Also, I know a lot of lower income women who physically could not leave if they tried. I’m happy for everyone where being married doesn’t matter, who have access to jobs and friends and entertainment while s…

Yep. I don't even think he is waiting for his dream girl. He's just along for the ride in life. His parents baby him and has resources. A girlfriend is for the company, sex, etc. He will be nominally in a partnership with her until she gets too bothersome.

The US talks so much about freedom but it’s one of the places with the most intrinsic fear. Homelessness and disease are literally hanging over the heads of the wealthiest individuals because the psychological /social fabric has been ripped to shreds by white supremacy. If people don’t perform white supremacy correctly they are ostracized.

Yes! I was raised by a poor single mom. I am definitely not commenting on quality of life or access to opportunities. I think people who have connections to the BBC or a law firm are upper middle class. They can afford child care and rent or mortgage and can afford to have children. It is the big chunk in the lower middle where having children becomes untenable, just in terms of actually being able to care for the child, feed, and clothe them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/03/21 06:10 PM
21

When you are poor you participate in alternative economies of favors and extended family (for better or for worse) and are eligible for certain public benefits that can make having children feasible. If you are middle class, you are expected to pay for everything, and you are often socially and economically punished if you can't (that corporate manager maybe won't give you the promotion if you live in a housing project, etc). So if you are making $1,000 a month but paying $250 in rent and child …

It’s such “my dog has such a big personality” vibes. My problem with marriage is that I have so much I want to do in life that just not being a bang maid doesn’t cut it. If I have a partner then I need to be supported and every man I have been with either puts his own projects front and center or is trying to cut me down. And it doesn’t work for me. It doesn’t sound like this guy is in a partnership. He just is proud that he basically polite to his wife

Yes! I hate this gaslighting of “it’s the 21st century, you don’t need a man!” Its bullshit. I’m socially ostracized from my friends who have families. And even from new people I meet. I’m glad other people live in some rosy land of free single women, but that is not my experience. And I won’t have the vacations my married friends do. I only have the house because of inheritance. Every single conversation people look down on me because I haven’t “landed” a man.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/21 08:40 PM

I work in copyright and the dissemination of media. Someone absolutely can share a picture they took of you. There is no copyright claim you can make, unless they are using it to sell a product in which case they need a signed release (nothing to do with copyright). Yes it’s so gross. And it’s not just porn, it’s American puritanical, white supremacist culture. It’s racist. I come from a culture where dancing is important. Americans are always sexualizing it. They are like, how can you let an 8 year old dance like that? Well we haven’t minimized people dancing to sexual objects instead we see them as partaking in important expressions of our culture and vibrancy so maybe don’t with your colonial sexual fantasies.

The only thing I take issue with here is seeing twerking as sexual. A woman getting paid millions of dollars to dance by her self on stage is not sex and definitely can not be equated with low value casual sex. Dancing is not sex. Twerking actually has religious roots and dancing has been an important way African Americans preserved their cultural roots and identity even when their language and religions were prohibited.

As long as you have some escape plan, I think it works. Some money saved, a house in your name, a good prenup that includes alimony and a settlement and child support, money for a lawyer, or a plan to get to work when your child turns 4.

We were taught that physical affection equaled romantic interest. In every single tv and movie, the couple finally kisses and then their romantic journey begin. In the kiss they have already communicated commitment, love, and respect. It has never ever worked out like that for me. And I actually don’t know even what the beginning of a good relationship looks like.

A lot of the time I don’t even think they are sexually attracted to women either. They are stimulated more by male approval for their conquests than the actual intimacy with a woman. They have sex thinking about how they will tell the guys how he “banged her” and that recounting is what is actually stimulating to them.

An LVM doesn't invest in their partners businesses and investments and might even sue the woman if they think money might have been going to an unauthorized destination. I have been asked out by billionaires who wouldn't give me $100 to buy ice cream on the corner. Good luck to those women who can swing it, but I think it is a huge risk. I have met several women who were hot and wintering in St Barth's with their LVM in their 20s, only to be left with out a penny and no track record for a job or…

I have seen so many beautiful, smart women fall for the trap of the rich LVM and be left penniless and without an education at the end. The rich LVM sometimes demands even more attention, time, and resources than the broke LVM because you don't even have the chance to keep a job or get an education because "you don't need one" and you will be too busy flying around the world to suck his dick on …

Consent is not a policy decision that has to be written out before hand. Consent is not a bureaucratic process. Consent can be freely given and retracted based on nothing but your mood, feeling, disposition, or whatever else comes solely from the deepest inner workings of a person. It is so rapey for men to even think this way.

I think an addendum to this could be, it’s really not that hard to be a decent human being and partner. Women manage to do it all the time. We care about your feelings and your well-being. We think of ways to make you happy and lighten your burden in life. And we do it without cheating on you or ritually humiliating you. All we ask is that you grow up and dedicate yourself to being a full, responsible adult who cares about other people.

Yeah, personally, if someone didn’t care about the people closest to me and being a part of making their lives fun and good, I would find no reason to be in a relationship with that person and feel like they didn’t fit into my life. I don’t know. My bare minimum includes my partner caring about my family and wanting to share in the experiences and burdens of life with me. This is part and parcel of toxic masculinity. I had a boyfriend who wanted to marry me and “respected me too much” to let me give him a blow job. Da fuck? I enjoy pleasuring my partner. That’s the point of sex for me. The fact that he would “let” other women give him blow jobs before who he “didn’t respect” was so bizarre and, I realize, so typical. It’s all just so gross. Back when I was young prey, I found the best way to react was to be super super friendly. There is so much psychology that has weird evolutionary theory basis that starts with “it would have made sense to have this feeling when we were hunter gatherers but now you are just an idiot” and as women also we are taught that every single feeling is an over reaction. In the first case, there are plenty of dangers and things to be afraid of in modern life. And, all of our feelings are valid because we feel them. They are justified because we are feeling them. It’s not more complicated.

I mean he was not emotionally supportive in the least. I remember reading their texts (didn’t watch the doc). He was checked out. The scary thing is he was checked out on a level many of us consider normal. And we have to admit there is something very wrong.

Yes. Two of the same except one was calling out to his white supremacist followers to stand by. It’s so cool for us to have violent paramilitary groups attacking people on the streets and the president supporting them and people posting about how he and the opposition “are the same”. It’s cool. Everything is fine. /s And to the point of OP. Biden’s approach to dealing with a pathological narcissist was a good one. They respond only to blocking, NC, or ridicule. That is why FDS does not recommend…

Your comment really clarifies for me how this is all connected to capitalism and white supremacy, social structures which thrive on dominance and humiliation. We are taught that capitalist /western cultures are the least misogynistic. At least in other places, women are not feminized to the point of complete incapacity.

I don’t think giving to someone who is not grateful or can’t receive is love. The other part of the pickme description that confuses me though is “the cool girl”. Like how do y’all have time not to be a cool girl? To dress up and text every day? Maybe I’ve been so neglected I have become the ultimate cool girl, so focused on work and other things. I never felt like I fit a heteronormative/white narrative, so it feels strange to me. This is a jumble of thoughts. If anyone has an insight lmk.

My cousin said he would make his girlfriend wait to get married to make sure she wasn’t a gold digger. She waited 7 years. Guess who bought their apartment and paid for their lavish wedding ? Edit: it’s pure delusion

I mean even as a property owning independent American woman, I face a lot of flack for being single. Whether it’s job opportunities or being invited on vacations or the considerably less money I make. Some people don’t want to face all that and make the calculation to just be treated like shit as long as they can have a better life.

Also to all the women who face social death if they leave or economic hardship for themselves and their children. Most people do not have the resources to pick up and make it on their own.

My cheating ex told me to watch a movie on his computer when I wasn’t feeling well. He left his gmail open where on the first page in the first line (where you can read it without opening the email) there was an outgoing message that mentioned he had a lot of sex on a work trip I did not go on. I had to tab through his gmail to close it. And he still got mad at me for snooping. I was on a plane the next day and made him pay for it all.

I stopped commenting because all of my comments were being deleted for lack of flair and I couldn’t find the description of how to become part of the sub in the handbook. Thanks to this post for clarification. I will start commenting again.

My ex boyfriend had a pet name for me which translates to something like Little Hard Ass/Naglette/Miss Annoys Me and 3 years later I realized that is not my personality. The dude was just driving me crazy.
