Anytime finances are an issue and someone entertains expensive addictions, that usually means this is their life forever.

I've been in a few trade shows/ conferences. If I'm manning a booth, the only time a phone comes out is if I'm coordinating something with colleagues there. If your goal is to be inviting for foot traffic, you cannot have a phone out. If I'm the foot traffic or just observing a talk, if it's low priority I might be able to text, but if anything is remotely social for networking, it's never coming out.

Man here, but anecdotally from the women in my life, this checks out. Different women have different opinions on the "I don't need no man" mentality, but largely I'd say women tend to be way less independent than men, and not necessarily due to financial reasons. My wife and my mom are two opposite extremes. My wife currently makes more than I do. She's stable, makes good decisions and has a good support system. She's probably the epitome of the woman who could actually 100% be independent and n…

was respecting women enough for you to get a girlfriend? was the bar truly in hell I don't know any woman who actually has this take, but; got first GF from being situational alpha and being attractive enough. Second gf, now wife, got FOMO when she learned I was dating someone else and a week after first gf and I broke up, she made a move. It's not red or blue pill, it's both. Being physically attractive gets you in the door, if you're not socialized properly, you'll still be ruled out. One or t…

If you're not hooking up then it's not as serious, but if he's even aware you're dating someone else it could still trigger a similar response. It's bad etiquette to step on the toes of someone else's relationship. That sort of thing is for movies, irl I don't know many decent guys who want to play the pick-me dance. Again, I don't know you, so don't take my prescription, but my wife was 100% in on me and 0% in on other guys. We were young, but we'd been friends for years. We both seemed off-lim…

I don't his values, but if you're already entangled with someone else, I could 100% imagine that's pegging you in his mind as off limits. I know plenty of pretty girls who I got along with, but if another man is currently banging them, I'm not interested. Girls who I found attractive have offered to cheat on their boyfriends with me, which immediately killed how I thought of them. If she's into non-exclusive relationships, I'm probably never interested. Perhaps he's similar. If he's okay with no…

I'm not looking to be adversarial, but you've contradicted yourself a few times which looks like a disconnect from the reality of dating. It could be naiveté from you, but it might come off as entitlement. You say you never had "hot" on your list, but list tall and muscular. Your goalposts for intellect are vague enough for people to know what you mean, but you can say it's not that much when it looks like your asking for a lot. The end effect looks like you want a lot, but simultaneously don't …

If you're just looking for what to look for, you should be the only judge of that. The original list you of standards you submitted is long and will exclude 9999/10000 men. Pick what's important to you, trim the rest. By definition, you're going to be closer to the average girl than the top .01%. I'm not saying settle for trash, but use your experience to pick the most important characteristics of a guy at your level. If he needs to be hot, great, but then he might not be loyal. If he needs to b…

I don't know how many men you interact with, so I don't want to make assumptions, but you might have a bit of an inflated self-view, assuming your social circle is more than a couple people. Like tends to attract like. Your social circle is mostly likely full of people at around your socio-economic class, intelligence level, and share similar morals. If you're doing it right, you should be able to find people like you out of your social circle. If you can't attract those types as acquaintances, …

Every woman wants this. What sets you apart from the 99% of other women? Having standards is free, but taking a list of demands to men with high optionally and the attitude of "serve me because I had a bad breakup" sounds like a losing plan.

Could be my observer bias. There's been a lot of "the guy I'm seeing wants me to accept a one-way open relationship, is very aggressive, and doesn't share my values, but he's very attractive. What should I do?" type posts recently and I cannot tell why people even need to ask.

Generally if you're at the point where you need to make a reddit post about someone's behavior, the situation is not normal. People need to trust their gut more, it's right 99% of the time.

If your family's faith cannot survive one caregivers beliefs, it is incredibly brittle. You will encounter thousands of those who don't share your beliefs, it's well past time to learn how to work with them.

I'm a guy with a quiet personality. I might be missing context, but this doesn't strike me as quiet, but rather cagey. If I like a girl and she's putting in the effort to see if we align, I'm absolutely giving her the info she needs. One word answers like "family" to important questions sounds more evasive/ dismissive than quiet.

Man here. To me, the gesture is a simply a "I'm thinking of you, and wanted you to have something nice". Not super high effort, but just a way to remind them they're on your mind even when not physically present. It shows they can think about what you want from your point of view, instead of getting you what he would have wanted. The reciprocal act is anything that indicates you're thinking of them while out. It's usually low-ish investment, and tailored for their wants, not yours. A BJ could ma…

You've blanketed the entire group "men" in with some subset of whatever red pill beliefs you're concerned about. Ask 100 different men their view on women and relationships, you'll get 100 different answers. You're concerned with the values of a single-digit subset of men, you don't have to date and marry those men. You can pick men whose beliefs will make for a good partner.

RP is a toolkit to get what you want. Plenty of men want a committed, monogamous relationship and a stable family dynamic. In most marriages, Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa are still getting it on. Kind of hard to reconcile your belief with how the majority of people age in their marriages.

People having ex's isn't necessarily a red flag (unless there's a lot of them), but the behavior they exhibit in past relationships can be. I'd take a girl who had 3 exes that ended due to them moving away or learning the guy isn't what she needs or something vs a girl with one ex who cheated on her that she doesn't seem over. If she's mentally 100% here, doesn't have a sketchy past and is bringing her best, who cares about the guys she dated. If we're not even out of the honeymoon phase and she…

It does not sound like he has the level of responsibility needed to beneficially contribute to raising a child. She's already expending energy taking care of him. She won't get that back when there's another dependent.

I wasn't even bringing up age, but yeah that goes without saying. There might be fewer of them now, but there's still plenty of younger people perfectly willing to have stable monogamous relationships, my wife and I were examples. Some subset of them will be sufficiently attractive. An even smaller subset of them will make good money, it's a number's game, we all know how few people out there we're willing to share a home with and want to jump their bones. Not a woman, so feel free to delete or ignore if not relevant, but from what you wrote, you didn't really describe the guy you're seeing as a person, more of a blank check with caveats. You contrast him vs. "enjoying your youth", so I assume you don't enjoy your time with him. What's your goal of dating? If you want a comfortable stable guy who loves you, you've got one and you seem "meh" on it. FWIW, I know a handful of women (and was raised by one) who did the fun in their 20's thing and then …

They exist, but the conditions to find it are very specific. My wife and I are early 30's, each other's first "real" relationship. Started dating her just prior to my 16th birthday. Both her parents and grandparents are high school sweethearts, and my parents have a combined 7 or 8 divorces between them. She was comfortable emulating what she saw growing up, and I was happy to do the opposite. It worked for us. To have good odds of making it, you need to build relationship experience one way or …

Form a platonic relationship first. If you start a romantic encounter with some (aka a date), don't be surprised when the theme drifts sexual. See if you can form a relationship with someone with a non-sexual foundation first. If you could see yourself dating them/ are attracted to them, see if they're open to escalating it.

Fun and interesting makes for good friends. I believe you should be friends with your spouse, but your spouse occupies way more important roles. For example, I have a female neighbor I basically have been going on a once a month coffee date to talk shop, as she's in my profession and we can share a lot of insights with each other. We're friends who are essentially networking, and I enjoy our chats. But.., I don't want to talk shop with my wife. I used to literally work with my wife a few years b…

Ask ten men, get ten different answers. The common threads are usually a few points in what men are and aren't looking for. They're generally looking for the things you'd expect. Feminine companionship, someone who makes them look good, good mother to children, sex, etc. Even some of these are flexible. Number 1 of what they're not looking for is drama. Everything else is extras. I won't date a woman because she's funny, or educated, or really good at golf, or whatever. I will instead do quite a…

I met my wife in 6th grade, started dating in 10th. Teenage girls don't really need to do much to attract their peers. If you have the eye, spot guys with potential to grow into what you're looking for. If you don't, you're fixated in the wrong types of guys. The types of guys who have the ability to "gain experience" are probably too busy filtering through options to commit to one at such a young age. Spread your attention around. From what you describe, he's not ready to take on the provider role happily. If you want to be a financial co-contributor 50/50, go for it. If not, he needs to change his attitude. You're 30, waiting 5 years to let the relationship degrade from where it is is a disservice to yourself.

You cannot rely on someone to provide if they're consistently weaponizing it. You can want him to be a provider all you want, but he acts like he resents it, and like you won't have a say. If you're letting him provide money, it is assumed you're providing other things, but if he only values money, then you will never be valued. You're here because your gut says this won't work, listen.

Sorry, didn't see your response a couple days ago, but a couple notes; Getting married quickly: - Strongly depends on the type of guy you're dating and where you both are in life. Coming out of the gate and saying "We won't be having sex until we're married" may sound like strong, normal boundaries, because they were not that long ago, but depending on your culture that's akin to saying "You won't get what you want until I get what I want". Non-religious guy but I can appreciate the "restrained" attitude. I don't know many non-religious men who would be interested in such a relationship. Those who agree likely won't have options, and are undesirable. The rest won't agree either because they're not getting what they want out of the relationship for years, or they assume you're doing a bait-and-switch (except with no bait. Yes, male sperm correlates more strongly to the health of the baby, but how many babies you will have is hard limited by the woman's age. I know I can't talk you into broadening what you're attracted to. I'm a rule 9 and this is a woman's space, so I'll don't want to sound accusatory or anything since I don't know you or what you experience, but the men who are attracted to you are very likely your league. but men do prefer to shoot above their league in attractiveness. Waiting some number of years to date is arbitrary. It mentally excludes you from being open to interacting with someone who'd be fine for you. The Vice President (allegedly) fucks couches, there is someone out there willing to date you, even if they're not 100% the optimal 10/10 attractive man. I'm not a believer in cosmetic surgery in general, so waiting until that deadline to even start being open to date is putting a lot of pressure on something that might not solve all your problems.
/r/RedPillWomen26/01/26 11:36 PM

I've never heard of a man making fun of a woman for her age IRL, it just means fewer men would say yes to a date/ ask her out. There's upsides and downsides to being with anyone of any demographic. Older women are just less likely to be able to successfully have multiple kids if that's your goal. Guys who can do the math and want a large family will inherently be less interested, if a similar but younger woman was interested in him.

Rule 9 here. This is a personal value, which I'd suspect extends to a lot of guys, but pretty much as soon as a woman indicates "You're not what I want", the ego goes into protection mode, and feelings plummet to somewhere around zero. When the illusions in our head haven't been broken yet, it's easy to project the ideals of what we want on a woman, when our ideal doesn't like us, she's probably no longer our ideal. For me personally, the prospect of anything past that point would be over, no mo…

Your number 1 issue will be finding these men. Be where they are and put yourself in front of them. It is unlikely anyone here is one of them, so you'll have to do your own research on that front. Second issue is that you and nearly every other girl wants or is open to that type of man, so you'll have to be better than all of your competition. Be what they want, moreso than everyone else. Don't know for certain as I’ve never gone for those types. But, on the low end, it might be a woman who makes it easy. She comes over to his, they have good sex, then she leaves him alone until he calls again. On the high end, it could be stealing from target, getting drunk, having feral sex, forgetting to take her BPD meds and then slashing his tires when he looks at another woman. I don't know his type, but it's likely he has a "why settle for one when I can have both?" Mentality.

Manosphere content mostly appeals to the scorned man. These men aren't interacting with women beyond a revenge fantasy. The men you want will like women, and manosphere men don't like women. I'm sure I'm missing background but so far your description of a good guy worth approaching is physically attractive and he's worth keeping if he isn't tied up with exes. The type of men physically attractive enough to catch your eye without much other interaction probably have a lot of options. I commented on your last post, the jist of what I was trying to get across was that you should avoid learning the wrong lessons here, and that your "past" isn't really that bad. There will be some men who are bothered by your actions, don't date them. I understand not writing them an essay of your faults to be delivered upon first meeting, but I also don't think you should be revealing things "at the right time", unless you mean that the right time is when the conversation comes up. Anything else sounds like hiding shame.

Life is full of double-standards. We can choose to be obstinate and angry about it or accept it and play to our advantages. I've learned playing to your strengths is the wise thing to do, and I've had to learn a handful of painful lessons based on wrong assumptions myself. However you feel about it, men and women are judged by different standards of attractiveness, you won't meet 100% of them for every person. I think it's wise to look at what you want, and work backwards on how to get there. Wa…

Curious as to how you would manage this The easiest way is to pair up with someone similar; find someone who doesn't care because they're the same way. Lying or obfuscation is not a great way to enter into a relationship with a trustworthy partner. Goes the same way for both genders.

Whenever guys hear "in the past", it comes with a lot of cultural inertia. It invokes the voice of millions of women trying to gaslight men into thinking they should not consider their past as a predictor of what happens in the future when everyone knows that's the best data points to use. Bluntly, your "past" is somewhere between yellow and red flag, and your perception of "past" (you mentioned it's been a year in other comments) will not align with most men. I see this point a lot and while yes I'd agree that any man who comes straight out and asks it is likely to be trashy, most men will (especially ones looking for commitment) will be paying attention to clues, and trying to evaluate relationship style compatibility. While a trashy guy might ask "how many men have you slept with?" on date one, you should expect the relationship history conversation to occur relatively quickly with non-trashy commitment-minded men. I'm probably close to your "middle man". I wasn't single long, but were I looking, I wouldn't just ask women out unprompted. Being attracted isn't the issue, if you're attractive, they're probably attracted, the challenge is signaling you're wife material, which requires continuous exposure. I never made any claims about attraction vs relationship maintenance, frame or anything other than my original point. You're trying to argue points I'm not discussing. It's great you feel strongly about something, but I don't have the time to discuss the entirety of TRP's value in each specific social context. My point stands, those who have the information don't need to go looking for it. Women are inherently aware of this.
/r/RedPillWomen18/09/25 07:28 PM
5

TRP describes women's behavior and sexual preferences, and how to leverage that information to get what you want in your relationships. Men who are getting what they want already don't need that information. Men who already understand women's preferences don't need that information. TRP has plenty of factual and useful information, but men who label themselves as such are advertising they're the type of man who needed to go seek that information out from third parties, which is not desirable.
/r/RedPillWomen18/09/25 06:59 PM

Most women would find themselves quite happy to have these two issues as the most significant relationship "problems". Learn appreciation, try paying more heed to what he does for you, rather than what he doesn't do.

I have a sneaking suspicion any men on that list could find a replacement without needing guidance from TRP to do it.
/r/RedPillWomen18/09/25 06:41 PM

TRP for men is primarily a set of guidelines for getting what you want from women. Men who are already high value do not struggle with getting what they want, and thus don't need an ideology to help get what they already have. This is why most women, even RP women, are rightfully wary of RP men.

I can't really teach someone to lower their standards. Usually most people have a vague sense of where they stand and if they want it enough, will flex a bit on what they want / provide to even up the relationship. If you don't want anything from guys at your level, there's really no basis for a relationship. Guys above your level will likely never commit. Up to you to decide what you want and if it's worth working/ compromising for.

Compatibility is not a binary yes/no status you have with each person. Compatibility is mostly about attitude. The most important thing is to be with someone who shares your values around sex, make sure you are attracted to one another, and especially if you are inexperienced, be willing to share and receive feedback without getting defensive. It's not really that hard to integrate someone into your family and friends. Unless you're trying to keep the relationship a secret, you just bring him with you every so often. A high value man who values monogamy will lead the relationship with that as a core value of the relationship. If he expects your fidelity and does not offer his, you are a plate, not his other half.

Why would a man commit to any of them when he can get what he wants from all of them while saving the hassle? My recommendation would be to forget him, acknowledge you never won him, and to not compare future men to him.

What a man says is irrelevant, you're not looking hard enough at what he's doing. Men marry when they want something from a woman they can't get without marrying her. Usually this is some combination of kids/ sex/ domestic labor. Frankly speaking, you didn't offer anything (that he wants) that he can't get from someone else for less effort. You're barking up the wrong tree if you want marriage, pick someone at your level.

/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 11:47 PM

What happened to u/snoopydru?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 11:44 PM
3

Yeah. 18 and inexperienced is not the same as a 25 year old who has chosen to only have LTR's even if their count might be the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 06:48 PM
4

Same, but usually values and n-count will be heavily correlated. It's the question of would you rather have someone with an n-count of 3 but they were healthy relationships that ran their course, or someone who had a bad threesome and swore off sex since. Everyone wants someone with similar values, rather than trauma or bitterness. The number just happens to heavily correlate.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 06:46 PM
2

Men just have a wider distribution in ability to sleep with more people in general. If they have access, the values regarding sex would probably be less diverse.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 06:43 PM
2

Not them, no. The loss of their current partner would not spontaneously cause them to completely do a 180 in regards to their approach and value of sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 06:42 PM
2

Yes, actually. Most of my couple friends have been with their partners since college or earlier. All our friends know each other's entire dating history, and those with similar values tend to spend more time together.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 05:20 AM

IRL people tend to date and marry people with the same attitudes surrounding sex. Higher value low n women are usually with higher value (voluntarily) low n men. Sluts are with sluts, prudes are with prudes, monogamous people tend to identify and stay with each other. I don't know any "reserved" women who would tolerate "player" types of dudes, much less marry them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/25 09:46 PM

You just described any imbalanced power dynamic. Real life example of this: Pitch to a potential investor. You and investor consent to meet. You pitch the idea and let them mull over investing. They have the power to invest or not. The money can change the fate of the company and the founders. Of course this is reasonable. Both parties consented to the interaction, understand the stakes, and hopefully did their due diligence. Based off an assessment of the company/ idea, the investor is expected…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/12/24 12:03 AM

This seems divorced from real life. Where are you finding these women who are moving in with guys and then demanding they entertain them? Manosphere content creators?

Surely I don't need to waste our time explaining to you how gargantuan of a leap that assertion is, and how badly it doesn't track.

That's weird, bro. That's not normal. Jealousy is normal. I've talked to IRL and read posts about women who get the ick if their partner isn't jealous/ protective of them, there's a million examples. If the thought or sight of your partner kissing someone else doesn't trigger a jealous reaction, congratulations for your fortitude, but most do not share it. Mate guarding behavior is as old as time and is not limited to either gender. I'm in pretty sexually conservative circles (not politically/ r…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/24 06:31 PM

This isn't remotely limited to men. I kissed another girl prior to dating my wife and 15 years later she's still salty about it. Women tend to ask and overshare on these topics. I actively try to not learn details about other people's sex lives and somehow it still slips out, usually directly from the woman or from her friends. Over time when you're with someone, you eventually start to piece the information together into a more coherent picture. Pretending the info doesn't come out for argument…

I think the only case where a woman's n-count genuinely doesn't matter to a guy is when she treats a non-Chad like Chad. Doubly so if you're the only guy she's treated that way. She's been with 12 dudes but you're the only one she initiates often with, is willing to try new things with and overall you can barely keep up with her? Not many guys are going to rock that boat. She's been in active hot and heavy relationships with 2 other guys and she's a passive starfish with you? Different story.

Maybe this is just another benefit of the doubt thing, but I don't buy that sane people just have a bad day and resort to insulting their spouse. I've had bad days and never is my response to lash out with random insults at my wife. That was likely just what she actually thought slipping out. but come on, the idea of “the appearance of XYZ being true can be almost just as bad as XYZ actually being true” is not some evil woman exclusive phenomenon. This type of thinking works for people who only …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 10:33 PM

Yeah I have no sage wisdom for that other than practice and fake it. Practice can be on real girls or it can be learning/ copying what other people do, real or fictional. Fake it can be making up a whole persona and just doing what you think the persona should do if the normal "you" would be too awkward. That was my go-to.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 10:26 PM

I'm purple pill, but I think that's my optimistic male pov hoping women think how I do. Whenever I actually talk to women about their preferences I'm more and more convinced that is not the case.

Honestly you're not unattractive. Your profile is probably fine as is to get enough matches. Working on your banter is probably more worthwhile than trying to get the perfect set of photos.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 10:08 PM

People who use them, feel free to correct me but I'd guess the photos are 98% of what people look at on apps, so having a few locations are good, but painting more of a picture of "I do ___" seems to work well. 4ptTakedown as an example. /r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:21 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:19 PM

That's where I'm lost. Imagine if the genders were reversed.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:17 PM

I'm trying not to make any extra assumptions about the post. I don't have any other info about their relationship/ working dynamics so I won't comment on it. I'm not sure how you know that this guy isn't spending time with his wife when she's home from work or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:16 PM

Personally I agree, but looking at it from a higher level, what's the threshold of success you have to achieve before you're allowed to just do what you want to relax for a few months? I doubt many here have done the startup thing, I only did it for a few years. 15 years of it would be incredibly draining, I can easily imagine someone recently retiring just wanting to recapture some of the lazing around they missed out on, even if just for a short period of time.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:14 PM

You're a multimillionaire?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:11 PM

For me it's the disrespect/ entitlement aspect that makes it seem like a big deal. I can imagine scenarios in which the behavior would be frustrating, but I can't imagine a scenario in which she would not address how the behavior makes her feel before jumping to insults.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:11 PM

The OP cited "healthcare" as a reason why, but I can't imagine that she absolutely has to keep working lest the face homelessness or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:10 PM

I'm trying to avoid assumptions outside the scope of what I know but I hadn't even considered the fact that she likely has a couple months each year she's not working and that's why they can go on those summer vacations. Her idea of free time hobbies is to just enjoy the stuff he's paying for.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:09 PM

The "if I were ___" arguments don't hold much water for me. You didn't do the things to get to the point of that level of success. It often comes with burnout, you cannot rationally make the claim of what you'd do because you never have been there nor will put in the work required to get there.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:07 PM

That's my argument. He already toiled. If you build and sell your own company in the span of 15 years, and that's not enough to earn the mundane entertainment of your choice for a winter, what is?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 09:05 PM

So it's an image/ looks issue. If he adopted a different kind of look for his entertainment it'd be okay.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 07:53 PM

I understand how she might feel, but does that feeling make her right? Is he a loser?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 07:52 PM

The dude's 41 and had been building a company for 15 years. He likely recently sold it. In what way is calling your husband who bought and takes care of your house, has $2M in liquid assets, makes $125k a year a loser after he just sold his company and likely wants a bit of a breather tough love?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 07:50 PM

My hypothetical is the woman comes as they are. I don't know the dude's requirements but for argument's sake say he's looking for someone around as attractive and probably doesn't care how much she makes, but most women in that age range will be making about the same amount.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 07:47 PM

train - verb teach (a person or animal) a particular skill or type of behavior through practice and instruction over a period of time. Intellectually capable people learn from experiences and adapt their behavior to match. Every time you do anything, and the situation doesn't go 100% how you want it to, you refine behavior for a better outcome. "Train" is the correct verb here, regardless of your personal feelings.

If she makes you work for it more than other guys, she either is less sexually attracted to you than other guy, or doesn't understand what men are looking for. Either case is undesirable.

I've been in my relationship for 14+ years and have mostly couple friends. If I had to make a stereotype about people, it's that they tend to pick someone as close to them as possible. Low n-count girls marry low n-count guys. Higher earners marry like. People with similar emotionality tend to gravitate together. Everything else on OP's seems like traits in people who won't be able to secure an LTR. I will say that if I was single I'd probably live in a box van to save rent. That one might be tr…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 10:34 PM

Man we gotta find you a wingman. If you have any willing lady friends, see if they'll let you practice fake flirting with them for a few minutes or something and make her tell you every time she'd get the ick and why.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 10:31 PM

He's just like us
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 10:26 PM

I mean this in the nicest, least judgmental way, but do you have a touch of the 'tism? "I knew you weren't going to ghost me 😉" sounds at best anxious, at worst could be misconstrued as passive aggressive. I get the nervousness but you don't gotta let her know you're nervous.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 10:25 PM

If you did nothing other than ask her questions and then respond to everything with "Oh yeah 😏...?" you'd be doing better than "please don't ghost me"

There's plenty of smart people in PPD. Most everyone here has something of value to offer, and if they don't, it's obvious. I don't know if you consider it social media, but I consume most of my info through YouTube and just by nature of the quality of people I'm listening to, I have access to better info than most. Dismissing information because the same source hosts incorrect information is shortsighted. It just means you have to know how to filter and vet information.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 10:14 PM

You gotta do better than ChatGPT in your texting flirt game. That would have been sub-ChatGPT.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 10:07 PM

Do not say that
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 10:02 PM

What? You don't have to consume the trash to find good information? There's thousands of hours or five nights at freddy's slop on youtube, there's also thousands of hours of really good history content. If I'm interested in learning how to read a webpage in Python I don't first need to look up Jake Paul, I just search for what I want? You don't have to consume all the garbage before you're allowed to get to the good stuff. Just use the good and ignore the bad. It's not rocket science to figure o…

I went to a state school and had friends at more prestigious schools and noticed the same. State schools seem to be concentrated with decently smart people who are just there to get what they need and do stuff with it. Fancier schools seem to have a lot of people there for the prestige.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 09:22 PM

You have to actually be interested in the topics to learn about it. I like listening to society/ engineering/ history/ military/ political YouTube whenever I'm doing a brainless task like dog walk, cleaning, or less brain intensive things at work. /r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 09:08 PM

The more you train a person how to plan, budget and make good decisions, the less impulsive decisions they make. It's hard to have an unplanned pregnancy if you know how babies are made, don't want to be pregnant right now, and don't have someone overriding that decision.

I'm still in NAWALT camp, even when it comes to this kind of stuff. A lot of PPD women, especially in the main threads just have a stick up their ass because they spend as much time here as their male counterparts and both genders will hate each other after a while. IRL women seem to "get it" more. It probably could have been 250 if the authors made the tables smaller.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 09:57 PM

This implies that you only value a woman based on the fact that there were no other guys. Yes, this is obvious, it is what most guys here say. Her having sex with other men offers me no benefits, and instead offers several downsides. Why would I value something with no benefits and several downsides? Women are both godesses and Goddesses. I guess this answers my joke question. Still wonder how goddesses can't just raise their own value, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 12:55 AM

Either way, that seems to mirror both the CDC's data and the original claim.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 12:16 AM

I think I'm gonna make a salad for dinner
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 12:09 AM

The CDC has stated that 43.8% of lesbian women reported experiencing physical violence, stalking, or rape by their partners. The study notes that, out of those 43.8%, two thirds (67.4%) reported exclusively female perpetrators. Huh, so about the same or just slightly higher than the estimated amount for straight couples.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 12:02 AM

Aren't woman-woman relationships some of the highest in terms of DV cases?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 11:54 PM

Too black and white. If you're asking "is all killing evil", the answer is obviously no. There's the obvious case of "some dude breaks into my house and threatens to kill my wife, child and me, is it moral to defend yourself?". If you cede that killing the invader is justified because it prevents a worse act from being committed, then it's just a value judgement of where you draw the line, and which acts you're personally willing to tolerate being done. Used to be Christian.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 11:53 PM

I'm confused, are women goddesses or are they Queens? And why would I leave a woman who has only had sex with me? I value girls I like having sex with me and not having sex with other men. I like her, she has sex with me and no one else. No one ever claimed a woman having sex with them lowers their value to themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 11:49 PM

If women are goddesses, how come they don't have the power to raise their value back up?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 11:37 PM

She was 16 when we started dating, a late bloomer for any of that stuff, and very fearful of both unintended pregnancy as well as going out and getting birth control/ the conversations that would bring up with her parents.

It's probably demographic dependent. You know my background, completely straight is a little boring, but if I'm honest long wavy/ flowy is what would catch my eye.

I was more hoping it was an ad for a guy named Jesús who gets you off when you call the number, releasing you of your lust.

It's best we don't spoil her view of women. Let her have that, at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 05:18 AM

You sound like the Jesus billboards in town. "Shackled by LUST? Jesus sets you free! Call 855-FOR-TRUTH" Oh, and then on the other side is an ad for a strip club (not kidding).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 05:11 AM

I had this scenario recently (not with MIL). My name is not a good name to give our kid, she's right.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 04:56 AM

Yeah, I mean it sounds like you're using your best judgement. If she's not interested, she's not interested. Operate under the assumption that it won't escalate and make sure you're getting what you want out of a platonic friendship. If a girl doesn't show much more than lukewarm interest, pushing it into a relationship is going to feel like peeling your own skin to try to get anything out of it. Improve looks, meet new people, learn how to talk to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 11:25 PM

Practice lying. Casually mention it's good you can't get a word in since after you watched that guy die last week you're really looking forward to not having to talk much. Refuse to elaborate further.

She has also told me several times that she doesn't date friends. Sounds like she might not understand social cues and I'd if she doesn't consider those she dates as friends she might pick bad men. I don't know a lot about this girl other than what you've told me, but you might be pedestalizing her.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 10:45 PM

People are hopefully friends with those they date, but "not wanting to ruin that bond" does sound like "don't push it". Having female friends isn't a bad thing, at least. It's social proof.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 10:13 PM

If it's public knowledge you like her and she hasn't explicitly told you she's not interested, I would be astounded if giving you a key to her place was not some sort of a signal.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 10:06 PM

Bizarre. Only way I'd give a key to someone is if I'm legally bound to them or if they're a trusted neighbor and I'm out of town.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 10:02 PM

Bonus points if you find a good place, tip well and go there to the point where they recognize you and then wingman for you.

Exactly. Get your stupidity out somewhere where it doesn't matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 09:46 PM

As the holidays get closer, I think it's time to appreciate the unsung value of spending time with people you don't really like. I feel like you can be the most socially experimental with people you don't really care about. I've honed a lot of my humor and story-telling on dumb family members so by the time I use it on people I actually want to see I have the delivery down.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 09:37 PM

How do you get to the point where she knows you like her, doesn't reciprocate, and gives you a key to her place? Is your flirting so bad that she doesn't know you like her, or are you bad at reading signals and she wants you to make a move?

/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 10:25 PM

I know a few bi/ lesbian friends who didn't know they were gay when they dated men, and the common theme is that women are way harder to date. Gotta get Parfait's input on this if she has any data points.

I'd make me and my immediate family's life comfortable, but do my best to keep them out of the spotlight. Immense wealth is a spotlight, and anyone else doesn't deserve the wealthy anyway. As much as I'd like to claim I'd set up a stable democracy or something, democracies are at the whim of the people, and well... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFgcqB8-AxE&ab_channel=Kazwire
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 10:16 PM

Don't know about all of them, but when you just put a woman in the room, men tone down the stupid rhetoric to avoid ostracization. Many men don't have a woman in the room. Give a dude access to sex and tell him all he has to do is be chill to keep said access, unless he's regarded, he'll probably be chill appreciate the companionship.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 10:04 PM

If you believe that, that speaks more to your misogyny than men's.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 10:02 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:25 PM

It's a parental failing, imo. It's more common in women since it's not really acceptable to pamper males past the age of ~9. Don't think your sexuality has much to do with it, you just have a few brain cells to rub together to ponder the significance of things like materialism.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:22 PM

Reusable bags are $1 from the store. $3 for a nice one. Is she stupid?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/24 09:19 PM

The original object of the statement was women who favor protectionism in men, not men seeking women they think need guarding from other men. Men prefer to commit to women who they perceive as being less difficult to keep. It's just common sense that a woman who has a history of having many partners is less likely to be on her last.

Why is a man even dating a woman who easily opens herself up to other men? That's.... my point? I think we're in agreement, you just got there via a different route.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 12:29 AM

Being "protective" is almost always an act of guarding her from other men, which is made a lot easier when she doesn't have a habit of being open to sexual interactions with many men. "Protective" doesn't mean jealous, but many of the behaviors that drive those actions are synonymous. That's nice that you appreciate protective men, but protective men tend to prefer women who make that job simple. Also, obligatory callback to my other comment here today because you quoted me nearly 1 for 1.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 12:13 AM

My favorite double think is the women who prefer their men to be "protective" of them, (showing guarding behaviors/ jealousy) and also claim that none of the men they date care about their count.

Instead of men just saying "Men with options prefer to date low-n women" and women saying "You're wrong, my bf doesn't care <3 !!", we turn the thread into a search for the wikipedia page with the most letter n's. I guess I'm confused. Men should increase their amount of investment they put into parenting before they've been selected by a woman and given the opportunity to be a parent? How are men supposed to get picked and have kids to demonstrate that value if women are the ones doing the selection, and they're selecting for the things they currently are?

People are just louder about their opinion online where there's fewer social consequences. The opinions are still the same IRL, they just are more subtle about how they get the information. Of course it doesn't matter to every guy, but to the ones that it does, the conversation rarely comes up because they make a guess. If they guess its high and they're still talking to you, you're "recreational use" and you don't know it yet. This happens all the time because the low commitment high-n guys ten…

I don't think I'd call myself a blue-piller but I do think the friends -> dating relationships tend to be more robust if you're long term minded. There is no romantic relationship without attraction, and you can grow to be friends with someone you started dating out of physical attraction first. The order in which you became friends probably doesn't matter in the long run, but it's not crazy to say that if you don't like spending time with someone in a non-sexual context, the relationship probab…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:20 PM

Not likely they thought that at all. The vast majority of people who get divorced were struggling to rub their two brain cells together before they got married, and they're likely on divorce #3. Thinking before you act is the skill that helps keep a marriage together.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:15 PM

Lol, this isn't a case of "maybe it'll rain". This hypothetical scenario is one that you control at every step of the way. This is like a 4-step process with poor decisions the whole way to get there.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:12 PM

I'm confused about why you're worried about such a niche, unlikely problem that can be entirely solved or avoided with decisions that would cost you hardly anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:07 PM

I guess I'm confused as to why you'd plan to have kids with a guy you plan to divorce you and control you with the kids. There's several layers of bad decision making to get to that point that can be easily avoided at any step.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 10:58 PM

I don't know her history or where she found her two previous boyfriends, but you can't really infiltrate the religious group as an outsider at 27-30 and expect to fit in and find a husband immediately. Sounds like an early mid-life crisis. Guys don't want to commit to someone in that level of panic. Accept that your dating market isn't the same as an early 20's girl and…

Fashion tends to follow the generation. Looking to an older generation doesn't make a lot of sense to predict fashion trends, because their trends follow them.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 06:36 AM

The demographic seems to be pretty evenly split, actually. Women and extroverts probably have more fun.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 03:51 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 03:50 AM

Worth it is up to your interpretation. Dancing isn't my thing so that's not even on my radar as something people could enjoy but that's just a me problem
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 03:49 AM

That's more of a woman thing but sure I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 03:48 AM

Indeed the untz untz ones
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 03:47 AM

I need data points to settle an argument. For those of you who go to or have been to clubs, what percentage of the time would you say it was "worth it". Worth it meaning there's people there you want to meet/ interact with/ bang and you were successful, versus it being a sausage fest or lame or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 03:03 AM

You don't need luck

Someone's gotta do the dirty jobs
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 02:36 AM

If you spend a lot of time together, especially when you're younger, it's pretty easy to infer. My relationship is an extreme where we were both kids so we know we're both 1, but if you're hanging out in college and share a friend group, word gets around. If you've never met each other until you're 30, you'll eventually find out but it will take time.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/24 01:14 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/24 03:46 AM

Yeah, aunt in law. She's nuts.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/24 03:44 AM

A lot of women are in to virtual signaling, which this and 4b stuff essentially boils down to. Relationship martyrdom to show how committed they are to the cause. A chat with the girls isn't a big enough audience for that martyrdom hit.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/24 12:16 AM

I guess I lump RMV stuff in with rule 1 since it's attractive, but yes it is more nuanced than that. Women don't like cheaters as far as RMV goes, but understand that sexlessness leads to that outcome.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/24 12:12 AM

Anyone recording and posting their own breakup as content is going to be a certain threshold of vain and psychopathic, so I wouldn't read into it too much. That said, I do think couples should politically align, especially if you intend to raise kids. A difference in values on that front is a huge point of marital friction.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/24 12:04 AM

Seems to mostly overlap with other standard principles of attraction. Passive dread is just following Rule #1 and 2, active dread is just showing that if you wanted, you can get what you want elsewhere?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 11:56 PM

Yeah, it seems like it's mostly a tool to repair a DB with some other common sense "be attractive" points that you'd hear anywhere else.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 11:35 PM

I guess I've always had a lot of female friends so maybe I'm not calibrated. I've got a lot of couple friends, though and couple friends seem to have other couple friends. Not sure how much distance is an arm's length but interactions seem to be in a group.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 11:33 PM

I feel like that's the default for most normal people with opposite gender friends, though
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 11:26 PM

Ah, so rather than just jealousy existing, you're wielding it as a semi-manipulation tactic
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 11:24 PM

“Dread” is putting the fear or ‘dread’ in your wife that you have other opportunities and other options rather than being chained to her whims. They HATE it- or at least they will TELL you they hate it- but women are irresistibly attracted to men who have options. This is well known as "Secondary Selection" or "Pre-selection Bias." I think my wife's got a case of this

N-count is a symptom of behaviors and attitudes toward sex. Between two people who view sex should only happen in the context of a monogamous committed relationship, someone with 3 and someone with 5 would be a good fit if they've only had it with medium/ LTRs. If that same person with a count of 5 meets a person with 7 who had half of their encounters as a spontaneous ONS, they're far less likely to be on the same page about sex, even though their counts aren't too far off. You do not get to hi…

Whether you agree or not is irrelevant. No man without a cuck fetish values a woman more for having had sex with more men. Given the option of two identical women in every way except one woman has slept around a lot and the other hasn't, for a long term monogamous relationship, dudes will pick the perceived safer option every time. We can get into bs like paternity certainty, cheating statistics, but it doesn't really matter because there's no downsides to a lower n-count, and there are plenty t…

You can't prove a negative. People say "I've changed" and have changed, people say "I've changed" and have not changed. The only way to know is to accept that risk. People with a lot to lose do not accept big risks like that. If fidelity is critical for you, and you have optionality, it would be insane to pick the person with a sketchy past and "has changed" over the person with a tame past, given all else equal.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/24 10:19 PM

If a man has options he will chose the woman who has sex with just him early, and not anybody else.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/24 10:15 PM

This ignores that past predicts future. Whether you study weather patterns or someone's sexual habits, what has happened in the past points to whats likely to happen again. History of cheating? You'll probably get cheated on. History of DB after 6 months? Expect DB in 6 months.

I don't see a lot of anger as the response to that threat.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 11:09 PM

You're missing the point. If someone's not getting something, threatening to take it away and shoot yourself in the foot just boils down to "the person threatening me is going to shoot themself in the foot, lol"
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 11:08 PM

I can't understand it I know
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 11:06 PM

I don't think democrats have anyone currently, and that's kind of the point. I'd like to see less top down authority when picking a candidate. They tried to run Hillary in 2008 and she lost because Obama had a great grassroots campaign and he did a good job at speaking to the American public. If they keep trying to run corpo candidates, they shouldn't be surprised when working class people aren't interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 11:06 PM

You can't threaten to take away something people don't already have. Dude's getting passed over are probably pleased at the idea of the women not having sex with them also abstaining.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 11:01 PM

It's more indicative of other reasons/ beliefs why you wouldn't want to be close to them. Support for Trump is usually a symptom of a lot of other things I can understand not wanting to be a part of.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 10:54 PM

I love the irony of women reducing themselves to men's sex objects for them to "earn" because people hundreds or thousands of miles away voted a particular way.

Those and environmental voters who either abstained or voted for Green party.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 10:48 PM

IMO Harris was a more compelling candidate than Hillary was, Trump is a less compelling candidate compared to 2016, and yet Harris did worse than Hillary. Democrats are tired of being assigned a candidate. DNC leadership shot down Bernie when he was gaining traction to run Hillary and she lost. Biden was unenthusiastically elected because DNC needed someone milquetoast to run, and Harris was a continuation of the theme of having our candidate selected for us. Not wanting Trump in office is a pow…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 10:46 PM

He's right. I'm still pissed they snubbed Bernie in 2016 to run Hillary. DNC treats voters like they're blind. We can smell when a candidate has been purchased.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 10:38 PM

You are correct. Couples often share values/ morals. The conservative couples will continue doing their thing and pumping out Catholic/ Evangelical kids. If liberal women actually had the coordination to sex/ relationship strike en masse (which I highly doubt they'll commit to), they would just drive the men closest to them away, and fail to pass on their values to the kids they're not having. Religious nutjobs will inherit the country be default due to social darwinism.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 10:12 PM

Can threaten? I voted for Harris. This isn't a "this election" problem. This is an issue the democrats have had since Obama left office. Democrats suck at marketing themselves to anyone other than LGBT folks and minority women. It's not enough, the platform needs to become more appealing.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 10:06 PM

Good thing white men aren't the #1 or #2 largest voting demographic in the US. I'm sure alienating them won't come back to bite us.

Yeah this takes me back to my church days and my gripes with the forgiveness and letting go sermons. There is always an objective and subjective truth to everything, both matter but to what extent is debatable. I always had disagreements with the line of thinking that if you and god forgive yourself, you're in the clear, which put me at odds with a handful of people when I disagreed. Even if god forgives you, we're not god, and we still have to deal with the consequences. I got to deal with many…

Without more context I'm only grasping at straws, so I don't know what the source of your conflict is. If you seem satisfied the source of your conflict and anger is not your past, I guess I'm confused as to why you made a post asking if it's about your past. Again, I don't know the context of your relationship, but if you just flat out have anger issues and he's not doing anything or judging you in any way, then it seems anger management resources would be more appropriate?

I'm getting into the realm of value judgement and speculation about a guy I don't know, but the past always matters for a few reasons: We are a product of our experiences, the core of who we are doesn't change dramatically after we're fully grown. We might learn lessons and do things differently, but the driving forces that led us to do what we do never really goes away except in time, and you're young. You're extrapolating beyond the point of the example, the what if's aren't relevant to the discussion. I understand people like to be helpful, and I apparently didn't make it clear enough in my example, but I was intending to illustrate an opportunity where instead of showing criticism for someone else's way of doing things a way you view as suboptimal, to instead show appreciation for them taking a responsibility off your plate. If you don't like that particular example given my description, I'…

Agreed, the original point I was trying to make boils down to "don't sweat the small stuff, and foster positive interactions". Many folks here seem to pick out the negative and get defensive when confronted with this, which I'll admit I enjoy the irony of. A lot of positive interactions will make your partner feel like you're on their side. When they feel that way, it's easy to communicate these types of things without getting defensive, and when the bad things do happen, drowning them with all …

Because the topic isn't "what does a completely one sided dom/ sub relationship look like". It's asking for an example. A single person can submit in some aspects and retain control in others.

I'd agree that most men have sensitive egos, especially younger unproven guys, but this just kind of makes intuitive sense. If someone who feels insecure is getting reprimanded from their "equal" partner, they'll probably respond negatively. I'm just making the case that positive interactions do a better job of paving the way to getting what you want rather than punishing ones. It reminds me of the "emotional bank account" idea. An easy way to make a positive interaction, and reinforce behavior …

I can't speak for every man since I don't know what kind of men y'all are picking, but most men as many of the women here so kindly pointed out are usually open to hearing suggestions that will improve your lives. I don't know many that will be terribly annoyed by "oh, I think that way is faster", or immediately jump to casting blame for missing a turn or something. There are certainly guys with emotional regulation problems, but they're in the minority, and you don't have to pick them.

Then you responded incorrectly. The "Feed" in the metaphor is favors, and taking on responsibilities. I would wager every man in a halfway decent relationship does some form of favor for his partner, and takes on a share of the responsibilities.

I am aware of how modern society works. "Don't bite the hand the feeds" is a metaphor, do not take it literally. Perhaps you're not a native English speaker or they don't use it outside the US? The metaphor means don't punish people for doing things that benefit you. If someone does something nice, you say "thanks" and they'll go on to do more nice things for you. If you belittle or criticize them for not doing the favor exactly to your liking, they are much less likely to do the favor for you a…

though if it was something i really really cared about i would just do it on my own You can still have a relationship of equals and "submit" in certain areas of your relationship. I've already made the case in other comments, but in my relationship, I handle everything kitchen related. I don't like the level of cleanliness my wife tolerates. People get triggered and confused when they see the word "submission". It automatically paints a picture of some oppressed Mormon woman or something and while that's certainly a flavor of it, it's an extreme that does a disservice to the underlying idea. You can have an equal partnership and still submit. Just as the woman in my example submitted her control over the vehicle, the man can submit in other areas in their relationship. You just have to map out what your specific relationship looks l…

At the crux of it, men are 1000x more likely to give you what you want if they like you and perceive being rewarded for it. Men crave female validation, doling it out appropriately is a skill the vast majority of women have not mastered. It can be scary letting aspects of your life be controlled by another person, but if you're with someone competent who likes you, then they have the same motivations as you and a track record of getting things done. It's okay to trust them

If you equate 5 minutes sitting with your partner to be equivalent to "continually falling on your face", I'd be sorry for your partner. The point was about not sweating the small stuff, and instead of making frequent small negative interactions, focus instead on appreciating that they're doing something for you and removing a responsibility. At work, even if I might be able to do something slightly faster or better than my co-workers, I'm still happy to delegate and "submit" the responsibility …

You're* And no. It's about showing respect and appreciation. It's having the respect and trust for your partner that they will take the correct actions without treating them like a child and managing them. "Submitting" is often framed in the context of "I want an unequal partner who will do whatever I say", but it can go both ways. Just as a man might not want to be managed in the way he does something like drive to your shared destination, he can relinquish control and submit in other aspect of…

The definition of submit is to "accept or yield to a superior force or to the authority or will of another person". It is to accept that you do not have influence over something someone else is doing, rather than try to influence it. I chose driving as my example because "submitting" is pretty much the metaphorical acceptance of another person behind the wheel. You can try to fight it and try to take over or you can submit to what they're doing and say "thanks for driving, I appreciate not havin…

When men say submission, most of them are talking about a woman who is agreeable and trusts him to make good decisions and wants to please him Exactly, it's the "do not bite the hand that feeds" principle. If a woman makes it pleasant for her man to take charge, get things done and do things for her, he will do it more often. If she punishes him doing favors for her by nagging, criticizing, etc, she will not encourage the behavior she wants, but rather discourage him from interacting with her. N…

The most basic way is to not give unsolicited input and to accept his decisions, even if the woman doesn't agree 100% with it. A small example; the man takes what you perceive is a wrong way, taking an extra 5 minutes to get to your destination. Instead of attempting to correct him, you keep your opinion to yourself and thank him for driving. If a woman makes it pleasant for her man to do things for her, he will do it more often. This often means you will have to give up micromanaging him or "su…

"Preselection" is just a word to summarize "If someone else likes him, I should take a closer look". It contextualizes a guy. If the reason you were selected isn't obvious, a woman is more likely to take a closer look to find it. If the reason they like you is obvious (looks), then it gives the woman status to claim you. Anecdotally, I had crushed on the girl who is now my wife for a few years, gave up with her, dated someone else, and as soon as I broke up with the other girl the now wife swoop…

Ultimately, companies and their writers have the authority to kill whatever IP they want to be inserting their short lived values into it. We can be grumpy about it, or we can continue enjoying the good things from it while we wait for the next good thing. It just makes it easier to save money in the meantime. I used to love Star Wars and Disney pretty much killed it for me. I was bummed about it for a while, but then I got into BattleTech stuff since I wanted a new good sci-fi IP to dig into. T…

I mentioned this to Serpent, but yeah in general gaming has pulled the Disney move of shoving "the message" down your throat, but ultimately the problem fixes itself. We don't buy games we don't like, we do buy the games we do like. Stuff like Concord and Outlaws lose money, stuff like Helldivers and Baldur's Gate make loads of money. When media companies lecture their players, they spend their money elsewhere, the problem fixes itself as soon as the shareholders get tired of losing money.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/24 11:19 PM
1

And then they die out because people stop buying them. We can complain about the insertion of certain values down our throat all day, but ultimately it only matters if enough people buy it, which they largely aren't. Two example games have inclusivity in them: Mass Effect and Concord, which one feels like its forcing "the message" down your throat? Which one isn't making any money, and is causing its studio to go under? The problem corrects itself, no need to ignore all the good stuff that's out…

I'm floating two conversations here so I'm repeating myself a bit, but it's also a byproduct of who's playing what genres. Straight dudes are usually playing action adventures games where there's not much social decisions to be made and more shooting at stuff to be done. Women tend to more frequently play games where there's less of a competitive element and more social dynamics to explore. Their romance options show up in games like Stardew Valley/ The Sims, etc, and there's straight options th…

Action adventure games tend to appeal less to women in general, so it's natural they'd more frequently feature male protagonists. Straight female protagonists will be more rare just due to market dynamics. Male players want to romance women, news at 11? Games where women are more likely to play tend to have more diverse social interaction options. I've seen loads of women play games like the sims, harvest moon, hell I've seen animal crossing crushes, and they usually feature romance options, str…

Because half or more of games that feature romance at all probably tend to be RPGs, which is why it's so easy to name them. Games with a linear story tend to be more infrequently targeted at female players, so they will less frequently go with a female-only protagonist to begin with, reducing your sample size.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/24 10:48 PM

Missed that, got it now. Seems like cherry picking to discount the genre where the most and the best romance writing takes place though.

Ah, missed the discounted RPGs. RPG's tend to have the better romance stories so it seems odd to leave them out of the equation. Mass Effect, Larian Studios stuff (Baldur's Gate) and Fire Emblem Three Houses have some of the best romance stories out there. It seems disingenuous to formulate a hypothesis but where most of your data points will come from.

This is where people need to get over fear of rejection, and gain some skill in not applying pressure. I'm not advocating for a loveless marriage, I'm just saying people should shift their priorities from feeling as #1 to the pragmatic things as #1. As long as both parties treat each other with respect, it is a lot easier for love to thrive in a household where you're not stressed about the things if we have enough money, if he's gambling, looking at insta girls, if she's talking to other guys, if she's spending way more than she should, etc. I love my wife, but there's no "we're soulmates", on t…

/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 04:22 PM

I've witnessed a lot of marriages, both good and bad. Most of the ones that end are ones with lots of feelings and a nebulous purpose. The relationships that last tend to have both parties making a shared plan and acting on it. The hard part of life is managing a household and potentially raising kids. Any illusions you have of a person get shattered as soon as money becomes an issue. If money is handled and both parties are pragmatic, it is a lot easier to be happy.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 04:20 PM

Soulmates is a hollywood/ teenager thing. People who believe in that crap past age 21 get preyed upon until they're 40, single and with two kids. Adult relationships are mostly pragmatism with sex thrown in. The best thing you can do for yourself is to be attracted to the most stable/ successful single dude you can identify and be the type of person the stable type of guy wants to marry.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 03:56 PM

I think we're settling on one but we're keeping it a secret. No one in our social circle-adjacent is pregnant (yet, some friends might be trying now), but we're superstitious that if we put it out there the name will be taken by someone we know. I realize that rationale makes no sense, but we have to prepare for things not making sense anyway.

"Looking busy" is probably a negative skill to learn, but sucking up/ schmoozing is a great skill to have. It's so easy to get on someone's good side early when little is expected of you, and after you're on their good side it's so hard to mess up.

Short answer is no, but you're not helping yourself. You're not more likely to be assaulted because of reputation, but you might be likely to be assaulted because you tend to put yourself in more dangerous situations. Being alone with men you don't know can be an inherently dangerous activity, if you're putting yourself in situations where you're alone with many different men, you're more likely to end up in a bad spot compared to women who don't do that. While they might physically be closer to you, unless you're able to peer into their soul and determine immediately if they have your two most specific asks; a finance background and a trust fund, you will still have to filter through hundreds of men. While figuring out of they're in finance might not take too long, not many guys won't disclose if they have a trust or not, and if you're asking they might assume you're a gold digger/ not marriage material. It will take time to filter through that.

For fun and for scale, let's see how likely it is you'll find someone who meets your criteria: - Likelihood of finding an unmarried men, aged 20-40, at least 5'10", not obese and making at least $75k since I assume you want an employed guy: 2% - Finding a man in finance: 4137930 people in the US, or 5.5% of working men. - Finding a man …

I got through college on a 2008 Honda Rebel 250. I got it with 800 miles on it for $2300. It had 11.5 horsepower, and the 1/2 actually mattered. I didn't get a smartphone until after I had a job.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 11:11 PM

You're describing a less than 1/1000 statistic. Unless you're already hanging out with finance people, probably not. Are you a 1/1000 kind of girl?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 11:08 PM

Allegedly he does it "privately" and doesn't have a lawyer/ contract. Place your bets.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 09:40 PM

Courts can order tests, the state LOVES to establish paternity.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 09:34 PM

Lol, PPD should start a betting pool for how long it'll take until you start owing child support. My money's on early 2025.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 09:31 PM

You do it privately? Do you have a lawyer?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 09:29 PM

Doesn't the state limit how much one person can donate so you don't accidentally have siblings that grow up, meet and bang, while not knowing they're half siblings?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 09:25 PM

Yeah, it's not some safe room. If your body detects something wrong, it's happy to flush it down, though usually after the first 10-12 weeks you're in the clear.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 09:22 PM

The wall’s not really real. If they want a kid or want a man who might want kids it definitely is. Unless you're going for a shotgun wedding, and don't want the option to have more than 1-2 kids, 30-32 is pretty much the last call for finding a partner and having enough time to vet the dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 08:08 PM

You can’t have sex until you’re married Lol, this was not my experience with Christianity/ Christians. I guess I don't know your religion, though.

Yeah, I stand by what I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 07:50 PM

We’ve revisited our discussions about life goals and money and retirement several times during our marriage. This is not the same thing as planning your divorce strategy. Every marriage with literate occupants have these discussions regularly, but I haven't seen many that continue to paint a picture of what separation looks like until separation looks likely. And regarding your friend, I presume she's initiating the divorce. Will doing so put her at risk of homelessness, or some other form of ri…

I could have outdated information, but I don't believe women have the ability to spontaneously die after being subdued.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 06:30 PM

I'll hold my opinion of religious folk's values, but my wife and I had enough time to vet each other and know what our actual values were. I won't pretend to be knowledgeable enough to advise others on how to see through the rose-tinted glasses, but meeting young and having lots of time prior to marriage really helped in my case.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 06:23 PM

Some people just want to be married, even if it's at the expense of having a good marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 06:16 PM

Life is dynamic. My marriage is young and it's already 5 years old. Any plans I would have made prior to it would have been obsolete within a few years. You said you and your husband had a conversation before marriage. 17 years later, how much of it is still relevant? A marriage comes with a legal framework for a lot of this stuff already. If it becomes relevant, you use the framework you've agreed to, this can include a prenup if you married older. You can formulate a plan for this stuff when/ …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 06:12 PM

Of course, women are always at greater risk. Physically, financially, emotionally the average man is more resilient than the average woman, but women don't have to have kids with someone they don't trust. This is why marriage exists, you make a partnership out of what you both excel at. I want companionship and kids, but can't grow a baby myself. She wants the same things but can't handle the risk/ labor of child rearing on her own. When we marry, the risks are mitigated, we both get what we wan…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 05:57 PM

Yup. A lot of people get miffed by the idea of one partner "needing" the other, but I don't know any decent IRL relationships where those in it aren't vulnerable. If you're spending your time practicing being independent, you will be great at being alone, and bad at being in a relationship. Codependency can be bad once it gets beyond a certain point, but it's required in a marriage to some extent, especially if you're starting a family.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 04:33 PM

I'm not "traditional" traditional, but I'm going through the motions of the typical marriage and at the having kids phase, so I can relate. The fact is, there will always be a power imbalance regardless of how much you make if you're planning on having kids. If you're approaching the relationship with a mindset of "how do I protect myself" or "how do I take advantage of my superior position", you're not following any tradition I'm aware of. If you're going into the marriage planning your exit st…

Aligning ideologies is one of the more important factors when considering a relationship, especially since in the US authoritarianism tends to be on the rise and no one really appreciates "the other" voting against their liberties. And she's good, thanks for asking. Apparently having your organs squished is no fun, though. Being hungry all the time while having a physically smaller stomach is a frustrating conundrum.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 09:16 PM

Since I guess it needs explaining and this place is the death of humor; The phrase "take the democrat pill" was intended to be a joke to highlight the fact that values between single men on PPD and a lot of the single women out there in the world are vastly different and actually tend to matter when it comes to dating, rather than strictly focusing on surface level features like one's appearance. I hope that was dry enough for PPD to understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 06:59 PM

Yes, the post was mostly a joke to highlight this very fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 06:55 PM

Well it's kinda gay to be dreaming about men, and most gay/ bisexual men are democrats, so.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 06:54 PM

Depends on the specifics of the question and who's asking, but I've never answered with one of those two. I answer differently depending on what I assume their politics are. I'm on average probably fairly center, but registered Democrat so I can vote in the primaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 06:45 PM

In the US you don't get to vote in the primaries if you're not registered one way or the other. I like to have a say in the primaries since it's the only vote I get that matters in my state.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 06:39 PM

Apparently very few people date outside of their own political party, but most never-married women are are democrats at a higher rate than men. Single men, have you taken the democrat pill?

I don't think you can either? Wasn't claiming you were, I just see it a lot with people here confusing what the purpose of having opposite gendered friends is. Having female friends isn't a dating strategy, but it does make it way easier to access and vet potential partners. If you don't want female friends, just a dating partner, collecting female friends is not going to fix your issue. However, the person who has a lot of practice having fun interactions with women who enjoy spending time with…

I'm trying to get a basic idea of the amount of time I'll need to put into get something out of the advice that could be a new close friend, a romantic relationship, a fwb The way this was presented makes it appear like it's a little Machiavellian. Most of the (good) IRL relationships I know have started with the couple as friends first. If you're both single, have mutual attraction and know you jive well together, it's very easy to convert a friend into a relationship. You cannot, however make …

This was when I was in high school, so take it with a grain of salt. I've always had a lot of female friends/ a mixed cohort of friends. My wife had been a friend for several years before we started dating. When I actually indicated my interest we started dating immediately. I was not friends with any of my female friends because my goal was to date them, I was friends with them because I enjoyed their company. If this was not the case, I probably would have not been successful.

Hi, I guess I wanted to ask red-pill men Married male perspective here; take it or leave it. The TL;DR is yes, it's real, but I think the term is a bit of a misnomer. If you're looking for a relationship rather than just a hook-up, there are a million more factors to consider than what goes into pure sexual attraction. Value is in the eye of the beholder, and its calculated differently depending on who you ask. Men that aren't interested in commitment at the moment will value characteristics tha…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 04:26 AM

I guess it boils down to pairing up young. By the time you're in your mid 20's it might be too late already. I didn't grow up when RP content was popular so I didn't have this stuff bombarding me when my brain was still developing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 04:23 AM

I know probably a dozen dudes in high school/ college who were having sex with girls their own age who weren't unattractive. Looks help get you your looksmatch, but if you're not chasing Stacies, you don't have to be a 10.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 04:22 AM

You just said two contradictory things. If there "has to be an opportunity to look", but your ideal choice might have been your 5th or your 10th, then excessively looking and settling on your 101st was objectively the wrong strategy. If you'd figured out your wants by the second or third house, you'd have done much better.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 04:07 AM

Having good values doesn't help you get laid at the end of the day. For the layperson, it unironically does. If you've got top 99% looks, or loads of money, game, etc, you can probably get what you want when you want and you're probably not on PPD as a result. A LOT of the guys here who would love to participate in the casual sex scene bring nothing to the table that would interest those women, they'd probably do much better with a different attitude.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 04:02 AM

One thing I've noticed about men on PPD compared to real life is that a much larger portion of them seem less principled. I know I can't read the minds of everyone I interact with IRL, but the "f*ck you, I'm gonna get mine" set of values is pretty alien compared to the men I know who actually have good relationships. I've almost never seen a man's duty or loyalty brought up here in topics, and of my high quality married female friends, one of those two things are usually #1 or #2 on their list o…

On average men make more, especially if kids are involved, so yes if you narrow down your dating pool to women who will make as much as you when you destroy your family you've been building, you have the option to maybe save a few thousand. Still not a great plan, in my view.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 01:47 AM

Okay? Homewrecking is not a past-time of intelligent goal-driven men. Why are we wasting time discussing self-destructive idiots?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 01:42 AM

I don't know many non-idiots who would go through the expense of marrying, probably having kids, and then eating the monetary cost of divorce, maybe spousal and child support indefinitely. The social cost of being a cheater/ monkey brancher and the familial outcast status of all of that and for the prize of being with a homewrecker. Are some men that dumb? Sure. Do I give a shit about them and what they do? Not really.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 12:54 AM
7

If a man is dating with the intention of marrying and having kids, which many do, then it is counter to his goals to divorce and start over (and expensive). Most men do not willingly choose to do things that are expensive and counter to their goals.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 12:36 AM
16

Stay with the men they found and married, probably. If she's good at being a wife then why would a man want to willingly go back out on the dating market when he already won?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 12:11 AM

Use new.reddit and the redirector extension if you want it to be permanent.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 12:08 AM

If it is a actual date and the woman is a good find, she has more to lose. The dating market is a market, a good woman can afford to find a guy willing to front the risk of paying for the first date. You will get what you're willing to pay for. If the price of a dinner gets you on the right footing with a feminine girl you're attracted to, that's a great use of a few dollars. The real world doesn't care about social justice, moaning about it shows your value.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 11:32 PM

I'm sure this will catch me some flak here, but if you're bookkeeping before the first date has even started you will not get laid, and you will not get a second date. A date is just a get-together with sexual opportunity. Sexual opportunities are more expensive for women than they are for men, if the math is going to work out you have to make that up somehow. Pay for the dinner and eat the risk, it's only $20-50. If you can't afford that, make an effort and plan something nice but inexpensive. …

/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 06:45 PM

I've got Mormon family in Utah and have Mormon friends where I live. The "Mormon women are so reserved" thing is a myth. The church is practically encouraging young men and women to go at it, so long as they're both in the church, they get married if there's a pregnancy, and the church can keep the kids in the system. Apparently their parties go hard and they can do some insane mental gymnastics to call themselves virgins before marriage.

I'm with the Jehovah's Witnesses as far as gift giving holidays go. I have what I need for day to day things and the frivolous toys I want cost $3k, you're not going to buy it for me. I have no room for random little crap. I'm not better at buying things for you than you are. Kids excluded, why don't we all just save ourselves the time and effort and buy ourselves what we want and not worry about others?

/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 04:05 PM

This was me growing up. It just kind of became a self-fulfilling prophecy. I wanted more female attention than male, so I did whatever got me attention from girls. That caused me to grow up with a lot of female friends and know how to talk to them. Because I already had female friends to branch out from and knew how to entertain them, I easily made more.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 03:59 PM

Let's say in the context of how you view your future. Is a man in the picture required to make your desired outcome a reality? Or can you accomplish it without one?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 03:38 PM

I'll clarify, do you (eventually, if you're single) consider it a need of yours to have a romantically partnered man be a part of your life, or if it came down to it, do you think you'd be perfectly happy being single forever?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/24 03:34 PM

The biggest hurdle is getting your foot in the door, I'm also naturally quite introverted. The "preselection" people talk about for dating also applies to meeting people, but it cascades once you get it started. In college I'd been in classes with girls for years and never said more than a word or two to them, and then I made friends with someone else who was friends with them, and all of a sudden I'm friends with every girl in the engineering department. Leverage other people's friends if you c…

To air my bias, I've been in the same relationship forever so I don't have a ton of advice for dating around, I'm more relationship minded. I'm probably an objective 7 but know how to talk to women and make them laugh. Take my advice with a grain of salt. Don't be Schrodinger's catch, you have to be observed for women to want you. Women like lifestyle, you sound like you'll be set on that front. When you're young, the relationship minded women will recognize and account for potential. Be attract…

If you're happy to accept your Darwin Award you do you but plenty of people aren't. And if you're only going for SMV, your lifestyle and money is much, much less important than your looks. An attractive 28 year old will be doing way better with girls around his own age than a 50yo with money in the bank.

They're physically able to have children around that time, but their relationship value declines the same as women's, it's just pushed out a few years. It's been said here a million times already, but I'll say it again. When you look at the actual age gap of marriages in the US, you're looking at man being her age or less than ten years older than her 2/3rds of the time. After that it's more common for the woman to be older than the man than it is for the man to be more than 10 years older than …

I don't think people will argue it's unjustified, but I and probably others would argue it's dumb, for the same reasons an attractive younger women having a "hoe phase" up until she hits 30 is dumb. It's squandering time when you're at your peak and could be securing yourself the best partner possible. Men have a shelf life, too.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/24 05:04 PM

If I had spent half of that on a ring my wife would probably have declined it and maybe broke up with me. I think I spent about half a month's salary at the time when I was an intern.

I prefer the behavioral focused episodes. A lot of people intuitively understand dating incentive structures but so many tip-toe around sensitive issues he's pretty blunt about, which I appreciate. Everyone already knows guys should be hotter/ make more money, we don't need to hear it again.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 09:46 PM

The dating advice for men is geared more that way, yes. The average Joe isn't going to be hiring high end escorts to avoid relationship drama. The behavioral psychology stuff, especially regarding younger women is plenty applicable for most income levels and anyone with a few brain cells to rub together. I've reference some of it for advice to female friends trying to understand guy issues to good effect.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 09:28 PM

His advice is for men who are desirable or women who want a desirable man, but yes I wouldn't apply his advice to a 26yo living with roommates or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 09:13 PM

The best advice I've heard for either men or women is from Psychacks/ Orion Taraban. He's a little too focused on giving advice for the upper SMV echelons of men and women but a lot of the info can be applied to normal folks, too.

It's been a bit so the comment might get lost, but here's an opinion from a married guy: What do you want, and what do you have to offer? Are they about equal value? I don't know what types of guys you're going for, how physically attractive you are or how old you are, but all you can do is leverage what you have against what people are looking for. Every guy values attractiveness, labor you do in the household and peace, so it matters but it's not the end-all. A guy making good money who wants …

Call me crazy, but I guess I'm operating under the assumption that the couple is healthy and isn't keeping score for all the other men and women on reddit. In my marriage we share resources, we're a family unit. What's good for one is good for all. If you're still protecting yourself while trying to have kids why even bother. Keeping your spite out of your relationships will serve you much better.

If you were not doing the labor, you would otherwise have to pay someone else $20k to do it. Therefore, if you're not paying the opportunity cost of $20k, then the monetary value is exactly what you would have paid. DIY has value even if it doesn't show up on a balance sheet, that's why people DIY.

Since I misjudged the reading comprehension at play here, I'll boil it down. The controlled wage gap is dramatically smaller than the uncontrolled gap. When women select the same careers men select, their pay gap shrinks by about 15x. In a free market economy, where companies will pick the cheapest labor that satisfies the job requirements, if women selected the same type of jobs men select, in the same quantity, their uncontrolled pay gap would shrink to the controlled level. However, they do n…

I'm ignoring the other stuff. Just a rehash of the same thing. I can only repeat myself so many times before I get bored. Then why aren't they compensated for it? They are, the family isn't paying for childcare. I presume you're not married, but families with children tend to share expenses. The claim that women don't care about money is clearly refuted by the fact that they like it more when they are paid more. Again, I'm needing to repeat myself, but I'm suggesting they don't prioritize income…

I haven't found clear info on how that's factored in. For example, a woman who take 6 months to a year off is still working after ten years, but she potentially only worked 90-95% the same amount of time as her husband who couldn't take time off. I presume the uncontrolled wage gap is not normalizing her time in industry, which will hurt her earned wages, but again I'm open to being disproved.

The controlled gender pay gap, which considers factors such as job title, experience, education, industry, job level and hours worked, is currently at 99 cents for every dollar men earn ... ... women at the executive level earn only 95 cents for every dollar earned by men Executive women have a 5% gap compared to men in comparable roles, but non c-suite roles are 1%, which I personally don't consider to be a big issue. I believe so, but there's conflicting information on if stay-at-home mothers are excluded from that number or not. The forbes article says " The uncontrolled gap represents the overall difference in pay between men and women, considering all the jobs and industries in which they work. " but doesn't break that down by age of retirement or if childcare is excluded or not so I'm open to clarification.

The controlled wage gap is measured at 1%, which is pretty much in the margin of error as far as any measurement goes. If you want to get up in arms about it have at it, but your energy could probably be better spent elsewhere. And I don't know if you didn't read my second paragraph, but I already gave an example as to why, it's because it's not uncommon that they might pick up childcare duties. It's reducing their cost of childcare by taking care of it in-house. If they have kids, they physical…

I feel like it's becoming more common for the layperson to understand that the .86c cited as the pay gap is misleading though. But my social circle is non-idiots so it could be skewed. I'm of the opinion people should make the same for the same job, but also am aware that this is currently already the case so there's no real issue, but I don't pay much attention to what media/ social is belching out nowadays outside of a few news youtubers, so what do I know.

I can't believe it's 2024 and people haven't figured out the controlled vs. uncontrolled pay gap yet. The overall pay gap for every woman and man in 2023 was 16 cents, in men's favor. When you compare men and women with the same experience level in the same job, the gap is one cent. If you want to make more money, you need to pick a career that makes more money. A very rational take. Someone who's been with 30 people likely has very different values and approach to sex than someone with 1 or 2. Your count can be an abridged way to find out if you share those values or not. If you're ashamed or defensive of your number, that might say more about who's being asked than who is asking.

You've used the word "want" almost a half dozen times in the post. Wanting something is free, it costs you nothing. Guys already know what you want from us, but giving what you want costs us, whether it be dollars, time, emotional support, opportunity cost, whatever. If the woman in question is worth the cost, the guy will pay. Ultimately it comes down to what we value on the dating market, when we have it, and the demographics of this sub. When you look at who's here, on aggregate men are not the prize. Women have a high SMV inherently. /r/PurplePillDebate23/02/24 04:26 PM

The only girls I'd marry would be ones who like money more than rocks. No geology girls for me (or ones who are easily swayed by corrupt corporate ads convincing them to buy expensive things that serve little purpose in our lives)
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/24 04:24 PM

I'm rocking a little of both.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/24 04:19 PM

I'm usually the same way. Rimworld is my video game comfort food.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 06:50 PM

It's niche and nerdy, wouldn't expect it. There might be a single woman in the entire community. I'm usually a singleplayer guy but get enough nerds in a room talking about Radar Cross Section and I'll eventually show up. I love coop PvE games, though. Helldivers has definitely piqued my interest
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 06:44 PM

I gotta live up to my flair. I've been addicted to Nebulous.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 06:06 PM

I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as one of its members I wouldn't trust it. I know I'm not worth lovebombing unless she's way below my league.

He avoided the question so until he clarifies the situation we can assume he's unhealthy (38-44 BMI). This would explain why no maidens are in his inbox.

shooting Good thing you have that concealed carry.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 05:47 PM

A lot of women think that men should have it as easy as they do, it's an assumption that if they don't, then they're not an equal, and romantically, they're looking for an equal. If they need advice/ help, they're not equals.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 05:46 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:55 AM

I doubt I'm the norm but I won't entertain a woman that I wouldn't consider relationship material. It's a waste of time to differentiate between the two if you want a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:53 AM

The guys who say this crap are usually the same people advocating men should be allowed to date multiple women.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 12:56 AM

She's hypergamous
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 01:03 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 12:08 AM

9/10 times it's a drop in activity. I probably eat 3k calories a day and don't gain weight because I burn it all. If I'm sitting all day and eat the same, I'd pick up weight pretty quick.

Considering how none have been posted, done. I'll take that deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 11:56 PM

Weird, must be a bot or someone who's bored. And yeah, Ukraine is mulling over conscription for women. Modern battlefield has plenty of combat roles that suit women just fine. Many are training to be drone operators, and there's lots of other roles that women have been filling. Women will never be as useful at lugging heavy loads around, so it doesn't make sense to have them do tasks that men are better suited for, but the trend of female participation in combat is only going up.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 07:02 PM
1

So far it's voluntary, the short story is that plenty are volunteering at the moment. Ukraine's military already prefers female snipers to male one. Plenty of women in combat roles, with the number increasing. Also, why tf you downvoting me?

I've seen a lot of men say things along the lines of "women should be required to sign up for the draft" as a reason why "woman bad, man good", and they ignore how frequently women sign up for military service when the need arises. Of course there's obvious individual examples like Joan of Arc, Tomoe Gozen, etc, but there's always been historical examples of women volunteering for combat (Cantabrian Dianas, Onna Bushi), and we still see it today (Ukraine)

I heard some people saying how The Expanse was anti-woke, and I'm utterly flabbergasted. The people who use the term unironically probably don't have more than a few brain cells to rub together for warmth, and the folks playing to "modern audiences" are dooming their media to irrelevancy and financial ruin.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:28 PM

Not enough money
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 01:13 AM

There are plenty of women who are the cause of their own issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:58 AM

Yeah. That sounds like fraud.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:57 AM

I see. So a very unhealthy (38-44) BMI.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:54 AM

Honestly she'd probably bust out the popcorn and watch me rizz up some girls from behind a wall. We had a mostly female friend group in HS and I had to be raunchy enough for all of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:41 AM

Sure, but what is it now...?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:38 AM

Yeah but most of them aren't exclusively going after healthy (19-21 BMI) women.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:29 AM

Of course, how did I not see it. Morbidly obese (38-44 BMI)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:21 AM

(Also, I learned recently that he had not intended to get her pregnant, it was a little bit of a baby trap scenario)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:18 AM

I suspect his obsession over a healthy (19-21 BMI) body type is projection for what he doesn't have. I'm gonna guess he's overweight (26-29 BMI).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:12 AM

Not an idiot, eh? Being an idiot probably would have been easier.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:07 AM

I can turn Tiffany away from god and fix her. If it was a entomological, cool looking species I might have been able to handle Renee. She might be too braindead and beyond repair.

You gonna be the last of a long line of idiots? Find that someone stupid, I believe in you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 12:02 AM

You still never answered whether or not you're healthy (19-21 BMI). Perhaps you're too out of shape for her since you seem to be avoiding the question.

It boils down to a "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" situation. I had roads to hell, one labeled "hell", and one paved over to give me a sense of security. My dad was weak, but he was honest about it, I was able to make an informed decision to get away. While I think his wife is crap, his honesty meant I didn't have to be involved. My mom fought for custody, but she fought for me to suffer her bad decisions. She took kids down with her, and was unremorseful about it. My sister (da…

Gifts can be good natured, and I have no problem with gift giving or friends of the opposite gender. The nature of a diamond necklace as a gift, even with an innocuous pretext is still romantic, and if it's expensive, significant. A single man giving a significant, romantic gift to my girlfriend would be inappropriate of him, and inappropriate of her to receive. There are unsaid signals being sent, intentionally or not that I consider to be a boundary. I don't even care that the boundary being c…

My dad made more stable life decisions and ironically provided me with an incredibly valuable set of life lessons (of what not to do in my relationships, but what to do in life). Our relationship is arms length as I'm not interested in my step-family, but it still exists and we both understand his weakness. My mom was the BPD "I don't need no man" archetype who thought she was more capable than she was but consistently made devastating choices that impacted her children. Both my parents were wea…

/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 11:14 PM

I'm not the police, she can keep it if she wants to. Maybe next valentines day he can get her some matching earrings, and then maybe go for a vacation for their 1st anniversary shortly after.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 11:11 PM

Not before the step-mom. After, yes. My mom fought for me and he didn't, which I'll always appreciate her for, but it doesn't excuse the abuse. I learned from them both what not to be and what not to marry.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 11:07 PM

Yeah, they split when I was a little over one. Was 50/50 custody until I was maybe 10 years old, where I chose to go with mom full time. My dad's new wife wasn't a fan of me and I was starting to develop stress tics.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 11:03 PM

Lol, she's giving it back
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 10:51 PM

They have a type
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 10:41 PM

Yeah, but in the modern world we have contraception and family planning measures. Back when we didn't, the other guy probably represents competition. Unless you don't know how babies are made, the family will know how many kids they want and can afford. Most women want between 1-3, that means 33-100% of the kids you're presumably raising aren't yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 10:28 PM

Yeah. While I appreciate the work she was willing to put in, man did she make some horrible decisions that put us through a rough time.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 10:21 PM

Usually the firstborn is smarter/ larger due to more resources being applied to them, and the following kids have a little better immunity from bacteria the first brings home. There's not much difference other than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 10:05 PM

Carpal tunnel is no laughing matter

Indeed, kind of had these vibes but a little dantier. Custom designed/ made so it's technically unique.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 09:56 PM

I mean, I'm kinda pulling more than my own weight already. I prefer to focus my efforts on my local community. But yeah, I'm a good, volunteering, tax-paying boy who will hopefully raise some productive, stable kids, even though it might benefit me more to spend my time doing fun hedonistic shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 09:53 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 09:50 PM

How dare you not accept a darwin award
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 09:49 PM

I mean, the societal consequences of blended families are not insignificant, and those who tend to have multiple children from several partners are usually unmarried, younger, and disadvantaged. I don't want to dogwhistle for poor and dumb, but it's kind of poor and dumb behavior. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4182921/
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 09:47 PM

I'm a math guy, I do math: (Kids she'll have with me) = (Kids she wants) - (However many kids she already has)
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 09:40 PM

If you care about the continuation of your biological family, being with a single mother is the worst you can do: - She already needs to provide for a kid. Any resources are shared between kids you have no relation to. - She will only be able to handle so many kids, and one of them is not yours. - There is a potential baby daddy with associated drama you have to deal with.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 09:38 PM

Honestly any noncircular cut does this, but it reminds me of those plastic toy rings for kids: https://www.amazon.com/Rhode-Island-Novelty-Plastic-Assortment/dp/B00629TPG8 It just looks cheap and childish.

I'm theorizing here, but best guess would be frustration. The substance of their value to women they're attracted to is dictated by something that is just luck of what genes you got. Rationally everyone can understand people have preferences and dealbreakers, but I'd rather be rejected for something I can improve on for next time.
