Did you even read the thread you've replied to? How can the parking place be about rain when the whole parkign area is covered? So that's a stupid lie straight out of the gate. Then the suggestion it is anything to do with disability. Another stupid lie. These spots are made for women to feel safe when they are leaving work late at night.

How about you fucking listen to others opinions without getting shitty and letting shit get to you? But why would I listen to your opinion when every one so far has been wrong, just a total misinterpretation of what you have seen? You just want to be angry so do it on your own.

Do you actually live in Germany or have any idea behind these? If not, why don't you fucking shut up and stop giving your opinion and instead start asking other people theirs?

It really doesn't matter what the reasoning is, if this doesn't have to do with an actual disability for these spaces to be adhered towards. Yes it does. I'm ignoring the rest of your comment because when you excuse a lie with "it really doesn't matter what the reasoning is" you justify lying, and you lose credibility.

Dude, the whole parking level is protected from the rain. What has the rain got to do with anything? The parking places are for women who feel unsafe walking through the parking lot at night where there are untold hiding places. Nothing to do with rain.

She became convinced that Clover, an English and comparative literature teacher at UC Davis, had hacked her computer in some way and manipulated her accounts. That sounds mentally ill. He thinks she's mentally ill, and colleges aren't exactly falling over themselves to fire women of colour who teach colonial studies - literally the epicenter of wokeness, so there must have been a good reason. Maybe she is mentally ill? and those students would rather believe there is a conspiracy than the obviou…

Did I say women of all nationalities didn't have their own set of issues? No. I didn't say or imply that. And that doesn't start to address how next level ignorant this list is. I don't know how you can call this list ignorant when you have experienced none of the things I am talking about. Tell me, how long have you been an ex-pat from my country of origin, living in the country I live in now, having dated American women? How long? because maybe we should discuss it - there are quite a few inte…

I'm living in a European city - and I'm swiping left on any American woman now. Without exception they will have one of the following problems: A vicious set of hard left views Addicted to psychobabble - nothing is a normal situation; it's always triggering / gaslighting / narcissim or some drama Drama turned up to 11 - everything they do is 100% justified because anything that happens to them is always life threating A landmine - anything can trigger them at any time Total lack of compassion - …

then you have to overcome the "he's a potential serial killer" bias by women. Women naturally are more vulnerable - so they don't think you're going to be a serial killer, but you could be an asshole who gets violent when rejected, or someone who gets handsy and wont take no for an answer. It's not too hard to get past this fear - just don't be a fucking weirdo. That just means be a gentleman, and be polite. "Rich and powerful" What role did his wealth or power play other than as an aphrodisiac? This is no different to the "she made me do it because she was wearing a short skirt" routine.

I notice that during the exchange - which she claims was just banter - she claimed he touches her breasts. A really shitty and manipulative thing to do, but it looks like he made the counter claim back. So an interesting little exchange. I wonder what would have happened if she hadn't claimed "banter" and just claimed sexual harassment to begin with.

It's also worth noting that terrorism is violence dedicated to a political aim. Violence from depression or frustration even if it is based on some of shitty ideology isn't terrorism. Its still back an evil, but it's not terrorism One of the biggest problems with people these days is that everyone's is spending time saying X or Y, and if you don't agree with you support X. Tyranny is the deliberate removal of nuance.

What the fuck is this rubbish? I like how you use statistics up until the point you say you should be after someone "fuck able" With no attempt to quantify that. You're not wrong at all, but I think this situation is more complicated and has some extra features that make the whole thing more difficult to navigate: The girls aren't operating under the same rules as a normal fight They don't think they will get hit They think that if they DO get hit, it wont be that bad Whether they get hit or not they "win" - they get to score a point by hitting, and if they get hit back, then the man has lost, and very likely white knights will step in Because all of the…

For some reason I was friends with my old primary school head teacher on Facebook. She posted something about "boys should never hit girls" and I messaged her saying, maybe she could just say "people should never hit people" and explained to her several examples of when I'd be attacked by girls or bullied growing up, and had never hit back because of this rule. The point is that a crime is a crime No, that is the point you are making, not the point I am making. And I didn't "stumble into it" it was pretty high up the comment chain. Where were you cunt? There's more to it than whether you have genital A genital B for many reasons. You can either be a grown up and understand the nuance, or you can be a fucking baby and scream about why you don't get the same flavour ice cream as your sister.
/r/MensRights05/10/18 09:49 PM

No, but if you were even capable of understanding the comment I am replying to: There is more complexity to this issue as to why women and men are treated differently simply because of their genitals. I mean, there's an entire history of human behaviour rolled up in it. I never said it wasn't a crime. Only a stupid fucking imbecile would think that. Are you the type of stupid fucking imbecile that can't follow a discussion properly, so they go back to parroting facile talking points?
/r/MensRights05/10/18 01:47 PM

Well, yeah, there is. I mean, men and women have historically behaved very differently to one another, or does your righteous indignation hinge on the fact that the goals, aims, needs, and motivations of men and women have always been and will always be completely identical?

There are plenty of conservatives who think men are pigs. In a way so that a drunken person being arrested cannot lash out at an officer. It's procedure. I've been arrested for non violent crimes and they still handcuff you. And, well, she DID hit him, and he DID retaliate and it's all over the internet. They handled it poorly. You sound like you're been cucked by divisive Russian propaganda. Why can't they both be wrong? Put it this way - if she had pulled out a gun and shot someone, or hit a member of the crowd - would you say that the police officer had done their job to restrain her properly? No. Because they all left her arms flapping around like an idiot while they carried her off like a fucking tribal war trophy. They should have secured her properly so her hands were not free.

/r/PussyPassDenied06/11/17 05:38 PM

I'll tell you what the Internet isn't capable of - just accepting that two wrongs don't make a right. She shouldn't have slapped him, and he shouldn't have punched her. She should have been sober and well behaved but wasn't. They should have restrained her correctly, not carried her off like she was had just won at being drunk.

I'm actually pretty angry with the mods over this - they are blatantly ignoring a lot of good advice on this subject and "allowing people to make uop their minds" on the basis of a poorly worded headline, with more incediary comments thrown in to agitate people. Well, that's a funny thing ... I take your point, but.. most cases are governed by law, not contract law. For example, you and I cannot simply enter into a contract to avoid child support if you sign a paper.

Sorry, but no case of pregnancy is a contract. Rape isn't a contract, failed birth control isn't a contract. Child support is the result of the physical act of procreation. Whether a court looks into his liability for child support (or indeed custody, access etc) is an entirely different matter. The only reason we know about this case is because it's court proceedings are public. We don't know the rest of the details as they are private. I've seen multiple replies now telling you how it is, and …

Can't you at least edit the title Flair? This article solely deals with the negligence case of the clinic regarding their release of the embryo. Double standards I know, but stuff like this isn't related to men's rights and we should leave it at the door when we come in. Just because we get attacked doesn't mean we have to live up to it. They do - there's an interesting talk by Stephen Fry where he analyses their seeming penchant for gratuitous punishment. And its not just, cowboy shoots bad guy thing - it goes deeper. It's why Reddit is chock full of 14 year old keyboard warriors baying for minor deeds to be punished with severe offences. That's why they will happily detail how they would happily execute someone for stealing their property - with a weapon that many of them wish to carry around for just that very purpose.

The law says that if he contests the divorce, because it is not completely broken down, then she can't get one. The Judges ruling the case are basically agreeing with her, saying that the law should be changed - but they themselves cannot do that, and it must be parliament.

Indeed. And I don't recall anyone trying to stop the production of any reflective non fantasy games. I mean, I'm turning fourty in couple of months - and when I was a kid there was a huge stigma about being into games. You were totally a nerd - stuck in your basement doing coding. But the guys that were in there making these games made they wanted. I didn't see too many people who were worried about their work life balance, or how society perceived them, or whether it was ok for them to be there…

The student said that though there were more women in the veterinary medicine program than men, there were more structural barriers to their advancing in the profession. I dunno. In a field largely dominated by women, are there structural barriers in this field? You can't just hand wave 'structural barriers' in every field all the time. It's not true all the time and in this case, the evidence suggests that this is a field dominated by women.

My point, which you have proved so readily. Is that a you're more interested in fairness and retribution than justice. Everyone is gagging to make the point that they're glad she's getting punished like a man would - like a bunch of monkeys being sprayed with a hose. Not all feminists though. When did it become ok to blithely blame everyone in a group for the actions of some or even most members of the group. The point is, and most real life feminists I have spoken to, agree that feminism really is a women's rights movement - not even they believe it should be the only gender equality movement. Of course other feminists will say the opposite. Already you have different groups, and you're insulting the ones who support you. It's silly.

There was absolutely no fault with anything you said, nor anything unclear. I'm not the one who originally made the point. I'm responding to the commenter who decided to get salty instead of try to engage in an adult debate. You talk about understating and comprehension, but you'…

Saying they're two ends of a spectrum is comparing it, What do you "comparing" actually means? Do you think "comparing" is exactly synonymous with "saying things are exactly the same", or do you think comparing things is a means to explore two entirely different issues by means of contrast? Because the first one is what people seem to think it is, and the second one is actually what it is. If comparison was the same as likening, then we wouldn't need to compare because it would be moot. Shall we…

Communication is a two way thing. Deliberately ignoring a point so you can score points against someone on an Internet forum is just a pathetic way to be part of a conversation. Comparing things is not the same as saying that they are exactly the same. We use comparisons for a variety of purposes, and only one of them is to show 'sameness' You know this, but the thrill of being able to be holier than thou in a gender politics debate is just too much for you isn't it?

They weren't saying they were the same, they were saying that they are two ends of a spectrum. Obviously men in the West don't have to wear burkas or get stoned for whatever reason. Why are people ALWAYS looking to get enraged and miss the point made because it was made poorly? I personally think whenever people say "are you really comparing...?" they're just looking for a cheap dig. It's not conducive to discussion and I really wish people would stop doing it.

That's the most asinine thing I've heard today. I think the community is often ridiculed and questioned by people who don't understand it, or who only see shitty examples of what members of that community do, and there's no need to add more grist for the mill. What do you think you're achieving by saying "you must think that community is on a shaky foundation"? When asked why female offenders should be treated differently to men Mr Hughes said: "Women are a special case for very good, evidenced reasons. Firstly, many more women who go to prison have themselves been victims. They've often been abused or in violent partnerships. I swear my eyes popped out of my head. Women are driven to commit crimes because they are victims, but men spontaneously commit crimes because they are evil.

A lot of people are marking him as a 'misogynist killer' - but I think that's crap. Men have been frustrated about not getting women for hundreds of years. Whether he thought is was because women liked muscular men, or rich men or whatever it showed he had a warped view of the world. Put simply - he was crazy and had a twisted and wrong perspective about the world, and that is what drove him to kill - not misogyny. And what we learn and practice here is not misogyny. I also think women are under a lot of pressure to essentially be hypocritical. They can't say 'I just want some cool guy who's good looking who fucks the shit out of me and makes my friends jealous' So this magic shield of niceness has to be there to give them room to plausibly cover up the fact that they actually do have preferences. I think when a older woman wants a younger man she wants a younger man, so if you act and dress and behave like someone her own age, then where's the fun in that? One bit of advice I have is this: Be honest even if you know it's going to rule out a hell of a lot of women. They know when you're trying to be as general and pandering as possible and it's not attractive. If you only like women who like art and dislike people who are into sports then say it. You'll rule out the sports fans (which is fine because you're not into it, no point trying for a shag in vain) But the arty girls will see your description and say "That's me". When you're selective it als…

Slightly tangentially, I think that dichotomy is a cause of many problems. I don't think it's a case of everybody should open up and express themselves at all times. I think that women who are trained to cry, get upset, express their feelings at the drop of a hat can be quite toxic. It leads to unmoderated behaviour and thought, yet is visible and gains sympathy, yet drives a rift between the genders.

I think the idea is that they segregate themselves by not being interested. Also, I think the reason people are annoyed by the article is how it dismisses programming as being "sad" up until the point some girl gets involved. It's subtle men bashing, or male pursuit bashing. I'm not quite following you. Well, isn't the reason that this sort of crime is in the minority, compared to unreported rape? I'm not sure if it's a crime not to report rape. Do you mean there are less false rape allegations then unreported rapes? I'm not sure how anyone could know that - without some godlike view of how many rapes happen that aren't reported, or a view of how many rape allegations are actually false. I'm not sure if this kind of story gets more press attention than rape - I thin…

No - not in the obiter dicta of the judge. As you can see, he mentions other rape victims, then police resources, then the plight of the men licked up. "Sentencing today, Judge Paul Batty QC said: "This is a serious offence. It damages the administration of justice in an extremely sensitive area. "Every false allegation of rape or serious sexual assault increases the plight of those women who have been the victim of such a dreadful crime and makes it harder to prove where a crime really has take…

I wonder if the ease at which false allegations can be made is a reflection on the law surrounding them - as if, like many petty vandalism style-crimes, simply being able to get away with it is reason enough to try it. Like an invitation to commit crime.

I like the way that the harm it caused to the men comes almost as a postscript to the damage it does to women who have yet to be raped, and the cost of the manhunt.

I think this is a fair comment. However, I suspect the guy may have meant people who could work but willfully avoid it using underhanded means.

I find myself agreeing with you on this one. Surely by marriage age people should know themselves well enough to know that even with the with the best will in the world, people change and things change. Just as when we were kids we said we'd never kiss a girl, nor get married nor have kids - it happens, you have to be pretty ignorant to deny it.

Mind you - skinny plays a big part, in all my years whenever I've known women to be a bit mental, it's also because they were skinny. I'm not advocating slapping all skinny women (as much as feminists might like it) - just sayin' And yeah, like that video posted - there's always some dickhead willing to back a woman up. It's things like that that make me question the notion of "equality" and whether anything is possible - you simply cannot legislate or socially engineer that behaviour out of peo…

I'm not so sure; you don't just walk around and slap people - for her to get to that place where she can do it means she must've missed out on some important life lessons. Like someone else said, she probably has a bunch of jackasses who agree with her - or she's done stuff like that and other people have walked away and reinforced her bad behaviour. Assault/battery laws are there for a reason - I think of the OP has her details he should certainly press charges.

Of course not. When they start considering themselves the gender equality group it smacks of them trying to claim moral authority and carve out a sphere of influence; it would be easier to stomach if the name itself did not imply vested interest. I don't want to bash women here but I have two problems with feminists-as-gender-equality champions: 1 - so much of what we are commanded to believe about women is they they are more emotional than we are (and that is probably true, due to the way the b…

I think believing that the feminist movement is a pan-gender equal rights movement is akin to believing global corporations should administer their own business practices and ethical standards. There's not a hope in hell of it being done right or honest.

I wish (some) women could understand: Some of the things we do are hardwired into our brains, like looking at asses or responding to fast moving objects - it's not a "choice" - I'm sure many of us men in a relationship would benefit from turning off our "noticing women" gene. Sometimes we want to not talk as much as you want to talk - that doesn't mean we are ambivalent about talking, it means we want it to not happen. Our brains are processing data or we are working things in our heads and you …

Fair enough - but we also have justified restrictions on freedom of the press, and defamation laws. Unfortunately those libel/defamation laws are usually available to the rich, cost a lot of money to the loser, take up court time and still don't put the genie back in the bottle. I think stopping the press from naming people accused of rape until they are convicted circumvents that and prevents huge amounts of damage from being done to a reputation until a court of law has agreed that the person …

I think this is certainly fair enough - it's a crime where the stigma of being accused causes damage. I don't see the harm in defendant anonymity - it doesn't mean anyone has to do any more work, it doesn't take away rights from anyone else - all it can possibly do is stop mob justice from taking place. Anyone who argues against this law is arguing for mob rule "well, if he gets off in court I still want the option to smear his name". Not good enough.

I think she was well within in her right. Good for her. I don't think I would have done the same if a girl did it, but then it would probably be more playful than anything - some girls have (I have a tight ass!) and usually it's good natured - I think there's been a couple of drunk girls in the past where I've had to say "whoah, can you stop please!" and they have. This is a situation where it she has my full support and thats all there should be to it.

Yes, I think this would be one of the things necessary - I don't think women should be made to feel bad about their sexuality. In fact most men would probably wish they were as promiscuous as they were (at the same ages!) However, it is often (as you suggest) women who are doing it to other women - as promiscuous women lower the value of "sexual currency" and erode a woman's mystique. I reckon a half of the bare minimum of social pressure on how women should behave is placed on women by other wo…

I guess her assertion is based on the idea that women don't wage war - they passively sit around while men go to war. But, yeah, it's bullshit. That said, we should stop idolising the steady queue of young testosterone fuelled men who are ready to fight and die - whether it be for a gang, in a bar or for their country.

I think it's ridiculous for a man to have to pay for an unwanted child even if he wasn't raped. If the woman is pro-choice she must necessarily be pro hard-choice; and every child should be given the best chance in life and that means two loving parents.

I agree it is a severe problem - and I like that we have run through a couple of alternative ideas other than snipping their tubes. In fact, maybe it's because I've aged over the last few hours, but I really do like your idea: Mandatory contraception seems like a reasonable exchange for assistance. The only problem is that in many cases the contraceptive pill can really fuck women up emotionally - and mess with their hormones etc. not to mention some other side effects. So what I am saying is, I…

Thanks for all that - fascism is hard to define these days, as the definition seems to have expanded beyond describing the political movement on Italy. I was using it in the sense that it was using force in order to enforce a social requirement - which falls well within what fascism would be classed as. I'm sure the Nazis and lots of others would do the same. All I'm saying is that it's a bit of a rum-to-do to drag a woman off and mutiliate her ability to procreate. Your final rewording is a bit…

Well, I'm sure we all agree that it has to be stopped - it's just the "forced sterilisation" aspect that makes you a fascist. The fascist weren't about stopping people from having fun and drawing pictures of unicorns - they also wanted to stop what they saw as the denegration of their society, it's just that by using violence they were no better than the people they were professing to stop. Thus, fascism.

Your logic is flawed, I'm sorry, and it sounds belligerent. Putting your penis in a woman is not "consenting" (since there is no agreement to consent to) to raise a child into adulthood and beyond. We undertake the sexual act on the understanding we are not intending to get pregnant - hence using birth control in the first place. Cars regularly get involved in car accidents but no one tacitly gives consent to be injured because they drive a car. It's a risk yes - but if you're going to be inflex…

Saying that merely having sex (in a world where there are many forms of imperfect birth control) is consent to raise a child to adulthood is not far off saying getting drunk and fooling around with a guy is tantamount of giving consent to sex.

I would also like to see forced sterilization of those on their way to having children beyond their ability to adequately support. Well that makes you a fascist doesn't it?
/r/MensRights26/04/10 12:21 AM

Perhaps it should be considered in line with the date rape issue - legal consent must be given before a child is convceived in order for any child support to be payable. If a man is drunk and unable to give consent, then it may well be that a woman is taking advantage of his highly emotional state.

Regarding chilary - I think one of the things women seem to ignore is that men are actually polite to each other - we will hold doors open for each other, we will make jokes and treat each other with respect. I think one problem stems from the fact that some women interpret a man doing something for them as creepy and ingratiating. They interpret friendly comments and smiles and flirting or lascivious. We can't win in that respect - because we're either going to be labled as selfish or servile.

Phyzome is on the money though. I do think it is an isolated incidence - it's just one of those things that sets a bad example and brings disharmony between men and women. You know, we all walked away from that feeling a bit worse than when we started - maybe they learned something, maybe they didn't. But in a problem like the massive disharmony that exists between men and women, it consists solely of these little incidents. A woman is passed over for promotion - she goes home a little bit more …

Not at all - a lot of the people I was hanging with were strong, intelligent women who I admire. The point of this story was it to say was frustrating because the words used, the way in which it happened - it was the kind of altercation that could only happen between women and men. I doubt any women would do that to another woman and then demand that woman be "chivalrous" - it would be considered rude, bullying or worse. No man wuld ever do the same to another man. In fact one of the women I was…

We would not even be talking about DV against men had feminists not > raised consciousness about DV towards women in the first place. One could argue that domestic violence against men by women is becoming more prevalent because men are now conditioned to think that hitting women is bad, as opposed to the idea that initiating violence is bad. Also, as you pointed out, often it's hard to tell who the aggressor is - often the psychological warfare that goes on inside a relationship can be waged mu…
