I'm the same way. I don't think we're outliers, I'm pretty sure that's a natural instinct.

This saying hasn't got the least fucking thing to do with boys' relationship to girls. It has to do with how it's typical for boys to roughhouse and be general rapscallions. This has absolutely nothing to fucking do with consent, rape or "rape culture." Stop it.

Thank you. Jesus. That bothered the hell out of me. It's like they literally just wrote their stream of consciousness without bothering to go back and refine or think more than once about anything they wrote. And forced myself to read the whole thing. There are so many idiosyncrasies and contradictory bullshit assertions that I can't bring myself to reference them. One of the most unironically ignorant things I've read. So damn frustrating.

Why even have laws unless they can't return things to the exact state they were in before the crime was committed? In fact, why even put actually murderers in jail? It wont bring back the deceased.

Fantastically in-depth. Quality comment. I want to add something to your points. Note that when I say "you," I don't mean you specifically, but all men as a generalization. It's important at all times to reserve the option to yourself to leave the relationship flat out, without looking back. It's important to keep in your mind, and remind yourself if you have to, that you have that option (and ability). If you stay time and time again after she throws fit after fit, she probably can't learn, and…

Oh, she does have a job! She works... two days a week. As a "beauty therapist." The poor thing must be just overwhelmed with fatigue and stress.

And she apparently works two days a week, as a beauty therapist. So, the courts are ordering him to pay her more every month without her having to work more whatsoever? Jesus Christ.

God damn. So, she only works two days a week, and he has to pay to make up for her idiotic decisions? This makes me so mad.

Wow, that pisses me off. Sorry, man. Had to move in with my disabled dad about 5 years ago after my mom divorced him and she moved, she hasn't had to pay any child support or alimony despite her making ~$100k/year, my dad not being able to work, and us being homeless up until this last November. Now she gets the pity since she was laid off middle of last year. Goddamn asinine.
/r/MensRights08/02/17 02:45 AM

The thing is, this happens to men who have no children with their then-spouse. They still, however end up having to finance their ex-partner's life even if she divorces him.

If neither party is capable of consent, then who is initiating the sex and why?
/r/MensRights20/01/17 08:01 PM
2

Also, plenty of kids have sex without either party manipulating or pressuring the other. Kids are going to have sex.
/r/MensRights20/01/17 08:01 PM

So teens should never have sex? Everyone should wait until they're 18? Another point you made is that teen sex only happens when initiated by manipulation from one party. Do you not hear how dumb that sounds?

I definitely agree. I think the crux of the issue is this -- flaunting your intelligence just for the sake of showing off. Nobody likes someone who tries to boost themselves up by showing just how much they know about a something. However, if when challenged, you can materialize a "defense" out of knowledge you already possess, that's what makes it important. It's important to have knowledge in your arsenal, but it's also important not to shoot it off unnecessarily. Don't play your cards unless …

Tinder is one place where looks are the predominant, if not only factor. It's the nature of the service. It's like browsing a buffet. You eat what looks good.

The thing about this type of thinking, though, is that you don't have to accept anything as undeniable fact. You can use any information you know or learn to form and reform yourself and your viewpoint to better fit the world the information comes from.

It may be dependant on how many dots you acquire. However, acquiring a dot doesn't imply what you do with the its information. The dot is your comment. I choose not to believe that you actually piss rum but find it humorous, and decide that this dot isn't worth making a part of any important connection. Each dot is also not implied to be objective truth in and of itself. It is simply another data point, another piece of information. How you interpret it and arrange it in relation to other dots y…

I think that sometimes it's not even malicious. I think that sometimes, people genuinely don't know that the path another person is on will be successful. Really, none of us can actually "know" that, because success is mostly subjective to each of our realities, and the only path we know to reach our personal "success" is the one we took, so we try to help some others along in that direction. Now, there are definitely those who use maliciously the phrases in the OP. Some definitely do use them a…

Skepticism does not imply rejection. In fact, it specifically excluded rejection, since skepticism requires acknowledgment as a precedent. Ignorance would be, (1) me refusing to even acknowledge that you said that you piss rum, or two, accepting as an undeniable (2) that you piss rum and that no amount of data to the contrary can suggest otherwise.

An attitude of amused mastery is part of finding the truth. They are not mutually exclusive. Secondly, adding more data does not imply the drawing of conclusions. The rational thinker acknowledges new data and considers how they might fit with other known and potential data. They also acknowledge that any conclusion drawn is not permanent and should remain open to change.

Forget about what the little bitches in your school say about you now. What they say has no basis in reality. Regardless how you look, they will say what they want for whatever reason, whether to make themselves feel better, to fit in, to further their socially masturbatory narrative that you're inferior (hint: it doesn't matter if you are). I didn't have a role model growing up. My mom made sure my dad wasn't part of my life until recently. My brother couldn't have cared less about me for a lon…

A phrase my dad likes to use is "Too many chiefs, not enough Indians." It applies to a surprising amount of situations, and would apply to many more if we taught all men to be alpha.

Thank you for posting this. This is really interesting, and it adds an important frame of reference to both history and current issues. I feel like it's an obvious and major aspect of cultural interactions, but I had never crystallized the concept so clearly as you just did here.

The problem is not with the censorship of RP information, the problem is with putting the RP label on related information. It brings the wrong kind of attention here and against the ideas themselves, especially since most people are not open to the ideas and this gives them a target in TRP to voice their disapproval toward. This is an oversimplification, of course, and it doesn't describe all the issues with it, but it is the gist of it.

These aren't all just platitudes meant to be applied indiscriminately. They're tips and information that's meant to be taken and applied to your own life as applicable. Take what helps and works for you, refine it, and work it into your daily personality. Don't replace mass sections of it with these or any thoughts and behaviors without first thinking about them and how they might apply to you.
