Amen! Anyone else got any similar stories?Hahahaha you are so right! That's a great idea!! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/07/20 08:51 PM
Amen! Anyone else got any similar stories?Gosh yes. Not about my body directly but still the same kind of tactless insult. I was twenty, and I was getting dressed one morning, had on a lacy floral bra and my (then) boyfriend commented that "it just wasn't doing anything for him." Like dude, that's not the purpose of a bra, but darn it, that cut me deep for some reason and I still think about it occasionally. I should have just told him that HE wasn't doing anything for me, either. It would have saved me several years of misery. The divo… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/07/20 02:00 PM
Needing some support this morningFirst of all, hugs to you. I know how hard it is, I've been through something very similar. It's been 3 years since I found out and I'm still dealing with their childish, cowardly choices. A lot of the advice on this sub is going to help you get through this time. You are better off without them, they've shown their true colors. Most likely you won't get that respect and truthfulness that you want. You'll get lies, blame, and excuses. You keep your head high and move on. Now is the time to focus… | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 26/05/20 02:05 PM
A observation on men and reading...My ex hated reading. He claimed he couldn't ever read more than a page of a book. That alone caused problems but he also discouraged me from reading! He'd taunt me if I'd mention something from a book that didn't agree with his view. And I did try to get him listening to audiobooks, but he didn't like that either. He was intimidated, I believe. So now I know having a partner that likes similar content is extremely important to me. And I also agree with you OP, readers can be more interesting. | 28 | Ladies, you need to have a busy life in order to maintain your FDS mentality! All the advice here doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have your career, hobbies, goals, and social life right. So share what keeps you busy and not focused on any man!Hiking, and once it's warm I'll add biking and kayaking. I read/listen to a lot of nonfiction, which I've really come to enjoy the last few years. I workout 4-5 times per week. I also try one new food or dish per week. And I try one new experience every month. This helps me grow new skills and stay socially active. I work full-time and am raising three kids. But still, I practice self care! I eat healthy, take care of my body, and meditate. All these things have become part of me, and as I grow … | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 14/02/20 11:38 PM
The attitude I’m trying really hard to have with anyone who doesn’t value me enough in my relationships.Yes!! It took me so long to learn this! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 05/02/20 06:18 PM
“Bob-the Builder” Never Wins 🚧 🔨 👷♀️I think alot of times men revert to their old behaviors! Since you can't ever really change a person. It's a waste of our precious time and health either way. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 03/02/20 11:55 AM
Facts.Exactly this! My ex begrudged the fact that I was fine with or without him. I suspect it made him feel insecure 🤷♀️ | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/01/20 02:59 PM
Damn straight!Yes!! Because once you've invested in yourself, you realize there's no reason to be around people that don't add value to your life! I love that this sub reinforces this idea. Sometimes we need the reminder and/or encouragement. Thanks all you lovely ladies! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 29/01/20 01:43 PM
STUDY: Husbands Cause More Stress To their wives than their childrenSame here! Your ex sounds like mine!! My house is much healthier now, too. The peace is incredible. I only wish we'd split up sooner, when I think of all that time I wasted! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 27/01/20 04:37 PM
What was your biggest Pickmeisha moment?Yes omg the phone hiding is a Giant. Red. Flag. My ex was fond of deleting his texts too. And we all know they trash talk to gain sympathy (and sex) . Pathetic 🙄 Glad to hear you got rid of him! And now we know better than to put up with that bullshit! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 24/01/20 08:34 PM
What was your biggest Pickmeisha moment? This was a few years ago, but I still cringe to think about it. I took back a cheater 🤦♀️ Then I stayed after I found out he was still seeing the same girl! Lesson learned, thank God. I'll never give anyone a second chance to disrespect me again. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 24/01/20 03:26 PM
Comedy hour: what is the most ridiculous thing a LVM has ever had the audacity to say to you?I was talking to a (former) male friend about how I was looking to date someone with similar values as me, as in, non-drinker/smoker, eats healthy, stays active, etc. He kept saying "You gotta give a guy a chance!" Uh, no l I really don't. Then he says "I was going to say you're a 10 but with that attitude you're maybe a 9.5" As if that was going to make me lower my standards hahahaha 😂 | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 23/01/20 07:48 PM
❤️I'm embracing it! This sub has really helped me stay strong. Just knowing that there's so many like-minded ladies out there is so encouraging! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 16/01/20 04:42 PM
Amen.Yes!! Absolutely this! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 11/01/20 06:25 PM
Recovering Pickmes-Start thinking of yourself in third person to realize how badly you've been treating yourselfThank you! This a great way to defeat unhealthy thinking patterns and habits! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 06/01/20 05:08 PM
Your male friends aren't your friendsI think the only way to avoid this is to not have male friends, period. As soon as I was single, they all came out of the woodwork omfg it was awful. One of them even said something like 'I'm trying to be first in line.' Ugh, no thank you ! | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 05/01/20 10:49 PM
Field report: leave the date if it’s unpleasantSame here! It definitely is a lot of work, but it's so worth it. My house is much more peaceful without my ex. I wish I would've left years ago, but I thought "staying for the kids' sake" was a good idea. It's not. I realized having no relationship is better than being in an unhealthy one. OP, I don't know what your situation is, but consider what you are teaching the kids by staying. That's what helped motivate me and kept me from going back. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 01/01/20 02:30 PM
