Haha, no I'm not in your area. Too bad though, you seem like a cool guy I could learn a lot from.

Date is early this week. I would've worked on my online business / studied / educated myself. On the weekends I do the same, but go to parties at night - to be honest though, I'm getting tired of it all. I'm an outdoorsy guy living in a cold concrete jungle. I love to travel and explore the world (softcore vagabonding), be with nature, etc... Hold up - I should stop being such an ungrateful prick - a quick Google search showed me there's a "New York City Stoics" meetup. If I was told to not work…

Do you use your wit to playfully let her know you won't be paying beforehand, or do you let the awkwardness fill the air when she finds out she's not getting a free meal? Would you say something like "I hope you have Dutch ancestry, cause.. (you get it)," or would you say when the bill comes "what? you thought I was going to pay for you?"

If my house was empty I would, but unfortunately that's not the case. Wines are actually a hobby of mine for almost a year now, not pretending, just enjoying myself

I've been extremely fortunate to have been exposed to the classics during my time in high school (private Jesuit). I've read Dostoevsky, Shakespeare, Homer, and a whole host of other authors I don't remember. Although I forget their names, the lessons I've taken from the novels and poems have stuck with me and served me more than I can have ever imagined, giving me a huge advantage over my peers. If you have a son, expose him to these works for his benefit.

Will I know for sure when I find this? Will it always excite me 24/7? Or will it be a dominating interest which is simply above all others and produces income, however it is not exactly fun or exciting.

Right you are. With abundance mentality I wouldn't give a shit, but damn around my town it seems like decently attractive women are going extinct. At least I'll be leaving soon, I might go monk mode and learn as much as possible before I do. Milano land of hot european chicks who love Americans, here I come.

Thanks for the reply. I've read significant sidebar material (though I could always read more, of course). Can you point me in a more specific direction? I thought I was pretty Red Pill with her, then again this is the first girl I've been active with so I have to learn through practice as well. It's probably true that deep down I still have some beta left in me, but is does that only go away after extensive experience?

That's the different between Red Pill men and PUAs. PUAs fake their success to get women to sleep with them. Red Pill men become so successful for their own benefit that women can't help notice their magnetic energy – and they can't help but use their pussy in order to tune into that energy.

This post revolves around a philosophical speed bump we all must hit -- the relationship between planning and passion; between the natural and unnatural. It's a speed bump I've hit as I've started my spiritual journey in a search for freedom, and it's one I believe I've overcome. Here are a couple of discoveries that got me over this bump. I hope you can find them useful in your quest as well. Passion is powerful, but planning is sustainable. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Our bursts of en…

Here are some rules of thumb I go by: Never open a text or snapchat in under 10 minutes, unless you're having a conversation or setting up important logistics Use read receipts Occasionally open, but not reply to texts/snaps Occasionally not open texts/snaps for a day or so Use radio silence whenever you've lost frame Engage in banter or conversation only to prime her up for meeting her next time. This will give you "convo ammo," if you will, to employ when you run out of things to say. Ex: a gi…

Don't burn out, it throws you back behind the starting line, and you've gotta crawl your way back with 0 energy and 0 drive. Easy does it, planning triumphs unsustainable bursts of work. Change is slow and gradual, remember that. It's something we all have to go through to some degree, but avoid it if you can.

Vagabonding is an incredible read. You can live 10 years on the salary of 1 year if you're clever enough.

Exactly. Life is a struggle for us men and I wouldn't have it any other way. The nature of struggle means that most won't get through, but I know that a few comrades and I will; and that makes for less competition. Cheers to being dominant leaders, deciding the fates of those too weak to decide for themselves.

It was 3 days of silence, and then I sent a snapchat of something related to what we were talking about without any text. She responded with about 50 seconds with a photo of the tv and "lol". I waited about 2 hours then sent a snapchat saying "let's hang out this weekend." She replied saying "I don't know, just got kind of sick today." So I should punish her for being flaky by not responding until this weekend, giving her one more chance to come out, right?

No, for the past month I've been wondering what the point of it all is, feeling languish and feeling depressed. I was simply thinking out loud. I wrote this hoping you'd point out holes in my thinking so that I can fix them and move on. Writing helps me think, and if thinking out loud and sharing my thoughts is offensive, I suppose I'll just stick to my notes.

Thanks for the reply. I've taken a step back and reexamined this whole thing. Let me know what you think of the following. ~~ I ~~ It is clear that perpetual elation does not exist, as pleasures are, by their very nature, fleeting; and contentment is not elation but sustained satisfaction. Elation, however, is indeed enjoyable and should not be put down; contentment is also enjoyable and should not be put down. These are two acceptable statements, but they imply something very noteworthy: one sh…

I hooked up with a girl on Saturday and have ignored her sense. I was planning on inviting her out to another party this weekend, but should I establish some contact so she doesn't forget about me and what we did? Going forward, should I act like I have a right to her (at parties), or completely ignore her and act like she's just another girl?

I'm a 17 year old from New York and I could really use some wisdom and guidance as I make my way through life. I am currently working on developing a personal philosophy, and whatever wisdom and experience I could reap from such a group would prove invaluable. This also meets the description of Napoleon Hill's "Mastermind Group," which, as history has proven, is very powerful in the achievement of one's Major (or minor) Definite Purpose. Perhaps I won't have as many stories to tell or experience…

Perhaps you've just described my problem, but perhaps it no more a "problem" than a shift in focus. When I was 14 I started an online business that grossed 30k and employed 4 people part time. Not to brag, I'm just showing that I'm serious. Now I'm 17. I've got a couple ventures on the back burner, but I'm not currently making money and I'm not currently devoting much energy to business. Instead I prefer, for the moment, to expend time and energy to: * do well in school * have a social life and …

Thank you again for the advice. I really wish there was some way to express my gratitude besides text on a screen. Being that she's probably a virgin (as I am), there are probably a couple more hoops to jump through on my end. Nonetheless it's nothing I shouldn't be able to handle. When I was 14 I focused solely on business and school, and did $30k in sales and employed 4 people part time. Now my focus has shifted to enjoying myself more: school, my social life, travel, self improvement, lifting…

Thanks, I've been running businesses on the side since I was 10, and a venture I started at 14 finally hit it big. Between school, business, and wrestling, I was burning out, so I had to cut back a bit. I did $30k in sales and employed about 4 people part time; even I was surprised. Girls were all but nonexistent during this time as well. Money was good, life wasn't. Now I'm on my last year of high school and I'll most likely attend a pretty tough university come next year to study finance. I'll…

Very in-depth and helpful analysis, thank you. You're right on the last part – I didn't have a condom on me but we could've fooled around in the bathroom; I should have been mentally ready for that. Experience will work out the kinks of my game as I continue to digest and apply TRP theory, and I'll certainly put weight on the principles you've outlined and prioritize them going forward. What should my battle plan be for this girl? Should I completely forget about her, wait for her to contact me …

For a couple of years growing up I was a shy and sad kid who thought life sucked and couldn't get what he wanted. Fuck that. TRP has changed the course of my life, and I'm not leaving.

Thanks for response man! I'm definitely over-analyzing and over-thinking things, but I guess it's all par for the course as I'm trying to put TRP into practice and, like you said, iron out the kinks. My family's not doing so well at the moment financially, but I've started several online businesses which have funded my travels and hobbies. That's another aspect of TRP I learned from you guys. What do you think of Krav Mega? I've been looking for a martial art to pursue and it sparked my interest. I'm looking for the most practical fighting system (read: optimal for street fighting) that I can learn while also keeping up with a busy schedule.

I know this is the answer, and it's probably what I need to do. But taking a risk, getting off the social track society has laid down for me, and actually putting it into practice is scary as hell. I definitely don't want to stay with my folks any longer than I have to. I'm wondering if I could rent a place across the country — then again, who would rent with a 16 year old? What kind of a social life would I have? What if I fail and am left degree-less with no job prospects? So many doubts, but …

Very well put. You and the OP have really put things into perspective for me. I'm probably a #2, but I've been brainwashed by the education and society to think that #3 is the only way to go. I'm 16 and have started a couple online businesses (to show I'm serious, I made $30k in revenues). My question for you is: should I go to college? Yessir. The road is bumpy but the pieces are slowly coming together. Right now I'm just disgusted with the media that has brainwashed a whole generation with pure propaganda. It's all part of the process.

Well put. As a 16 year old I've been brainwashed by society and the media to think that self worth is equivalent to net worth or how many girls you "get with." But recently I've discovered TRP and Stoicism (thank you, Marcus Aurelius), and all the pieces are slowly but surely coming together. Self-validation, being comfortable in your own skin, and being completely self reliant (financially, spiritually, emotionally) seem to be the only routes to true freedom and liberty.

Great post reinforcing the basic principles behind TRP. Good job. Do you think these guys would ever get approached by HB8s or anything up in that range? I'd imagine that, unless you're incredibly famous or rich, you'd still have to approach women and put yourself out there if you want to reel in the catch of the season.

Thanks for the reply. I've got a good body (6 pack) and I do have some girls text me who are obviously thirsty. I don't really take the bait though because they don't catch my eye. I think as I get older and start associating with older girls more will come as they prioritize financial worth in a partner. I go to a really tough all-boy's school, so just being around girls requires effort and pursuit. If one comes along that catches my eye I'll take the bait, but for now I'll just stay focused...
