I mean, isn't that the point of the sub? To learn how to date so its actually enjoyable for us?

I think of it like this: being a cool girl can get you a guy sure, but its never going to get you the kind of guy you want

I've always been a bit more prudish than most but the thought of oral (both giving and receiving) has never appealed to me at all.

Whatsapp and Instagram are both owned by Facebook so when you add a new contact on whatsapp the data will sync onto the other platforms. This happened to me because I communicate with the student i tutor on whatsapp, and she showed up as "suggested" on my Instagram despite having no mutual followers. I'm hoping that's how he found your ig and he didnt specifically search for you because that would be so creepy

Thats why the whole point is to create a life that makes you happy regardless of whether or not a man will be involved. Decenter men from your life. If a good one comes along then that's great but don't let the "statistics" scare you into accepting a substandard man bc you're definitely not gonna find a hvm if you're stuck spending all your time and effort in a lvm who detracts from your life

Men are the biggest liars lol. One of my exes told me he liked the songs I sent him the whole relationship until the end when he told me actually thought they were cringe. The dude was literally so spineless

The no drinking is a standard ive decided on more recently and I've been purposely dating since that point, however in my past two seriously relationships, my exes were very minimal with their alcohol consumption. Quite a few of my friends also don't drink so I'm not concerned

Its so weird to seem them continually call this kind of behavior a "bad habit" as if it isn't an intentional choice they make every time they pursue someone... really minimizing their actions. Like buddy this isn't the same as being a nail biter or smth

I mean, in the western world even if these hookers did have HIV, chances are they are getting treatment and are not transmissable anyway... in fact a lot of sex workers take PreP to avoid getting it from their clients in the first. HIV is probably the least of his concerns

There a number of things at play. Vaccines (or getting a natural covid infection) induces a high level of immune stimulation which has systemic affects on the body. This can lead to changes in menstrual cycles. mRNA vaccines are particularly immunogenic because they activate adaptive immune responses (such as killer T cells) which could explain why some women are noticing changes in their cycles more so than with other vaccine types. I would expect vaccine induced menstrual changes to be less lo…

I really like what others have mentioned so far. I dont have much to add because my experience with girls (kids and teens) is quite limited, but I try to bring the words of wisdom up naturally as they mention things in conversation. For example, I tutor a high schooler and she expressed concerns that one of her friends was "talking" to a guy in his early twenties. I was very straight with her and said any guy that age interested in high schoolers does not have good intentions and that these guys…

Really grateful for this sub. I never liked the idea of porn, it always bugged me. I used to attribute it to my religious upbringing but I had grown out if most of my other beliefs that I was raised with, why did this stick? I honestly think its intuition. If it weren't for this sub I'd probably just be blaming myself for being a prude instead of upholding this deeply-rooted standard

Agree! It's so refreshing compared to western media which is hypersexualized. Not without faults (SK is still a very misogynistic country) but the storylines are just so much more enjoyable. Crash Landing on You (on Netflix) is one of my favorites and the lead actors just got engaged 💕

If pornhub really cares so much about Ukraine, then why don't they disable all the videos and searches of "Ukranian" (since everyone knows thats the top search right now). Oh wait, they actually don't care because this is just a PR stunt that will make it so that when you google "pornhub ukranian" you won't see the tweets about the popular searches and you'll see this instead 🤡

This is interesting though I think your age range has a huge impact. I haven't used online dating for years but I did when I was about halfway through my undergrad (age 19-20) and kept my age range pretty tight. Back then pretty much everyone I saw was a full time student or working construction which i think is understandable given the ages. I'm curious to see what its like now but not curious enough to download the apps 😅

This is where the western notion of HIV being a "gay man's disease" or just a risk to people who inject drugs becomes dangerous. Unfortunately have seen this stigma perpetuated by fds users in the past. Anyway, if you have the slightest suspicion that you may have had an exposure from an untreated person living with HIV, get on post exposure prophylaxis (ARTs) ASAP. We don't have a cure for HIV now but when we do have a cure, those with the smallest intact reservoirs will be the easiest to cure.…

Went to the mall today and I saw so many men with the tiniest little Victoria's secret bag. Truly the most low effort gift because: A) any lingerie type gift is going to be for his pleasure, not hers And B) the only thing that could fit in such a tiny bag is a thong or panties... which cost like $15

I dont think "doomed" is the right word to describe a HVW remaining single... single woman have better health outcomes, longer life expectancies, and lower rates of anxiety and depression compared to our married counterparts. 100% with you about wanting cats. Cats are so important to me and they are always something I want to have in my life. If a man doesn't like cats, I actually consider it a red flag because whenever I hear the reasoning for WHY someone doesn't like cats, its always some iteration of them not liking a living being having boundaries. If a man is allergic to cats, I wouldn't call it a red flag but I still wouldn't date him because that allergy is just incompatible with the life I want to live.

Despite what the people who replied to you are saying, you are correct that this is a very real issue for women. Interesting thing about these kind of places is that they won't keep any condoms there because that can act as "proof" that there are intentions for sex in these spaces. So men including law enforcement will enjoy the "services" of these places, but as soon as a condom is found (aka something to protect the health of the sex workers) then suddenly thats enough to close the place down...

Yes! I had a long distance friendship with a man for a few months so I knew he wasn't trying to get it... literally living across the world but he totally used me for validation and attention smh. Never reciprocated. He ridiculed my interests one too many times and I never spoke to him again lol

I've been in her situation. My family and friends have said im easy to shop for, because like her, I have a lot of low cost interests. You could literally just throw a dart in an Artbox and buy whatever it hits and I would probably like it ... and yet that is somehow too much effort for men... like oh jeez thanks for the world of Warcraft t-shirt (not joking - and I dont play video games)

I absolutely hate when men use the "but I never ~asked~ you to do that" as an excuse to diminish women's labour. Like come on, it was either very implied that she would have to do these things, or she saw that you didn't step up and she has to fill in the gap where you failed.

During your date, say you're going to the bathroom and take a minute to evaluate how you feel and your impressions of the date so far. I never said it was just genitalia? There are 3 key axes used to determine sex and none of them on their own are sufficient to properly divide people into two categories. These axes are 1. Genitalia (as you mentioned 2. Chromosomes and 3. Hormones levels. Any one of these three axes can lead to a person not being considered intersex. The basis that sex has to be dichotomous and strictly divided is actually a very colonist concept, I encourage you to explore non-western knowledge systems as they …

My ex was actually very meticulous about being clean. I feel like he was quite rare in that sense. He's the type of person to eat a sandwich but hold in the packaging in such a way that his fingers wouldn't directly touch the food. He never put his backpack (we were students) on the floor and his room was always really neat. He was definitely more tidy than me. But! That didn't stop him from being a misogynist 🙂

I hope I explain this in a way that makes sense, but I think your confidence may improve if you feel a greater sense of control of your looks. Simply changing up your hairstyle can make you feel more refreshed in your look. Buying some quality everyday jewellery can make you feel more put together without trying much. Agree! I feel like online dating gets a lot of flack and is considered sub to meetin irl. In my experience, OLD often allows you to see red flags in a profile that would take longer to notice if you met in person. I think this is because a)men make their profiles to look cool to other men and b) that therefore makes them more likely to include something they wouldn't be bold enough to say irl. The shit that korean women are expected to put up with is absolutely insane, where do I even begin... The beauty standards are very strict, every single little thing has to be perfect. /r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/11/21 12:20 AM

I think this comes from some sort of subconscious belief that men typically "settle" on the women they choose to have as partners... when in reality it's the opposite. It's like "how could there not be a man who wants you" when the woman is actually too good for the men she meets and therefore doesn't WANT them... these think that women should just happily date any man who is interested in them but in reality none of the men are even worthy

I think a lot of men have heard the advice to take a women to an amusement park when just starting dating because being "scared" released endorphins that help with bonding... supposedly. I feel like horror movies are a (much cheaper) way of taking advantage of this biological response and I see that as LV. Also I think a lot of men fantasizes "comforting" their scared gf or whatever... makes them feel like a protector except they don't actually have to put themselves at risk.

To add to this, I think its important to keep in mind that a man's ego is stroked when he think he has done something impressive to other men, not women. I'd say most women * don't * find it cool or impressive when a man has slept around with a lot of women. The guy's bros, however, will congratulate him for adding +1 to his list.

I kinda died when I saw this on tiktok... it really over simplifies a very nuanced conversation and creates an unnecessary dichotomy... She also really minimized the risks associated with women having sex too.. like its not just because its taboo to have multiple partners... there's PREGNANCY??? and also in penile-vaginal sex, the vagina is at a way higher risk of getting STIs... there's a lot more at stake for women and it is not equivalent to men feeling pressured to not express their emotions…

This is so true. Even when my standards were low, that never stopped me from longing for more. Just because I said I didn't need flowers, that didn't stop me from fantasizing about getting them.. and from being internally disappointed when I saw other people receive this treatment but not me. What kind of phrasing did you use when proposing the call? I really like the idea but idk how to bring it up in a natural way...

Lmao only 2 people in the world have been cured of HIV nvjnshcnsncjsjxb its not an easy thing to do... I've worked in a couple HIV cure labs and the world is quite a bit away from a cure unfortunately. The suppressive medication is really good but also requires super strict adherence

This reminds me of a post I read of a gal looking for local cheap dental work because her boyfriends teeth were rotting out because be hadn't been to the dentist for years because he was "scared". He was also unemployed and she was worried about the expenses they (together!) would have to pay... I couldn't believe it. She said she couldn't sit too close to him because his breath smelled so bad 🤮🤮🤮🤮 and of course he couldn't even look for a dentist himself and had to get his mommygf to ask online…

Even when consuming high quality media it is important for every person to have a hobby outside of consuming media that leans more creative. Myself and a lot of my friends are into crocheting and knitting, another friend into plants, another sewing. Bullet Journaling, painting, pottery. Its important as we grow older to stretch our creative muscle and develop more skills

I feel like a ring also signifies a form of commitment. With a wedding there is both a legal and financial commitment but for engagement, a guy could just "propose" whenever without really meaning it and not face and consequences if he doesn't follow through... a ring signifies some degree of seriousness to the proposal

I dont trust guys with a really veiny dominant hand unless there's some occupational reason (eg a pianist). Guys who play video games too much also tend to have veiny hands so its kind of a two in one red flag

The "standards" that I had that I thought were "too high" when I was a pickleme... pathetically low 😅 men will try to have you believe that ANY standard is too high and makes you superficial 🤡

Its funny because these are the men who also say that women live life on easy mode and can always get sex whereas their lives are soooo hard because they have to put in some effort. They say these things at the same time but don't see the contradiction??? I think that they actually realize that fds is not nearly as bad but they dont like it so they try to drag it down by creating a false equivalency to incels (which they know are bad)

Even in my extreme pick me days I thought they were a bad date idea like I dont like drinking much ESPECIALLY with people I dont know well He could just be trying to get me drunk or trying to drug my drink I don't want my cognition to be compromised while I'm trying to figure out if I like someone And now, I Also see it as the low effort date that it is thanks to fds

Yea wtf is with men... the are so willing to lie over the stupidest shit and are so patronizing about it. One of my exes lied to me about liking a song I recommended to him?? Like literally one of the easiest things to tell the truth over... but of course it was a pattern. He would lie about little things like that but also big things like who he was hanging out with...

God this reminds me of those scenes in movies of when a women is at "rock bottom" sitting on her couch in little shorts and a lingerie top smoking with slightly smudged eyeliner.... I hate this message that we are constantly supposed to look desirable to men. Constantly. Even in our own homes or in our greatest personal crises we are supposed to look cute. I'm over it.

I'd like to extend this to living spacing/interior design too. What is it with men-designed spaces that are so ugly? Like oh jeez 10 different tones of grey this is peak interior design 🙄. Ugly bloated leather couches, GAMING CHAIRS , a framed jersey on the wall for some reason give me a break. I hate the whole aesthetic and honestly it deters me from dating men because I dont want that style in my own space. I want my future place to be filled to the brim with femininity and my own charming sty…

For me im quite picky about the style of ring so they would have to have seen what my style is. I would like the teardrop style and preferably not a 'real' diamond but rather a lab made one. In regards to the proposal, I agree with many others on here that I dont want it in an overly public place, but it should be still thoughtfully planned. I also don't want the proposal to come after little to know prior discussions of marriage. The 'suprise' aspect of the proposal should be "when and where" n…

-at least an inch taller than me but not taller than like 6'2" (taller than that freaks me out idk why) -full head of dark hair (not too short) -no body odor (before lurkers cry that this is impossible, it's not. My ex didn't have to wear deodorant even on a hot day and pits smelled like nothing) -wears spf -no facial hair -"pretty" face -no overly veiny hands (i see it as a sign of porn addiction or video game addiction)

I definitely won't. First of all the paper work seems like a huge hassle.. changing all the bank documents and bills and all that ... what a nightmare. Second, im pursuing academic research as a career and have already published papers with MY name. Its hard to keep track of everything if I end up going by two different names in the course of a career.
