Think she's got a lawsuit against the patriarchy? After all, she almost died!
/r/MGTOW21/06/17 09:29 PM

True dat. There are several books like Rules for Radicals that espouse that very tactic. For example, before the Clintons we never spoke of anything called an 'assault weapon'; now if it's anything more advanced than a muzzle loading, flintlock blunderbuss, it's an assault rifle. Further, what are "reproductive rights"? Those words are enshrined NOWHERE in our Constitution, yet it seems these "reproductive rights" crop up in virtually every political discourse. What makes that one particularly a…

That, specifically, is the paragraph that caused me to post the article. She's actually proud that she's fucking things up for others. But then again I'm forgetting that life on this planet is all about her. Silly me. +1

No, publicists are for that guy taking Viagra who has an erection lasting more than four hours.

Yeah, the best we can hope for is that one day she's interviewing for the job of her dreams and the HR guy says, "Wait a minute...I saw a story about you Ms DiPaolo! Aren't you the kid who didn't believe that rules applied to you? I'm sorry...we have no position to offer you at this time. Sorry. NEXT!"

Judges can be notoriously fickle as well, and I'd far rather have an attorney speaking on my behalf than be standing there in front of a judge saying, "some guys on the internet said that this is what I should do!"

Now we arrive at the crux of the matter. Those women don't want him in jail; they want him in civil court where the burden of proof is lower. That's where the pot o' gold lies. Now they'll all pile on.

Speaking as a man who was MGTOW since long before the term existed, I can authoritatively say, "Who cares?".

It's also darkest just before it goes pitch black. The OP should be talking with competent legal counsel before he even scratches his nose again. Now I'm not suggesting that the advice given here isn't good and well meaning. What I'm saying is that you should be documenting everything and finding an attorney in your jurisdiction.

I don't know if he did anything wrong or not, and frankly I don't care. I do wonder however why it took strong, independent women 15 years to report these alleged assaults.

I was thinking more along the lines of 6 to 8 weeks of community service. After all, she's young and a girl so why ruin her life? Ah well, that poor kid is still dead and she'll never feel any remorse.

I'm sure that your remarks are heartfelt, albeit misguided. The one core principle that feminists universally reject is that if we're to reach any consensus, it MUST start with being decent and civil to each other. No more than that. Yet that seems to be impossible for your ilk. Until then keep your faux sympathy and your crocodile tears...I for one will have none of it.

Another old favorite of mine. Clapton's guitar is not nearly as flamboyant as usual, but it certainly sets the tone. It seems to suggest to me that it's autobiographical, and he's telling the story of a relationship ending, and the man is the only one hurt, and further, he has no idea why. Enjoy! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c80PFqNCAJs

Quite right. On a square rigged ship the steering gear was above the rudder so that's where they'd conn the ship. It was all the way in the stern or back of the ship. The French word for 'stern' is 'poupe', hence the origin of the name.

Dad died on my birthday back in 1988, and Mom died in 2013, just shy of her 98th birthday. I had her living with me for the last several years of her life, and she mourned for my father 'til the day she died. She was the fabled unicorn for Dad.

As I've mentioned before, my beloved father was an absolutely brilliant man, considering he had limited formal education. That was not entirely unique for men of the depression. I was a teen, probably 15-16 years old, and of course my hormones were clanging like a fire alarm. One evening Dad grabbed 2 beers out of the icebox and said, "Come on out to the yard. I'd like to talk with you." This, I believe, was the first time I ever drank alcohol in front of Dad, so I was a little bewildered. Well,…

YOU GO GIRL! There's something that I never imagined I'd say. She's 100% correct, although for reasons that she'd never imagined, and I think will become painfully obvious as the Wall starts to loom larger. (As an aside, I've heard divorce called many things but "an annoyance" was never one of them. Whatever.) Concluding, its interesting to see how much control she believes she exerts. I'd like to hear what she thinks as that illusion evaporates. Interesting indeed. +1

You could be right. I've long harbored the idea that women are fundamentally incapable of any kind of long term planning. Is that due to environment/education or genetics? Who can say? But ask yourself how many times you've known or seen women buy something that they don't even need because it's on the 50% rack and use their rent money to do it? And in my experience that's the rule rather than the exception. Then comes the woe is me attitude, as if it was someone else's fault.

A question. We seem to have an example here of women being guaranteed some most senior level positions in corporate Japan regardless of qualifications. A golden gift on a silver platter. Fine. Why is there ALWAYS a caveat in these stories no matter where it's taking place, "so-and-so commented that this is an important step, but much more still needs to be done!". This from a man who's never been married, nor had any children that I know of. So yes, I'm an outsider. With that out of the way, I know the in the US, if you set up an account for a minor (an education IRA for example) there is a fiduciary responsibility that goes along with it and at some point you might well be called to account for your stewardship of those monies. I've joined a local gym, literally,a few days ago. I changed my eating habits last November, and lost a LOT of weight. As a result, I now need to bulk back up. I live in the DeepSouth and while winter is beautiful around here, it's now getting into the low to mid 90s so outside exercise ain't gonna happen. So I'm going to learn how to weight train. I realize that you don't know. I asked for some citations to back your claim. Your answer? Egyptian writings. Nothing more than that. I made a statement regarding the Ten Commandments. Your comeback was that the Ten Commandments are not original. So what? What's your point? It must be that you think my statement is invalid. Otherwise, all you're doing is showing your ass. So which is it?

She's as funny as a cry for help, and she has a face like a busted off EZ Out. So what kind of career loss are we talking about here? Just so! And a casual glance at the history of socialism shows that other than VERY small units, hasn't worked in the past, isn't working now, and will never work in the future. This silly little thing called 'human nature' gets in the way, and human nature hasn't changed one iota since Adam & Eve. Technology changes; human nature? Not so much, no.

I think he was married to Faustina, and under Roman law, she was also his sister. (Keep in mind that the Roman political aristocracy, people were 'adopted' by the powers-that-be to satisfy political exigency, and Marcus had been adopted by Hadrian, if memory serves, making Faustina his sister under the law. So who knows?). In any event, I didn't know of her adulterous relationships but it certainly is in keeping with the mores of the day.

You're quite correct, and that's the law. I've been confused by the whole "wage gap" thing since I first heard it, so I researched and asked questions. It seems the argument is not about a man and a woman doing effectively the same job, but rather ALL women vs ALL men, irrespective of job, experience, hours worked, etc. in a nutshell, they're trying to compare an astrophysicist at Cal Tech with a PhD to a school crossing guard, a specious argument at best. That's how idiotic things have gotten.

With respect, I have a friend going through it right now. There was an allegation, which by the way was easily proven false, but the damage was done...the accusation was headlines, nothing about the retraction. His business around here is effectively ruined. How can he "not let it" destroy him?

An allegation, which in the case of rape and sexual assault, is tantamount to a conviction.

With all due respect, that's not entirely accurate. The Apostle Paul and Gallio (Seneca's brother) were not acquaintences...Gallio was a kind of sub consul of Rome, and the Jews in Corinth had brought charges against Paul. The charge was brought before Gallio who displayed Rome's indifference to all things perceived as Jewish or of the Jews. This was around 50AD, shortly after the death of Jesus. Now beginning with Nero (for whom Seneca had been a tutor), philosophical thought was 'discouraged' …

I was in Augusta Bay, Sicily one time and was just wandering the streets this night and I came upon a little grocery store that was open. They had a large display cooler loaded with cheese. Now the lady didn't speak any English, nor I any Italian. She gave me some samples, apparently to see what I liked. Man, did I leave there with a load of cheese! Didn't cost me much either. When we sailed, I had some nice cheese every evening for the entire patrol. Good times.

This isn't exactly on topic, but it's close. When starting a company, avoid romantic entanglements. You should take a week off and take me on a cruise so you can relax!"

Ya know what? I'm going to get flamed for this, but GOOD FOR THEM! A colleague asked for help and these guys stepped up. There's an old axiom about speed guys...race car dirivers, motorcycle guys, dragster pilots among many others. To wit: When you're headed out towards the edge remember...the only ones who know exactly where the edge is are the ones who have gone over it. Marriage could be said to follow the same rules. The only ones who know that they're fucking up are the ones who have already done so.

THERE IT IS! All of the bitching and moaning about women that we do can be solved with the one simple phrase, "I don't care". If we could, collectively, adopt this philosophy we could move on. You don't make enough money, Sugarplum? I don't care. Glass ceiling and you can't get promoted? I don't care. You're a single mother and think that someone else should raise your rugrats for you? You guessed it! I don't care.

Typically scientists working for large liberal universities are paid to espouse falsehoods at the other end of the spectrum. So what's to be done about it? I think it's a great idea! My TV hasn't been hooked up for years anyway. If women take over on television, programming will consist of the Hallmark channel, HSN and Lifetime, all of which would soon spin in and TV as we know it would be over. You keep doing what you keep doing, you're going to keep getting what you keep getting. A lot of what I have to say applies to men as well as women, but for the moment I'll address my comments to women. 1) You keep asking where the good men have gone. It seems to me that if they wanted you to know, you would have been told. The fact that you weren't told would suggest to me that the problem is YOU. Take a look at your behavior vis-a-vis the male of the species. It might surprise you to learn tha…

It's like reading about the Kardashians. I'm always amazed by what some people think are problems. As to Hollywood and politics, why do people whose most notable talent is to pretend to be someone else think that their opinion on politics is more valid than ours? I'd also like to know from those who vowed to leave the country, how far along with the process are you? Already gone or close to leaving? Sorry for the rant.

That would be more true of George Westinghouse, as he was the one who ran with alternating current. Edison favored direct current. Aside from that, all inventors stand on the shoulders of those who came before, so it's unfair to say (in most cases) that someone "stole" all of someone else's work.

I read somewhere recently (it might have been on these boards) that someone did a survey where women were asked if they met the man of their dreams, and he actually turned out to be the man of their dreams, and he gave her everything she could possibly want both materially and emotionally, would they be satisfied if he refused to marry and they universally said no. If that doesn't convince someone that marriage is a scam, nothing will.

Consider, however, how many men marry and divorce multiple times. (I know, I know...there's no need to state the obvious there!). These guys are entering the 1/2 calculation multiple times. So their percentage of loss can and probably will be substantially higher. My point is that statistically, it's not really a straight line calculation; there are many other variables which will make the total wealth transfer significantly higher.

I agree completely with you guys. The author gets it; my point of divergence (and I suspect for all of us) is that the author says there is work to be done in this relationship arena. My first question for Amber would be about how many times she's been married, followed closely by how many partners she's had.

Oh, that one's easy. "Hey Honey! Why don't we just buy a couple dozen, and I'll keep the rest. You know...just in case while you're away. Or even when you're back."
/r/MGTOW15/04/17 03:23 PM

Make no mistake...I wholeheartedly agree. The problem, however, kicks in when the judge says, "This court is only interested in the welfare of the child. Since you, sir, assumed the position of guardian the child's welfare is YOUR responsibility." Consider please: the judge needs to find a source of income for the child. He's got ten more of these cases right behind you. It's almost lunch and he's got a 2 pm tee time. QED.

We've been trying your plan since Lyndon Johnson's Great Society, roughly half a century ago. It hasn't worked, and in fact has gotten worse. So tell me again why we should keep doing it.

If you keep putting out a free lunch sign, your pantry is always going to be empty. I don't mind paying my share, but it's not my responsibility to pay yours as well. As to my sense of duty to my countrymen, well let's say that I've paid it Sonny, in spades. FWE
/r/MGTOW14/04/17 10:33 PM

Well, you are the one saying the I 'should' continue to pay for these services. Why isn't that futile in your opinion? You seem pretty generous with my money. Perhaps since you're in favor of it you might want to be one of the people who funds it?
/r/MGTOW14/04/17 09:18 PM

Where in all of this did I say "Everyone should........."? Further, are you opposed to people taking responsibility for their own actions?
/r/MGTOW14/04/17 09:07 PM

It's not an either/or proposition. There are numerous alternatives to your two choices. Let me suggest one: STOP FUCKING UNTIL YOU CAN AFFORD THE POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES!

Speaking as a white man, I'd go along with that. Of course, the day that happened would likely be the last they'd ever see of me. Or millions of men like me. And I wouldn't be back at the end of the disenfranchisement period. The author of the piece should read Atlas Shrugged.

Interestingly, nothing has changed save our vantage point. And that, my friends, makes all the difference. From a moral perspective, it makes it appropriate to use and discard women if you should so choose. Personally, I prefer to be polite, be correct, but otherwise ignore their existence. Life is far more peaceful, and at my age that's about all I want any more. +1 in any event.

Now that you mention it, I do recall something on that, two or three years ago I think. Again, as wrong as it could be but could have been avoided. Suddenly, the mission of the weapon is no longer simply defense of the nation but rather the defense of the nation as long as it's in a trendy, new age, PC kind of way. There's quite a bit in that article that would get me personally to politely tell her that I'm not a guy that she'd be interested in, and if she persisted would turn into something like, "Evaporate, Twinkle Twat. I'm not interested in you! 5x5 got it? Good." But the one that really gets me (and they all say it) is, "Men are deep down REALLY afraid of women." In the US, business effectively already has gender quotas, and it's been done in a truly sinister way. It hasn't been legislated, but rather been done through the courts. Any subjective measure that an employer might use in making employment and/or promotion decisions is subject to question through the lens of gender. An employer should be able to make these decisions based solely upon which employee could reasonably be expected to be a bigger asset to the company. However, should that decision …

If you want to spin the roulette wheel day trading, go ahead. But I'd far rather hear of you finding a good CPA or tax attorney. As an aside, most of the women in my experience are not any good at sex. Oh, they're good at telling you what they want but going the other way, not so much. The old saying about sex from men's perspective, when it's good, it's great and when it's bad, it's still pretty good. My view anymore is that there's nothing as overrated as a lousy piece of ass, and nothing as underrated as a good shit.

So any time we were out with friends, she would start loudly proclaiming, "Who needs men? I don't need any man!" Well I mentioned to her that I found it somewhat unpleasant. Her response? Next, he's trying to make the case that because a man backs away from the concept of marriage due to his (legitimate) fears of having his life ruined he's somehow a flawed individual. Do I understand this correctly? If a woman is raped, she's entitled to all of her medical expenses, a blow-by-blow report on the arrest and prosecution of the culprit, counseling for the remainder of time and all incidental expenses? Back in the day a dinner and a movie night would get you a, "Thanks! I had a lovely evening" regardless of what happened between you later. Over the course of my career in the Service, I had the privilege of serving with many men of distinction of all races and colors; racial animus had no place among us. It disgusts me no end to see this nonsense being foisted upon us by people who HAVEN'T A CLUE about who or what they're talking about. Bless you brother, and may we live to see better days.

Happy to! Let's consider 'reproductive rights' for example. (I don't know the origin of these rights, as they are enshrined nowhere in our Constitution. But I digress.). Women effectively make all of the choices with regard to procreation. They can easily withhold the knowledge of their ovulation timing from their partner. Once pregnant, however, the input of their partner (no pun intended) has effectively ended. The father legally has nothing to say about whether or not to abort, and really has…

There is a simple distinction between two facts that never seems to make it into discussions regarding feminism. 1) Men and women already are equal in the eyes of the law in the United States. It's been illegal to discriminate based on race, gender, religion and place of national origin for many years now. 2) Men and women are not the same. We're physically and intellectually different. Dramatically different. Here's where this starts to get weird. Feminists are trying to blur the distinction. T…

I honestly don't get it. I've been riding around the sun for a long time now and I never once heard of an idea that was so dangerous that it couldn't even be talked about! I'm aware of what you're stating. My point is that once the club owners see that the women are flocking to where the men are, they'll realize that they don't have to offer any ladies (and I use the term loosely) discounts. Truthfully, I think it will come from the other direction. I read an article within the last couple of days where Republican legislators were having to have police protection when attending public function and some were even having to hire security at their residences. Apparently some on the radical Left are teaching 'disruption' and publishing the addresses and schedules of these same legislators. Pure Saul Alinsky. In any event I think the violence will originate from the left.

The latest statistic that I've heard is that roughly 50% of marriages end in divorce. So basically it's a coin toss. Now, if we weren't snoozing through Prob & Stat 101, we can deduce that the best case scenario in this coin toss is that you get married and share what you've got already and what you will get. And that assumes that you WIN the toss. If you lose the coin toss, you could conceivably lose everything that you have already as well as a significant portion of what you will earn in the …

AMEN! I just read an article somewhere that one of the feminist organizations (feminist organization? Is that a contradiction in terms?) wants to hold their protest on February 17. OK, I must have missed it. The Hag is touting the amazing achievements of the Women's March that "galvanized" people around the world. My question is other than everyone waving signs, what did it actually accomplish? Letting us know that women are upset? We all already knew that. That they can walk and shout at the same time? We already knew that too. That they're so powerful and self sufficient that they can demand that we give them stuff without doing anything in return? Yup, been hearing that…

With all due respect, that number is more than likely a little low. BLS being a government entity doesn't handle statistical reporting the same way normal humans do. A simple example would be that one figure they use is the number of workers collecting unemployment insurance benefits. Once the benefits and extensions end, the worker is deemed no longer unemployed. Naturally any subsequent calculus that relies on this statistic starts to deviate and each subsequent month the deviation gets progre…

As I see it, prostitution is a religious/moral issue. The state has no business whatsoever trying to legislate morality. Therefor, if the state wishes to involve itself at all (which it ALWAYS seems to want to) it should only to the extent that the public is protected, i.e. the Health Department and of course the Department of Revenue. As to anything else it should be solely at the discretion of the individual. As an aside, I've long suspected that women oppose it on the grounds that someone is …

I find it interesting that I didn't see the word 'love' mentioned anywhere. I might have missed it as I glossed over the last half of the article, but my point is that love is the best and perhaps the only viable reason on which to base a solid marriage. I do get the allegory...indeed, I enjoy the mental image of a battalion or even worse a division dressed in pink marching into(?) battle, Hello Kitty battle standard fluttering in the breeze. How did the photo turn out? I used to have a cartoon of a guy sitting on the hood of the car out in the desert somewhere, and his wife is bent down with the camera to take a picture of a coiled rattlesnake. He's sitting there and he tells the wife, "When they rattle like that it means they want you to pet them, Dear." Even just thinking about that never gets old!

I recall a story on 60 Minutes a number of years ago where a married couple divorced at the end of the year, filed their taxes separately, then re-married in the new year. It didn't end happily, however. When the IRS saw the story, they investigated and they ended up charging the couple with tax evasion, or some such.
/r/MGTOW20/12/16 03:21 PM

I stand corrected! That's certainly good to know. A question: Has there been anything enacted to replace it? I can hardly imagine women letting something like that go without a fight. If a man and woman cohabitant for x years and then split, is she "entitled" to anything under law?
/r/MGTOW20/12/16 03:18 PM

That's certainly true, but there's a legal construct known as 'common law marriage' that has existed for some time, and as I understand it has been expanded upon greatly over these last few years. Perhaps some of our legal eagle brethren here could weigh in on this, but I believe caution is warranted even on cohabitation. This is, in my opinion, true. As men, more and more of us should start our own businesses, and make sure we can run them as a sole proprietors. From there we can control the level and timing of our businesses. We can ally with others whose businesses overlap with our own. The Clintons have fallen and it's time for all of them to fade into the obscurity that they so richly deserve. Personally, I no longer care about the 'home brew server" and all of its attendant nonsense. I just hope that the incoming AG and the career DoJ go after the Clinton Foundation and fine it out of existence. The Clintons left penniless is a more profound punishment then even jail time. Then watch how fast their political ally rattlesnakes throw them under the bus.

Practically speaking I don't know how it could work, but don't you think that the charges against the one filing the false report should reflect the severity of the alleged crime being falsely reported? In other words, if she falsely reported a man jay walking she should get a ticket, but charging someone falsely with a major felony (attempted murder, assault and battery, rape, robbery) should be met with felony charges as well. I think it would keep the bar high, as the charge alone could haunt…

Can it be that these people still don't get it??? Despite all the talk, all the gestures, all of the nonsense of this presidential campaign, Mr. Trump was the only candidate who effectively said to the American people, "We're in a mess.
