It's a preference thing no doubt. If I've worked a long day, after cooking dinner the last thing I want to do is any kind of additional work. I suppose if she had just done all the clean freak shit herself, I wouldn't have minded but she was also trying to get me to join her like 'Help me with this it will be fast' and it would be like 'Or maybe cleaning the table when you just did it three days ago and there's barely a streak on it' is extreme.

In the prior relationship, we lived together so it was 'our place.' With the FWB, my place. She kind of played it up as 'I want to keep it clean for you.'

Imagine this hypothetical-- same guy on dating site but one has profile pictures that could be anywhere while same guy 2.0 has dating pics which suggest a luxurious lifestyle. Do you think guy 2.0 gets a lot more replies and, if so, are they of the 'wrong kind of pussy' you mention... because yeah I want to avoid that, although I guess short term attracting 'i want money' girls would be fine for something casual.

Ah okay well shit I don't have any great specific advice. Some girls are just crazy bitches. Why they selected you to try and mess with, I have no clue but ignoring them as much as possible is probably your best option.

Dude have you ever heard of the author John Tierney. He does a lot of stuff on politics people may or not agree with but he wrote a book on negativity that is not particularly political. It's mostly just based on the idea that our brains are far impacted by negative experiences than positive ones. He says something like you need 4 to 1 good to bad experiences to be happy in a relationship or something and I guess they do do experiments where people read reviews and they can get a lot of good one…

I remember some dude got mad downvoted in a thread on r relationships for saying it was normal for guys to want to fuck 18 year olds. The 'nuanced' position was it was okay to fantasize about it maybe but wrong to go for it in real life. It's insane.

Sounds kind of bad but definitely needs more context. How long have you been together for starters

I'd tend to agree but riddle me this: I was at a wedding before covid hit and I kid you not the groom's whole speech was how hard he pursued his now wife. It was like 'I'd come out with excuses to talk to her and text her' and so on. Wife is easily an 8, more cute than sexy but truly a very attractive face and I was like 'Damn does Red Pill not apply' or some shit. My guess though is that because he is also reasonably attractive and is financially well off that she still has the impression that …

Haha I was using it as a bit of a joke term but the idea of the Chad so you know very good looking square jaw fit and muscular. It seems like the LDR is destined for some level of pain and boredom.

I'm not sure but probably less than you! You are quite right about the volume aspect.

Yup. If you're not sure of you how can she be sure of you. I think it's also a matter of perspective. You can be confident, improve yourself, dress well, and do all the right approaches but you're still not going to be fucking girls like you're Hugh Hefner. And, as for long-term relationships, I've worked with a bunch of 'Chad' like guys who complain about not getting enough sex or boring sex their girlfriends being bitchy over minor things. It's like so many people expect to go from nothing to …

How would you rate your looks 1-10 (honest self assessment time lol). I've been out with my cousin who is a good fucking looking guy (solid 8) and confident and he's done a lot of what you say and gotten a lot of 'Thanks' and made out with two girls but never sex. He's never gotten a cold 'Okay thanks fuck off' vibe but also no big success either.

No that's not the type i had in mind. I mean guys who aren't super nice guy-ey but still frustrated because they can't get girls or at least the type of girls they want and they're like 'I'm a good dude.'

Here's the thing: I hear a lot of guys saying 'I'm a super good guy' or something along these lines. Unfortunately for you, there are guys with good careers and good looks who are also good guys. Just the way it is.

To be clear you just walked up to a girl straight up and tell her 'she's gorgeous....' I've never tried this because I thought it best to stay away from immediate compliments like this but hey you got a good result at least.

This is good advice and you know I probably had it in my mind and then, if only unconsciously, doing what you said and her being like 'Um I'm at my work' or just 'No' or whatever. It's so funny because that would have meant me leaving without her number but... I left without her number anyway.

It depends. Before lockdown me and my buddy went out with my female cousin and I was in a relationship then but he was out there going after anything that moved and my cousin was like 'Oh man he's coming off as creepy with the way he does it.' And I was going to say off-putting but creepy was not entirely off and she told him this and at first he was like 'Really come on not seriously...' but then he changed his approach and it has paid off. I would revise your statement to don't accept the bull…

A bit hard to evaluate your question without greater context. For instance, I can imagine that someone with a good (but perhaps not great) job and okay (but perhaps not good, let alone great looks; you said you take care of yourself looks wise but is that an indirect way of saying you are reasonably attractive or...) might have a tough time in NYC or San Fransisco but less so in like, I don't know, Cleveland. You also have to think of it in terms of sample size. How many girls have you tried to …

Haha alright here's a tip: when you feel like you might not be able to hold it, imagine a song in your head and just start going with it. Sing the lyrics to yourself. It will get you out of that feeling without grossing you out (the old grandmother suggestion tends to do that). You might still get a little less hard though but it's probably worth it. You can also stop pentetration for a second and play with her if she's into that. I've found doing-- based on my ex-- that gets her even hotter whe…

Generally agree with you OP. Good post. Women are complicated; they are puzzles to themselves often and when you can understand them you stand a good chance of undressing them. Not that sex is always the objective but getting them and getting with them do tend to go hand in hand.

It's complicated. I would say guys need the basics of game. Generic compliments, try hard-ism, and conformity embracing nice guy-ness are all bad. Confidence, distinction, being a funny charming semi- jerk (but not a true abusive asshole) are all good. Beyond that, you probably are better off just going with the moment as best you can. If you try to run each interaction like you're playing an actual game, I think you could fuck things up.

Damn that's interesting. Nordic women are intimidatingly attractive though to me so this might calm my approach anxiety when I go there.

I mean I'm a feminist to the extent that I believe women should have equal rights lol but the movement has been warped by lunatics so I would never call myself that. My ex gf called herself a feminist and it could be annoying in some ways (we'd disagree on this and that) but she wasn't sexually conservative in the 'I'm not doing that it's degrading sort of way' and she didn't think all the bad things in the world were because of men.

Yeah an interesting post. Do you (or OP feel free to weight in of course) think young profs with tenured jobs at good schools do quite well with girls all else being equal. I imagine they would.

Interesting. But from the perspective of someone who wants something relatively casual, is it not the case then that Eastern European women aren't particularly good draw from that angle... since you said the whole husband material thing.

Interesting observations but I would disagree that most Western women are super feminist, at least not in the radical sense.

Haha that is true for sure. But American men I find are pretty friendly. Maybe in a loud way lol and can be a bit in your face but friendly. But American women are pretty matter of fact bordering on cold if they are not into you (this applies in social situations of course; in the service sector for instance they are very much nice and all, sometimes to the point of overdoing it). I think, to a lesser extent but still, they are like this with other women too.
