never read deleuze.. And yeah i get the idea that you can be both, but considering the context, it's not possible. I'll explain, here masculinity is synonymous to priviledge, the concept of priviledge or opression isn't gender neutral, because feminism is gendered. For exemple, when talking about rape, it's gendered, Evil is the male and good victim is the women, that's the reason why things like made to penetrate is so hard for them to actually acknowledge.

it would be true if the notion of oppression and priviledge was gender neutral, but it isn't. Men equate to priviledge, woman equate to opressed. That's their status quo, which always defended by their policies or media sensibilisation on a topic related to feminism. You attribute a more nuance view that is nothing more than a fantasy. It would be known if feminist treated men's problem as they treat theirs, but to do that they would need to admit that we have problems, which they do only if it …

irrelevant to prove me wrong, because the individuals are participating to a speed dating . They are put in a context. What i mean is, the way a woman choose a mate in a date (in the context of a speed dating) is different than the way she choose a mate to access to a date in casual life. To add up, participants didn't choose which participants would be at the speed dating event, they had to pick the ones they wanted after dating them in brief amount of time, and that's it. So, it doesn't say an…

"No, because dating apps don't really mimic what happens in real life, except maybe at low acquaintence level" I kinda disagree, Dating Apps give people the opportunity to act more accordingly to their desire, just because you have more choice, if your a woman. So yes, it's different than real life, but not in the way you think, it just give people the abillity to act more freely according to their desire, which would be limited to your environment in real life. "In an app where you have an un…

"Why weren't the women in these studies claming to want, on average, a man who was at least a 8/10 (top 20% men)?" Whether it is men or woman, you cannot really trust what people say as far as what they desire in terms of smv, you can use this, but it certainly not an accurate method. The most accurate way to mesure what people actually want as far as smv is data from numerous of dating apps, which function primarly of peoples looks. Basically trust what people do first. People can claim what th…

"an average of 7/10 SMV yet want a 6/10 SMV man" if this was true, dating app would not show that most woman are competing for a minority of men as far as attractivness. And we would not find the same pattern, when we look up to app where woman/men ratio are fairly the same. "and plenty of statistical datal showing that people end up with those of similar value" Yes, but who you end up with doesn't actually neglect hypergamy, it just tell who you end up with. Hypergamy don't give prediction ab…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
