Regardless of your thoughts on the issue - and peoples' preferences are valid, don't let anyone tell you otherwise - you can just move on instead of being rude to people on apps

Try more targeted areas. Say hi to someone in line for a pretzel. See if someone pauses in front of a movie poster. Look for someone looking at one of the stands in the middle of the mall (as opposed to walking in the middle of traffic). It's also a lot easier if you happen to be going the same way as the person, rather than stopping them in a head on "confrontation".

To add to this excellent advice: there is something about you that is coming across better in person than on the internet. Maybe your pictures come across as uninteresting, maybe your best physical features are downplayed (clothing not showing muscles for a gym rat, for example), maybe you're more interesting to talk to in person and can't express that in text. If possible, you'll want to figure that out. There's also the problem that 9s and 10s are just swamped online.

She seemed emotionally reserved and more logical, which clashed with my depth Based on this, she never liked you that much (unless you actually were dating a Vulcan). You're probably right about not becoming too invested too quickly. The worst rejection I ever had to handle was when it felt like we hit it off right away, so I started acting like it was a real thing after just a couple weeks, and I immediately scared her away. You gotta give things time to grow. Also, always need to remember - li…

We've been together about 13 years now I guess, not married that whole time. Supermarket. I was shopping for a party I was hosting (DHV in old timey slang!) She wasn't able to make the party, but we set up a lunch date a few days later, and things just sort of kept going from there. Random aside, googled DHV to see what it had to say: Display of Higher Value (DHV) in the Incel Community oh no

There's also your own personal comfort to think about. If you don't shoot for the first date lay, you'll definitely miss out on women who expect that or even want that, but you'll also be more in tune with women who like to go a little slower. I say that completely without judgment either way. I've definitely missed opportunities going to slow, and by the same token I've pushed away women by expecting too much too soon. (Or maybe that just helped clarify the situation when a woman wasn't actuall…

I think there's a non-zero chance she wants a relationship, but clearly you're not in the casual fuck category. You can try continuing to date her while still dating other women. If you get needy about the dating or possible relationship, you'll kill it for sure

He's very clearly saying to let her establish boundaries and not be stalkerish if she rejects the guy: Accept it, move on and find the ones that are [available]. Accept it, move on and find ones that do want to speak to you. and try to avoid being creepy: Maybe you’re not smiling and giving off scary serial killer vibes… and acknowledging that if she's not interested, it's entirely her choice to feel that way: A girl that we don’t know…. that doesn’t owe us anything… So ultimately he's trying to…

Let's be better than this kind of comment. The whole purpose of this sub is to help people who have difficulty meeting people they are romantically (or sexually) interested in. Step 1 of any new relationship is approaching for the first time. I think you are underestimating just how difficult that is for a lot of people here. You are absolutely right that some level of personal connection works much better as part of a cold approach. There's also the concept of planning out some time to meet or a short hangout, either immediately or soon after. I met my wife doing exactly that - approach, make some personal connection, plan lunch for later that week
/r/seduction18/02/24 09:15 AM

If you're in a happy relationship, good for you. The "you" can be interpreted to be a generic "you" who might need that advice, then, same way you used it in a phrase such as "something that matters to you". I'm not too concerned about it being a red flag if I assume someone asking for dating advice about a specific scenario is actually looking for dating advice about that specific scenario
/r/seduction26/01/24 04:03 PM

How do you consistently date kind, beautiful women? How do you meet them, how do you get them to commit to you over thousands of other options? It would help if you identify and correct your own red flags, such as being in a sub for meeting women (usually intended to be more than one) while also being overly judgmental for How do you press her to find out about the red flags? Some people hide some things like body count especially if they think its something that matters to you
/r/seduction26/01/24 03:48 PM

This is very wise. I got decent at meeting women when I was younger, but even then, I was a complete spaz about not letting go when I found someone I liked who didn't live up to my standards. I basically lucked my way into marrying someone who my best friend described as "not just nice compared to your normal girlfriends, but nice compared to regular people"

The biggest problem here is the line about every ex being awful. It seems almost impossible to not accidentally find a good guy in 100 tries. What that tells me is no matter happens, no matter how you treat her, you're either going to be asshole #101 or the chump that doesn't even hit it
/r/seduction11/09/22 02:49 AM

But that part's the actual problem here. You're setting standards you don't meet. Work on yourself (assuming you aren't up for lowering your standards) until you start getting attraction from the hotties.

Suffering from oneitis over a girl you met once on a dating app is no bueno. Simplest suggestion is to match with other girls so you don't have to stress over this one so much. To answer your question, yes, absolutely stop pushing. Nothing is coming of this situation. However, whatever you do, don't send any kind of cringy goodbye message. The two choices are: slowly distance yourself, don't hang out as much, and move on with your life, OR, accept that she can actually be a real friend on the ba…

You don't talk about her as anyone you give any kind of shit about, just someone you want to fuck, so frankly you've done her a big favor here. Sure, you messed up something good you had going on for yourself, but you can find someone else, right? Frankly based on her talking about how she wants to steal a married man from his wife, you've done yourself a favor, too.

I actually think you are a lot better off starting with the friend for multiple reasons. You're not even sure she's a friend, right? So if the other girl ignores the two of you chatting, you know you don't need to waste time with the person in the middle next time. If she is a friend, though, and you are chatting up the POI and not paying attention to the friend, there's a very good chance she'll say something like "Hey, we gotta get to class / lunch / whatever" and you've lost right away. I thought the same when I first saw the title, but if he's literally being pushed against the wall and harassed by someone he has no interest in, it's not horribly out of place. In general he's using lingo from the Oughties but I think pretty much any attempt at picking up or even just meeting new people could be written this way, if you didn't mind using outdated terminology.

That sounds a lot less judgmental than the person I originally replied to. Not to get into a long debate, but the benefit of multiple relationships is that you don't get stuck in a bad relationship because you have no idea what makes a good relationship. You also have a better chance of making the good relationship work because you already know what does and doesn't work in a relationship.

Did you even read the post? It's literally saying that if she's not into you, move on. The person you replied to was saying that it's fine to sometimes text her about something fun going on. It's sad if all you took from that was an attempt to manipulate people. It's also obvious that you completely misunderstand the purpose of this subreddit. I feel like every point you make is correct, and it all comes down to two things: be willing to try and be willing to fail / get hurt sometimes. For years I got "meeting women" wrong, and then (partly with help of this sub) I got past that and progressed to "successful relationship" wrong, and now I'm married to a woman I met at the grocery store. I think I'm mostly just doing this for my personal health and well being. That seems like a great attitude and I'd urge you to keep working towards those goals. However, don't give up on the dating scene yet either. 26 is not at all old and men can date younger much easier than women can. I was most successful in my late 20s and early 30s, eventually meeting my (future) wife when I was 33.

It only takes a year or two to become competent at ballroom dancing, so it's not too late. In terms of attractiveness for guys there's obviously people with amazing faces to go with good bodies like Deadpool or Starlord, but then most guys are just sort of average and developing the good body is all it really takes to reach a decent level of attractiveness. I really think that if you keep up the gym, dress nicely, and get a decent haircut you won't be that bad off

You refer to your friends as AFCs, and you reference your previous field report, in which you successfully pick up a girl at a party (nice job, btw). What is the end result of this new field report? You met a girl who already has a boyfriend. …

Then /r/seduction blew up in popularity and a bunch of white knights joined. There might be a lot of white knights in this post, but what I find even sadder are all the people who congratulate this guy for what a great job he did when he didn't get laid and he sounds incredibly creepy in the process. Is that what we accept as success these days?

Look for girls with boyfriends. Mention your girlfriend a nauseating number of times. Hang out with girls when your girlfriend is there.

I don't get kids these days. Is it necessary to text constantly in order to land young girls? Seems like a waste of time. Grumpy old man advice here (33m): ask for a date rather than getting a phone number. Arrange as many details in person as possible, such as day, time, location. The more you get nailed down in person, the less likely she is to flake. If there's anything you don't have set by the time you're done talking, that's what you call or text them for.

And no gay man would dignify that sort of beta action - I'm tired of the betas projecting this type of behavior on the gays. Lots of people were throwing around "gay". I don't think he was the first to make that projection. aside from the bad spelling, he unbelievably has to pull out** Lizz's father dying** to justify his actions. What a great friend? Talk about airing the dirty laundry. You are absolutely right about this. Whatever class act points he got for the initial flowers, he lost quite …

You certainly do have the right to think publicly trashing someone is a positive outcome for him. It just makes the people participating in this thread look classless. Let's stop celebrating making fun of the poor guy for no reason.

I don't have any intuition for that particular subreddit, but I do know that only a hopeless idealist would tell someone to stick with a relationship with no sex where she's not attracted to him after only three months.
/r/seduction24/05/11 09:17 PM

Not really. They'd tell this guy the same thing in /relationships or /relationship_advice. He's hanging on to nothing in a dead "relationship", so who would advise him to work it out?

I know I know, I wasn't into her to begin with, but it annoys me that she is no longer into me. It's like, what the fuck could have gone wrong? If you don't care then don't care. Do you want to know when you'll start having success? When you stop caring about rejection, when you stop caring about consequences (be responsible still!), when you stop caring about an individual date with a girl you've already decided you don't like anyway. Also, you've mistaken "funny" for "being an asshole".

This is not about getting one particular girl. Call her and invite her to something fun to do, don't expect a yes, and go ask ten other women for their numbers in the meantime.

White guys dating Asians catch quite a lot of second-hand racism in some parts of the country. White guys in different social situations other than mainstream white guy America have plenty of opportunities for first hand racism. Don't be so quick to assume what we can and can't understand.

Of course, it's only a problem if you tell yourself that you're brilliant because you're cluttered. If you tell people that you're cluttered because you're brilliant, and use that as an excuse to get out of cleaning up more, then that actually is brilliant.
/r/seduction06/01/11 11:41 PM

Just because clutteredness is a sign of brilliance, that doesn't mean that intentionally being cluttered will make you brilliant. In fact, one could argue that if you think it will, that shows you aren't that brilliant after all ;)

A while back I stopped being afraid before asking a girl out or making a move on her. Last year I stopped letting it bother me if she said "no". This year I'm not going to stress about whether or not it's going anywhere after just a few dates. BTW, why would you make this post from a throwaway?

I'll be speaking Japanese at the level of a 3 year old, which isn't attractive I strongly disagree. Speaking even a little bit of the native language will go a long way, and it will open the door to meeting people who don't speak any English at all.

Congrats on the first step towards your eventual success. Do you know why this is a good thing? You'll (almost) never get the # from a girl you don't ask, but if you keep trying, you will find the right girl one day. With this particular girl: you can always try to arrange to get coffee / frozen yogurt / drinks after the gym the same day, or you can aim for some other day before the gym.

This worked for me once in a gym. I saw a cute girl doing a machine near me, didn't say anything. A short while later, same girl was at another machine near me, still didn't say anything. I then intentionally went over to where her next exercise was, found something I wanted to do, and asked "Are you following me around?" with a smile. She laughed, we went back to working out, and in between our next sets I asked a couple random questions about her exercise that led to questions about what she d…

Not true. The reason it isn't in the standard STD test is the tests are inaccurate. Edit: I did some more research on this on my own. It turns out that the newest tests have a low false negative rate and an even lower false positive rate. However, the error rates are still fairly high. These are also the expensive tests; the cheaper ones have worse error rates. One doctor I went to a while ago said that the reason he doesn't recommend herpes tests was that false positives really mess with people…

I assume that when she called five minutes later, you asked "Who is this?" because you had already deleted her number, right? What now is obvious: reply either "Never" or "Fuck you" if she ever brings this up again. I dunno, maybe intj is right. To me, she sounds crazy, and I'm sure you can get 7s or 8s elsewhere if you just keep looking and keep hitting the gym. Just avoid the crazy whenever possible.

Invite her to do something simple and fun with you after class. If her friends are there, invite all of them. Maybe you can come up with something, or you can suggest getting something to eat if class ends at 5, etc. If by some chance, one or more of her friends go along but she doesn't, then ask her directly "You and I should hang out sometime, then. Let's exchange numbers." Say something directly to her or maybe to the whole group regarding exchanging contact info if no one goes along with you…

Bowling is fun. Rock climbing is great fun but not so good after dinner. It's also not so good for transitioning to kissing, as you're both sweaty and tired, she'll probably want to take a shower, etc. On the other hand, your chances of a second date will be very high. Indoor mini-golf would be great, especially if you can find somewhere with a lot of people so you get stuck behind a large crowd and have to figure out something to do while waiting (hint: that's when you kiss her).

Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but if you think she's beautiful, then to you she's not a 3 or 4. If you think she's a 3 or 4 and want to go for her anyway, you are completely missing the point of this subreddit. I don't remember where the exact quote is from, but I believe Mystery said you don't rate anyone lower than a 6 because there's no reason to do so.

Try doing something in between, like getting them to leave wherever you are now and go elsewhere for food / drinks / coffee / whatever. Also, try kissing rather than hints or mild kino. You'll be surprised how many girls say "yes" or just stare at you when you say something like "I'm going to kiss you now" or "How about I kiss you?" (Staring without backing away or saying no is the same as saying yes.) Even if the moment doesn't feel right, you can make your own moment by saying something very d…

But even if these guys never bag the girl, they will be so confident as men that they wont need a female to define their lives and happiness. Suppose you can bag the girl, but you're not confident enough to not need a female. Where do you start fixing that? It's funny. I've had success with women, but no self-contained long term happiness for a while.

The best batters in baseball only get hits 1/3 of the time. Your problem here is that over the course of two weeks, you went on dates with just one girl and never made any kind of a move. If you went on dates with multiple girls and made moves sooner, you wouldn't care as much when you miss and you wouldn't waste so much time in a situation where you weren't going to succeed.
/r/seduction14/03/10 10:49 PM

how many times do you think that you should call a girl who still hasn't called you back? Once, a few days later? Interested girls let you know. Girls who care about you but aren't interested will still put in the effort to respond. Girls who don't care will leave you hanging.

Well, it's all with how someone says it, right? Bon Jovi is an older sex symbol, so is she focusing on the older part or the sexy part? In this case, she encouraged me to visit the store I met her at more often, which doesn't seem like something she'd say if she thinks I'm a creep.

DHV = demonstrate higher value... what does DD stand for? I was trying a bounce, not an open-ended suggestion of dinner sometime. I learned those never work years ago. The bounce is the thing that didn't work. I guess I'm out of practice and have lost some sense of timing... I like the "I really like X about you" approach. The "Then why am I talking to you" sounds good too. Thanks for the tips.

Interesting. Are you suggesting that next time, I say "I'm hungry and I'd like to get to know you better. Would you like to come with me to ***"? This is a more direct approach than I usually try, but I am always willing to experiment.
