As others have said, nothing to analyze here. I would have done one thing different though: instead of just saying it's not a big deal, I would also suggest grabbing a drink sometime to "catch up." Doesn't matter that you guys never spoke or were friends. If she has any interest, she'd probably respond to it. If not, forget about it and move on (but invite her to the next party).

I agree with your general sentiment but my reading of the article was different. I didn't get the impression that he was advocating spending ridiculous amounts of effort on placating a girl to make her happy. There is a lot of emphasis in the community on self-fulfillment and making sure that you are happy, which is great. But when you get into a serious relationship, your happiness is entwined with your partner's happiness, so it's important to be aware of what women stereotypically want. I agr…

Great article. Too bad there are people here that don't get it and think that it's about placating women. This is fundamentally about creating intense attraction for those people (and there are many here, myself included) that actually want long term relationships at some point. Sure, if you're just going to dump a girl as soon as something goes wrong, you don't need to worry about any of this stuff. But when you do meet a fantastic girl you want to be with, you want to make sure that she wants …

You need to realize that sex is really just not a big deal. And the first time is not any more or less special than any other time. What was your first time eating cake like? How about your first time riding a bike? Chances are you don't have a clear memory of either. You'll probably end up with a better memory of your first time having sex that either of those two, but it won't persist vividly, I guarantee it. Now these girls that keep propositioning you, they are not "hungry for sex," they are…

If you take "not caring" too far as a concept, you end up justifying every anti-social behaviour, which is counter-productive. The way I see it, "not caring" means being indifferent to the outcome at the moment. That means that when you're talking to a girl, say, you're not really concerned about achieving some sort of outcome, you're just being yourself and having a good time. This implicitly supposes that your self is already good with women, so obviously you should have no problem being natur…

You can minimize that severely by not using routines. But if you insist, or if she thinks it's a routine when you're just talking, agree and amplify should work.

Great job approaching so many women in one night! Here's what I'd try in your situation, after you've already started talking to her: "Hey, do you know how to do the dub step thing?" Then ask her to show it to you if she does or comically try and fail at doing it if she doesn't. Laugh about how hard/cool (or lame) it is. You should have plenty of opportunity for kino. Pull her to the dance floor. At some point, get her to come get some air with you. Outside you can have a more standard conversat…

It takes two people to have a conversation. If you can't uphold your side of it, you shouldn't expect the guy to just stick by you until... what exactly? I don't really understand where you inferred anything about social awkwardness. Every person, no matter how exciting and well-adjusted, experiences lulls in conversations. This is just a suggestion for when that happens, which happens to work for me. It won't help you if you don't know how to converse, and it's certainly not guaranteed to magic…

Don't worry about that. The whole point of an open-ended question is that you leave it up to her to decide how to respond to it. You're not actually asking for any private information so she's not obligated to step out of her comfort zone. In my experience, you'll get pretty much the same response as if you were an acquaintance. If the only response you get is some sort of awkward shock, it means you're coming off as a creep.

Great post. This sort of texting suits my personality better. But how do you respond to the claim that this is more likely to get you friendzoned?
/r/seduction17/08/11 07:28 AM

Then it sounds like a great time for you to exit the conversation. Why waste time with somebody so boring? I guess if you think she's really hot, this might be a good time to get her dancing or something else that doesn't require talking. But I would probably just end the conversation.

That's a touch mean. It could work if she is being exceptionally playful, but then again she would probably respond with something more interesting to this question in that case. I would probably just feign surprise and go, "Nothing!? Nothing at all? Come on, surely something has happened lately." Then ask her to tell me something ridiculously mundane about her life. After she tells me, I'd get excited about it like it's a big deal ("Laundry! Awesome!") and give her a high five.

Great post. Maybe I'm just at this point in my development, but this is precisely the sort of stuff I've been thinking about lately. I'll just throw in one more thing, which is at least spiritually related. In body language, the most dominant positions are those of vulnerability. Think of Come At Me Bro. They subcommunicate that you are so in charge of the situation that you can even get away with showing weakness.

Here's a cute one I just thought of: Try taking a big piece of paper and writing a short opener on it. Something really simple like, "Hi!" or "Hey, what's up?" Then walk up to a girl, hand it to her and stay there (or sit down next to her if possible). Naturally, she will open it and read it, and smile (or look confused). If she tries saying something, shush her with a smile and mime that she should write on the paper. Then just have your conversation with her on paper. To number close, ask her …

First of all, great job in the FR. It almost felt like a scene from a romantic comedy, which is pretty much what you want the girl to be feeling. As for the texting, just think about it from her point of view. She just had this unexpected positive experience where she totally hit it off with a cute boy at the mall. She needs to ruminate on it a bit and build it up in her mind. The first text is great for several reasons: It's a demonstration that you were serious about getting her number. It giv…

I'm still afraid of soloing in a bar so my advice is only second-hand. The best response I've heard is to just say you enjoy meeting new people and wanted to do so. Say it with confidence. Why should you have to lie or make up something silly?
/r/seduction15/08/11 04:30 AM

You shouldn't justify to her why you are not available on certain days. It is better to say, "I am free on Tuesday or Thursday," or whatever two days you are actually free on. It doesn't matter if you're free other days too, the point is that you are communicating that your free time is scarce without actually lying. Otherwise, I agree with your advice.

Yes, I agree. If you take the suggestions too literally, you end up having these weird contrived conversations where you don't know anything concrete about her. I don't believe that there is an interview-type question that you can't ask. The trick is to not just rattle them off in order, but make it into a real conversation. Saying the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the response is a great way to do that. It might be awful at first, but after a bit of practice, you will be rec…

I really like this article and I agree with everything except Fake It Till You Make It. The way he talks about it, it certainly sounds like a stupid thing to do, but I believe it is a good strategy for less drastic transformations. For example, suppose you're trying to become more social. First of all, there's nothing disingenuous about that, and I doubt Rob Judge would classify it as "not being yourself." Since you're not used to being very social, you'll obviously feel uncomfortable when you a…

Bitches love smiley faces. Be in your texts the way you are in person. The reason you can't imagine Don Draper using a smiley face is that he's very stoic. If you're stoic too, don't do it. But it sounds like you're a more excitable guy, so definitely go for it if it feels right.

Good article. Maybe I never bought into the whole idea though, because I feel like it's relatively congruent with the stuff I've read on seddit. At least my personal view of an alpha male has been much closer to what Chase describes, as opposed to the stereotype.

Technically he didn't open because she started talking to him, but it was still good. Personally, I am just not at that level yet where I feel comfortable trying to game a girl on a bus, which is particularly scary because you're stuck there with the shame if you mess up and embarrass yourself. Obviously this goes away as a concern once you get better. But I think this sort of thing works like any other performance. It actually sounds like you did a pretty good job. Your one misstep was not sleeping with her as soon as possible. My guess is that she really did fall for you but you didn't escalate fast enough and she started having doubts. The way you are handling it now is fine. You obviously have your life together and have things going on, so just continue projecting that (true) image. I agree with BowlOfPetunias that this isn't dead yet. I really don't like this sort of response. Maybe it works in a club setting, but elsewhere it feels very immature and rude. A much better response in my opinion is to just continue as if it's a non sequitur and you're being polite by not pointing that out. In this case, I think OP's response was good because he continued to smile. I would've probably said something like, "Alright, but we can still grab a coffee." Thanks. You pretty much nailed it here. I really prefer to have a very organic conversation, and just wing the entire thing. In the long run, I believe this is the best thing to do. I'm pretty witty and quick on my feet, but usually I need some sort of seed to roll with. The problem is that with a stranger, I don't really have much to go on. This is also why it takes me some time to get into a conversation even in a more casual setting, but once I'm in, I'm great. I'll try to learn some opinion …

If you watch more of the videos, you'll see that he explicitly shies away from any physical contact that could be construed as sexual. I'm pretty sure he does it because this way he can get away with outright telling girls he likes their boobs or asking them if they want a threesome with him or whatever. It would be counter-productive to act like him if you're trying to seduce a girl, but I think there is a lot we beginners can learn about conversation from his videos.

The benefit of writing an FR is the fact that it makes you analyze your experience. Actually posting it might be helpful if you really do need advice, but if you feel that you understand your fundamentals (and just need to practice more, say), it doesn't have as much value. I've definitely written out partial FRs before, analyzed them in the process of writing, and then decided to discard them because I saw no point in getting more feedback. In that sense, I agree that a journal is sufficient. I…

Generally speaking, getting a response on OKCupid is a good thing. I would send another message that tries to build into a conversation, as intertron1 said. If at some point during the conversation you don't get a response to a message, move on.

Yeah, I think a lot of this stuff works in a non-sexual setting. Pretty much all the early game stuff. People usually call that "charisma" without realizing it's basically just seduction.

I think it's unrealistic to expect that you will get consistently great results because you "feel good." There is a huge element of luck involved with the kind of people you end up interacting with. You just can't control the response a person will have to your genuine, nice opener. You are likely to just set yourself up for an even bigger disappointment when you discover that even feeling good doesn't always work, which will undermine your entire foundation. In my opinion, it is much more produ…

First of all, it's ok to break eye contact in normal conversations. You just want to make sure that you are maintaining it most of the time. Secondly, try not to stare into the eyes of the person you're talking to without changing up. There's this idea of triangles, where your eyes go from one eye to the other to a third point (which determines the kind of interaction you are having). Check out r/bodylanguage for more info.

I only read about half of it and skimmed the rest. Some of the stuff in there are pretty legitimate criticisms, and I believe things with which most people here already tacitly agree. For example, he mentions that "lay reports" (i.e. FRs) break up the interaction into little pieces that are supposedly enlightening, but really are just good interaction. Well, yes, that's the point. The problem for most guys that need help is that they are either not aware of what "good interaction" is supposed to…

Just do it. You can get over her no problem, it's all in your head. Keep telling yourself that you're over her and carry on with your life (i.e. date other women, as Vishiz said), and eventually it will be true.

Just tell her the truth in advance. The only way you come off as a prick is if she is going to the concert with the expectation of hanging out with you and discovers you with someone else. The easiest thing is to change her expectations.

Those are really neat explanations. Thanks. One thing that always bothers me about the idea of closed vs. open body language is the fact that some closed positions are just more comfortable to me. For example, often when sitting or standing around during a conversation, I like to cross my arms while I listen. I don't mean it as a sign of defensiveness, I just want to do something with my arms. Perhaps you can give some pointers about how to ensure that it is not misinterpreted, or what to do wit…

What would that get you? If you pick one of them, you can start telling her she needs to see a doctor, that you're seriously worried etc. In fact, you can even suggest she should go cool herself and isolate the other one. All of this is in a joking tone, of course. Or you can tell them to feel your forehead for more kino, etc.

In the Man Transformation talk that's posted here somewhere, he uses an example of a girl at a coffee shop. He really rails on these non-sequitur openings because it takes her out of her story and startles her. Instead, he suggests talking about something coffee-related, launching into a conversation about coffee shops.

This is an aside from the actual conversation but I think that "What are you thinking about?" is a somewhat offensive question. It's prying and very intimate. The one thing we really ever do get to keep to ourselves, if we choose to, are our thoughts. You're basically forcing the person to either give up something private or lie, which is a lose-lose proposition. I mean this more in the sense where you are with someone, it's quiet, and you break the silence with the question.

I definitely know what you are referring to. Generally I'm really anxious at first, but once the ball gets rolling, I don't even think about it. I understand how this would work, but I feel like this goes totally against what David Wygant says about not breaking her inner monologue. How do you reconcile these two ideas? I guess the difference is you are walking up to a group of girls, so you just need to get their attention, as opposed to just one girl where you want her to not feel threatened? Is that right?

You definitely have some serious issues with confidence and self-image that you need to address. There is lots of very useful information about "inner game" in the sidebar that you absolutely must read. Irrespective of your outcome with this girl. Anyway, in this case, just start talking to her. Be really observant. People often do all kinds of little things that they hope nobody else notices. It's fun to spot those sorts of things. Never make a big deal out of it, but you can playfully bring it up like it's no big deal and build rapport. Here's a personal example from last night. Good job, and congratulations. Some comments: Putting the hand behind her back sounds like it was a bit out of the blue, and hence obvious. Did you do any kino escalation beforehand, like tapping her shoulder etc.? Obviously you danced with her, but I think it's a bit different in a salsa club where girls will pretty much dance with anybody who doesn't come off like a huge creep, so it doesn't count for as much. Clearly she didn't seem to mind, so it's not a big deal in this case. I cringed that…

This is just part of being alpha. You went for the kiss and she rejected you. Oh well, already over it. Next time you see her, just act like nothing is happened. By the way, this sort of attitude works well in most situations, not just in seduction. The simplest way to avoid awkwardness is to just act like it isn't there. And if it really bothers the other person, they'll bring it up and you can talk about it. But always with the attitude of "it's not a big deal for me."
