Same situation for me, but has to return the kids to mom last night. Almost exact timing too. Separated end of October. I’ve been invited to a few different things today, but I am opting to spend it alone as I do not want to drag anybody down with my emotions today especially. I’m allowing myself today only to be alone and may even have a drink or 6.

When I offered this resolution, her attorney immediately texted me telling me do not enter her home.

I wanted to follow up to this. Had a status conference update today. Her attorney made sure to invalidate the signed interim agreement (not filed with court) we had on child contact and some other things. I was only having the kids 30% of the time roughly. Now without an agreement, guess it’s time to take my 50% rights back. I have tried to play this as cordial and nice as possible. It kills me to have to use my wife’s weaknesses against her. Never intended to, but I have to stand up and make su…

Get an attorney. I’m going through this now. I don’t care your situation, get an attorney. Do whatever you gotta do to get one. Mediation was a joke for me. Went nowhere. She retained an attorney which surprised me seeing how she doesn’t she any money but yet found 10k to retain an attorney. There’s no playing fair with custody and/or divorce. Focus on you and your kids, and get an attorney.

Appreciate this. Just left status conference where her attorney dissolved out interim agreement. Now there’s no temporary agreement regarding our children. I assume she will withhold them until the interim hearing. Guess I’ll just have to move back into the marital home until the hearing in order to see my kids.

Co parenting for 2 months now while separated. Do not think she’s seeing anybody. I haven’t even thought about talking to anybody. Co parenting sucks right now. She chooses when I’m allowed to see my kids because she knows I won’t go get them and cause issues. I’m too passive. Still early on in divorce process. If I found out she was seeing somebody else, I would most likely have a different mind set. Right now I just want to please her still and make things right. Praying that with time, we are…

Good point, my income is 90k+/- and here is 60k+/- should have thrown that in there as I know that plays an effect. I have no problem paying whatever the court decides for child support. Just want my kids 50/50

Dropped my kids off this morning.. couldn’t even get through work before I decided to take the rest of the day off. All I focus on is what I’m missing out on. At this moment I don’t want to move on, I don’t want to be without my wife and kids. 2 months of separation. I got to a point where “it was war” but I’m back to caring about her feelings knowing damn well it’s over. If I could rewind 5 years and start over and resolve everything from the start, I would give up anything to do so.

Amen.. I mean I am in the process of divorce. I’ll admit, I am the cause of it. Never cheated, loyal to the end, did everything I could to put her first. Never once stood my ground. Never once said no. If there was a way to satisfy a want/need, I made it happen. I was providing a life for her I could not financially afford. It led to a ton of financial issues, as I tried to be the man and make it happen no matter the cost. She will never accept her role in the financial downfall that is now lead…

I believe you can get a contract/agreement made up to split the debt. If it’s joint debt, call the IRS and see if they are willing to settle entirely for your half. They may very well just take your amount and call it good. Then collect from the ex her half in installments!

Status conference hearing tomorrow: have a court date tomorrow. Not really sure what to expect. This is the second status conference hearing. Since the first one, ex has held kids from me. We have a written/signed interim agreement. Judge told us to follow it. She broke that many times since last meeting. With the holidays next week, I want to know exactly when I’ll see my kids. I’ve had my kids 3 nights in the last two months. It’s killing me. I am supposed to have them every Monday Wednesday a…

Thank you for this. I am having a hard time separating my feelings for her vs what’s best for both of our futures raising our kids in separate households. Of course selling the home, and us both starting fresh in new homes regardless of what they are is better for the kids. Both parents would be able to provide quite a bit better in this scenario. I am meeting with my lawyer Thursday. He has been absent to this point.. initial conference hearing, mediation, and tomorrow we have a status update h…

I have a meeting with a lawyer this week. Only time he could get me in. Unfortunately it’s already after mediation. Where nothing happened. And after status conference update.
