Stephen Tobolowsky (who played Ned Ryerson) said on his podcast that in the original script Phil would go to the big library in town and read one page per day to keep tabs on how long he had been living in Groundhog Day. Apparently by the end he had read everything on every shelf.

So mr Alpha , your saying that to get the family back we have to do the same shit that the guys in the middle east do? Sounds an awful lot like bullying to me. Fuck that noise.

What is happening to this place? 6 months ago a post about being 'friends' with a woman would have been quite rightly laughed off. This post , along with all of the other shitty content we've been getting recently makes me think that in 6 months there will somehow be a revelation in TRP theory that chivalry is the most effective way of becoming a man. The massive influx of new members from other places in Reddit worries me. Things are gonna get blue around here. I can feel it.

Her: buy me a drink? Me: Why , is it your birthday? H: yeah its my birthday! in which case i guess their age - but make it a few years older than she looks. Any time that she admits it's not her birthday, it goes one of two ways, depending on her response and how much her frame has shaken. Either she is still full of confidence and bravado , so gets teased for being a gold digger and she huffs off/i just go back to what i was doing, or she is taken aback slightly and I escalate the conversation …

10s wont ever take the jump to seek you out whilst you are brooding in the corner. They don't know how, as they've never had to. The most attractive woman in the group is high enough in social status where the only way to "win" her is by being better than she is. So , I'm disagreeing with you- a toned down alpha exudes power because of how others perceive him, and you cant do that on your own in the mysterious zone. When I said i have to be the mayor of the conversation - that doesn't mean i jus…

Was that whilst you were the "lone wolf", the "chameleon" or when you were "watching in silence"? Cause we all know HB10 bitches looooooove that shit. That's why the archetypal alpha male goes by unnoticed right?

Yeah I read that book too. seems like you take it real seriously.Do you carry notes in your pocket? That's OK man. You keep reading. You can follow those things to a T if you wish, but I personally think you are a) taking them too literally- by that i mean thinking that you think you have to encompass a whole bunch at a time in every.single. thing. you. do. and by doing so, you dont really get to enjoy the situations you are in do you? and b) misinterpreting them. I don't think trying to be all …

I don't want to argue over something as trivial as a movie quote, just that 'user_none' was right in what he said.He was echoing something he saw in Fight Club and recognized the same principle in OP's post. That's maybe where he first heard of the concept, and if he applies it correctly, what harm has been done if his source isn't the originator of the concept? The Red Pill basically hammers home the same principles over and over. Lots of repetition and variations on great things great men have…

"The things you own, end up owning you". That is exactly what Pitt says in the film. Its the same conversation as the 'comforter' - "in the hunter-gatherer sense of the word, why do i need one? So what are we? -consumers."

So how is it best to TAKE compliments ? It would be easy to suggest that when another man gives you a compliment in a group setting , it could be construed as his attempts to elevate himself.

I dont think RP stuff should ever be discussed outside of here. My worry is that by doing so, we encourage the participation of men who arent ready/not able to accept and live by its principles; to apply it to the world they live in. I dont want this place swamped and changed because of its popularity. Quite simply, its a philosophy men need to find on their own, otherwise it wont work .

Same boat. I'd love a trade type job, but if you are over 30 and live in the UK? No chance. Its easier to join the fucking masons !

There's a difference in having an LTR that is beneficial, and just having someone made unhappy. Its supposed to be what I want, and I wouldn't want someone who is perpetually unhappy, but stays because she has no choice. Not BP - just not a sociopath. Anyway who wants to spend years with someone with no life experience of their own? NO tattoos? I like tattoos. I have a lot of them. NO accessories over 100 bucks? Shit - my watch cost me 2 grand. She cant approach me? Or have travelled solo? -Nah …

Of course - but high standards are individual. Get someone who fits your own criteria. A woman who fits the above would be fucking boring.

If you find them disgusting then why do you care what they do? Bodybuilders (and by that I mean those with head turning muscularity) are on the extremes of physicality. I doubt they do it for the opposite sex. That being said, there is a group of people madly attracted to, and seek out those with that look, and those who enjoy that muscularity are aware of it. Its just a different circle than you're used to I guess.. Horses for courses.

I'm pretty sure in the movie its 'unlock' , but I figured it wasn't too much of a stretch to say open/unlock! Agree it would be a little weird, but a little weird because she is polite aint the same as a little weird cause she is rude.

She cant lean across and open the door for you with keyless entry?

its from that De Niro movie "a Bronx Tale" . The protagonist is told that you can always tell a good woman by one test : Open the car door for her. As you go round to the other side to get in the drivers seat (or other passenger side in OP's case), if she leans across to open /unlock your door then she passes the test. If she doesn't, then she is selfish etc.
