This was not even an essay sis, this was a temper tantrum diatribe.

Only 5% of unmarried men over 40 will ever get married.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/03/21 09:39 PM

I’m not surprised. This is the tune they always sing after being with over a hundred partners. It’s always regret and realizing they were trying to fill a void in their lives they could never fill.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/02/21 03:05 AM
10

Tbh I would not like finding out my partner did that in the past either.

The term lovemaking is made fun of. “Why are you attaching meaning to sex? It’s just fucking”.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/01/21 08:21 PM

Mine said he would never be able to look at me again because he’s soooo ashamed of himself. Almost right after though, he said it was all an act and he is not even sorry, he’s entitled to get attention from other women if I don’t give him any, and I should be able to forgive and forget magically over a few days. The mindfuckery of the whole relationship was unprecedented, he would make up lies every day as he betrayed me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/01/21 09:05 PM

This. Where are the men who get all dressed up, shake their asses and compete for female attention? This trend is not empowering.

LVM use social media platforms as dating apps and there is no coincidence with anyone they follow. Potential love interests. Then they cry “you’re being controlling” if you ask them about all the random half naked women he follows, or says “I do what I want”.

I actually flip this on them and don’t allow myself to be an option anymore in their heads. I would respond with “I am not looking for this kind of relationship. Don’t contact me again, thanks.” and then I block. They pull these bizarre power moves to try to have a bunch of women they can text when they’re bored and I make it clear they’re not welcome to try with me ever again, no matter how busy they are. This text is rude.

I’ve seen Greta Thunberg fans, but I believe it’s only because they identified with having Asperger’s, so it doesn’t count.

On OLD, a huge chunk of the men who write 30-38 and 40-45 are in their 40s and 50s. They shave off 5-10 years minimum.

I don’t get the comments that say living with a man is an important step to marriage either. That is a roommate situation.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/01/21 12:01 AM

Women’s intentions are usually genuine and love. For men, it’s often sex, sometimes romance or love. The two intersect in a relationship, with the woman in it for love, and the man in it for...he knows what he’s in it for, but either way he’s going to say love and definitely not “you’re a forever gf”. With intentions obscured on his side, women are not the ones who “just know” right away, but vet. Men know if they at least are considering a relationship from day 1. There is a huge difference bet…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/01/21 06:38 AM

I never heard of that before until the LVM was vocal about it. It never would have occurred to me he was looking for a masturbation prop! He even said his other male friends do it too.

They are not confident enough to admit the relationship is over and end it with class. They go the cowardly route and pretend you misinterpreted everything.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/01/21 02:42 AM

I don’t know how someone could go through life lying like that. He could’ve said that it won’t work out anymore and left it at that when we broke up, but he acted like he never said or meant any of those things just to knock me down a few pegs.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/01/21 02:24 AM

The lie that confuses me is when marriage is brought up. There’s no way I could misinterpret what they mean by marriage, but they just lie so easily.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/01/21 02:20 AM

Lol what? His friend is trying to ruin your new relationship by saying your ex got you a nicer ring?

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/01/21 06:40 PM

Sis, I want to be mad at myself for falling for LVM, but I can’t because of things like this! I say these things straight to their faces, and they still deny and lie. I’m not one to read into things like “omg he called me pretty”, but if you tell me you want to get married and we go ring shopping, idk what else to think. Who would lie like that?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/01/21 06:30 PM
25

Exactly!! I feel disgusted I ever put up with it, but I said this to his face (it doesn’t feel like I’m unique to you) and he denied it. I’m sorry, I’m not used to bold-faced liars?? This has me so discouraged like what kind of human lies to another like that?

I’ve gotten the perfume thing too, and it’s a fetish-he later said he loves to just keep a bottle of perfume around even when single, and spray it all over his bed to pretend women were there. Then he fantasizes. It’s not about us or our perfume, it’s a fetish where he pretends he gets laid. This is the type of man who buys used women’s clothing. A normal man would ask you what perfume you wear so he could get you some.

Where do I start? “I can’t wait to marry you” “You’re my soulmate” “I love you forever” “No one could ever care about you more than I do” “You’re everything to me” “Mrs. (Last name)” “You are the perfect woman” “You are everything I could ever want in a woman” “I can’t wait to make you my wife” “I’m going to propose to you soon” Talking about where our honeymoon would be Ring shopping “My mom wants to go dress shopping with you” All lies 🤡 You took this too seriously! After I stopped taking the birth control pill, I was absolutely baffled by the dating choices I made while on it. It really messed with my natural intuition and partner choice. It also can give someone a false sense of security to be more relaxed and have lower standards if you know you won’t get pregnant.

I am going to be single my entire life if it means never having mediocre sex again. It’s not worth it.

The last text my ex sent me was offensive, he acted like he was the one who dumped me for something I did instead of the other way around. I was so tempted to respond to it with a long paragraph, but instead responded essentially with “OK bye”. I know he is probably still seething about it. OP made the best move.

He sounds like an idiot. You know the truth and so would anyone who knows what happened during your relationship, it doesn’t matter if he wants to pretend it was nothing now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/12/20 04:09 PM

I dated a guy before who told me it was refreshing to meet someone smart and idealized me. By the end of the relationship, he devalued me and blurted out he thinks I’m not intellectually on his level, which was insane because the opposite is true. He literally would redirect every convo to sex like an idiot, so how would he even know what I think about anything?

I’ve had this talk with a LVM before and he said it’s too late to change or be diagnosed with anything at his age, callousness is just a personality trait of his he knows about.

That’s not the visual they mean, it’s a euphemism for sexual attraction. They view women as sex objects and not complete human beings.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/12/20 09:13 AM
11

It’s because that’s their view of the world OP. They objectify, dehumanize, and reduce everything to whether they’re turned on or not. It’s true, women don’t care about looks like that. We don’t view men as objects.

What’s your take on 38+ men who never married at all? They are out here wasting everyone’s time pretending to want commitment but being too self-absorbed to change their lives.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/12/20 08:32 PM
17

If he is over forty and has no kids but wants them, you should run because he is delusional and selfish. These kinds of men have the idea that money is enough to be a father. They think their savings and the inheritance their kids will get is going to mean more than being an active father who doesn’t lose his breath going up a flight of stairs when he’s 50. They expect their younger wife to do all of the housework while they “provide” and they never really love her. It’s another box to check off…

The catch is that no guy gets to old age single if he really doesn’t play games and treat women like disposable options. If he has not committed or settled down by mid to late 30s it means that he precisely is the final boss of all fuckboys. He is more trained in the fuckboy ways than men in their 20s.

He was trying to assert dominance like a clown and make it known his plans are more important than yours. I had an ex do the same, but he paid for the train to get there so slightly less of a clown. He pretended to have work to do right as I was about to leave too. That’s no way to treat someone who made an effort to be there, and it speaks volumes about their character. Don’t accept invites to his place, don’t go in his car, don’t be alone with him in a secluded place ever. Always meet in public places and end the dates when you want to, and get home safely. Keep all your dates in public and don’t feel pressured to stay. Make it known you live with family or roommates. If he is sexualizing the conversation, act confused and ask him what he thought this was or what he is looking for. If he says a fwb or “see where things go” he is a NVM and you should cut him of…

Is anyone else turned off by the lack of masculinity today? LVM don’t seem ashamed for not accomplishing things, and they enjoy being irresponsible and selfish. It’s the biggest turn off. I feel like I have more masculine traits than a lot of weak LVM these days just by keeping my word, being confident, and working hard. It’s beginning to make me feel unfeminine because every LVM I meet is lazier than I am and expects to be waited on.

Just came across an ex on OLD. He is now looking for a “drama-free” woman who won’t take up too much of his time because he is just so important and busy and he is already in a dead bedroom relationship. He needs someone who understands that. I guess this is what happens when you call someone out for never being available during a committed relationship due to all of his cheating, and you advise him to just be honest with women in the future (what a drama queen I am). The heels obsession is ridiculous. It is not practical for women to wear heels everywhere they go.

It's absolutely disgusting. Are there any good guys in the city at all? Why do they aspire to be such fuckboy douchebags?

Being rich does not mean he is a HVM. Read about my experience with a white collar rich POS: https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/ibdr79/has_anyone_else_encountered_the_white_collar_city/

His haircut is a fuckboy haircut, and they could just see the arrogance on his face I guess. He wears jewelry too.

My ex is using not just using the same pics, but using the selfies he sent me during our relationship and told me he took for me. They were for his dating profiles. Soooooo classy.

Your ex sounds horrible af. Always lying and passing the buck to avoid taking responsibility. You've inspired me to vent too if you don't mind. Sis, during quarantine, I have seen almost every one of my exes on dating apps, and they all lie about themselves. During our relationships, they prided themselves on honesty LMFAO. It's crazy. Let me tell you- My most recent ex, ex-fiance who pretended to be faithful, then I found him on dating apps, didn't waste any time. He remained on them and create…

Now that I moved out of the city and back with my parents but still work remotely in this job, I realize how meaningless this work is and how ridiculous that lifestyle was lol. Just absolutely nuts. It sounds like you've had a spiritual awakening! How did you realize that all the city slickers are wasting their years trying to show off?

If I didn't know any better I'd say we had the same ex. It drove me crazy and finally clicked when I realized all the performative things he did for other people. He would be extra polite to employees so that they think he is a saint. I witnessed him calling back a receptionist once to apologize for his tone. When he speaks out of line, have I ever received an apology for his tone? lmao, no. He apparently donated to food to the homeless yet made a big commotion about getting his younger and less…

I should have known my ex was like this given his 'status' and the way he looks, but get this-he presented himself to me as a sensitive, loyal, introverted bookworm who couldn't hurt a fly. His alter ego from Bateman was being a tOrTuReD aRtIsTe. No lie. All I can do is cringe looking back, who was I even dating? So many fake personalities he has to keep up. Anyone who vaguely reminds me of him is a red flag. Their type is obvious!!! These guys usually dislike me because I won't have vapid conve…

This is so true. They're all like clones of each other, talking about their travels, buying the same clothes. They really are motivated to be vindictive in the sneakiest of ways. My ex did tell me he thought pursuing me was a game he wanted to win, and it did not seem to register when I told him I am a human with my own feelings and not something to be won. They are not alphas, like I wrote in the post, their behavior is essentially toxic-feminine in that they like to gossip all the time, take t…

Do you have any details to add that I missed? They are so trashy, I don't care how well they dress, their personalities are such shit. I used to have a crush on a guy I knew, I barely knew him, but he seemed like a HVM in my memory, he had lots of cool hobbies like playing guitar, writing, skiing. Looked him up and saw he's now an investment banker douchebag who reposts their douchey inside jokes. What a shame. They are all so desperate to conform. Seems like therapy is in order.

For women with access to these types, we have to remember that it’s entirely possible for a man to present perfectly and be the devil. Totally agree. On paper, the ex seems like the perfect man. Until you realize he is a shell of a person without a soul or empathy. These types are vindictive and will keep track of your moods so they can start telling people you're crazy. Or if you drink a glass of wine they will start whispering about an alcohol problem. They hide their assets before marriage an…

They definitely do that, but I counted that as manipulation already in my head lmao. If it's fake, the volunteering doesn't count and doesn't deserve a mention.

Don’t mistake financial and social status for qualities that make someone an empathetic human, like I did in the past for so long. This is so important.

Have you considered that feeling emotionally distant and disconnected, i.e. not feeling or generating chemistry could be a sign of something deeper? Such as Asperger's Syndrome, or schizoid disorder? Mr. Rogers, consistently robotically "nice" is a sign of that. Why not read up on Asperger's in relationships and see if that pertains to you? https://www.thehartcentre.com.au/could-aspergers-explain-your-relationship-difficulties/

Big romantic stuff that seems like he's done it before. I briefly dated one guy who was too much too soon and he also did romantic shit that I'm positive he'd done with other women. Like he bought me a dress and shoes for a surprise dinner and they were my size but absolutely not my style. Another guy I dated used to have his assistant send me stuff, like I couldn't tell, sometimes I'd mention something about the gift that wasn't true and he had no idea because he hadn't even chosen the gift. Th…

Talk to him about the relationship and why he’s like this. Tell him you’re unhappy and unimpressed. And you have other men that are interested in you that you’re going to go on dates with. This will either get his ass up to do more for you, make him angry, or he’ll agree and probably also date other people as well. He got angry, flipped it on me, and said that my high expectations and being high maintenance is ridiculous and how dare I have the audacity to ask for more affection from him. The co…

Don’t even waste your time trying to work things out with this guy. He doesn’t treat you like a real partner, just someone to sooth his ego and make him feel less lonely without making any actual investment in your relationship. Just stop answering his calls. I answered last night and instead of being lovey-dovey he went off on me for not being more available for him. Lol. How right you are. :(

I didn't even get a chance to confront him or ask him about his lack of effort. When we had our nightly call last night he just went off on me for not answering the phone earlier because I was busy. It's heartbreaking how right you all are.

I know, I feel so stupid typing all this out. I know I look dumb right now. Has he actually made the plans? Picked the dates? Bought the tickets? If the answer to any of those is “no”, then he is not your boyfriend. Yes, he is currently pushing to make these plans, but I am hesitant now that I am rethinking the whole relationship. Should I go and give him one last shot?

We are bf/gf! It's too late to do the single to engaged method, unfortunately. Is there a way to open the relationship back up and be like, until I have a ring I am just going to keep my options open?

I don't even do that myself, and I'm the younger one. My parents don't know shit except we're very happy lol. I think that's the mature way to go.
