I was in a long distance relationship with a guy for months. He was a classic hot and cold LVM who put on a HVM act in the beginning to hook me.

When I broke up with him, he made a statement that puzzled me. He said he thought we were perfect for each other in every way, but he was not confident he could satisfy me sexually (we never had sex). He said he was only insecure about the sex aspect had we stayed together. I have no idea how he'd figure that if we were never intimate. What is he hiding?

Was he admitting pornsickness/ED? He claimed he doesn't watch porn except for when people dump him and he goes into a self-loathing spiral. His comment really confused me because it came out of left field, it never occurred to me that he could have performance issues. He's in good shape. He's not a virgin either, he's way more experienced than I am based on what I know about his past. Could it be because he asked about ideal sex frequency and my response (several times a week) scared him?

Other relevant info:

  • standoffish in person, against PDA. No PDA at all.
  • extremely forward and passionate over text, it later tapered off to zero
  • tries to put on a dominant persona, but he is weak and non-dominant in other areas of life, so it's not a convincing act
  • doesn't smile, ever
  • can't maintain eye contact
  • preoccupied by his own appearance, may have body dysmorphia
  • extremely arrogant
  • doesn't do romantic gestures
  • thinks his dick is large when it's average

He seemed legitimately concerned I would have been disappointed by his sex game. I need FDS to translate this manspeak. ED admission or what?

Edit: To be clear, I do not care about him at all. I want to know for future reference if this is another way of saying erectile dysfunction.
