That’s how I feel about my house too!!!! My house is going to at least be my vacation house.

So glad he is an ex! Hopefully you are on your way to living your best life!

And it put a smile on his face! His face says everything! He doesn’t mind doing it and the simple gesture of candy put him on the moon. I also love the fact that he is pushing the cart.

I just bought a new (and expensive) toy for mine! Spoil yourself liberally and often!!

To throw an spin on things... I’d like to ask what you want to do with him? Are you purposefully dating or wasting your time with him? I think it is the latter. Toxic and/or unwanted relationships should be avoided at all times. We all know what men want to do with us but what do you want to do with him? Is he wanted or unwanted? No need to lead him on if he is unwanted.

I strictly date people that do not have any therapy issues or mental health issues. I had to raise the bar after trauma. I’m not here to save the world.

People have left relationships for less. You are doing great. Keep up the good work. You will have many loves in your life. Make sure your heart heals in between.

I’ve done the labs for vsphere, halfway studied for the 900 series A+ exam before it expired, and have programmed things back in my teen years. How is software? I’d like to go back to college for civil engineering or IT but I’m also comfortable being a teacher. There are so many options!

I wait 15 minutes and then I order an expensive drink and an appetizer. Their audacity brings out my audacity. I don’t mind dating myself liberally and often either. That is also the last date/communication effort. I’m not looking for perfection. I’m looking for communication and someone to give a shit about my happiness.

I once met a man who didn’t know what an orgasm was and didn’t know that his dick could spurt out white goo. He was 25 and probably super sheltered. He was really focused on his career and had extensive hobbies but no luck with the ladies. Each person is different. I did not take his virginity. I don’t feel any animosity towards virgins. They are living the best way that they know how.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/09/20 09:42 PM

Ten years of abuse. The last one was different and very scary. He had a knife waiting for me when I got back. Luckily, I came back with the cops. It’s the only time that I called the cops on him.

I did 8 years dating, 3 month engagement, and then married for 2 years and then, boom, divorced. I’m probably never getting married again. Been there done that. I don’t need to do it again.

Im in the US and sex education is non existent. Just basic biology and abstinence.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/09/20 03:23 PM

Do not kick yourself for it either. You’ve grown. I consider a lot of my mistakes the result of hormones. Can’t fight biology when they twist our brains and make our hearts filled with their attention. I have kids and I’m terrified but I focus on raising decent human beings every day. Hopefully my hard work will pay off.

I meet one a year. I still break up with them because of compatibility, an issue arises, or I’ll just raise my standards. Men typically won’t break up with women.

Thank you. I pray that my daughters do not have his mental genetics but only time will tell. I’m glad you found peace too. I came up with a saying, “the rollercoaster stops when I get off of it”. It’s true too.

I’ve never had a guy break up with me. I must always initiate that horrible conversation. I believe there are statistics about women initiating a certain percentage of divorces.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/09/20 01:24 PM
6

If I cry over a guy, I break up. If I’m mentally unwell because of their behaviors, I break up. If I stay up at night thinking and contemplating the relationship , I break up. I’d rather break my own heart, by giving up the future I dreamed up, than stay and fight for a person who can’t love me the way I need to be loved. Then I take 7-9 months off of dating. Re-center myself. Get back to me. Turn on an app and boom... someone better every fucking time and it doesn’t take long. My standards get …

My abusive ex husband was very schizophrenic (hearing the voices as if I said something in real life). Life is peaceful and it’s been 4 years of being single for me. I consider these peaceful years the best years of my life. I don’t date mentally unhealthy people. That’s a standard. I am scared of repeating the ten years I was with my ex. I am not putting myself second to a man anymore. I seek peace and clarity.

I had a man try to split the first dinner we had together. I had to tell the waiter that it’s meant to be two orders of the same meal. I’m not sharing a plate with a stranger and I don’t care about my audacity on this particular date. Cheap ass men are everywhere.

Say it louder for the people in the back! The men see it too and will act accordingly. Never be in their pocket.

Vet him long term to see what his job qualities actually are. He will not match you in being as career driven or financially, ever. If you marry him you will need a prenup. He hit the jackpot with you. I do not think he is of high value. Maybe just no value which is better than negative value (questionable since you deplete your points for his happiness). If it still bugs you that he doesn’t have a job, drop him. No man is worth your sanity. Your list of standards is your standards. Only you kno…

I get about one decent human-being a year. You are not attracting LVM. They are fucking everywhere. Keep on vetting and take breaks in between. Never lose yourself.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/08/20 01:14 PM

No reaching. If he sparks the 50/50 convo then just never date him again and walk away. He won’t make a scene if you abruptly leave either. Be inconvenient.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/08/20 12:42 PM

If you find yourself mentally drained, just dump him. Your sanity comes before any man and his bullshit.

They could send pictures of them working in the office, volunteering, doing yard work, doing hobbies like wood crafting, and just doing shit in general. But instead we get spammed with something they want validation on. I also want to say that the fishing pics on profiles makes men look dehydrated, sunburnt, and drunk. They aren’t oblivious, they just don’t care.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/08/20 12:35 PM

They cannot have an alcohol problem and I prefer them to not drink casually and/or not weekly. I’m not a fan of the “beer after work” either.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/08/20 11:52 AM

That sounds like a fun idea but I would be weary if it hogged a lot of time or if you are always initiating.

God luck and stay safe. My flight response is so high that I would quit the group and just stay connected with the few people that I’ve exchanged numbers with.

Happy birthday!!!! A man will never satisfy us like a good “girls night”! See if your friends want to go kayaking. Treat yourself with a shopping spree. Enjoy life in a hotel room on the beach.

My guess is he is anxious, virgin, uncomfortable with girls and/or himself, and probably a varying degree of all of that combined. Long distance relationships are hard to navigate and can be tough. Hope this helped and good luck with all of your future!!

Do not date with your heart on your sleeve. Men are eagerly waiting to give you the world. If the man of the day is being a douche... move on to the next. I repeat, do not date with your heart on your sleeve. Also, give your heart a break and take time to heal. Each heartbreak hurts... every single time. Some more than others. I’ve never met a woman who didn’t know how to love. We take a man’s low effort and turn it into a full blown marriage. Men do not do more when they feel appreciated. They do more when they care about your happiness.

Your username is the best motto I’ve seen yet! Sometimes we got to pretend that the past didn’t happen so that we can move forward like a boss in heels. He has toxic behaviors and I’m so glad that he isn’t in your future anymore.

Maybe he doesn’t hate the whole gender but he is lacking on maturity and empathy. Some men think women owe them something. That’s the impression I get.

I got divorced almost 4 years ago. I’m a single mom of multiple kids. These have been the best 3+ years of my life! I say that with all the honesty and sincerity that I have. Dating is not nonexistent. I’ve fallen in love twice and still broke up with them because I have higher standards than they could reach. Take no shit from men! My life is peaceful, bountiful, and beautiful.

Take no shit from men! I’m a survivor of physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. Do not stay. Mental issues come from abuse. You may already need therapy for this.

I did it for ten years with the father of my children. Life is a thousand times better now and the men out there are fresh and new. Some are ready and willing to sweep a girl off her feet and move mountains for a girl like you. Have you tasted what real romance is? What being spoiled is like? Do not go back to abuse! Take no shit from men! Honestly, just take your time getting some things in your life straightened out. Love yourself. The future has all the possibilities. Get mentally healthy and…

I broke up with someone because he was traveling the world so much (2 weeks a month plus weekends to various places). He “didn’t know what his future held” and a couple other things told me that we are dating for different reasons. Relationships take their course and sometimes relationships are brief and beautiful. Short, sweet, and to the point.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/08/20 04:40 AM

Kissing should probably be a couple dates/weeks into it. Congrats on surviving covid. I’ve been on a couple of dates so far and we just eat at places who have outside seating and then head to a beach.

It depends how long I want to wait. The reason why I ended a 9 month relationship over text was because I wasn’t going to see him for a weekend and the unfortunate timing was also during the work day (so I couldn’t see him or call at the time). It’s also safer through text. I used to try to do it face to face. I usually hand them all their junk back or gifts that I don’t want to remember them by. Face to face takes a lot of time but the people I date usually have good emotional boundaries and wo…

Short, simple, and to the point. I love it. To extend it: if you (OP) aren’t marrying him, you may as well stop wasting time and run now. Single life will hopefully provide the safety and rest that is needed for the therapy to work. You must heal from this relationship.

The memes on here are amazing and the inspirational quotes are so true. There are so many people out there ready to be someone’s dream. There are people out there that can hold a conversation, be amazing for you, and is ready for what ever you are ready for. Life is beautiful with or without SOs. Life is amazing without abuse. Men will never give us the satisfaction that a girls night can give us. Go live your best life!!!!!

You are leveling up every day. 2 more years and you’ll have a degree. You are amazing and I’m in a very similar boat (my event ended with him in handcuffs). Set your standards as high as you like. I hope you reach for the stars and find a great one.

You are so lucky! That heartache will fade with time. We can carry heavy hearts for life but it’s more like a scar instead of a bleeding wound. Heartbreak hurts every time. I hope you live a happy and healthy life :)

We may age better if we don’t have the stress of dating/men. 🤣
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/20 02:38 PM

Absolutely! Get financially independent as fast as possible and get out of there. OP is choosing the life partner and this is clearly something she knows she doesn’t want in her life. OP, do you want this behavior in your future? Around your kids? Come on now. He can be amazing but if he is a druggie, nothing good can come of it. You don’t need to change, OP, at all. Set your standards as high as you want.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/20 01:05 PM

This is another reason why I fear dating. I’d have to wait 16 years before feeling truly comfortable letting a man around my kids.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/20 12:57 PM

Sex makes women be connected on a physiological level. He isn’t your soulmate if he can fuck a new girl every night. He doesn’t want your love, he wants to masturbate with your body. Don’t put your heart through so much. Be kind to yourself.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/20 06:20 AM

You will find a man with the same libido at some point in your life. They are out there. We are all wading through the cesspool looking for traits that we need in a person. Hold onto your expectations. Once a month is fine for a lot of people.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/20 06:02 AM

Ghost his ass. He gave you nothing but anxiety. There are men out there that will not ever do this to you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/20 05:59 AM

He’s abusive by being condescending and continues it even after you’ve talked to him about it. Never admitting being wrong will destroy a marriage. He doesn’t take an interest in your life. I’d rather be single than live like that. If you choose to tolerate it until you’re 80 will you be happy? Will he stand by you while you have cancer? I doubt it. He doesn’t even want to listen to your words now.

I have lost all hope. There isn’t any expectations. I look at them as face value. There are so many men that will check all the boxes but then end up being a pedophile at the age of 50 and going for 18 years olds. Live a beautiful life. Men are disposable and not required for happiness (and they will make you suffer). You will have many loves. Do not date with your heart on your sleeve. You got this queen. Live your best life. Get financially independent as fast as you can and that in itself wil…

I lllloooovvvvveeeee being single. My own house, my own kids, freedom to masturbate at 2am in my bed (sry TMI but it’s true and if a man was here I would be shamed or manipulated), staying up late on a school night because I want to, and no one to fight over who’s doing the dishes. The dishes will get done when I do them. I’m free. As free as a bird that flies.

Get financially independent as fast as you can and do not have babies until you are married. You can have babies until you’re 50. There really isn’t a “prime” time. Just enjoy your life and tell him no on the babies until you have your dream wedding. Make him earn it.

I use bumble because I don’t want to be bombarded by people so I feel like I have control. I also haven’t even tried any other app. (Tinder sounds like a monster) OLD is good for practicing communication skills, finding what I like in people, increasing my standards, finding strategies on standing firm about not dating with my heart on the sleeve (practice makes perfect). It should not be the only method of dating.

Men in general are a waste of time. Priorities come before dating. Online dating is great for practicing communication, boundaries, finding attractive qualities and standards but getting burned happens way too much. Time is valuable.

I can’t keep all their stories straight. It’s too much on my mind. I try to talk to a couple guys at a time, vet them and weed them out quickly. If I’m only talking to one guy, I’ll still be open to talking to a couple more. 3 conversations at one time is my limit though. I’m not dating three guys, I’m talking to three. This helps not getting hung up too much on one. I do not date with my heart on my sleeve because of this method.

I’m sooo sorry about the meetups! I had so much hope for that site with all the independent foodie groups (who doesn’t needs more foodies in their lives), yoga events, and things. Thanks for liking my other suggestions. To add one more suggestion... My mom goes on a walk every morning at the same time. After a month, she started seeing the same faces and started saying hi to a couple of them. She had a woman introduce herself the other day and a friendship has formed.

I want to go on dates that are better than I take myself on. I’m wanting to experience more in life. I don’t need a man for that but it would be super cool for one to want to go and actually do shit. Jet skiing? Rock climbing? Biking? hiking? Camping?Snowboarding? Sailing? Let’s eat new foods but not only go out to dinner. I want romance and adventure from someone. I don’t want to map out the details all the time but some men just lack emphasis and drive to plan out a date, never mind an excitin…

Start with making more friends. Having a social circle is worth its weight in gold. Getting a road bike or joining a circle that likes to go camp or kayak. What about meetup.com? Your social circle will help with the negative crap that happens in your dating life. I also believe the handbook is incredible.

I have some nice conversations going on. Since going out is nearly impossible, everything is set to a really slow pace. Think of it as a side hobby and not your main hobby. Even without a pandemic, my rate was one ☝️ a year. One decent human being and not even with the label of “high value”. Online dating should not be the only dating method that people are using. It’s great for practice but we should diversify.

I struggle with the block and delete. It takes practice. Wearing heels takes practice. Some people quit cigs(or men) cold turkey . I firmly believe that when the issues become mentally exhausting, it’s time to free yourself from the stress. Purge it. This is why my last two relationships failed. My rate has been one a year. Obviously they are all ex’s because of my standards. My standards only get higher as time goes on. Dates are nice and frequent though and great for practicing fds. No, I’ve seen a son rob a mother blind on more than one occasion and in more than one family. Watch me drop my own kids if they turn out to be delinquent. Mentally healthy. Hobbies in athletics. Healthy weight. Financially responsible. Intelligent. Healthy eating habits (can I roll the dice for a vegan doctor?). We need to click on a deep level. You won’t have wonderfully high value men until after the age of college. The early twenties are busy with business or school and there is very little room for anything else. You have tons of time. It’s a long life. Don’t worry about it. Don’t date with your heart on your sleeve.

Get financially stable in your own place as soon as possible. Run. I know too many stories where this will end up being a fwb and a pregnancy but no relationship.

Give your heart a break. It can only go through so much. Find hobbies, a stable friend or 5, and get financially stable with your own place. Then, after your heart has healed, try dating without your heart on your sleeve. It’s a long life and you will have many loves. I hope you find a good one. Heartbreak hurts every time. Some worse than others. P.S. my most favorite models are black. You are beautiful!!

You’re welcome! Change is scary and I cried every time that I was told that I was pregnant. Life is easier without dependents. Determining if life is good, though, depends on what you do with it and how you like to live it.

I’m a single mom and the dad is no where to be found. I regret not using fds 13 years ago. I love my kids and I would be lonely without them. Dating is hard but not nonexistent. I get more freedom every year. I’m hoping they become decent human beings and I move towards that every day. Vet your men. You’re looking for the dad to your kids. I do like how the dad is nowhere because I control my environment and raise them with the values I want them to have. If you want kids, and can’t find a decen…

My ex husband left in handcuffs. It took 11 months to date. It’s been nearly 4 years now and I still struggle trusting people and I need reassurance often. These past 4 years have been the best 4 years of my life. No abuse, I’m safe, and he is nonexistent. Try to enjoy life. Life does not begin and end with men.

Take one tylonal. Physical pain and emotional pain are housed in the same part of the brain. Time to spoil yourself. You might not have anyone now but you can reach out to old friends or turn on Facebook. Seriously, date yourself. Spoil yourself. Give your heart healing time. Make life perfect. Being financially independent. Being mentally stable and emotionally ready to endure possible heartbreak and all those other emotions. Fully practiced in the fds handbook. Most likely since you are a victim. They will answer questions for you in court and stand with you at the podium but they are not legal representation. They are there to help you stand strong/be confident in the courtroom. I hope that you find a lawyer who will work with you. I hope you don’t go through this alone!

Marriage is great and I’ve seen many of them work, especially in the later years. I do not think it is for me because of my sexuality preferences. Marriage just isn’t for me. Maybe I’m addicted to the dopamine or maybe I’ve just been abused too much. I’m safer when I’m single.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/07/20 04:17 AM

You can talk to a victim advocate now. They should be available at the courthouse or at least know of one. If you can’t find one, try the women shelters and ask for a victim advocate to accompany you to court. They should know your story before the court date as well. You should feel comfortable with the advocate and confident that they will be able to assist you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/07/20 04:06 AM

Don’t go into a courtroom without a victim advocate. They are free and will shield you from abuse within the court room. If you have the money, I advise you to also seek a lawyer. I’ve seen judges not listen to a thing, berate the victim, and then vote in favor of the asshat on the other side of the room all because a lawyer wasn’t there to stand up for the victim.

I’m raising three kids on my own. It’s been three years now. I love it, but not every minute of it, but I’m in their lives. The father has disappeared and didn’t even show up to our divorce court date. Raising them on my own is a lot easier than raising them with the person I made them with. I’m lucky he disappeared. Sperm donor is a good choice but being financially independent (able to pay 200 per week per kid for daycare for the first 5 years of life) is going to help you more in the long run…

Now I’m reaping the rewards of my thirties, single, with kids who are more independent and school age, and I can dive into my hobbies and alone time. The kids will be out of the house before I’m 50 and I’m grateful that I’ll get a little time to myself before I start helping my parents with their old age. Timing in life is everything. The best ones usually have a project. Whether it is kids, a house project, or a business that keeps the two collaborating and working towards a common goal. Sometimes it is like roommates and sometimes it’s like being best friends. It’s walking through life together. With the tug and pull of the intricacies of life, at the end of the day it is just being around each other. A long trip a year, a date once or twice a month, and a couple gifts here and there sprinkled on non-holidays.

To piggy back on what you said, no one can teach LVM. Why try? Why take that responsibility on ourselves when the conversation has already died? They won’t learn and most likely they are to the point that they won’t change. You won’t get anything out of communicating with them further.

He screamed “this is over” as I walked away from him and down the hallway. I said “done” back to him as I kept walking. He immediately tells me “I don’t want to break up” and starts crying. I locked myself in my car while he packed his shit (afraid of more abuse). He tried getting back with me relentlessly and went into an alcohol spiral. Every three months he tries to get back with me. I stand firm. (Bonded because of child and this was our last attempt to be together. 3 years ago).

I feel like this guy took these words from my marriage that ended a few years ago. No love!

Yes, twice. Both sucked as human beings in different areas though but their love for me was apparent.

I seriously thought this when I saw my XH with a new woman on fb. I didn’t warn her. It took her a couple months to learn and they split.

Those are very serious conversations that you will hopefully get very comfortable with. As you make your boundaries, the conversations should be clear. Dating is fun but also can be scary. Don’t lead people on.

I’m raising my kids. The XH is nowhere to be found for the third year in a row. I don’t fear being alone when they have all flown the coop. I’m working on my hobbies and my identity outside of momhood by keeping in touch with the things I like to do. Doing things alone is a big part of that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/05/20 10:22 PM
3

You did a good job with it
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/05/20 04:55 PM

That’s oddly specific. Being is single is better than dealing with some grown ass persons bullshit. I may never date again.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/05/20 04:47 PM

It’s a long life. Love will come and go. Focus on you and get your self esteem up. I have yet to find a man that wants to treat me the way I want to be treated. The new men just want me to have their spawn. They suck and I’m not having any more kids. Being alone isn’t all that bad. I don’t have to deal with bullshit. That shit is exhausting.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/05/20 04:13 PM

He can match his clothes with a face mask but then put on lime green shoes >.< The message is on point though. Always progress. Never regress.

I’m always alone when I go on my excursions. The beach, the concerts, the dates have all been better when I’m alone. I’m never alone in life, so I crave alone time.

My favorite is taking myself to the movies, buying the popcorn and soda, then taking myself to Olive Garden and getting lasagna and desert. Sometimes I go on walks along the river followed by sushi. Sometimes it’s a shopping spree (pre-pandemic). I love dating myself. Sad thing is, I took myself on more dates than my last bf did. That’s where I came up with my new standard.

I spent my entire twenties with leeches. No more settling!

If I’m putting in more effort or if their effort is virtually non-existent.... If I can date myself better than they are dating me.... Any drama, any anger, and any bullshit is a complete no-go... My latest conversation was with a man who hasn’t gotten around to getting a divorce after 5 years of separation/her moving on. Like, wtf? Have your shit together!

I stuck around before but now it’s hard to stick around at all. They could be great guys but one flaw and I’m like... “this isn’t working for me”. Not wasting any more time. Time won’t wait for me.

You are not low value. I hope you find peace and health. The wealth comes later. A man will only distract you and prevent you from getting to your goals. If one happens to stroll by, you’ll be ready for him. Just as long as you focus on yourself right now. Good luck with your future. It’s one step at a time.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/05/20 05:30 AM
24

When you get to the mentally anguishing parts, it’s easier to throw the whole man away. No contact is peaceful. After the first week, you’ll get over him easier. I still think about mine every day but at least I no longer cry. I’m not under mental stress. I’m not crying myself to sleep. Ghost his ass immediately.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/05/20 05:27 AM
4

Toxic relationships should be avoided at all times. If you feel mentally strained from a relationship, then you are being manipulated. No HVM would dare treat you like he is treating you. Your needs are not unreasonable. He doesn’t want to converse with you. If he did, then he would.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/05/20 05:19 AM
19

Spoil yourself so that you know how you want to be treated. If you spoil yourself then you won’t need to accept the bare minimum from a man. If you feel like a queen then people have to really stand out for you to want to deal with them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/05/20 01:36 PM

Eat your favorite foods, date yourself, and treat yourself like a queen. It is a great way to feel spoiled by investing in yourself during these hard times.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/05/20 01:21 PM

Snapchat helped me because of filters. I would take pretty pictures of me and that led to more smiling. Over time I thought myself as prettier. That led to more confidence. It was a good thing to start with. Try to find one exercise hobby, one hobby to make a realistic goal with, and one hobby where you create something or volunteer. I broke up with mine in January and it still hurts. His effort wasn’t there. I allow my heart to hurt and I look at FDS weekly. I haven’t cried in 2 months. I started to do yoga and jogging. Progress makes me feel better.

I tell my kids that it is okay to miss people if they are dead. It is not okay to miss someone that is just a phone call away. Call people and get in touch if you want to. But for the most part, be okay with them just living “over there” and knowing that they are there for you to reach out to them. We are all just busy with our lives right now and we all still live on earth, together.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/04/20 02:20 AM

Peanut m&ms helped me. After 3 months, I still think about my ex every day. Sometimes you just got to do what is healthy for your soul and leave them in the dust. There will always be more men. Toxic relationships should be avoided at all times.

That one is tough. Expect honesty from him and also expect him to lie. Look inside and see if it is something you want to deal with for the foreseeable future. No contact is best. Every time you think of him or reach out, try to fill the habit with a new habit. Call friends instead. Call family instead. Text friends instead. Read books. Fill your time. It’s much like a drug withdrawal.

This relationship doesn’t sound healthy for your mental health. Sex has a lot of emotions with it. They are hard to break. Start being a badass that you were meant to be. Start being your best friend. What would your best friend say? And listen to it.

I think that dating is mostly wading through crap and trying to find someone that will give you the world. I haven’t found the man that will give me the world yet and I’m 33. It takes time and effort. I hope you find yours. Arranged marriages make me feel like the woman is a piece of cattle that is being bartered for the good of everyone.

I can fit two or three in a day. I usually go out on Saturday and then the rest of the week is mine. Anything more than that will feel like I don’t have a weekend. I prefer fitting a couple short ones in one day just like college classes. It streamlines the process.

My ex husband cost me so much money that it was a breath of fresh air when he left (in handcuffs). No more buying his cigs. No more buying his beer. No more buying his body wash. No more buying his food or cable or video games. No more bitching that he didn’t do shit all day. No more him complaining that he isn’t going to be my babysitter and maid. No more dealing with his doctor appointments. No more dealing with his gambling. It was the best 220 pounds I’ve ever lost.

The card could come with a free burrito from chipotle (or other gift card/cash). I did something similar for my coworkers (we are all in the same classroom). It was a regift of a gift card that I got for the holidays. Another was just 10 out of my wallet and a happy birthday verbally. I found out it was their birthday on morning announcements. Side note: none of these people are dating material in my life. It’s just a work environment.

I do not call every man of high value. My ex spent half of most months outside of town. When he was here, I still wasn’t satisfied with his schedule and how often he saw me (up to 5xs a week). Those are my standards that I broke up with him for. It doesn’t affect his value. Not every high value man is going to be the one people settle down with.

Some places have free therapy. I used one after my marriage. It was for women who were abused. I got so many free sessions and it helped get me on this path. Super proud of you for the exercise. I need to do it every day to level up and not let procrastination get in my way.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/02/20 02:01 AM

Therapy and exercise. Both help tremendously. I started jogging with my dogs and the fresh air is so much better than a gym. Gym is good for rainy days though. Always work on yourself. You are high value and there is always room to level up. You are a queen!

I love the river! I carry mace for dogs that may attack me and my dogs when we are out. It works great on creeps too.

Glad to hear it :) The last concert that I went to was with a man and it was ruined because of him. I rely on myself for a good time and now I’m pretty weary of going to concerts with people now.

You have just entered “your best years”. You dropped 200 pounds in a day. Go live your best life and if you feel weak, come to this subreddit. It helped me so much last month.

I agree. It isn’t forever. I’m not rushing and racing to the future but I do see the light at the end of the tunnel. I get to kiss the kids goodnight every night. I get to teach them everything about cleaning, diet, exercise, and life. 26 days a year is all he gets and he sucks as a human being because of that.

Exactly!!! I try so hard to just let it go because his low value status is not something I have to deal with anymore on a romantic level. I shall restrict everything. No more favors and no more playing nice.

Thank you for this. I got so emotional that I yelled at him for the audacity. He countered with some shit I did 5 years ago. I fucking hate him.

He is dating and is boasting about his freedom and love life... while I sit here and raise his child. I do date but I keep it to myself. He is just being snide and rude at this point.

If you sleep with him he will never date you. Make him waaaiiiiitttt until commitment. Or just drop the drama all together.

Could it be the sex? Mine was the sex and it made me stay 6 months too long. Call him out on his bullshit if he gets through your blocks. Listen to women empowering songs. Focus.

Sometimes letting go of the weights of the past will help. Meditate and seek counseling. You do not need to tell your new one at all. Try blind folding him and moving at your own pace. Baby steps. When you are comfortable enough around him to go further, push the envelope. I use their first and last name as a safe word. Say no like you mean it.

I was thinking that we can throw them away or hold off indefinitely until we find something that we want.

I recently realized that I was acting like a close family member had died (bawling while driving). It helped put my breakup in perspective. Good luck with your healing.

Single until engaged or at least until you’ve thoroughly vetted him. Don’t clarify, keep the dating rotation until he brings it up. These are my goals.

I’ve been having fun trying all of the new vegan restaurants around me. If you ever see a Gangster Vegan, you’d love them. My ex didn’t like restaurants either. We went on a lot of walks along the river instead. If you make it about an allergy to the things in restaurants, it may be easier to swallow for the other person. I feel that if I tell a waiter about the vegan thing that they won’t take me as serious as if I have an allergy to animal products.

Lol on the misread. I thought he was of high value but this site is helping me stay strong. He wasn’t giving my soul what it needed to be happy. No matter how many boxes were checked... I don’t stay if I’m not happy.

Thanks! I needed this. I broke up with someone yesterday who wouldn’t give me the time of day or flowers.

They treat their women differently. Cultural differences are something to consider. Do they come from a culture where the women walk behind the men? Are they physically violent or demand subservient women? Sometimes it’s a culture thing... sometimes they are just dicks.

He determined that it is over when he decided to be mean. Be cordial in public but be deadly behind the scenes.

Too extravagant. He doesn’t care and no matter what you say he will never care. Ghost him like the joke that he is. Also, don’t give him the clothes. Donate them to someone who needs them.
