This all around. Every time I have said this in real life the ENTIRE PEANUT GALLERY has come out against this statement. It took me years to realize it is because most people are in relationships with pieces of shits like this or they are pieces of shit themselves. They were triggered by my words soooooo much that they went into denial.

I just want to caution the use of shame around STD. I have HSV2 and it’s a lot more common and a lot more manageable than people realize. 1 out of 2 women have HSV1 and 1 out of 5 women have HSV2. 85% of people that have it have never shown a symptom. And you can get it even if you use a condom. Having it really isn’t a big deal at all and doesn’t affect my life at all. I never get outbreaks, and there is inexpensive medication i can take to prevent them. If anything, the vast majority of guys have been really kind and cool about it. It helps me weed out the men that were just looking for sex or aren’t willing to have a mature conversation about sex and health before having sex. I am not ashamed of my HSV2 but it is hurtful when people demean and dehumanize those that have it, especially when it is both common and harmless.
