“I’ve been with tons of women” K

Well.. as a woman I’ve had bad dating experiences with a lot of men. I don’t hate men, I learn to spot red flags immediately. With experience, you learn to trust your intuition. I get a feel for who men are, and I observe very. closely. I look at how they react over time, and while I might give them respect, I don’t give just anyone my trust until they earn it.

I didn’t read all of it, but he’s making claims for all women. Yes, some women will connect with their “first” but since many women also break up with, are broken up with, or just somehow move on from their “first” that disproves his point. Second, if you study science at all, there is an average amount of the population who lean towards one outcome, but never 100% of such a large population as the entirety of women. I’m a woman and left my “first” boyfriend who took my virginity after 4 months.…

It’s a bit extreme to think men are always the abusive ones. My step dad wasn’t great but he loved his kids. His ex wife used them as pawns.

Because she continued to be crazy all throughout my childhood. She got custody and we moved to a different state to be close to them. She accused me of breaking into her home when I was 14, for which I was brought into the police station and questioned. She tried to take away visitation rights, didn’t show up on my step dad’s weekends. Before my step brother and sister were born, she had 3 other children with 3 other men and abandoned all of her kids. My little sister ended up jumping out a 2 st…

Eh there are some crazy women out there but if it’s true he probably wouldn’t bring it up so casually. I’d ask for more details. My step dad’s ex wife left him and their two young children in the middle of the night, accused him of rape, and left him traumatized for another 20 years. So, some ex wives are legit bad for you.

That's good to take some space to think about it. I'm sure he has other good qualities but silent treatment is really out there on signs of toxic individual. Actually it's a trait of covert narcissism.

I feel like you made this guy up, that is how far-out he seems. That's awesome! And that's so great that you worked that hard to accomplish your dreams and didn't let the man child stop you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/05/20 01:46 AM
2

Oh no. The silent treatment is a manipulation tactic, and you say he's done it before? What made you think he was cheating, were there any signs or feelings you had? When I brought up my fear of cheating with my current SO he had empathy for me, he wasn't cold or insulting.

Well, we kinda did have that conversation right after I told him I couldn't talk to him anymore. But it doesn't really matter to me, he can't do anything with the information except soak in his own ego or whatever it is he's doing these days. Our supervisors already know from other people how rude he can be, so my job is also not a concern if he tries to come at me with threats on that. Edit: But thank you, yes it is a good step for me.

It sounds like you're at a turning point, and I wish you all the best. AA worked for me personally, but for mental stuff it might not be enough. After you work the 12 steps, there's a magic that happens in the process, but not for everyone. A lot of people in AA are still neurotic af. I'd highly suggest seeing a therapist. I also struggled with rumination, obsession, and negative thinking. I just barely started taking prozac after being critical of all meds, but I'll see how it goes. Also be eas…

You didn't fuck up for showing how you truly feel. You're fucking up in not acknowledging how you feel. You're a human being. You have feelings, both avoidant and loving. Desirous of a close, intimate relationship with someone you're thoroughly attracted to, but also afraid that intimacy will devolve, self-destruct, or not be what you expect or truly want (aka consequences). This could be a huge learning experience for you. I'm a female, but I'm also of the avoidant type. What I've learned i…

When you say "scientifically speaking" men and women don't have different brains, that much. At least, according to a neuroscience professor I had a couple years ago. The hormone production is definitely different, but dependent on sexual organs rather than differences in brain physiology. Have you looked into studies stating that female and male brains are physically different? I won't touch on the rest of your post. Not that I disagree with it, but it's just a lot to cover and whenever I try…

Yes. The pain reminds them (this can happen for men with abusive women, too) of what their only source of "love" is. There's such a conflict with parents - we so want their love in a deeply biological sense, their acceptance and approval is what gets us into the world as successful human adults. Many women do and are rising into that awareness that certain men are a reflection of the painful past they carried, and are avoiding it. I wish in our society there wasn't such a pressure on people bein…

Did I call you a loser? It's not really something I say, especially not to strangers on the internet. I don't know if I'm a feminist; I'm a woman, and I know a little history about women's oppression. I'm not versed in our oppression in today's world, at least not in the "West." Maybe you're replying to the wrong person. You sound a bit angry. I'm sorry, I hope you get help for that.

What about *males* (putting quotes because there is a variety in gender and sexual preferences, so can't say for sure) who also do the cock carousel? I've also had gay male friends who do the cock carousel much more than straight females I know. To get more scientific rather than case studies (my own life experience, doesn't really count does it) hypergamy is an idea thought up by a couple evolutionary psychologists and it's definitely not a scientific term or even a scientific idea. hmmm.. homelessness, addiction, education gap, and incarceration gap are because of women and feminism? Seems like a men's and society's issue, which is primarily run by ... men. Capitalism. Classism. Racism. There are other factors involved. What do you want from life? I'm just reading your post, and am reminded that our brains, beautiful and complex, can create any reality we want it to, or rather that we train it to. You've been so focused on this mindset that it's taken over; although you say you don't see life in black and white, you seem to from what you say. At least, it seems a bit narrow. Your thoughts and fears on this are valid, but off the mark. I say this because a woman who wants to be faithful to you, will. A wise person, or woman, knows her fluctuating hormones are normal and expected. Everyone desires other people of the opposite sex, even people who aren't their partners that they are and stay loyal to. Again: everyone is naturally sexually inclined to people of the opposite (or same, or whatever) sex. It's natural, and normal. I've been attracted to many men, but I know…

Right. In your original post, you said "Men get little reward and all of the risk." That's the loaded assumption you have, based on what you've seen. But that's about it. Here we go again: you think women want something from you, but don't give anything back. You can admit now that YOU were the one who chose to answer to my post. Haha! You're right, I'm bi. I've never really identified too much with that, I just know women turn me on and men turn me on. Certain men, certain women. I think women could give me something men couldn't give in terms of intimacy; so far I've only been with men, so I'm not sure. I'm just open to it. It's not in my realm right now looking for a "good" man because I'm not sure I'd be a good woman for said man, or that I'm in a healthy enough place to even want a good man. I have a man in my life,…

You could berate me intelligently..? Berating isn't a very intelligent way to communicate. You sound like an at least middle-aged man, if you approach your boss or employee or business partner in the same way, I doubt they'd say you were acting in your own intelligence, or being productive in your analyzing their intelligence to do.. what exactly? Part 3: Maybe instead of saying all women don't want children, it's more accurate to say all women are generally able to have children unless they're infertile. Or all women want to have kids, unless they don't because of overpopulation, the society they're in, their lack of desire to nurture another human being, I mean.. I don't know how you can even say anything about how women feel or don't feel because you don't know what it's like to be a woman. Just as you argue I don't know what it's like…

Part 2 of my response: Patriarchy and hypergamy are on different planes of existence. Patriarchy I've stated above; if Patriarchy is the concept of men ruling over women, and hypergamy is women choosing men of a different status and furthering their social standing through that man, eh.. it's not really the same, because a patriarchal society would be that the standard is for men to be patriarchal, to rule over the women, and hypergamy would be an individual choice. At least that's how I see it;…

Since you typed so much, I'll reply, although you have some faulty premises here. No offense. "Why is Sandman, in paticular (you provided no other examples of people that are harmful and dangerous), harmful and dangerous?" - he's inherently sexist. He says all women will cheat, be whores, and generally only has negative things to say. If you can't see that, you're still in the web. It's like an addict; the first step is acceptance. Well this shows me that people have different experiences. I've known two women who were "outright cruel" manipulative, lying, whiny, victim-mentality, etc. but they both have mental disorders and histories of severe trauma (parents dying when young, sexual abuse, incest) and enabling family members. The mental disorder aspect is the most important part here. If you're referring to your family members, maybe they have a common thread of mental disorder. I don't think anything I say will change y…

Huh. That's how I feel as a woman. Like I've woken up to a new world where I'm expected to be and act a certain way, and suppress other "masculine" things, such as rage, hatred, coldness. I'm questioned if I don't want to have a family or have children, because I'm a woman. Or when I say I don't want to get married. I know the struggle for men is different than the struggle for women, or maybe you don't think women struggle. Everyone struggles; everyone has bad traits. I don't know your experien…

Masculine/feminine energy is broadly defined and is subjective. Therefore, I don't want to put words into your mouth about your opinion on your feminine/masculine energy, or assume I can define it in a way someone who's studied it in depth could do, such as an anthropologist or historian. I haven't researched the topic enough to say what feminine/masculine is. Discussion with men and women don't point to categorization of either. My best idea of feminine/masculine energy comes from the Chinese y…

I'm glad you can view my original post rationally, and respond rationally. Hehe :) Dang that sounds like it sucks. For you it seems there is more pressure for men to have a partner than for women to. I'm just comparing my experience to yours; all my female friends are sick of men, and we all understand we may or may not want to have a relationship. To preface, I can totally understand why you and other MGTOW individuals "hate" women. I wish you'd take the time to view your own thoughts and question them. I also get that as a woman, I'm responding in a way that doesn't match up, if I were a man, because I don't have a man's life experience, and therefore can only respond the way a woman would. Do you think you have some level of the traits you've seen in women? Can you go more into detail about those specific traits, or elaborate on them? I…

It's not really a need; it was a question out of curiosity. I don't go around labeling things masculine or feminine. In fact, I even don't know what that means, but we're all different people with different minds and I was curious that as a group of men who don't want women in their lives, if you found it gratifying (or any other emotion or thought) that the lack of "femininity" around - whatever that is for you - allowed you to express that yourself. Yes I understand completely why you don't want to date, or why anyone wouldn't want to date. What I don't get is once you go MGTOW, the women-hating begins. It makes sense, though, as you have to have more reason to avoid what you biologically desire. I'd be more inclined to avoid men if I was constantly afraid they'd beat, rape, steal from, and abuse me, or even kill me, or that all men are ultimately going to do those things if I hook up with them. I guess I can take the risk in the meantime, …

I've struggled with this myself many times. The last person I had a huge crush on, ended up passing away. It was highly painful, and I felt very weird about it since I knew I didn't know this person very well and had a crush on them for awhile. Like, a year or so. Those examples are all pretty extreme. These women might be confused, if they're calling men losers, because the men don't want to date them (insecure) or - and I'd bet this is the higher percentage - we feel personally threatened that some men absolutely hate us, think we're hypergamous and will take advantage of them, etc. It's hard to trust someone who automatically categorizes you into a stereotype based upon your gender. It's funny people call feminine/masculine energy qualities or definitions or labels "new agey" when they've been around for thousands of years in many different cultures. But ok, that answers my question from you.
/r/MGTOW219/09/18 01:43 AM

Right. I don't know if living as a female would make any difference for you. My original question is if, as a male, you identify with feminine aspects of yourself. Do you embrace them, rather than shield yourself from them. I know we don't know exactly what that means, that's why I was asking other men, specifically mgtow men who choose not to have relationships with women.
/r/MGTOW219/09/18 01:42 AM

I can see that. I was asking if you see feminine and masculine aspects in yourself, but my post specifically states I'm not talking about male vs. female or gender. Masculine and feminine "energy" or qualities or traits, to be specific. If you're already a father, you could consider yourself nurturing, and probably say that is a "feminine" quality. It's more than that, though. I was asking if you're comfortable with your feminine side, now that you've gone MGTOW - you're not blocking your natura…

You sound a bit sexist but can't admit it. I just say this because you say a) all women have mentalities of children, b) you don't think women can find inner nirvana/enlightenment/sense of peace. I'm sorry for you. You also feel trapped in your biological sex/gender, as you trap women in an idea you have of them. I don't think there's anything that will change that, as there isn't a whole lot that will change most white supremacists from thinking black people are inferior. They also think black …

Oh good :) I completely understand though. Sometimes if I get a disturbing thought I replay it and obsess, then finally let it go somehow. But it can take some time. You can realize it as a thought pattern. We all have thought patterns that shape our perception, and your perception is being shaped in a way that makes you feel bad about yourself. That's all. It doesn't make you bad or your thoughts bad, just a road you don't want to be on for too much longer.

There is a mental disorder (actually, a few) around the "ideal" body image. Would you like to have one? Anorexia, body dysmorphic disorder, bulimia, probably others. What do you think is true? Do you think everything is based on everyone's looks? Look at the most successful, talented, wanted people in the world. Not all of them are attractive, or perfect, physically. Maybe movie stars, but that makes sense, their looks are their job. Is life's truth really attractiveness, or how to snag and keep…

I personally hate fifty shades of gray. It's stupid. I tried to read the book and watch the movie. The writing was terrible, so was the movie. Does it refer to Dorian Gray? I'm not sure. It's some narcissistic hot-rich cutout of a guy who knows he has "power" over women who don't know their worth or what they really want from sex. It's supposed to be exploratory, I guess. I only watched the first few minutes of the movie, wasn't interested in the rest. Not all women are interested in it. Some wo…

I completely agree with you; the honeymoon magic is lost after a time. In my last long-term relationship (4 years) interest started to dwindle after the first year. I freaked out! I was already so insecure as it was, I thought he felt that way, then suddenly I felt that way. Like shit, do I want someone else? I'd recommend you look at the reality. Do you want to be with this girl for a long time? If not, break it off now. Aside from that, and this is the hardest part, you eventually will have to…

If PUA is the attract-a-woman tactic game, then it IS a game, within PUA standards. A woman will only like what she likes. The PUA might get a woman superficially, and maybe it'll grow into something substantial. I myself read up and listened what I think was PUA information. Who are the women in your life that are moving on so quickly? Would you say they're emotionally and mentally stable, or do they merely appear to be? Do they know what they want? What are the circumstances with their break-u…

Yes, that's what we fought so hard for equality for; so we could dupe you all into giving us what we could easily give ourselves. Seems more difficult to get anyone to give us anything than working for it. First, women are people. We feel no more or less entitled than you, and there's individuality in that. Some people (narcissists and sociopaths) feel more entitled and WILL manipulate others to get what they want. Most sociopaths are recorded to be men, but I'm sure there are women out there wh…

So.. maybe this has already been said, but this article is a theory on mate-switching. It's not scientific research. Haha so in this article, just while reading it, why do you think women want to get married, be in a relationship, and be in love? Just something to question. Women begin to question this themselves. Whether it's long before they get married and have kids, or when they're older and it's too late to question their motives. I think it's funny that you take this article in a biased manner, which you do. It's not in a woman's nature to want to get married. Marriage is a social construct, forced upon …

Hehe :) I might be a weirdo, but I don't think there's any problem with divorce. I find greater problem with marriage, because it will lead to divorce. That's just because it's my personal opinion that when people grow, get older, they're not going to be the same 100% of the time. It takes a long time to know someone! There should be greater fluidity in human relationships, marriage just stifles that freedom. Freedom has become synonymous in gender discussions with "having your cake and eating i…
