I agree. Labels identify phenomena and things exists independently of the labels given to them. Google trends only measures the MGTOW label, and not necessarily the phenomenon. Awareness of the label doesn't necessarily mean people are identifying with it, for example it could just be articles talking against MGTOW.

Actually I wasn't referring only to the ten commandments, but commandments in general (there are hundreds in the bible). Your point regarding the ten commandments is still valid though. Some churches actively go against the commandments intentionally, for example they intentionally break the sabbath, and say it is not a necessary commandment.

It is easy. And yet, how many guys don't do that? I could write a giant list of things that I believe are "common sense" but people still do.

That's why you should work on having at least some kind of "self-employed" income especially passive income. For example the money I am making online is not quite enough to live off comfortably (though I could scrape by). However I would only need to work 10~20 hours in even a minimum wage job and I could live a fairly comfortable albeit minimalist lifestyle. Depends on yer standards though. For example if I live in a flat, cook basic meals, ride my bike... it is going to be alot cheaper than li…

The main city in New Zealand (Auckland) has an average house price of almost 1 million now, roughly 700,000 USD. That's simply a lifelong ball and chain for most people, including single guys, but especial married men.

I giggled.
/r/MGTOW07/07/16 08:20 PM
2

Well that definitely is a problem. The thing is many people will just say "oh well, I'm just a flawed human being fumbling through life, that's why I need Jesus". A big problem with Christianity is they don't follow the commandments laid out in the bible; they don't even try to. Somehow they have gotten the idea that the resurrection of Jesus freed them of any responsibility to follow the bibles instruction, which are now "legalistic".

Well there is a sub for /r/debatechristianity I think. But I assumed I wouldn't have to post there... because you know... a man being single/MGTOW is not really a controversial idea according to the bible.

I think he is talking about conditioning. By giving sex when the man fulfills her requests, she is training him. Perhaps she will withdraw sex if she can't get what she want. In that way sex is used as a tool directly, but also to condition. Over time the mind associates tolerating her with sexual gratification, and the cycle goes on. Like a basic pain/pleasure kinda thing. Yer either the trainer or the dog.

I would say that if there is a problem with western medicine it is the pharmaceutical industry, and like it or not, medicine as a whole is bound to it. To me the position that only synthetic pills and vials which are manufactured in a laboratory are fit to be use as medicine is untenable. Alot of these manufactured drugs are actually derived from plants that have great medicinal properties. But a doctor is not allowed to prescribe or recommend any of these plants, he could lose his license. If y…

It swings both ways in my opinion. There are plenty of alternative quacks out their selling snake oil. There are plenty of conventional doctors on the take from the pharmaceutical companies pushing their own "supplements" which are sometimes barely tested and often fatal/dangerous. The end result being, if you want to be healthy, you need to take personal responsibility for your health. I don't believe any particular form/denomination of medicine has a monopoly over health any more than a partic…

This guy killed himself out of some darwinian faith/dogma. Just like extreme fundamentalist muslim kill themselves as matyrs out of their belief system. It might not be that common, but it still serves as an example. This man is a casualty of the dogma that reproduction is the ultimate purpose of life (among other things). The categorization is fair, but wolf and sheep aren't the only kinds of animals. I understand it's an analogy, but it's dangerous to view anything as a coin with only two sides. For example if everyone is either a wolf or a sheep, then everyone is either with you or against you. Then anyone and everyone you meet must fit into either box. But quite honestly there are some who are neither sheep nor wolf. Some people don't care about you, but also don't wish you any harm. They are a neutral categor…

30% of women in 30s in Japan unmarried. Gee I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that 30% or so of Japanese men that age are herbivore. The main reason women are not getting married is because men are pulling out of the market.

I guess I'm the kind of person who likes to have well versed, well fleshed out views on things. Especially those I am passionate about, and those which I am making practical life decisions off of. I didn't create these videos out of insecurity, or some fear that I am wrong in being MGTOW. I see it as something that happens fairly often to men, and that it would be a good talking point... Especially considering I hadn't found much discussion about this online on other MGTOW channels.
/r/MGTOW29/06/16 02:57 AM

You mean "You're the same as the feminists" accusation? 100%. And even if MGTOW would like women to change, we don't have the state endorsing us like feminism does.

I agree. The first thing is, it's easier said than done. I guarantee you everybody has at some point or another not stuck to the "I don't care what anyone thinks about me" mantra. If we are being honest, everybody cares about what some people think at some point or another. The second thing is, some people don't have an explanation to/for themselves... or their knowledge is incomplete. The videos are not just about accusations, but using them as a means to flesh out knowledge and concepts pertai…

Yes. Although the state of our culture and legal system is not favorable to men, it's true for any particular women. Take hypergamy for example. If woman A is 7/10 hypergamous by nature, if she has ten previous partners, she will be 9/10 hypergamous. Woman B might be 6/10 by nature and sleep with 50 men and become 8/10 hypergamous. Woman C might be 5/10 hypergamous and have one previous partner, bumping her up to 6/10. Previous sexual partner count is one of the main factors driving female hyper…

Break up rate are 50/50. Divorce rates are 70/30. Interestingly, marriages where there is no cohabitation have about a 30% lower divorce rate.

Hey guys remember. This is just comedy. Any insights comedians provide into marriage or female nature is just happenstance and you can't derive any applicable knowledge from it or hold them accountable. Take bill burr for example. Lots of good stuff on women. Complete mangina hypocrit who did the opposite of what he talks about and married a feminist. But it just comedy so no biggie.
/r/MGTOW27/06/16 11:00 PM

It's like a bacterial colony on a petri dish. The bacteria have so much food, they over reproduce and intoxicate themselves, drowning in their own excrement. Hypergamy is a valid instinct. In "tougher times" hypergamy served women well. But we don't live in a cave anymore. If we are living in a state of society, we can't have women behaving as if we are in a state of nature i.e. have hypergamy unchecked. Although I do believe men have a stronger sense of justice, I think it is similar for men, o…

The modern methods of resource extraction can be pinpointed down to the state. These methods are particularly shit because a woman can get resources without association (i.e. no benefits for man). But there are other more traditional ones like marriage or prostitution which men enter into willingly and voluntarily. Also beta orbiting the friend zone has little to nothing to do with the state. But yes, the big ones, the ones that are really bad for social function are the modern ones involving th…

I don't think this plays well with hypergamy. It looks like women want to work less at home rather than men working less. If a man earns more money, its financially sensible for him to be working the most. You wanna be at home less so you can go mine coal like your husband? Cuz staying home and watching oprah is such a tough gig. Divorce rate is 40% higher when women earns more money. Equalizing pay and work load is begging for more divorces.

This is male privilege at it's worst. Going around objectifying woman like she is some kind of sexual object. That woman has feeeeeeeeling and emotions just like everyone else. On a more serious note, tipping a woman 50$ just because she's beautiful is not a good move.

Yeap. It's easy to see with romance. Romance is a belief and concept that men have. Women only entertain romance as it plays into their hypergamous desire. For a man romance is all about "love at first sight" and overcoming impediments, it's about feeling a certain way and giving something to another. For women it is about receiving. The feeling of having power over the man because of his "romance" and the materials she can garner due to his romance. I always use to wonder what romance is really…

Well. If you earn 1 million a year and pay 100,000 a year in child support, that is decent money for the woman isn't it. More than enough to feed her kids and buy a few extra shoes.

I don't have problem with it. I respect the ladies hustle. The man however I feel sorry for. He thinks he's safe behind a prenuptial, but he's not. And the child support for those kids will be enormous either way. The woman is smart. The man is a chump.

I think it's impossible to spend so much time with a woman, be intimate with her alot, and then just say "I don't have feelings for her anymore". All of those things you went through including sexual experience will be drilled into some part of your memory. Even if you "don't want them anymore" the memory is still there. That's why I don't think you can really be friends with a girl after having sex with her 50~100 times and getting to know the dark recesses of her mind. You just can't make that…

It's a hypothetical example and an extreme one. Extreme examples serve as good explanations. Personally I don't date and I have never really dated, rather met girls through social circles as acquaintances (but not friends, friendzone is a no go). You might be right, just going on a first date with a stranger is not a good way. Alot of guys nowadays won't go on a date with a stranger, they'll netflix and chill or whatever. I agree someone has to make the first move, and it's going to be men 90% of the time. That's just the way it is. You say whoever asks should pay. But then you say you will pay upon certain conditions even if they asked you out, which is a contradiction. For me I can agree on paying for a first date if the datee was insisting on paying for a second date. The fact is though everyone is different, some people want to pay this way, some people want to pay that way. Some people don't wanna pay at all…

I don't know if doing things is your solution. Your problem is of mental health. Human beings are always "bored" in some way or another, even if they are very very "busy". The irony perhaps is that rich western people are more bored than ever before, despite more opportunities for satiating their desires than ever before. If you have a problem with soy, then yeah well... Everyone has some food intolerances. There is a big myth of "tofu titties" based on the phytoestrogen content of soy. Funny how flax seeds are a popular super foo, yet much much higher in phytoestrogens than soy. Phytoestrogens are plant molecules, similar in structure to animal xenoestrogens, but different in function. In fact some studies show people with traditionally high phytoestrogen diet have improved health outcomes i.e. low breast cancer…

It's hard man. I have given up many things in my life. Marriage& LTR, meat& other animal products, alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, late nights etc. But the hardest thing for me is sexual appetite. I understand it's an innate drive, but I also understand it is inflamed in modern life i.e. exacerbated. Have you ever thought that regularly feeding your sex drive actually stimulates yer appetite for sex and the appeal of women? Some people here think you can't be MGTOW unless you have been scarred by personal experience with women. I personally don't think so. But I do think a lack of experience with women will affect how well you stick with MGTOW. A 40 year old man who had plenty of women when he was younger and went through love, marriage and divorce is far less likely to "go back to the plantation". For alot of younger more inexperienced guys, women hold more of an alure.

It just happens man, it happens to everyone no matter who they are. I have had heaps of friends throughout my life, probably a few dozen throughout my life... ranging from best friends to just friends. I have pretty much "fallen out" or "lost touch" with all of them at some point or another. And it just so happens that at this point in my life I have no friends really, except my brother. By addressing negative occurrences, we can make life more positive. It's like people who don't like vegans saying "well billions of animals are slaughtered every year, they often suffer alot, and they have no say in the matter". People charge them with being negative, even though they are the ones stuffing dead animals in their mouth unnecessarily. Identifying negative occurrences as negative and attempting to resolve them is itself a positive thing. P.S I have never publically vocally identifie…

even having a relationship and children I think you misunderstand. MGTOW is many thing, with men going all sorts of different ways, but not that. MGTOW are going their own way away from marriage and cohabitation. MGTOW is a reaction to the problems faced with investing in women. As such, none of the paths we cut out as individuals on are own terms are on the path of marriage or cohabitation. This is fundamental. MGTOW is many many things for many different guys, but it is not getting married. Th…

Exactly MGTOW is Men Going Our Own Way. And why are we doing that? As a reaction. So it follows then that even if we are all going our own way, we may be doing so on our own terms, but still doing so for different reasons. We are going our own way, away from marriage and relationships. It follows then that MGTOW aren't going their own way towards marriage and relationships.

Rinsers could be WGTOWS if they do it their whole life. Rinsers are women who squeeze gifts and money out of men for attention without giving sex. Of course if this even qualified, it would be impossible long term. Of course because men only want to waste their money on attractive rinsers, and looks will fade over time.

Well in some ways, the higher quality a man you are, the less attractive these women are to you. And by attractive here I mean in terms of wifability and willingness to make an investment. You have alot more to lose. Even if you found some unicorn and married her, there is nothing to stop her no fault divorcing you when she becomes "unhappy" and take yer hard earnt shit. Well I have seen some stats that show men are more interested in marriage and LTR than women (85% for men, 79% for women). But interest (i.e. what is said) and behaviour (i.e. what is done) is often different. For example in different era, many modern MGTOW men would be in a LTR or relationship, but they aren't because of the toxic relationship environment today. So men are interested in companionship, but are willing to put it aside because it is too costly. On the other hand women might not be…

I was just thinking, what if a MGTOW man married his dog as a publicity stunt? Sure it would attract negative attention and people would inevitably call him a "dog fucker" or something like that. But people would be curious about why and you'd just answer "there are no good women left, it's so bad now you'd be better off marrying a dog!" hahahhaha. And then list all the good things about having a dog, and bad things about having a wife. Would be great. Interestingly one time I said to my ex-girl…

Yes but appetite can be hyperbolized. Just look at how fat the western world is now. Our appetite is insatiable. In the past males were never exposed to so many sexual images of women. He might never even see a woman naked until/unless he got married. Certainly this plays a role. Warren farrell talks about how we get males addicted to females with these images in the media. Everyone talks about "unrealistic standards" for women, but no one talks about the effect all this has on men... which is i…

No. I don't think men should get married, and I think if yer not gonna get married or LTR then you shouldn't have a family. Personally I favour a minimalist lifestyle. In the past and still today one of the greatest sources of stress in a mans life is overworking. Males are pressured to take higher status jobs and work long hours to attract and keep a mate. If you want to persue a high paying job for good reasons (i.e. for yerself, early retirement etc) then that's good. Working hard and retirin…

I see your point, it is a good point. When I look at my parents though, they have always been against feminism. They have been married for like 30 years. Not always happy but stable and they brought us up well, did their jobs etc. But they support me in not getting married and they say "If I was your age in this day in age, I wouldn't be getting married either". It's not that hard to be a healthy weight i.e. below 25 BMI. That doesn't mean it isn't easy as fuck to become a fatty. When I was at my fattest around 83kg I was drinking alot and eating alot of greasy foods and meat. I tried to calorie restrict but it didn't work for me, I just wasn't committed and it seemed bothersome. Few years after that I switched to a plant based diet and haven't looked back. I weigh about 72kg now (im around 180cm) and I eat at least as much food as I did when I was 83kg…

A long time ago I asked this girl out. She was about 5 years older than me, I was in the friendzone, and she was probably a 6/10 at best. I asked her out and she said no because "I don't love you". Well I guess she only dated people she was in love with (it was obviously a lame excuse I can see that now).

Really? When I lived in South Korea as a foreigner all I was was couples, couples, couples. Couple clothing, couples cafes, couple culture! Everyone is always asking you "do you have a girlfriend" if yer single or "when are you getting married" if yer in a relationship. I have heard of flower boys but they don't really seem like herbivore men. I'm sure there must be men in Korea who are MGTOW-esque, I just never encountered it as an identity. The reality is if you aren't willing to have a baby, you shouldn't be having sex. At the very least you shouldn't be trusting women with contraception if yer going to have sex with someone you aren't willing to have a baby with. I know I definitely haven't lived by that in the past, but I'm sure we can agree that it is the logical way. Thankfully in modern times you can just get a vasectomy.

The cheapest foods you can buy per calorie are starchy staples like grains, legumes and tubers. If you want to eat a healthy diet you should maximize whole plant foods like grains, beans, lentils, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, mushrooms (not technically a plant), roots, tubers etc. Minimize processed foods like refined oil, tv dinners, pop tarts, potato chips etc, I think we all know what that processed food is. Semi processed foods are okay sometimes, for example flax seed that has been proc…

But the chances are thing's will change by themselves before we reach a point were everyone is MGTOW and the population dies off (if that's even possible). MGOTW never claimed to be the solution for society though, only for individuals. It's not something that we today have to worry about. But perhaps a few generations now it will be.

Yes, but understand MGTOW is not a movement, it is not mens rights. Everybody in is in some way dependent on each other, there are no truly "self made men". So this doesn't really change whether you are MGTOW or not. But helping others is really a belief that I have, and not intrinsic to MGTOW. MGTOW is uniquely masculine, because our nature tends towards solitude and individual pursuits. There won't be any male banding together/uprising on a collective level. I know in places like Korea in the past the man actually would hand over his paycheck... but under neo-confuscianism the man also received benefits (like the women actually not being bitches, cooking/cleaning all day/ being a good mother/licking the knob on request etc) men never get from modern marriage. He hands over his paycheck and what does he get out of it? I can only guess some kind of sexual thrill... But he is supposed to be an "alph…

99% of males do not behave, think and feel the same way 99% of females behave. Even if it were true that 99% of males are assholes, society inhibits them from behaving too poorly. Whereas with females, they are given more slack and get a way with more asshole behavior than men. Of course females have their own problems and there is truely sexism against females sometimes (especially in places like saudi arabia, not USA). But because 99% of media and society is pandering towards women from a fema…

Just recently there was a video posted here about an ugly guy who hadn't had a date in years dressing up like a woman for a dating website. he got over 400 responses in a week. The trend I have identified is a three fold increase in subscribers every year since 2013. Yes. They are instructing women on how to increase their sexual market place value by dressing provocatively and using make up to simulate sexual arousal. By increasing their SMV, they can have greater resource extraction from men, and experience more lavishness and gratification. That is why they are so popular.

Yessss. The youtube bimbos are like a caricature of the modern female. I think that lack of purpose could be something that is a problem for all millenials, but stronger for females. In Schopenhauer's "essay on women" he highlights a similar point, that fundamentally women are biologically primed to concern themselves with the species as a whole and their survival. Perhaps the selfishness and hypergamy which boosts their sexual market value in the end, allows them to further the end of species a…

There are reasons to get married, but no good ones. In many countries (including mine) if you are in a long term relationship, it will become common law and then you might as well be married. As far as your analogy, if I was black and I kept pulling over unfairly, it would be agitating. If I lived in the CBD and didn't need to drive, I would stop driving. Can you really speculate about their intentions? For me, I can deduct that someone who abstains from all animal products and byproducts as a behavior is most likely doing so because they want to reduce animal suffering and exploitation. Ethics is what you will or won't do (your conduct) based on your belief/morality. Vegan women believe in reducing animal suffering and exploitation, and so their ethical choice is to abstain from using animal products and byproducts. That guy does a 5 minute shpeill of data about how fucked over men are in society, and then jumps to a conclusion "it doesn't matter, I had girlfriends when I'm poor and 1 in every 1000 woman are decent... and even if that's not the case, can't we just call it something else!".

So, your can't doesn't do whatever the fuck it wants? I wonder your criteria for loyalty. They certainly aren't trainable. I have thought about this topic and on the whole, cats seem to be like women, and dogs seem to be like men. There is a reason people call some women "catty". In saying that there is a reason people call some women "bitches", and perhaps there is some discrepancy between the sexes of different animals... even personalities. If your planning on going bush, it's very romantic but it's difficult. If you want to live nomadically and avoid paying taxes, a very viable option is being a digital nomad. There are many ways you can make money online, especially passive income is a good setup. I have made thousands of dollars through paypal in the last 6 months through virtual item (computer game) sales and the government can't touch it.

If anything needs to be licensed it's reproduction. People should be encouraged to reproduce in the west (fucked if I'm gonna though)... just the idiots, retards, stupid, narcisistic, scumbag, degenerate, unhealthy, obese, sluts & whores, douchebags, the poor & impoverished, the genetically weak, those of improper age, and bitches etc should be filtered out heavily through a rigorous selection process.

Also energy in the body is not only calories (i.e. glycogen), it is also nervous energy (including things like hormones, neurotransmitters, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, micro-organism content, organ functionality, arterial function/cleanliness and more. First thing is it can lead to excessive masturbation, which can drain your energy. Not only that but the more you masturbate, the more you stimulate the sex drive... which personally as a MGTOW is not something I want. Another thing is it can create unrealistic expectations of women i.e. you expect the sex you have to be like in porn. There is no doubt women are attracted to money... but it is debatable whether or not it is first and foremost money. Money is a representation of status, and as others have said, status is a bigger factor. Women are attracted to looks, confidence, status and... a sense of self-worth/direction i.e. doesn't pander to the pussy. There are many who will fuck a guy with no money... but usually they will settle down with a guy who has money. Alpha fucks, beta bucks mang.

I often think that the perfect relationship would be something like this. I finish work. I'm at home. All the cleaning has been done. There is a meal prepared waiting for me. Yes. Any chef will tell you the secret to cooking really good rice is you gotta do it in two parts. The first part you boil the shit out of it until there is a tiny bit of water left. At that point you put it on a really tiny heat for like 10-20 minutes, which steams it. That's why they call it "steam rice". Shitty rice cookers just boil the shit out of it and then pop. Btw: Basmati white rice is the healthiest white rice to eat, but brown basmati also happens to be the tastiest brown rice (IMO)…

Firstly B12. B12 is not found only in animal foods, nor is it made by animals. B12 is made by certain bacteria (it is technically bacteria poop). Certainly vegetarians and vegans (who don't supplement) have higher rates of B12 deficiency than meat eaters. Some studies have shown as high as 90% for vegans who don't supplement. However, also for meat eaters it is as high as 40% deficiency. So actually, even meat eaters have B12 deficiency at quite a high rate, and poor absorption is one of the rea…
