Her fear of getting fired could be justified. Did they ask her about her past when hiring her? Was there something she signed or said that would be grounds for firing her should this information come to light? Christians are generally very forgiving when they aren't being lied to. Getting caught is usually worse than the actual offense. The title tells me she isn't religious at all. Religious people have no trouble asking god for forgiveness. They do it on a regular basis.
