"If you're not enjoying your life, you may as well not enjoy it while doing something productive" I say this to myself while walking to my gym.

I too live in Canada and as I just hit 24 I am debating joining the Canadian Forces. Feel stuck in life as I recently had to move back in with my parents after living with my now ex for 3 years. Incomplete education, low status job, not too many friends and feel like I need a big change in my life and can't think of any other option right now. Would you say joining the military was a catalyst for changing your life for the better?

Are you increasing your workouts by 5lb's each session? That is, 2.5 lb's each side of the bar. The purpose of the gradual increase in weight is to prevent significant soreness so you don't have an excuse to skip workouts. Also make sure you have proper form or you'll face a roadblock when you're at heavier weights. Whey protein powder speeds up recovery drastically. Take it on your off(recovery) days too.

Maybe. But is a girlfriend actually what you want more than anything?

Out of curiosity what country did you go to? As a 24yo guy who lacks social/financial value right now, my only value is in my looks and body. It is my goal to go to spent next summer in a country where I can capitalize on this value. As of right now I'm thinking Thailand.

Thank for your reply i think your conversion is correct that number make more sense. Dr's grumpy assistant misinformed on about the unit of measurement i guess. I have gained 20-28 lb since the relationship that brought me to TRP ended 5 months ago. I was hovering around 150lb and very scrawny. Scale has me at 178 this morning. I did start creatine after that which would cause increased water weight. But i've bulked up considerably eating 6 eggs/half a sweet potato every morning. Lifting/playing…

18 months of my life was plagued with the insecurity and lack of confidence that arose out of face acne and scars, and I am finally over that dreaded phase of my life through a sound routine and the healing power of time. It was actually the primary cause of me turning beta in my 5 year LTR(im 23), and the subsequent breakup that led me to TRP. As far as my back goes what worked for me was an olive and coconut oil based soap with natural plant extracts from a local supplier. Although I've never …

Napolean Hill was a renown author who wrote about attaining wealth and achievement. The value of his writings, when applied, cannot be argued. But ironically, this man would have died poor and penniless if not for the talents of a more skilled entrepreneur named Clement Stone, who came along and monetized Hill's writing more effectively. Chew on that one for a while. I'm curious on what the story is behind this. I just read Clement Stone's wiki page and he credits Hill's Think and Grow Rich book…

However being an atheist implies you're 100% sure he doesn't exist. Claiming that religion perpetuates delusion isn't strictly an atheist belief. No one said anything about atheism except you. The original commenter could be spiritual but not identify with any religion, or may be agnostic.

Kind of unexpected but "It's a beautiful day" by Michael Buble is a perfect example of abundance mentality and the positive feelings/results of getting broken up with. Michael Bublé - It's A Beautiful Day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QYxuGQMCuU "Last Nite" by the Strokes (anything Julian Casablancas really). He carries the perfect DGAF attitude. I got a summer job at a tourism information centre and while it isn't the most glamorous job, it allows me to talk to a decent amount of younger woman. I am in monk mode to better myself and have no desire to be in a relationship at all, but today I asked an HB7 for her number since she came back three times over the past 2 days which was a pretty obvious IOI. We're going to meet up tomorrow and I figure hanging out with her is a good situation since she will be gone in a week, so there is the p…

For face acne: A face wash containing salicylic acid(paraben free). A toner to restore your skins acidic PH balance. A glycolic acid blend to slough through the dead skin cells on the top layer of your skin and increase skin cell turnover(Devita blend has worked amazingly for me). A non comedogenic moisturizer (I use a very simple hemp oil product with other beneficial ingredients added. My skin is extremely sensitive to breaking out from basically any lotion product.) This routine has basically…

I have used 100mg modafinil infrequently for those days I want to max out the productivity I can put forth on a given day. Some things I noticed: Even with eating 5 large eggs at breakfast, I still get a headache in the evening unless I take a 300mg Alpha GPC (choline) supplement with my dinner. It can really fuck up your circadian rhythm. Several days ago I took 100mg, one small cup of coffee, and 200mg theanine at 10 am on an empty stomach, and couldn't fall asleep until 5am. The reduced hours…

Lol your post is a bit of tough love, which I think everyone needs. You make some valid points that I have previously reflected on and have been working to improve upon. However someone's writing style isn't really indicative of their personality or the entertainment value they provide in day to day interactions.

Reminds me of one of the maxims in the IllimitableMen fifty shades of red series: "IM MAXIM #128 – Women need their ex’s to be losers to feel like they made the right choice. If even one is a winner, her hypergamy will realise a glitch in its optimisation and thus the afflicted woman becomes awash with regret." Extra motivation to cut the negative habits and continuously work to improve yourself.

Thanks for the link. It's funny because at one point the video says "birth control can suppress the effects", and it got me thinking how my ex got off continuous birth control just 6 months prior. I realize I turned somewhat beta in the last year, although the first 4 years she followed and looked up to me like a puppy dog. Now that im aware of TRP philosophy and am focused on my self I should be more prepared for maintaining frame in the future.

You basically hit the heart of the matter. It just goes to show how typical my situation is, especially in a person's early 20's.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
