because settling affected their manhood. Because settling made them non-prospects to women and they held that the world was actually just for far too long.

There is an organization in Windsor, Ontario who could desperately use allies called the Windsor Young Men's Residence. Have you at all been involved in any correspondence with anyone involved?

What amounts to an 'orgasm' for men is pretty much like "What sex feels like" for women, so there's that. I've never been brought to screaming convulsions like women I've been with. Tell you what: you can get the sensitive part of your clit lopped off and it'll be nice and equal.

While I generally agree with you, if I had to say, it's that the reality of these movies not showing overt sexual interest is being mistaken for betaness. This said, I think there may be a seed of rhetoric in this and cultivation theory. Many men have grown up without male role models or just men and thus do not know what to emulate. Cultivation theory posits that, in the absence of information, media will not inform our behaviour per-se, but inform our knowledge base. In the case of young boys,…

Completely agreed. It's the parallel to the feminist rhetoric of "Ariel teaches little girls to abandon their families and change their bodies in order to please men".

I'd say all in all, we're talking about the difference between a hand being cut off vs. a foot. All this said, and this is me: I have been forcibly ridden, and what bothered me most was not the act but that it was done in blackmail of a false rape claim.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/16 06:58 AM

I'd agree with you were it not for the fact of the brain 'mapping' of the male genitals as the primary focal point of sex. There exists a probably similar chance of penile injury from forceful riding as forceful vaginal entry. Anal is different because of the mechanics. I think it is far worse. But women react to rape more harshly due to their mental physiology and chemistry, as they do with most other traumatizing or even just negative events.

Sure there are opportunistic women out there that prey on desperate guys in order to use them as orbiters, but they are in the minority. Mostly it's a miscommunication due to the lack of social skills on both sides. You don't seem to understand. I used the justification that they weren't showing me more interest and thus probably weren't interested, despite showing other signs. It's not oppourtunism, it's just being a bit selfish. That active hiding of intention is pretty telling, though. You're telling me that the guy with a crippling fear of rejection has just-so-happened to be able to expertly hide their intentions relating to sex? I'm sorry, I don't buy it. I've been in the position of 'fuck zoning' someone and did what I presume to be the exact analogue of friend-zoning. Orbiters are also primarily a result of feminist inundation that being forward or showing sexual interest is oppressive, however, or at least a huge…

But most "MRA"s dont do it to further the rights of men, they do it to shut up women. Thats why if you go to /r/mensrights youll find the top post making fun of how the original ghost busters did better than the new one. That'd be because the movie positioned itself as the "Not Male" Ghostbusters and ended with the monster getting shot in the dick. This is not 'shutting up women', it's tearing down the hateful rhetoric of feminists.

I do think female on male DV exists, definitely. I think those guys don't want to fight back, either out of fear that they will end up being accused of DV themselves or because they have become way too submissive. Or they live in a culture where it's a tenet of that ever present 'toxic masculinity' to never hit a woman.

I don't think it's malicious, I think it's willfully stupid and selfish with the plausible deniability of 'just being a friend'. If you're telling me that women are this bad at picking up body language cues and general social cues, they are, as a class, functionally retarded.

The current analysis points to a reality where women get more for lesser work. For the wage gap to only be 4% when controlling for quatifiable factors is absurd. Base pay has an exponential relationship to hours worked.
/r/MensRights28/09/16 08:39 PM

Rape is bad, the 'problem' of rape is overblown. We do not have anything remotely approaching 1 in 5 women being raped on campuses. It is closer to 1 in 10,000.

"Men" are an immutable identity group bound together by nothing by a happenstance of genetic code. You're a member of an ideology which has prominent members hate men and actively attempt to systemically ignore and create their issues.
/r/MensRights21/09/16 08:12 PM

Legitimately and truly, if we had to compare: male circumcision removes a mechanical function not present in female circumcision until ~Type 3. It's arguably 'worse', though both are so horrible it's like comparing getting a leg cut off to an arm.
/r/MensRights10/09/16 04:20 AM

If the mechanism it's suspected circumcision creates that protects against HIV, then female circumcision would be far more advantageous.

The only logical answer here is, they hate men. Either that or they believe women are entirely more important than men and deserve total priority, even when it means ignoring men's issues totally. The latter leads to the former. If you believe that men and men's issue are always secondary to women's, that is going to lead to, at least, some disdain of the group and their issues.

I am not a father nor do I plan to be one, but if there is one thing that profoundly irritates me about from what I hear about child-rearing--in particular, baby rearing--it's the utter cost of it all, in particular, relying on consumer products like baby food and diapers. Men typically like to feel useful. Showing them that they can make baby food with an immersion blender and knowing where to buy in bulk and so on could make a pretty profound difference.

How? Because we said it effects women too? So much about "WHAT ABOUT DA MENZ!" No one said that. We are saying that traditional masculinity tells men to "man up" or "deal with it" instead of seeking support. Traditional masculinity 'tells' men to not expect support, because they won't get it. And they don't.

I used to know quite a few women in the sex trade. Gonna put my two cents in here: If sex workers work out of the body rub parlors they have some protection Body rub parlours are probably the single worst place for a sex worker to work. Because trading sex is illegal in sex parlours, there are no checks and balances for the workers, who are often pushed to upsell. The management takes a large cut. This would not be an issue in actual brothels. Additionally, when sex work is legal, these women ha…

No but hormones make their behaviour different and toward certain inclinations. Also don't put words in my mouth.
/r/MensRights20/11/15 03:54 PM

The only reason I mentioned rape is because you can't say men are biologically inclined to do anything. Not rape, not stoicism, not any of that. They are simply human with a vast array of actions and motivations. Yes you can. Do you think hormones have no effect on behavior? Are all those trans people just subject to a massive placebo effect?

Sure, but to what extent nobody really knows. To date we haven't been able to control for nurture when examining the effects of nature. Yes we have. Yeah, of course. One is drunk and incapacitated, the other is not. Many, many feminists purport consent to be literally impossible if someone is even intoxicated. Where have I defended the second wave? They're fucking terrible and best exemplified via McKinnon, Greer, and Dworkin. You know I've probably read more feminist literature than you, right? That said, the third wave is merely a repackaging and extension of the second wave. It's really not much different. It's just more obfuscatory due to the influence of post-constructivism and critical theory in general. There's not too much bell hooks says that is out of line with the conclusions about culture …

You're aware that the history of false accusations is barred from entry into consideration due to rape shield laws, right? Many survivors are so traumatized and afraid that they don't report the rape to the police or other authorities. RAINN confirms using 2009-2010 FBI Statistics Yep, 50% of them, even, bringing the grand total of rapes to something like 1 in 200. There is usually a delay between the assault and the incident being reported, if the incident is reported at all. During this time e…

I've seen a lot on that, but that's also much bigger fish than the movement can handle. Unlike feminists, MRAs aren't funded billions upon billions of dollars every year. Resources are quite limited, especially when they have to do things like pay private security because feminists condoned by the academic institutions that are ever-so 'for equality' keep pulling fire alarms and make legitimate bomb threats. How about this, " We are not at a point to analyze “due process,” when many survivors are publicly shamed on their campuses, when charges against assaulters can be dismissed out of hand by administrators, when an assaulter is allowed to sit across from a survivor and shout down their story." ~ Sarah Merriman, a spokeswoman for SAFER Campus, a national advocacy group We are not a point to consider due process for rape, apparently.

What I've seen from many who oppose feminism is just outright attacks on the movement, sometimes with shockingly offensive sexist and racist undertones. You know what? At this time in 2015, I don't doubt it. People are getting disgustingly fat and don't exercise. Male sex drive is linked highly to their testosterone output which is linked to proper diet and physical activity. There is also the issue with men wanting to fuck but not really wanting to go through with foreplay. With the high availability of wank fodder these days, I am sure that also contributes.

Why do you think so many women believed this for so long? Sex is such a fundamental part of existence that for billions of adult women to think this and propagate it likely means that many, many women simply do not enjoy sex or view the benefits they can get out of men as being superior to sex. Also, that so many women believed this kind of casts doubt on the precept that men just wantonly raped their wives if they could be controlled via sex.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/15 07:05 PM

Personally, I think physically men peak at the age of 33 years old or so, assuming health and fitness of course. MBP is likely not setting in yet, they have finally grown into their faces, and if they're remotely in shape they're also just way better than all the other lard worms out there. It's a slow taper from there. Men do not deal with anything like menopause as well, so a 55 year old man will generally be infinitely more attractive than his female counterparts.

How do you feel you're being held responsible? Not denying anything, just curious. "Men can stop rape." "Don't be that guy." I don't see so much masculinity being seen as negative, but the negative aspects of masculinity under attack with no healthy alternatives offered. The 'negative' aspects of masculinity are seemingly all of masculinity not devoted to helping women, essentially. Of course women like successful men. Men like successful women, too. Hypergamy is a near-female exclusive trait.

Fathers interact with their kids FAR more now then they used to. In the old days, "absent fathers" often used to be either absent because they were out drinking or cheating on their wives, or if they were home, they were abusive. It figures you believe this. No, it was considered bad but it was tolerated and not widely talked about because of the position of women in society. Men regularly went to the gallows for wife beating.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/15 01:17 AM

I don't believe that for a second. If you think men are being unfairly treated on a systemic level, then the issue lies with those in power. Mostly men. You're thrusting these issues on the average woman, who did not cause it and is powerless to change it. We live in a democracy where women vote more than men and those 'men in power' vote according to female interests.

The average woman likely gets paid more than the average man. Base wage has an exponential relationship with average hours worked, i.e. I can demand more money per hour because I tend to work more hours. That it's only ~4% when linearly controlling for experience, hours worked and so on points to a reality where men are likely subsidizing women's labour. Think about it like this. Suzy works 60 hours a week and John works 40 hours a week, but otherwise have the same job with same experience etc. …

Fair. But I think the question is more of, where is the line between attire justifiably inviting male attention versus not? In general, it's going to be lower the more attractive the woman is. I think a preponderance of evidence standard is reasonable for kicking people out of school, which isn't the same thing as "they were accused and the two people had sex". It literally is given the nature of most rape claims. You have two people, 50% and 50% at the start. One person makes a claim. It is now 51%. There have been multiple lawsuits on this. The current system more or less guarnatees male eviction when accused of sexual assault.

You again linked two studies. I gave you one showing you are wrong. Also, a PR survey isn't a study. Neither is some unaccountable story. The one that is a study was not impartial and primed its subjects, gave a poor cover story, and was a response to the overwhelming data showing a preference for women in STEM. The researcher is a known ideologue whose later work was to show how sexist men were for doubting her first study, which was based on disproving this one: http://www.nap.edu/catalog/1206…

Yeah and feminism is doing a bang-up job not perpetuating that narrative! But seriously: you don't think boys are? Even when I was a kid, everyone was a potential predator, thief, bully, and so on. You're pretty much taught that if bad things happen to you, it's your fault and your shit to deal with, which may be the key difference between men and women's socialization, hence why the concept of 'victim blaming' regarding sexual assault seems so bizarre and repulsive to them.

I think we should instill minimum income so the people who don't want to work/work useless jobs don't and those who do want to find work. The amount of administrative/clerical jobs which amounts to administrating other jobs is fucking preposterous. Women joining the work force was ultimately a net-negative for society as it reduced the bargaining power of the workers, but at the same time, no one should be denied the right to work.

What % of women do you believe have NPD or high presence of narcissistic traits? What % of men? You only have to look at the "Raised by Narcissists" subreddit to see the absolutely ridiculous amount of women who are toxic narcissists vs. men. I think with men, narcissism usually exists at best with other delusional tendencies, whereas with women is co-morbid with cluster-B. Cluster-B's are notorious for manipulation, and I think the vast majority of harmful narcissists are mothers who escape det…

I have seen it only in this, in the Simpsons episode riffing off of Denis the Menace, used in media decrying its use to defend men/boys as abusers, and feminists claiming it is invoked at every turn to excuse rape. Legal rights are what rights are. Does the law preclude them from anything? No? Then they don't lack rights. That said, men are judged as incompetent buffoons in much of what they do until they gain a large amount of status. This is especially true in any social matter, be it child raising or relationships, things arguably more important than just being good at your vocation--which men are supposedly not as good or competent at either.

Based on data from 2006 to 2010, about 33,200 HPV-associated cancers occur in the United States each year: about 20,600 among females, and about 12,600 among males. Cervical cancer is the most common HPV-associated cancer among women, and oropharyngeal cancers (cancers of the back of the throat, including the base of the tongue and tonsils) are the most common among men. Men make up for than half of new cancer cases related to HPV.

It certainly does not seem to reflect working stats in the US, where women make up almost half of all full-time workers. The U.S. is a first-world third-world. I don't see the issue with suggesting a way to help lower class women provide for their families so that the brunt of it doesn't fall on the men. The brunt of it will fall on men via taxes. Raise taxes on the hyper rich, then we'll talk. Otherwise, it's merely men subsidizing the careers of women.

They weren't the majority by any means, but they could be. Were there barriers? Of course, but there were for many, many other social axioms: chief among them was class, which was often overcome. Most, however, were housewives, and there is nothing wrong with that. While I, quite frankly, think the idea of a modern house wife being a 'job' given the amenities we now possess, back then, it was absolutely crucial, and women's place in our survival should not be at all downplayed.

Maybe not in the positivist sense, but we've attempted to falsify this time and time again, and it definitely appears more than likely at this point.

But I can't help feeling they're on very dodgy ground, taking on the young male suicide thing. For a start, it's a phony panic, catering to that lowest of modern male desires - to be a victim -…

From what I have seen, some of our most outspoken proponents of men's activism comes from women in their late twenties and onward who have grown up with the effects of feminism, become enamoured by it, then seen past the happy-go-lucky veneer of it being a movement concerned with total equality and exposed its real underpinnings and systemic effects.

CDC stats for 2010 last year found that, within a 12 month period, nearly as many men reported forced envelopment as did women rape. Women face violence and rape at a much higher percentage than men No. No they don't. and men are oppressed when acting female (which comes out in homophobia, where men are attacked for expressing emotions, having sex with men, caring about their looks). Right, so perhaps we should try to understand why a large portion of the population is making similar choices. Why do women want to work with pets and men want to work with livestock? There is plenty of research to suggest female hormones are responsible for these types of feelings.

Just because something has a tangential link or connection to a past practice does not automatically make it derived from that practice. Can you really call a system wherein women hold practical exclusive power in the dating realm and thus demand a provider, a lover and so much mo…

Exactly, you can't measure sexual pleasure, and therefore the risk of denying a man it of his own accord is simply too great to provide nebulous benefits that are almost exclusively counteracted by use of a prophylactic, especially since it's been shown that more children will have complications from circumcision than will receive direct benefit.

Right, we should definitely nurture boys by patting them on the head and saying, "No, you don't have to do your homework because you're special because you're a boy and boys don't like doing their homework!" What a great idea. Lmao. This is a strawman, and you're also dense in that you can't see the failings of a system that arbitrarily ascribes requirements to a 'gifted' program that has no backing other than that you can do menial work. No one is saying that. This is a strawman argument created by you. The issue here is that boys aren't doing their homework because they think they're above it, and then they complain about how they aren't accepted into the gifted programs because they didn't do their homework, and then you slap the title "Educational system favors girls" over all this which completely covers up the fact that this is the boys' fault for not doing their homework. I'd just like to note something about the suicide fact. Women are reported to attempt suicide three times as often as men are, but men have a higher rate simply because they use lethal methods such as weaponry while women usually just try to swallow too many pills. "Attempted" suicides include suicide and suicidal thoughts, FYI.

Todd Akin specifically said, in a nutshell, that points brought up in the abortion debate about pregnancies resulting from rape are non-points, because the female body has the ability to terminating a pregnancy if it feels like it's been 'real' raped. Adding onto this, if men are societally the pursuers, well, they're going to be less choosier than women, who are typically not.

The entire crux of her argument is based around pregnancy woes being so incomparable to any system plight men can face that it instantly makes her gender have straits so above and beyond anything men can experience that to compare the two is offensive in her mind. She has not in any way proven this and given a one-sided argument. Hey, I wonder if barren women fall under her oppression umbrella, or trans women? Her statistics for maternal death are also woefully off.

Because there are going to be people who don't actually read the article and go entirely on your summary: The specific reasoning the judge offered was that the offender's intent to rape was conditional on the victim being a ciswoman, and since she wasn't, it was only assault. Which is special pleading.

Perhaps the answers aren't considered good enough? I've seen the Feminist Frequency videos, and the woman is simply not a good arguer. Considering the best refutation I've seen of male portrayal in video games/comics is "IT'S A POWURRR FANTASY", I'm not confident her videos will do anything except be thrown around on blogs for a bit about women in video games.

I think her poorly exhibited point is that the feminist side has to make an argument as to how much 'internalized misogyny' women who dress revealingly possess. To what degree is it reflecting cultural pressure to embody a certain type of beauty, and to what degree is it women's own agency allowing them to dress the way they wish? If it's most of the former and little of the latter, than how should women dress? Should women just be wearing the analogues to male clothing all the time?

Never gonna happen. Feminism done and gone fucked up by using just-so rationalizations and baseless assertions about masculinity as the core of its ideology when it was hijacked by bourgeois women in the second wave wherein identity politics superseded class as being the most pertinent issue surrounding gender. MRA ideology is rooted in analytical philosophy. Feminism is continental. They cannot be friends.

Yes, because society treats Steve as a ravenous monster. Because according to society, rapists are monsters. If you rape someone, you are a monster, because only monsters rape. Therefore, if you're not a monster, you can't possibly rape! .... Do you not see how this line of thinking would then lead to society thinking rape is par for the course? And you've presented no evidence that this is the case, almost like you're beginning with preconceived conclusions to fit premises.

Yeah, we have those. Misogyny and misandry. Sexism requires a qualifier to be accurate, and yes, it's a scheme, just not your strawmanny 'diabolical' one, but rather, one necessary to maintain the theory that women are unilaterally oppressed in our society, and it's done so by constraining language to ideology-affirming definition.

Nobody said men weren't objectified. There are material differences in the effects of objectification on men and on women. That's a big part of objectification theory. The parallels don't run very deep. Oh, do tell. Please, what is the material difference between being treated like a tool and treated like a decoration? The parallels don't run very deep because the goal posts for what qualifies as 'parallels' have been made so narrow as to make critical theory consistent that the only thing getti…

Because of logistical reasons. We as humans make judgements and construct perceptions based on the information we receive. I've also read feminist work extensively. It's almost all based within a philosophy known as post-modernism, which is encapsulated within an epistemology (critical theory and constructionism) wherein the metrics for evidence of their arguments would not be admissable in any other type of academia. Pretty related. I "know" just like I know pretty much anything: through inference. Given that she has a massive history of lying about sexual assault and has tried this before, that she has phone records saying "Don't worry, this guy has a lot of money. I know what I'm doing." to an inmate just hours after the rape supposedly happened, the courts ruled it not rape, outright lying in court repeated to the point that, were she on trial for anything but rape, she'd be charged for perjury. While I'm not really apt to believe this poll, this "War on Women" is precisely to do what this suggests. Young people don't fucking vote. As more women become married, they switch political allegiances and vote Republican. There are WAY more people at the bottom than at the top and are thus representative of a greater portion of society, and society itself. Furthermore, the reasons why so many at the top are men can be explained by: 1) Men being socialized to value money and status much, much more than women, who opt for a balanced approach to life in higher numbers than men 2) Men being socialized to be borderline-sociopathic to be groomed into these spheres, and that sociopathy appears more in men 3) And, of cou…

The actual theory behind it is sound and a truism: the more ways you exist upon a disadvantaged axiom given the relevance of said axioms, the more disadvantaged you are likely to be, and the effects are often multiplicative, especially since of socio-economic status is exponential in nature. The way it is employed in practice, however, is entirely different. It is almost always used a societal grand narrative that ignores context and puts 'are you a woman?' at the top(bottom) of the totem pole. …

"Men control the public domain" I found this one really fucking funny (also, for those of you who don't know, Julie Bindel is a lesbian separatist feminist who absolutely despises men). Women control spending, cultural norms and fads, the social sphere and dating norms, home life, and education. Furthermore, I've always loved the 'haven't faced hundreds of years of persecution'. The issue that is being discussed in the image is very different. It's the issue of childless adults being stigmatized for taking enjoyment in watching children play. It's how you define 'supremacy'. There are several feminists who believe that, to make up for past offenses against women, their rights to bring them up to the level of socio-economic status as men does entail a certain type of supremacy in terms of controlling of sexual relations, higher pay in fields in which men are dominant, payment for childcare, etc.,

It's been my experience that school caters to female-oriented learning styles based on communication rather than technical ability, and there are several studies that show significant discrimination against boys by female teachers which could easily account for many of the graduation discrepancies. Because an aggressive man is a man who society hasn't tempered into not beating the shit out of you if you piss him off, whereas women do not have it drilled into their heads at birth that showing aggression can likely lead to dire consequences. There's also the vocal dynamics. Men have deeper, louder voices.

Unfortunately, we'd be up against a media which excels at perpetuating stereotypes to pander to their audiences, and the 'oafish guy' or 'asshole' archetype is ever present in the most consumed media--specifically T.V.--which has suburbanite women as their primary audiences, who eat it up. Best I can think of is a multi-faceted campaign directed at boys (and men). What I'd love to see is a fucking fatherhood campaign that wasn't telling men to "step up to the plate" or "get off your ass you lose…

I've seen it commented many, many times here and other places that masculinity needs to be 'redefined'. We have people pointing to Jersey Shore, bro-culture, thug culture, and boys shooting up schools, who then conjure up a 'crisis in masculinity', such as in the utter schlock that is Tough Guise. This corruption--aberration of the virtuous tenets that have forged, tempered, and refined society for centuries--is not masculinity, it is machismo. Machismo is the side effect of an at-times careless…

Well, that's how it's been used in my experience (both academically and on the internet, save some trolly places like here and SRS), funny how stuff like that works out. I believe we'd have to debate patriarchal theory at this point to get anywhere. This is likely where we have our differences. But yes, in pretty much... everything I've read, there is no female privilege, only benevolent sexism.
/r/MensRights14/03/12 04:20 AM
2

This is not how 'privilege' has been used academically in my experience, or even on the Internet. I have pretty much no qualms with what you said, here, for the most part. We'd likely be able to only debate nuances. Even if it does in some sense have a benefit, it's still discriminating on the basis of gender, so I'm opposed to it. Now, when is discrimination okay? A man, for whatever reason, could have a vested interest in appearing better to women in his mind.
/r/MensRights14/03/12 04:03 AM

Okay I do not like where this is going on my end because I may be strawmanning you in some way or arguing with a ghost or talking over you. Is there female privilege? that a person is advantaged or disadvantaged in every scenario Yeah considering that the popular line is that female privilege is 'benevolent sexism' and that the concept of privilege relies upon a vague hierarchy with masculinity always sitting at the top because of patriarchal gender norms, this is more or less a red herring. One can be privileged in some senses, while still suffering from a lack of privilege in others. I'm aware of what intersectionality is. It's also bunk, because it relies …

perhaps women that are assertive and direct might be perceived as bitchy due to cultural influences. Remember, it's based on a pseudo-Marxist paradigm, wherein women are the proletariat and men the bourgeious. Makes sense when all those who founded the foundations of feminism in the first place were upper-class de-facto nobles who saw the public goings-on and couldn't possibly reconcile the fact that their lavish lifestyle was based on the sweat and labour of the men and women who occupied the lower echelons of society.

I came here because of elevatorgate myself, because I wasn't aware that feminism was this fucking entrenched on the Internet. PZ Myers has just delved into complete lunacy, going from dismantling idiots on a regular basis to talking about the SHEER AUDACITY of a porn director asking a woman with two vaginas to star in a pornographic film. It's become apparent to me that atheists on the Internet, especially the more recently 'enlightened' ones, come from two camps, and it's mostly dependent on bo…

Hahaha, oh man. It's already hijacked. ""'Female privilege'", also known as benevolent prejudice, is a sociological term that refers to special rights or preference given to women in a society, that are denied to others. Its counterpart is "Male Privilege." 'Female privilege' is completely a byproduct of historical patriarchal views like gender essentialism which propagates oppositional and traditional sexist views on the roles all genders play.[1]" Good luck.

Not you, you didn't do anything of the sort, just frustrated in general at Reddit. But, yes. It was stating the obvious. The obvious, however, is seemingly not so obvious to a lot of people. I'm really not sure what you're trying to say with the rest of your comment. A single parent with 5 kids in the U.S. would absolutely be living in poverty, with the children, without child support. The custodial parent would have to make a substantial personal income (Like...$85K/yr, maybe) too make ends meet without it, if they had that many kids. If you want to advocate for a revamped social safety net so that men may "opt-out" of supporting their children, you won't hear any arguments from me…

Also, regarding Germany, could you also clarify? As I understand it, Germany has child support as well as a more robust social safety net than does the U.S.: My knowledge about Germany is likely incorrect or muddled about in some way. So does withholding child support magically unbreak the system? I agree that it is broken, but I do not think the ridiculous concept of "financial abortion" would do anything to fix it. It's fairly recent. Essentially, the German courts ruled that after your child is 3 years of age, unless you have a circumstance that prohibits you from working, you are not entitled to child support, as child care has been found to be in no way a full time job. Of course, this is in a SOCIALIST HELLHOLE like Germany. Not necessarily not a gender equality issue, however, when women are socialized to view every bit of male attention as sexual in the first place. I've had ADULT WOMEN message my fiancee on Facebook warning her that I was flirting with women all night at a party. The funny thing was that I knew pretty much everyone at the party as a friend one way or the other, and my method of 'flirting' was being friendly and.... GASP.... laughing with them.

You do not have an argument that would stand up against that. Except the mother has the ability to withhold these rights from the child. I once posed this question years ago, and got the same answer as you. Male politicians, apparently, advocate for men because men have no issues worth dealing with. Okay, I keep explaining this, and I guess I need to do so again. You are a feminist. A single, solitary feminist who ascribes to whatever views you do. You are unimportant. The most active and influential members of your group are not merely the 'loudest minority', but are rather the driving force of the entire movement. The difference is the whole 'looks like a real person' thing. To further elaborate, it's not merely the sexual need being fulfilled, rather it's the social need/need for companionship part of it, but is forgoing human intimacy in lieu of a fantasy where the 'person' is a non-acting agent. Really, though, to outright shame men who do this is simplistic. Their lives have clearly failed them in some way.
