Depends what’s the divorce going to cost you? If I had to pay life time alimony I’d suck it up.

Threaten to shut her phone off and car insurance. She’s still on mine on both. O

No in my state you don’t need to be. Just waiting for the next step

Longer you wait the more expensive it’s going to be. Kid alone is a deal killer. Move on

If you have 50/50 custody the kids maybe forced to go to your house depending on their ages. It happened to my ex her son was 15 at the time. They forced him to go to his dads

Every circumstance is different but my lawyer said to keep paying it till I’m told not to. Eventually she’ll have to get her own insurance

Shes entities to what is payed on the mortgage principle during the marriage not what the house is valued at now. Applies to an equitable distribution state. It’s a premarital asset. Community property state is different.

She avoided the server multiple time. Then she threatened to kill herself by taking some pills. Had to call the police it was a whole big mess. Does she know the papers are coming?

It was extremely hard for me as well. I did whatever I could to see mine more. Helps to have a good parenting relationship with ex. If you are on speaking terms just say if you have something to do on certain days I’d like to see the girls more. She might take you up on it.

She will eventually have to leave but her lawyer for whatever reason is telling her to stay. If I had to do it over again I would have left. Laundry detergent and tp is scarce now lol it’s down to that

Just keep telling yourself she doesn’t want you so why should you be wasting your life worrying about her

I made the mistake of giving her a second chance after the first assault on me.

To help with the fees try to agree on certain things with your ex. Don’t fight over trivial things. It will cost you more in the long run. Watch how much you contact your lawyer. Every email and phone call adds up quick. It’s also in your exes best interests to move it all as quick as possible. Unless they don’t care and have tons of money for a lawyer.

Trying to eat better. I think I’ll be a lot better once she moves out. Recently have a grand daughter so that’s been bringing me some joy.

That’s usually a major part of the process. Maybe if the divorce is uncontested.

The first time my wife assaulted me I didn’t call the police. She hit me a few time and threw some stuff at me. We had the conversation if she touched me again I would call the police. Few years later she physical stopped me from leaving the house and touched me again. I called and filed a report. The cop gave me a card for domestic violence victims. Being a man I was surprised to get a card.

Yeah no kids involved. Deed is in my name and a premarital asset. No major improvements made either. I can’t trust anything she says.

Do not marry again or live together. It’s time when it fells right. Be honest and upfront with anyone you date.

Have to look at financially also. Get an idea what your finances will be if you get a divorce. But If my wife cheated on me it’s a no brainer. I wouldn’t be able to even look at her

Took me over a year to finally pull the trigger. Even then I had my doubts I did the right thing. Then I had a bad guilt phase. Makes it alot easier when you get called names constantly. What you said about waiting for a sign I hoped for one too. So that would finally push me over the edge to file. The big sign never really came. I was tired of feeling blah.

First divorce it took me ten years to get back to where I was comfortable again. I had to go without I didn’t have a choice. I went back to school got another degree. Child support and alimony were tough but I made it through it. Honestly would I do it again I’m not sure. Hardest part was not seeing my kids everyday. I’d recommend to anyone with kids do whatever you can to save your marriage.

If you’ve made big improvements to the home during the marriage she’ll be entitled to half of those. Plus any money payed on the principal when you are married. Eventually she’ll have to move out it’s your home. As long as she’s not on the deed

Unless you can prove the mortgage has been paid almost like a rental property. I finally got out that way. The bank gave me another mortgage.

I bad the mistake signing a quit claim deed. My lawyer never told me I’d still be on the mortgage. So around 5 years after the divorce I tried to buy a house. It became a nightmare. I didn’t qualify to carry both mortgages. I had to jump through every hoop the bank through at me. My ex is crazy about her credit so that helped me. She never missed a payment or late. Because of my money of course. I had to prove my first house was covered by her paying the mortgage. I finally got approved. Luckily…

Stop contributing so much to your 401k in the future. If you file down the road that will help some. He’ll be entitled to half your 401k. If you make more you possibly will be paying alimony and child support.

Depends how it was settled in court. I have three so we agreed I would get 2 and her 1. I paid her 300k in cs over the years. But she always got 1.

Do you think your ex or the judge will care about your Christmas?
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 01:01 PM

Way too high to pay. Your difference in pay isn’t much. She can demand whatever she wants the judge will decide cs

You’ll have to sell the house and divide the profits unless either spouse has money to buy the other out. Other assets acquired during the marriage will be split also. Debt same thing. Premarital assets work differently but all states are different. Yep child support till 18 or 21 depending on state. Alimony shouldnt be too long but amount will depend on pay difference between spouses

It took me ten years to come back from it financially. I was broke for years just something I had to live with. The more I made the more she took. But in the end you’re supporting your kids.

That’s good she’s able to give you a schedule a month out. Nursing you can be mandated at some jobs. Being a new nurse she has no seniority. Think it’s important you be somewhat flexible. It’s much easier if you two can get along. I also have an autistic son. It complicates things but do able. Creates a more stressful environment but continue to work together to raise your son.

Get into counseling asap. He helps to talk to a professional. Stop looking at her stuff online. Nothing positive will come of it.

Quitclaim deed? Be careful with that one. I made that mistake

How do you think you can stop it? You said you were divorced. Ask a lawyer about support payments. If that’s the case congratulations are in order.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
