One of the most succinct, too. I also love getting the "I love you sooooo much" from the wife. Just remember to mentally add "right now".

This has given me a lot to think about. Explains many of my failures in a more succinct way, as well as giving a rationale that can be communicated to the wife. Thanks.

Meh. It's the internet. Surprised that nobody has argued the mathematics of triangles. What I have to say to them, though, is that I see why you have trouble passing shit tests or distinguishing them from comfort tests; you can't even be bothered to reflect on a straightforward post and get the point right. STFU my ass. They're DEERing every chance they get.

I send 10 percent of my income to /r/marriedredpill. Does that count? Seriously, I have friends and sometimes several of us get together, but not what you'd call community.

Relevant observation. Not many problems you need to solve. Sometimes jars are hard to open, though.

It's NOT about the triangle! Stop being spergs. SorcererKing's point is that the dumpster fire in askMRP can be quenched somewhat if people would simply ask themselves what it is they actually want. The triangle is just a menu of possible choices. Necessary in the OP, because without it, half of you would be asking, "but, SorcererKing, what type of relationship am I allowed to want. I haven't had sex in 4 years. What do now?"

Here's an observation. You complained about fairness in your OP. In your response to SK, you use the throwaway phrase, "fair points." Is it fair to say that your worldview is one in which your entire being is wrapped up in how you are being treated? Just kidding. That's not a real question. It is. It's why you lose your mind when you get cut off in traffic. Your wife chides you and you get angry, when instead you should be asking yourself why she thinks she needs to parent you. You need to stoic…

Thanks for pointing out the positives here. She DID SHAVE. Now she's shit testing to see if this ass-clown is worth the effort she went to. Also, I agree on the nudes. My wife shares those stupid apple accounts with our daughters. She is rightfully scared about fucking it up and sending them to our kids. She makes simple mistakes often enough that's is a real concern. Logistics only.

True story. If she knows that you expect it and sees you as having high value, but she doesn't feeeeel like fucking, then the appropriate response is, "what is wrong with me that I don't have sexual desire for my husband?" Mrs. Monkee experienced this and told her doctor's office that next month wasn't acceptable, she needed to be seen immediately. A woman experiencing dread will fix herself without being told to. OP, you are not at DL9, despite having made mouth sounds in the direction of your …

Here's something you can do right now: stop referring to yourself as a beta. This is all mental (even the lifting), so get your mindset right, even if you have to fake it 'til you make it. The joint/separate accounts, allowance etc. discussion is about tactics. A budget is about strategy. What you need is a mission and a vision for your family that your wife can buy into.

Valid points, especially that avoiding a conversation about sex is usually the correct course. This really got me thinking, though, because I've had this same thing come up. Next time, I think the response will be, "when did we have sex last?" If it's within the last 24 hours, then I'll answer, "yes," otherwise, "I guess not." Something like a pressure flip, without appearing to keep score and be butthurt. Still, I don't like the idea of overt communication. The way I see it playing out, it move…

Feminism is Marxist class bullshit. Individualism and, by extension, the family, are its natural enemies. Women, individually, want to have their cake and eat it, too. No surprise there.
/r/MarriedRedPill29/08/18 01:39 PM

I think collectivism applies only when advocating beyond the [extended] family unit, as that is, as you point out, an extension of the individual, both genetically and as an actualized member of society. Collectivism has to subordinate both the individual and the family to some higher ideal. Today, that ideal is the female imperative.

On the other hand, the concept of the Alpha Buddha is appealing. /s I think this is basically about a confusion over alpha behavior and masculine behavior. In a family or troop or tribe of primates, all the males are masculine, but only a few are alpha. This, of course, is in contrast to recent human history wherein the female imperative has conflated bullying with masculinity, sex with rape, and leadership with consensus.

I don't know your story, but it could be possible. IF she is truly submissive; IF she wants a 24/7 D/s lifestyle; IF she truly has a cuckquean fantasy. Then, yeah, I've seen it turn around. It happened for me, but Mrs. Monkee and I were never separated, she's never had strange (I know, I know... AWALT), and she harbors no cuckquean fantasy. This, OP. As someone else said, you are giving way too many fucks. Is your mission to be the little turd who is so insecure that he has to constantly argue with people and prove that he's right? Sounds like it. Couching your insecurity as a hobby is pouring weak sauce on it.

/r/askMRP18/08/18 01:08 AM

That's been my experience. One caveat, though, is that mommy-mode, especially when they are young, is mutually exclusive from sexual attraction. Being an awesome dad does wet panties, but merely relieving them of some child care responsibilities for a few minutes is no better than being a slightly older kid that she has to also manage. Too many husbands fail at being a dad and just become a junior mom that she has to also manage, looking to her for leadership.
/r/askMRP16/08/18 04:54 PM

Yep, was talking about spanking the wife. But you're right about the effect that disciplining the kids, or being in control in any situation, has on her desire.

This should be required reading for anyone before posting in /r/askMRP. Am looking forward to you staying active in MRP. Oh, I just said I'm worried about my energy levels. Added in that I'm having a hard time calibrating, since the week before my heart attack, I was thinking I needed to get my T checked. Turns out the low energy was the prelude to the 100% blockage in a major coronary artery.

Results from blood work is that T is about 525. I'm going to spend the next 90 days eating clean and lifting. Will re-evaluate. If it's still low, I won't be bashful about pulling the trigger on TRT. When I asked for the test, my doctor wanted to know what symptoms I had that made me think low T was an issue. The thing is, I don't understand why there has to be symptoms. False choice. I'm still loyal to my company if I have outside interests, if I don't spend all my time at work, or even if I moonlight, take side projects or have a side hustle. Others above have adequately explained the difference, particularly u/redpill-blacklotus.

That sounds more appropriate. Your OP did not read that way. You can't make her talk to you...to open up. Nor should you attempt to get her to, beyond simply being available. She needs you to not be emotional when she is. She's needs to know that you care about her trauma, not that you are going to fix it. You didn't do yourself any favors by ignoring her nudes and not making time for her a few days ago. She remembers that. But don't try to fix it and don't talk about it. Marriage is RP on hard …

Is her recount of events accurate and truly linked to her frustration, or are her emotions simply riled and she's externalizing them by blaming you? Who cares? It will change faster than the weather. Health: No, I don't even lift anymore; however, that's a temporary condition. After the heart attack, when I was cleared to exercise again, I ran a single 15 minute mile. For the past 6 weeks, I've been singulary focused on cardio. I have to be. It's necessary for building collateral blood vessels and for early detection that something is wrong. I had no indication I was having a heart attack until the pain of a 100% blockage hit me. So, I've worked up to an hour of cardio each time out. I've si…

First, there was none of that when I arrived at the ER. The ER staff and cardiac team were fantastic. What I'm referring to is during recovery. The first MRP lesson I applied was be attractive/don't be unattractive. This applies to more than just PUA. I decided that I would be compliant, pleasant and straightforward with the nursing staff. Note that by compliant, I simply mean that I would comply with requests that the staff made, so that they could do their jobs, not that I would be a pushover.…

Some men don't care anything about the car they drive. It's just a tool, a means to an end. Consequently, they treat it like shit. Your observation that some women feel the same about their husbands is so true. The hate is real. This excellent post covers something I haven't seen much of in MRP: the added value of subtracting some people (relationships) from your life. Often it is better to start by cutting the dead wood.

Agreed. Same way my truck's oil level becomes my problem.

I have 3 daughters and no sons. Would I have liked to have had a son? Sure. Was I disappointed? Not for a second. You need to figure out why you need a son? I get that you have things to teach him, to pass down to him, etc. But what is it about having a son that will fulfill a need? This is no different than asking what purpose alcohol or drugs or sex or validation are serving. You need to figure that out.

The vignette about the nap really resonated with me. I noticed a couple of decades ago that nothing makes a woman angrier than the sight of a man taking a nap. My wife hated for me to take a nap, despite waking a full two hours before her every weekday. I noticed that my dad and my fil were even encouraged to nap. Male lions nap in the sun while the females in the pride hunt. I thought I just got stuck with a bitch of a wife. Bad luck. MRP changed that completely. Not only that, it predicted it …

You took my question literally. That may be an indication of problems in implementing RP. What I meant was that you are in fact, not a babysitter for your own kids. You pay someone to babysit them. What you do is watch, play, nurture, instruct, discipline. In other words, parent. Do you dogsit your own dog? Housesit your own house? Some may argue that I'm being pedantic, but it is critical in the thought process. You're not the captain if you are thinking of yourself as the babysitter.

Financial: 2017 was a good year for the Monkees financially, but a there should have been a lot more money left over. I don't try to teach him, because a man should just know, right? I haven't let him ride with anyone else, so he's only had my good habits to observe. Of course, I don't talk about driving with him, because it's just more valuable to me if he just knows how to do it. But, fuck, he's never going to get his license at this rate. You're too…

Yes. It's why the first two things you can do, today, are lift and STFU. The former starts you on the path to being attractive, the latter prevents you (mostly) from doing the things that make you unattractive.

It's not enough to just be attractive. You also have to not be unattractive.

I think there is a lack of emphasis on internalizing the sidebar. STFU, not to be a mute, but to think. Think about what WAS or Stone or bogey or sepean would say if confronted with the same shit that your wife is spewing. Don't try to fix things at once. Don't try to fix things ever. It's like they want to bake a cake. The first ingredient is 4 eggs, so they start cracking eggs before they even go to the store to get the other ingredients.

So many varied opinions on this post. I think the issue is that the title is absolutely correct, but the content is less so. Yes, it is essential that a leader (alpha) have preferences and not be bashful about stating them. That doesn't mean that every preference must be expressed. As a man, you should have an opinion on many subjects: politics, current events, gender relations, cars, hobbies, etc. When asked your opinion, you should give it unabashedly (with nuance and in consideration for powe…

Definitely not a case of her enjoying it. Turns out it was truly a case of her not understanding the reason for the rule; therefore, she wasn't able to make the correct decision when faced with a unique situation. Ultimately, that is my fault.

Played around with orgasm denial a few years ago. Dont know about the T, but it definitely increases the horniness. The trick is that you need stimulation, but no ejaculation. You can't just go for a week without thinking about it (monk mode?) and expect the same results.

OP, to add a little to this, it's also the difference between reacting to a "no" by sulking in a corner with your iPad and a scowl on your face and doing something physical (workout or hobby, you need both in your life) with a smile on your face. The latter communicates wordlessly that she cannot manipulate you with sex.

Initiation was derailed at that point. Then came the verbal DEER-ah-rhea from her. I STFU and she eventually gets to "but I just wanted to shop." At least I've learned not to fight with her hamster. The Good: Thanksgiving week went off without a hitch. My FO makes this event the centerpiece of our annual family obligations; siblings can have the other holidays, but Mrs. Monkee is in charge of Thanksgiving. She does it big and she does it well. Despite the basic plan being the same, there were a few wrinkles: Some new boyfriends and girlfriends, the absence of a couple of family members because of illness, last minute travel changes and general family drama. I completely agree that a large part of a man owning his shit has to do with being prepared for the things life throws at him. There will always be areas where toy are less than optimally prepared, physically, mentally, adequate resources, correct tooling, etc. What separates us is how we attack a problem and whose frame the family is operating in. Prepping is essential, but there will always be things you didn't prepare for. That's where the RP teachings on frame have helped me so much.

So very solid. Confirmation of several truths here. Even when getting your dick sucked daily, it's possible to slip from "you are the prize" into she (or what she provides) is the prize. I'm assuming you've withdrawn attention. How has she responded?

True this. Mrs. Monkee had an epiphany several years ago. She decided that trading blow jobs for chores is much less effective than becoming a blow job queen and using them to train the husband. Sadly, I was too beta to take advantage of the situation. Fuck (former) me.

Nice intro. Just a couple of quick thoughts. You are confused as to what it means to be an oak and how you get there. You make yourself better by owning your shit. You become an oak by weathering her emotional storms. Read WOTSM for this. Also, you mention"connecting" with her, but what you are thinking of is being her emotional tampon. You don't need that kind of connection and she will lose respect for you if you try to achieve it.

So, you don't walk up to her and ask for her number. You just have a conversation. From that, you will discover if a number is even a possibility. If you have to hide the fact you are married, then you're not ready anyway. If you are ready, then it doesn't matter if she's your wife's best friend, if she's interested. This is what dread is. Solid advice in this thread, OP, especially right here. This topic (and with everything, as I'm coming to understand) is about frame. Bring a child into this world in your frame, not hers. You are doing this in her frame right now. It has to do with how you view children: are you making a new person with whom you can mutually add value to your lives or is it another anchor, keeping you from having your good times? It's red pill on extra hard. Worth it for me. YMMV.

Hardest lesson to learn. The pool boy swims in pussy. Not because he cleans pools, but because he owns who he is. My job is not alpha or beta. The things I do with my children are not alpha or beta. Either I own who I am and what I do or I don't. Fuck me if I don't.

This right here. Some are saying that if she lies about little things, she will lie about big things. Let's say she doesn't. Would you even want a woman who lies about little things? You won't believe anything she says. It will drive you nuts. Plus, if she is a liar, then it's not just you she is lying to. When you are in a relationship, that will reflect negatively on you. I believe the conventional wisdom is to demote to plate.

What you can do to change it is lead by example. And the curious ones who get a glimmer that you figured something out that might apply to their lives will seek you out. The Matrix. At the end, Neo didn't go around unplugging people. He didn't yell at them. He simply showed them what it looks like to be free.

A+ on the body language. A+ on the content and delivery and the wardrobe. Thank you for the work you put into this. I'm partially pissed off I didn't have this, but also glad that I had to put in the work myself. Like /u/screechhater said, "why don't you game their wives for them, too? " Huge takeaway for me was the concept of letting "future you" make the decisions. Just do the work now, so that he can have the options. That applies to so much in life. Her hamster spun the negative results of me removing my leadership as being my fault, rather than as the consequences of her actions. With leadership present, everything is my responsibility, directly or indirectly. If things go badly, she will shit test. Pass the test and she will hamster another reason things went wrong. If my leadership is removed, she will always blame me.

I have done this when I had no frame and it simply resulted in the expected outcome being hamstered as my fault. I'm wary of trying something like that again, but I can see how it could work.

Read everything in the top posts on frame. You have none. How do I know? You couldn't pass the "why are you at Hooters" shit test. Does she control where you eat and drink? You were man enough to tell her you were at Hooters, but couldn't AA and AM and fog your way past the shit storm that followed. She'll get a new partner? You should have had the dissolution papers ready to hand her.

I second this opinion. Get a second opinion, preferably from a specialist. Can you not lift because you are morbidly obese? The goal is to get fit. That means lose fat and gain muscle. That makes you more attractive. Beyond that, though, lifting heavy weight makes you feel better about yourself, gets you out of the house (or at least down to the garage), and increases testosterone.

It should go without saying that I heartily endorse this post. Your point is a great extension to many of the recent exhortations to the noobs to STFU, lift and sidebar, and to think twice before posting low quality content. It is the next chapter because of its focus on frame. I've been thinking a lot lately about this topic. The reason I've read the sidebar and have been working to internalize it is so I can live in my own frame, not someone else's. They gaslight themselves by hamstering that …

You ask what the empirical evidence is for the sidebar, specifically the 2:3 interaction ratio. Where is your evidence that game theory provides a better (practical) solution for how we should act? Good introduction. Welcome. You answered your own question, though. The veterans don't need to answer big picture questions, because the answer is STFU, lift and sidebar. The specific applications may benefit from veteran input, but even that is wasted on noobs who haven't read the sidebar and don't lift. The EC comments and field reports are gold. Saw this too. Two guys have the same N, same amount of sex with their wives, and same amount of DNGAF, but one has no game. The one with game could get laid in the first week; the second in 10 weeks. The flaw is that the one with no game has a score 10 times higher than the first.

Other commenters have covered your questions well, but I want to touch on your understanding of dread. (Not that there isn't a book on that in the sidebar. ) You game women (have conversations with women, stopping at your own moral boundary) in order to create an abundance mentality. That, in turn, allows you to have outcome independence when you are rejected for sex by your wife. The "negative events" of which you speak are most likely arguments, which always take two participants. WISNIFG will help take her advantage away. Then, you're left with just the nasty things she says to you. That's when you start to pay attention to what she does, not what she says. That doesn't sound like a failed comfort test to me. It was a shitty comfort test that you passed (based on the words you used, but tone and body language could have countered this). You fogged out of the shit test and reassured her of your presence in the relationship. I think that was spot on.

WISNIFG will give you your next steps after STFU. Keep at it, though. It takes time. She wants you to absolve her guilt over getting fat by taking the blame for not telling her she was fat. AA/AM that shit until she realizes how stupid it is.

Make sure you don't apply too much pressure to the front, so as to not damage the trachea. Best thing is that you can "innocently" touch her neck in public and give her the tingles.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think the difference is in the intent "to get her in the mood."

Sounds like a covert contract to me. I understand the need to game my wife. I also understand the need to give my wife a back rub from time to time, like after she spent all afternoon washing and detailing my truck. But back rubs as a prerequisite for sex? Never.
/r/askMRP02/06/17 01:18 PM

I stay motivated by casting everything as a rejection. She's not rubbing my crotch in the restaurant and suggesting a quickie in the restroom? Bet she would for Chad. Motivates me to game her and to pass on dessert. Mrs. Monkee used to put up that kind of defense, too. The more I improve, the more readily she is DTF. Keep working on yourself. Don't get butthurt. Even the shy ones come around.

That, coupled with the me thinking I can "fix" behaviors and thought patterns in her that I fixed in myself. Never works. Lead and teach is all you can do. Still, we would suck as parents if we didn't try to keep them from making the same mistakes we made, yet the most growth comes from making the mistakes.

Good point. I don't go out of my way to seek validation (at least that I am aware of). But I like it. Too much. I should be the judge of my own work, inasmuch as I am competent to do so. This needs a more stoic mindset. My thoughts and actions should not be governed by what others do or do not say about my work.

In my OYS last week, /u/Persaeus and /u/Aechzen helped me get my head around a couple of things. First, I needed to get working on a true mission, of the type Deida talks about in the first chapter of The Way of the Superior Man. There is a specific technical skill for which I have become recognized in my company. While I am not under the impression that I am all that great, it is a niche skill which many don't possess, and I am pretty far ahead of others who do my type of work. My mission is to…

This is not chilling, though. This is you being her chauffeur. This is chore-play. Stop it. Chad doesn't drive girls around; he gets them to do his shopping for him.

So much good advice here. I'll only add that I think you are overestimating your contributions and minimizing hers. Take a sheet of paper and list the value you each add to the project. Seems like she does have some skills and does add value. What are you adding besides a credit score? This isn't about boundaries, it is about leadership.

Be careful. They can still see (and track and report on) each url. You'll have RP next to your name. Might not matter where you work, but if an SJW decides to make it an issue, it could be troubled for you.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. A good wife (or a bad one) will do that, and so much more, for ANY man who gives her tingles.

There are so, so many more options than just A, B and C. You're realizing the binary option of unplug or not. After you improve yourself and are your own man, you're flying and freezing bullets in mid-air. Get to the place where you aren't choosing between the options you are given, but simply deciding what it is you want, choosing your own path from a limitless set.

I spend an hour a day on lifting or other fitness, another on taking care of house or cars, another on being an awesome dad. Then there's work. I think this is about me defining my mission, so that those things that I am faced with can be categorized as either contributing to my mission or time sucks. As far as the shit tests go, she doesn't do it disrespectfully, nor in front of the kids. She simply points out to me afterwards that "all" of my interactions with youngest daughter are confrontati…

I, for one, sincerely appreciate it. At 50+ years old and 28 years into the marriage, the requisite 28 months of improvement seems like an eternity. But it gave me a long enough horizon that I could STFU, sidebar and lift for several months without the temptation to go Rambo. And I like my life and my wife, so I don't want to burn it all down, just surgically remove some weaknesses.

First OYS, so some context: early 50s, married 28 years, 3 kids (youngest teen girl still at home). Stuck around MRP because it offers the most coherent set of steps for enabling ME to improve ME in a way that is consistent with my world view. Lifting, diet, frame, sex, family leadership, career all strong. Finances could be better. Handling my shit at home. Reading Way of the Superior Male. Can't get past first chapter, because I don't know what I could spend an hour on every day w.r.t. my miss…

Agreed. And when she attempts psychoanalysis to feed her narrative, based on an interpretation of your attitude or body language or OP's 1000 mile stare, your frame better be rock solid. In my experience, emoting to her (especially the "Ima gonna miss youze") is the worst response. AM is the better choice. Once in a while, though, it's possible to deliver a killer response with John Wayne level emotion that conveys that your thoughts sometimes reflect the seriousness with which you take your rol…

I came here circuitously for the same reason: wife wanted me to lead, wanted to submit to me. After years of beta behavior and an egalitarian marriage, I spent 5 months trying to figure out how to do that. I knew how to handle the sex, but the rest of it was a mystery. Turns out RP was the answer. Three months after passing shit tests and lifting, I start getting unsolicited blow jobs and a "confession" that she wants to be trained for anal. Frame was the answer.

OYS stands for Own Your Shit and is one of the ways RP makes men better. It is a natural extension of the game principle of not being unattractive. See the weekly sticky thread at the top of /r/marriedredpill.

So true. The hard work, the extra hours, the sacrifices and the difficult choices are easy for me to embrace, because I have internalized my vision. You're right, it's my job to project that vision to my family so that they are rowing WITH me. The value add from your post is that it has to be done with feelz.

Ideals, nostalgia and emotions. All missing from the vision I've established with my first mate. Probably feels like drudgery to her. Something to work on this weekend. Thanks for the valuable post.

It's pattern recognition. Subconscious, more accurate than smell (but a great metaphor). Actions speak louder than words; inconsistency screams.

Perhaps she is saying, "please don't go back to being the man-child you were." More like she would be unhappy, knowing what life is like now.

Good summary of why acta non verba and OYS are foundational elements. You are either her oak or a sapling she has to nurture. Only room for one captain on the ship. I get frustrated reading about how someone is alpha at work, but beta at home. I get that there is room for nuance in there, but the more I have internalized RP, the more I view it as binary. You are either a man worth following or you are not. Your choice.

Lots of us started out as fatasses. But fatasses who can't be bothered to read posting guidelines (or the FAQ, or practically any post about weight and fitness, or the sidebar) really are intolerable.

That's Feminism 2.0, not RP. The praxeology only describes what a man looks like and how he behaves. His family, income, career, hobbies, friends, interests, religion, politics, and philosophies are his own. He is his own judge. Not sure how you came to your conclusion.

OP, u/sexyshoulderdevil/ has given you some great advice. More than this victim puke deserves. As you re-read it, notice how often things happen TO you. You need to start Owning Your Shit and accepting that everything in your life flows from your actions. Stop emoting to your wife. STFU. Acta non verba. Learn and practice stoicism next. You are deep in her frame, even after your epic two week RP journey. You need at least one month for every time you've threatened to divorce her or send her back…

The answer is the same as for guys whose wives won't even have vanilla sex with them. It's not that she isn't kinky, she just isn't kinky WITH YOU. She's kinky in her imagination, but she won't be kinky in bed with just anyone. Lift, sidebar, pass shit tests and you can become that person. The other comments on here (dread, porn, leading her into it) can be implemented AFTER you have improved yourself. Edit: fixed autocorrect

You say, "Thank you" and smile. If you think she's being sarcastic, you say, "Thank you" and smile. If you think there is a manipulative subtext behind the compliment, you say, "Thank you" and smile. These are just words. Acknowledge them and don't think about them. What are her actions? If she gives you an unsolicited bj and swallows, you say, "Good girl, what do you say? " Then she says, "Thank you" and YOU smile.

This wasn't dread working. Dread has no effect until you maintain your frame and are not in hers. This was a shitty comfort test that you failed, then it became a shit test. STFU and go run (better yet, lift). What would you do if your teenager told you to "not come back" when you said you were going for a run? If the answer is anything other than laughter, you're doing this wrong.

Actually, saying "I shouldn't have..." is going too far according to WISNIFG. FFS, he didn't hit her, he just sent some words words to her phone. The farthest I'd go is, "I wish I hadn't lost my temper," but it would be best to ignore it completely. When she demands an apology and you don't give it to her, she's doing the feelz work in tonight's DEVI for you.
