When I started looking at the demographics of the users. Most of them are 18-22, had some girl break their heart, socially awkward, and go on /b. Filled with people with a spiteful agenda. I think some of it is correct but the advice needs a filter and impressionable people who are looking for help don't question the material.

Sometimes you just have to let him learn his own lesson. If his strategy works and he's happy so be it, and if you don't like it he is probably not your friend. If it fails horribly tell him to try a different approach and life will go on. People make their own decisions for better or worse. Better he fails and learns than trying to dictate his life and piss each other off.

A two month old is easy, they eat and sleep, when that kid is a year old and able to walk is when its not as easy. Not saying impossible or hard by any means but the amount of work you can get done is definitely diminished.
