I've been reading Mark Manson's new book and I'd highly recommend it. One of the big take always is changing how you measure success for yourself. So if you're going into the date or talking with her, check your intentions and why you're feeling overly invested. Is it cause you think success with her is going only if you do x, y and z which are probably all things you don't have control over the results? Reframe them then. Maybe you should measure your success by your ability to be your best sel…

I guess I could tell you my experience (or continued experience with drugs and pickup). I love MDMA. Makes me feel like I can talk to anyone about anything, and I just need to share everything. Talking to girls was way easier for me, not that I did any better but at least I approached. The problem was that I found it's very difficult to get myself to approach at all unless I'm high. I just make excuses when I go out about how this is just going to get me better until I'm where I wanna be with pi…

Christ. What a crazy reality to live in. Nearly every guy wants something from her. Except you. Good call.

So, what advice would you give a guy that can't seem to do that first approach. Most frustrating thing in the world.

Yeah man. Don't focus on the sex. You gotta get yourself in order. I think making some friends could really help in the long run. Hang out with the people you don't see as often as you should. Start inviting them out to things with you. Find some hobbies or do things where you'll be forced to meet new people regularly.

Yeah they are. Especially good friends. But having positive male figures in your life is important for a man. Women and men are different. They provide different things in friendships. For instance, my really good male friends are relatable to different needs than my really good female. Great friends will encourage you to be vulnerable about yourself. This is a great skill to have, in everything including sex.

Well I guess I'd maybe tackle the relationship with women thing first. Seems like you're seeing relationships with women through the lense of your past 4 years of experience (and guessing 10+ years of inexperience, doesn't help either). Maybe start working on making more women friends. Just as friends. Actually, I'd say you should try and focus on getting more friends in general. You don't mention it, but you don't mention any good guy friends. i know if you were one of my friends, and seeing th…

Something I struggle with as well. People see me as being fairly outgoing, but usually I'm freaking out on the inside. Particularly pronounced in situations that I'm less confident. Personally I've been trying to read up more about ways of treating it. Really it's just a misinterpretation of external input I think. Cause I've got a friend that sees the world completely different and sees things that I am totally not seeing. I think that's largely because of how he interprets reality to his favor…

Meditation. Been practicing it 20 min a day for about a year and a half. Look at reading the book 10% Happier for a good explanation about how it can really benefit you as a whole. For this though, it really makes it easier for you to just be more observing of you having these thoughts and being able to just focus on the moment and not let your thoughts steam roll you. You still have to deal with these thoughts, but you build the tools to handle them better.

Why go for religious girls? It's unavoidable friction between you two. Getting her to go against her values isn't that ethical thing either IMO. How would you feel if you were in her shoes? There are plenty of beautiful non-religious girls to sleep with.

Here's the thing. You don't know those things for sure. If the possibilities are she got back together with her boyfriend, or whatever else.. doesn't really matter does it? In a way you have a choice on which reality is the one you want to believe in. I'd opt for the one that hurts your ego less. In general, assume positive the most positive reality of things. Assume she has positive intent and is not gaming you. Your letting a girl, who've you really only just met, have power over how you feel.…

What benefit does that framing do over assuming? Assuming She is attracted: You'll be escalating confidently and she'll be receptive to it. She isn't attracted: She'll shut you down, you'll know where you stand. Saves time and energy for both parties. Maybe she's attracted She is attracted: You can escalate, but perhaps not as confidently because you'll be looking for cues of her attraction to validate your moves. She isn't attracted: Chance of coming off a bit creepy because you'll likely not b…

You're either attracted to the girl or you're not. It's either a 1 or a 0. That's how you should view it. Then you can practice talking to girls you like, rather than a certain scale range.

Do this to everyone that has a character quality that is desirable. Along with that, study historic figures as well. A lot of Carnegie's book is examples from the lives of important people. Apply this learning attitude to everything.

Who in 2014 is honestly on a limited texting plan? If you don't like texting, then don't text. If she loses attraction in you because you don't reply to everything.. Probably wouldn't have gone that well anyways. Just use it to setup dates.

Yeah, I couldn't get into coke. I thought the high was pretty similar to Mdma, except that on M I actually give a shit about other people. Coke, I had 0 empathy for people and was left feeling I just wanted a little more within 10 minutes. Also the people I was with wouldn't shut the fuck up about their stupid nonsense. Mdma I could listen to someone talk about whatever they want and think it's the most interesting thing in the world.

I really like drugs. I think they have so much potential to help you grow as a person and make positive changes if done responsibly. That said, you should definitely get your sober game as the number one priority. If you can get good at that, drugs will only push you a little further. However, they can become a crutch. I've used a lot of MDMA for example. Helped me out for sure. But I've also succumbed to that little thought you get with anything (alcohol for instance): "I'll just pop a cap toni…

I second this. But it's super easy to view it as a cheat (I've fallen into that for sure). Best it really treat it like "This is the kind of person I could potentially be uninhibited." For example I get super touchy on M, so the lesson I learn on the roll is that I definitely overthink kino when I'm sober. Definitely recommend M for its therapeutic uses.

I believe MDMA to be a very powerful tool. Since I've been using, it's definitely helped me in a number ways. That said, it can most definitely turn into a crutch (has a little for me). My advice is to go into a MDMA trip like a lesson. You're there in the moment to experience (in my opinion) your best self. If you go into the trip and be very mindful of your state and how it affects your outcomes. After your trip, use the lessons you learned and apply it to your sober game. It's really about ge…

Just don't look away. That's all. Practice makes perfect. I've started working on it, and it surprising how much of a mini-thrill you can get. Especially when the other person looks away.

Yeah, this is something that I learned recently about myself. Was so focused on trying to just get in the sack with someone. Eventually did a couple times, but honestly... didn't really make me feel much better about myself. Each time I had sex with someone I didn't really have much attraction to (outside of physical attraction) was mostly about me. I care that girls get pleasure when I have sex, but there's a huge difference when it's with someone I REALLY care about. So while I appreciate that…

Let me ask something about your attitude... Is this how a Alpha would be looking at it? Cause I don't think so. I think an Alpha wouldn't give two shits if woman think he's ugly. Easier said than done, but you know... It's all about mindset. Work on getting out of your current mindset instead. Not healthy the way you think of yourself.

That thread you linked? Yeah.. Read that top comment there again. It's solid advice. Cut out this whole "I'm ugly and will never attract woman" attitude. You're relying too much on thinking that you need a girl in order to feel good about yourself. Focus on just feeling good about yourself. REGARDLESS of if you have a lady or not. Once you get there... Then having a girl in your life will amplify how awesome you feel about yourself.

Don't need to be a good dancer. Just be confident in yourself and your totally rad moves aha. Seriously, I'm probably a pretty terrible dancer but haven't ever had a lady complain. Just go with the rhythm that she's in (when griding more specifically) once you've got that figured out... take the lead. Set your own flow to the dance.

I've got a best friend who is also a bartender. We went out one night with some other friends. Had fun, came back. He hooks up with a friend and wakes up with massive hickey on his neck. Goes into work... Every waitress and bartender felt the need to point it out to all the customers lol. I've never seen such a "alpha" guy turn into such a defensive wimp that fast haha.

I see your point and for the most part agree with it. But then I look at myself... Back in April I would consider myself to be a "nice guy" definitely more AFC than I am now. I've definitely gotten to be far more of a cocky-funny type guy. I'm not self absorbed (at least I hope not) but I definitely feel more confident about myself and find that it can attract more people to me. I still lean to the gentlemanly side of my personality more often than not. So I personally am not so quick to say coc…

Great post! Personally, I think I'm probably permanently stuck in the FZ. Was a LDR mainly, then she lost interest. I stopped the constant communication for a good month after she FZ'd me. She noticed and half called me out on it. Then I did the stupid thing of visiting her on her birthday thinking I was ready for just friends. Totally not. Basically screwed myself and she's pissed at me. I'd like to make things better, but I dunno what her deal is. So now I've gotta try moving on I guess. Damn …
