How on earth does it have anything to do with "virtue" to point out that humans often make irrational decisions based on their emotions? That's just objective reality. You seriously don't believe people make dumb decisions based on their emotions and not logic, to the point that you think any story about someone doing it must be a lie? That's just flat out bizarre. Like it's seriously blowing my mind that someone actually exists who thinks a person saying "sometimes people do illogical stuff bec…

It's really intellectually dishonest to to just reject anything that doesn't fit into your weird worldview as a lie. I have no idea what she loved about him. Love often isn't rational, people fall in love and it's all about their emotions, not some rational calculation. That's just how human emotions work. And the thing about childhood abuse victims being attracted to abuse is literally common knowledge, look up the cycle of abuse.

I mean there's no point discussing anything if you're just going to randomly accuse me of lying about something that is completely true. I had live for years with her continually going back to this terrible abuser because she was in obsessive love with him despite him being objectively terrible in every way.

She was a waitress. Obviously she was attracted to him, she actually viewed him as the love of her life. She was basically obsessed with him. That definitely is how abuse works. People with mental problems and and usually an abusive childhood find that behavior attractive because they think it's what they deserve and they've been taught by their parents that's what love is.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/20 04:25 AM

Haha no, the closest this guy had to a job was selling his own blood for cash. She had mental problems and an abusive childhood and thought an abusive terrible guy was all she deserved. That’s how abuse actually works, no one stays with an abuser for looks or money because if they weren’t drawn to abuse they could simply find a non-abusive guy who is good looking or has a regular job.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/20 03:29 AM

Definitely not true, the abuser my friend ended up marrying was morbidly obese.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/20 03:18 AM
2

My friend wasn’t shallow, her abusive childhood had taught her that being treated abusively was all she deserved. Why would being attracted to abusive men be “shallow” anyways, that doesn’t even make sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/20 02:31 AM

The only women I’ve ever known who liked guys like that were women with serious mental problems. Like I had a friend who liked those types of guys, but she also had a severe mental illness and had been committed to a metal hospital at one point and suffered an abusive childhood. Saying most women prefer confident men doesn’t mean that ALL a guy needs is confidence to be attractive. Most guys prefer women with feminine, pleasant personalities, that doesn’t mean they’ll want to date a fat and ugly…

Yeah but people who aren't white can still be racist against other races. Like a black person could be racist against Mexicans and vote for Trump for that reason, or an Asian person could be racist against middle eastern people and vote for Biden because they love how he's a big warmonger who supported the Iraq war and will probably start more middle eastern wars.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/20 02:27 AM
1

You said “women as a species.” Women aren’t a species. There are tons and tons of racist people out there. Biden is actually super racist too, the only way to get into a situation where the only two options for president are racist is if the majority of people are racist.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/20 08:30 PM
1

You...think women are a separate species? Tons of women are racist, I mean like half of white women voted for Trump so it’s not surprising a guy with a racist tattoo could find plenty of racist women who agree with him.

Being violent and confrontational to try to bully women into dating you definitely seems desperate to me. Secure people don’t act like that. Only people with severe mental problems would prefer a crazy, violent man over a meek one. Though I think most people prefer regular confidence, it’s not like the only options are meek or crazy.

That’s true but if someone doesn’t have a record it’s not like you can know they’re a criminal unless you’re psychic. Sociopaths tend to be really charming and good at tricking people.

That Tinder thing was fake. The guy put in his profile that he stole a piece of candy as a kid and then changed it to the pedo stuff AFTER he got all the responses. That’s why so many of the women were joking with him about stealing candy and why zero of the conversations had any mention on either end about child molestation.

Wait so you have two FWBs and sleep with a new random girl every 2 weeks and don’t consider yourself a womanizer? To me that sounds like the high end of promiscuity.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/20 02:05 PM

They’re saying the majority of married men aren’t sociopaths therefore obviously the majority of women don’t like sociopaths since most women marry non-sociopaths.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/20 01:56 PM

Wouldn’t being pushy and aggressive make him seem desperate? How is that attractive? A guy who was genuinely confident and had high self esteem wouldn’t try to bully people into dating him and have a meltdown if they rejected him or broke up with him. You’re basically saying women like insecure guys with low self esteem because only those guys flip out and go nuts because of being rejected by some woman they barely know.

Doesn't everyone feel like this? Like of course a hot 21 year old guy is always more appealing than some old man. And I don't watch live action porn, because gross, but obviously the guys in the yaoi I look at are way more attractive than any guy in real life. I don't think about having sex with the vast majority of men because the vast majority are ugly, but I definitely think about it every time I see an attractive guy. I know men are less picky and find almost every woman attractive so I just…

How exactly does some women being pressured into things mean all women in general are weak and have no agency? That makes zero sense. It seems like this is the standard sociopath argument though, like any time a man victimizes a woman, for some reason illogical sociopaths have to come out and say "oh so if it's the man's fault for victimizing her and not her own fault for being victimized, that must mean all women are dumb and have no agency and shouldn't have rights!" I'm not sure if the people…

Obviously not all women do this. But the ones who keep having casual sex despite not getting much or any physical pleasure are generally people not strong enough to stand up for themselves and say no, lots of women do get pressured into sex they don’t want.

I’ve seen like a million posts on Reddit by women talking about how their male partner never gives them an orgasm, never goes down on her or does any foreplay, never even attempts to make her enjoy it but just basically sticks it in and uses her body to get off, often even does stuff that is painful or degrading that she doesn’t enjoy at all, but they still stay with the guy and keep sleeping with him. It doesn’t seem like that’s very uncommon at all.

Kind of like how a lot of people will use “simp” against any guy who is nice to a woman for any reason, or who agrees with a woman’s opinion in an online argument.

That’s a pretty low age to draw the line, the human brain doesn’t finish developing until around age 25. Even the body doesn’t finish developing until around age 20, 18 year olds are still adolescents. It’s actually kind of weird that society even considers adolescent teens to be adults, they’re not mentally or physically adults from a scientific perspective.

The person you responded to was using what's called the "general you" in English. They didn't mean you specifically. You said to look at men's actions. That person responded that what they've observed is men taking the action of dating and marrying women they met in their post-grad programs. They were saying men's actions don't show what you claim, that men's actions don't show men avoiding educated women with careers. They weren't asking about your personal experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/20 04:14 AM
1

Well statistically men mostly marry within their own economic class and education level, so actually their actions show they want someone of their own economic class and education level.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/20 04:10 AM
1

Yeah but that's because women make less than men overall, so it would be statistically impossible for a large proportion of men to be marrying someone who makes more money than them. Even if a guy marries a girl with a really similar career she'll probably make less. But most people are married to others with a fairly similar income level with the man making just slightly more.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/20 04:06 AM
2

It's pretty rare either way. People almost always marry someone within their own economic class. When I was getting my degree in economics, we actually learned in one of my classes that people marrying outside their own economic class is more rare than any other marital difference—like, people are more likely to marry someone of a different race or religion than they are to marry someone of a different economic class.

I'm completely positive I exist though. I could be in a simulation and you all are the ones who don't exist, no way to tell for sure, but the one thing I can be sure of is that I definitely exist. So, if anything, there's no proof there's any such thing as women who like dominant guys. I only have proof of me existing, so all I can know for sure is that females who like submissive males exist.

That sucks! I sympathize with you. I couldn't do what you're doing but I understand it. I'm autistic and pretty staunchly refuse to change anything about myself regardless of how socially unacceptable it's considered because it would make me miserable to conform to neurotypical society, I just couldn't spend 95% of my life doing stuff I hate. That studies prove unmarried women live longer, which means married women die sooner, so clearly it's the men sucking the life out of women. Statistics also show married men live longer than unmarried men. It's literally just a fact that being with a woman makes a man live longer, while being with a man makes a woman die sooner. So it's pretty obvious to see who is sucking the life out of whom.

Why on earth didn't you just choose a dominant, possibly older woman? I'm dominant and I love younger submissive guys who don't do any of the masculine stuff you listed that you hate doing. Sure you may not love being a submissive sexually but just doing that for a dominant girl is way less work than spending 95% of your waking hours doing stuff you hate.

In the US 60% of women and 70% of men are overweight, so yeah in the US the average person is overweight.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/20 02:56 AM
20

Statistically 70% of men and 60% of women in the US are overweight. So the way the math works out it's way more likely for a fat guy to be able to get a fit girl than the other way around. Plus men care about looks more in general so you're just going to find more thin girls willing to date a fat guy that the other way around. So I don't think it's very hard for a healthy weight guy to find a healthy weight girl to date.

Rap groups aren't "boy bands." And guys in boy bands are marketable because they're attractive. So if I said "I don't use an umbrella unless it's raining" you'd believe I said I don't ever use an umbrella? If you seriously believe that sentence says that I don't ever use umbrellas, it really seems like you're the one struggling with logic and critical thinking. Again I never said I don't care about height at all, I said I don't care about it unless a guy is shorter than me. Do you like, not unde…

What boy bands have ugly or obese members? I’ve certainly never seen one, they’re all attractive. The guys who get popular and have screaming fangirls are physically attractive guys, they’re literally chosen for being attractive. It seems like you have some kind of reading comprehension issue, honestly. Like...the sentence clearly says I don’t care about height as long as the guy is taller than me. Which clearly means if he’s shorter than me then I do care. It’s like an if - then statement. IF h…

Those guys don’t get that status for being unattractive, the only way they’re able to attain the status in the first place is because they’re physically attractive to women. You’re never going to see an obese boy band member. Seems like you should read that sentence again...I said I don’t care about height as long as the guy is taller than me. I didn’t say I didn’t care about height at all. I said if the guy is taller than me don’t care about it. Which logically means if he’s shorter than me I d…

no one likes how Asian men look Yeah that’s why kpop guys have millions of screaming fangirls... In my opinion, on average East Asian guys are far more attractive than guys of other races. I hope it doesn’t come off as racist to say that, like obviously they don’t all look the same, but just on average they tend to have more attractive features. I don’t know, I have a medical disorder where I can’t have any kind of penetrative sex and I’ve never had a guy stop wanting to see me after hooking up except once when he gave me oral and left and then wasn’t interested in hooking up again. But I have a general rule that I don’t reciprocate oral unless it turns into a consistent FWB thing. I definitely wouldn't call sex without an orgasm fun at all. In fact getting turned out without coming is extremely physically uncomfortable, I'd even call it painful. It's the complete opposite of "fun." So I absolutely won't have sex with a guy unless I'm extremely confident he's going to give me an orgasm. Just masturbating and making myself come would be infinitely better than having sex with a guy and not coming at all. So that's why a lot of women are picky about who they have sex with. A …

It seems like you're really misinterpreting what I said. I didn't say girls don't like nice guys, I said girls don't like guys if the ONLY notable thing about them is that they're nice. The very next sentence you quoted even specifically said that it's not that girls don't like nice guys, it's that they don't like them if their best or only positive quality is being nice, so I'm not sure why you argued with that by saying you disagree because you like a guy who is nice. And when girls call guys …

Well like people always say, "nice" is baseline, it's like the basic minimum of human decency everyone expects. Most people are nice. That's why when girls call guys "nice" it usually means they're not into them—not that they don't like guys who are nice, but if a guy's best/only positive quality is that he's nice then his personality is actually really boring. So if the best this guy had to say about you is that you're sweet and nice, sounds like he thought your personality was just boring, tha…

Yeah I don't get why this is supposed to work. If a guy started teasing me about a quality I don't have, like if he was saying I'm messy when I'm clearly not, I'd just think he was dumb and unobservant. And if he makes fun of a bad quality I actually do have that could easily feel like an actual insult, which obviously isn't attractive. If a guy I barely even know is insulting me I'd consider that a big red flag.

Yeah but the only reason men age worse is because it's not considered socially normal for men to take care of their skin so most don't. If you're really worried, just make sure to take really good care of your skin and you too can age well.

That's just the study showing that there's not much difference in fertility between women in their late 20s and early 30s. You need to look further down the page for the studies about teen fertility. It says the average age of first menarch is 13, and about 80% are anovulatory (not releasing an egg during most cycles) during the first year, 50% after the third year, and 10% after the 6th year- fertility rises as they approach their 20s.

Human female fertility peaks in the early to mid 20s, not the teens. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_and_female_fertility And it's a myth that it was ever common for people to get married to 12 year olds. Only the elite and royalty did that- the same people who married their cousins and siblings, which was also thought of as weird and gross by the masses. The thing is the human female body isn't really made to carry pregnancies during the teen years, there's…

You won't get paid, because women can always get "Chads" to rail them for free- I mean come on, are you serious? There's a reason why straight male prostitutes aren't really a thing- there's no market for them, since any woman can get that for free.

Just out of sheer curiosity, what is the point of responding like this? Like, is it just that you don't want to learn actual facts about what autism is or means? Like you're just opposed on principle to actually knowing what you're talking about when you ask if someone is on the spectrum? Or some other reason that I can't fathom? The humans are weird.

This is a terrible question. I'm autistic and I'm so tired of the fact that when someone does something objectively awful, people are all "Well maybe that person is autistic." We just don't understand social rules that are pointless, like asking someone how they are when you don't actually want to know. We're not more inclined to be racist. It's not actually a "fact" that white workers are better than Mexican workers- if this guy were actually autistic, he'd know the difference between a fact an…

I did my college cluster in Queer Theory and also have a minor in sociology, pretty sure I know more about it than you from spending a day reading stuff on the internet. But I guess it's easy to just claim someone hasn't done any critical thinking when you're not educated enough on the subject to actually debate it. Is your usual debate tactic to just resort to ad hominem attacks by falsely claiming someone hasn't done any critical thinking and got their opinion off of a blog?

That's...not how social constructs work. Like, at all. Just because society pressures people to do something, that doesn't mean 100% of people will conform. The fact that all people don't conform doesn't disprove the existence of social constructs. If gender weren't a social construct, if it were biological instread, wouldn't trans people not even exist at all? Like why would someone biologically male feel and act female? It's much easier to defy a social construct than it is to defy biology. Th…

In Queer Theory it's believed that biological sex is also a social construct. The reason is more complex than I'm willing to explain in a Reddit comment, but you can Google it. But regardless, I still don't get what you're trying to say with your conclusion. Like...are you claiming that a trans woman, who was assigned male at birth, is actually biologically female, but society pressures her to go against that? And therefore gender isn't socially constructed because the gender of the trans person…

I legitimately have no idea what you're trying to say. Since gender is a social construct, you can identify with any gender you want, and don't necessarily have to identify with the one you were assigned at birth. Trans people are just people who identify with a gender that's different from the one society assigned them at birth.

If you actually read my original comment, I specifically said it was about the verbal section. The whole point is that when females do better on a section, they assume bias and change it until they don't- but if males are doing better on a section they don't consider that there might be bias. Just like you're assuming that if females are doing well with math grades, it's bias against males- but if males are doing better on math parts of a standardized test, you think that can't be bias. You real…

That's not even remotely true. For people who follow Queer Theory, of the type you'd learn in a college, the whole idea is that all genders are socially constructed, therefore someone who is afab (assigned female at birth) identifying as a man is just as valid as that person identifying as a woman, which is just as valid as them identifying as agender, or demigender, or anything else because it's all equally made up.

Pretty sure I call it pseudo science because literally everything is a pseudo science besides stuff like chemistry and physics. And being able to make up hypotheses that are falsifiable doesn't mean it's not a pseudo science. I could invent a religion right now where I worship a god who likes a particular shade of green, and then estimate that at least 60% of the grass in the world will be that shade of green if my god exists, and then go out and test to see if that's true, and then claim my god…

But the question was why evolutionary psychology was singled out among the pseudo-sciences. It's singled out because it's the only pseudo-science where there are literally no existant things that can be studied or quantified- it's all random guesses about the past based on nothing more than modern stereotypes. And yeah, in the present, there are differences between men and women...but those differences have shifted a ton over time and across cultures. So are the differences genetic, or are males…

Because all the other psuedo-sciences are at least based on things that exist currently and can be studied and quantified. The reason is because when someone says women are less rational than men, it's clear that the MOTIVATION for saying that comes from misogyny. Because there's certainly no scientific evidence for it- in fact, there's plenty of scientific evidence showing women are just as intelligent and rational as men, on average. It's like if you said "black people tend to have darker skin than white people" and tried to compare that to saying "black people are dumber than white people." You can see how the fi…

Saying men don't fight for custody because their attorneys tell them not to is just conjecture, do you have any actual studies proving that? The thing is that no one who makes 8 apples a month is marrying someone who makes 2 apples a month. Statistically, virtually everyone marries someone within their own economic class. Economic class is the biggest predictor of who you'll marry, even more than race. Marriages between someone who makes 80k a year and someone who makes 20k a year are extremely,…

You should look up the actual statistics. The 60% figure IS for primary custody. It's true that in the majority of divorces, parents just agree on joint custody without ever fighting it out in court. If the mothers have primary residential custody, it's because that's what the parents mutually agreed upon, without having to go to court and have a verdict declaring that. It's only a minority of divorces where the parents actually go to court and fight it out for sole custody. But in the cases whe…

I think the problem is that women are socialized to squeal and giggle and pretend to be scared of anything adventurous- men aren't socialized that way, they're socialized to be stoic and put on a brave face. At the same time, women are socialized to be people pleasers, to go along with things just to keep up the harmony even if they don't really like it. Even if sexbots made all men go "MGTOW," women could just buy their own sexbots, so it wouldn't matter. I don't see why it would make women try harder to be appealing to men, though- why would I try at all to be appealing to men when I could simply buy a male sexbot?

This argument is ridiculous. Do you not understand how the free market works? Every customer should not be expected to be a content creator. It's totally reasonable for customers to demand that established companies make things they want to buy, rather than becoming developers themselves and making their own stuff. Every time I've seen the "what if she was your wife/daughter/mother" thing, it's been in relation to things like abuse, rape, and sexual harassment. Basically, it's a strategy to try to get men to see women as human beings, people who don't deserve to have crimes committed against them, people who don't deserve to be treated rudely just for existing. I'm a sex negative feminist, do you actually want to know what it is? I'm 100% in favor of sexbots, though, being against sexbots really is NOT a stance that sex negative feminists have.

I had a discussion on PPD about this a few days ago with a guy who claimed feminists were against sex bots, but he couldn't come up with any links to prove that besides multiple links to the same person, Kathleen Richardson. I looked at the linked video and YET AGAIN it's complaining about a paper written by Kathleen Richardson. "Feminists" aren't again sexbots, there is literally one crazy person, Karhleen Richardson, who seems to have an issue with sexbots. And for some odd reason TRP is obses…

Yeah, I would say it's pretty avareage. I mean, I'm 37, and first started having sex when I was 17. Fifteen people over the span of 20 years doesn't seem like a lot to me, especially considering I don't do relationships so I've been single pretty much that whole time.

In terms of social status a fat person is similar to a man with a low partner count. A woman with a high partner count would be similar to, I don't know, an average person? There's not as much stigma as there used to be. Basically I just have a fetish for virgins, it's hard to explain why you find something hot. Plus when I try to explain it I tend to get called creepy.

Everyone isn't a victim or being assaulted all the time. It's NOT that hard to obtain enthuastic consent. I mean, if the people you're having sex with find you so unappealing that in your mind enthuastic consent is some ridiculous standard that could never be met, you need to not be having sex with those people. I've had plenty of sex with plenty of people where no one was being assaulted, it's called only having sex when both people actually want to. If one spouse truly feels they were raped to…

People on here seem so weirdly unaware of how harsh Social Justice circles are on female rapists. I constantly see posts on Tumblr calling women disgusting rapists for having sex with a 17 year old and being a couple years older, or failing to obtain enthuastic constant. Yeah, it would be rape if one person is "meh" about it. But nobody is going to burst into your bedroom and declare the consent wasn't entusiastic enough- like obviously no one will even know about it unless one person feels vict…

I originally met my fwb when he was 16 and I was 23. I grew up in a state where 16 is the legal age of consent, so there was nothing illegal about it. We actually lied to his parents and told them I went to his high school. Though they eventually found out the truth and he got grounded lol. Fifteen years later and his parents still hate me. But yeah, so I'm biased on the subject, I always feel bad knowing that if my SJ circle knew about my past, they would literally think I'm a rapist. I was act…

I think it's kind of different. Like, if a fat person only wanted to date skinny people, a lot of people would call that hypocritical. But if a thin person only wanted to date fat people, few would say that's hypocritical. I'm sure you're aware that it's generally considered socially undesirable for a man to have a low partner count.

But a man's yes doesn't count either if it's not enthuastic consent, so this doesn't grant women any less agency than men.

Well I see women getting attacked all the time in SJ circles. Such as the fact that everyone hates Caitlyn Jenner for being an awful homophobe. So yeah, if a guy is against abortion, he will be mocked, that's an opinion against women's rights. And I know you don't believe this despite it being literally indisputably true, but men are advantaged over women in society. So comparing someone like Roosh to a feminist is like comparing the KKK to the NAACP, or comparing the Wesboro Baptist Curch to th…

So is this discussion about literally anyone who calls themselves a "feminist" or is it about the Tumblr Social Justice movement? Because Tumblr SJ fucking HATES Jezebel, like, A LOT. Seriously. We hate Jezebel so fucking much. Like, our thoughts on Jezebel are basically, "Pretty much almost as bad as Cosmo, but not as comical???" I think you're probably thinking of troll blogs created by 4chan, and then posted to TiA, because the people on TiA aren't smart enough to tell the difference between a troll blog and the real thing. Just so you know, you did the you're/your mistake again. Well as I said, if someone is consistently refusing sex, I do consider that a dealbreaker. Well, to be fair, the marriage vows say "forsaking all others," so cheating is verboten, but there's nothing in the marriage vows that say "must have sex any time I want." But I responded to that topic saying that if the person you're married to truly isn't interested in sex anymore, you should divorce immediately. Because why stay married to someone who isn't interested in sex with you? It seems fairly pointless, and no one will be happy in that situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/15 09:52 AM

I think if you're married to someone who doesn't want to have sex with you ever, you should 100% divorce, no ultimatums, just divorce- aren't you the ones who say that desire can't be negotiated? Honestly, if she's only having sex with you to prevent a divorce, then she doesn't really want the sex and frankly, that basically is rape. If she has no desire for you the marriage is over- why continue with someone who only views you as a friend or less?

I tend to think that we'll have solar power down when oil starts getting really scarce. It's a basic economic principle- we don't have decent solar power right now because using oil is still cheaper. Once it gets to the point where oil is so scarce that inventing efficient solar power is actually cheaper than drilling out the last of our oil supplies, we simply will invent solar and wind power- when the market has a need, it will be filled, that's how economics works. In the US the majority of women are overweight, so just by virtue of not being fat she's already above average, ie a 6 at least. And she has a cute face and overall has no major defects, which pretty much gets her another point at least if you're actually comparing her on a scale including all other humans. It just goes to show that RP men have ridiculously unrealistic standards, you can look at a girl who is quite clearly above average, and call her average.

But if they're not representative then why are they so frequent? There are literally SO MANY posts like that in TRP and PPD. In other online communities I frequent, I generally see ZERO posts advocating rape. So it seems obvious that there's something about TRP ideas that is advocating rape and/or attracting the type of men who rape. There was even a popular "reformed redpiller" post about a guy who actually attempted rape because of what he learned from TRP, and the attempted rape is what made …

That seems incongruous with saying that women have been screwing you over so long that you'd now laugh if one of your sex partners was killing herself over you. That sounds like hatred to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 02:03 AM
10

How can that not make you unhappy? Genuine question. I can't imagine wanting to have sex at all with someone I hate so much that I'd be happy to see them slit their wrists. That sounds like a miserable life. Like why is having sex with someone you hate any better than just using a fleshlight? What's even the point?

If he's made it to his 20s as an involuntary virgin and suffers from depression there's a near-100% chance he has low confidence and is naturally submissive. A naturally submissive male will never be truly happy trying to turn himself into a dominant and be in a relationship with a submissive woman, that's why TRP has an "anger phase," none of them are happy with what TRP sells them. They would be happier if they embraced their submissiveness and dated dominant women.

But then why are there constantly so many posts on TRP advocating rape? Like there was one post where a guy literally said you should subtly threaten to murder a girl if she won't have sex with you. His theory was that the woman really wants to have sex, but she has a "slut shield," and threatening murder will allow her to rationalize and tell herself "Well this doesn't make me a slut, I just have to do it so I don't get murdered." And a guy in PPD made a bunch of comments where he said that if …

So you'd really be happy if your sex partners were slitting their wrists in the bathrooms afterwards? It wouldn't make you unhappy to know you'd abandoned morals and were hurting people solely for the sake of getting laid? Is getting laid really that important that you'd be willing to sink that low, to become the type of person who is fine sitting there while someone slits their wrists over you? Isn't going that far to get laid like the total opposite of "taking the pussy off the pedestal"?

So how can you not believe with live in a patriarchy? The actual definition of a patriarchy is a society where men hold the vast majority of power positions, ie high-ranking government officials, religious leaders, wealth holders, and media creators. In our society, most of the House, Senate and Supreme Court are made up of men, we've never had a woman president, almost all religious leaders are men- many of the more popular religions don't even allow women leaders- men hold most of the wealth a…

I don't understand how people can claim to have morals while at the same time saying they think "morals are subjective." Morals aren't subjective, some things are moral and others are immoral, and the things I believe in are moral because obviously they are, if I didn't truly believe that then why would those be my morals? I wouldn't have chosen those as my morals if I didn't believe they were correct. If you've chosen a particular set of morals but still believe morals are "subjective," obvious…

I realize you don't believe the people in social justice circles on Tumblr are the "real" feminists, but according to what feminism is actually defined as academically, they really are much much closer to actual feminist views than most other groups on the internet.

I really wouldn't call those posters "feminists." In social justice circles on Tumblr, nobody would say these things- most of those quotes are actually extremely ableist, classist, and misogynist (calling a man, or anyone, a "b*tch" is misogynist.)

You don't have to have seen Twilight to know what Edward looks like...I've never seen any of the movies, but I know what he looks like because I've seen plenty of pictures online. Well, also because I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and I remember when the 4th movie came out and all my friends were going bonkers over how hot Cedric Diggory was (the actor who played Cedric later went on to play Edward.) I mean, I have no idea how anyone could prove or disprove whether women who like Twilight are more likely to be fat, suburban or boring than anyone else. Especially boring since that's so subjective. It's also always weird to me how people use "suburban" as an insult, considering the majority of people in the US live in the suburbs.

That just says that young women often like guys around their own age, it doesn't explain why they seem to be particularly attracted to feminine/androgynous guys around their own age. You really don't think Edward looks feminine? Justin Bieber also had a contingent of middle aged fans. I actually used to be really into him, but then he got that awful haircut and those ugly tattoos and started acting like a jerk and started making annoying R&B music.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/15 06:02 PM

Those kinds of guys are popular with young women, but still, why? Men don't generally go through a youthful phase of being very attracted to masculine women. And aren't young women the target of TRP anyways? Also, those androgynous guys tend to have pretty big adult fan bases- look at all the "Twi-moms" who were attracted to the "pretty boys" in the Twilight movies.

It seems like you're just dodging the question. The question is, why is prettiness in males considered hot at all, if women are supposedly only attracted to hyper-masculine alphas? And status doesn't explain it, the OP addresses that. But also, look at the kinds of guys you see in, for example, yaoi, which is pretty much the biggest area of porn made by and for women. So if a woman gets pregnant on accident and doesn't have a father who was arranged up front...then what happens? Either she'll be forced to get an abortion, or she'll have the baby and then either the father or all the taxpayers will be forced to care for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/15 02:42 PM

I've never even read that book...it has nothing to do with that specific book, it's about the actual facts of how animals evolve. These facts about testicle size existed when I was studying anthropology in the 90s, way before that book was even thought of. I'm not even sure what you're talking about since I haven't read that particular book, but how do you think male human testicles evolved to be so large if females weren't promiscuous?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/15 02:39 PM

So basically your system is just a fantasy where all women choose what you think they should choose? In reality, women can choose to have a baby without an involved father- it may not be a good or smart decision, but you can't force that decision, unless you're saying you should force women to have abortions against their will, which is a huge violation of bodily autonomy. I just Googled it: "Differences in sexual infidelity as a function of gender have been commonly reported. It is more common for men compared to women to engage in extradyadic relationships. The National Health and Social Life Survey found that 4% of married men, 16% of cohabiting men, and 37% of dating men engaged in acts of sexual infidelity compared to 1% of married women, 8% of cohabiting women, and 17% of women in dating relationships (Lalasz & Weigel, 2011)." So around 30-34% of men initiate divorce...not even remotely close to 30% of mothers abandon their children, so how can you compare a man's love for his wife to a mother's love for her children?

So what exactly is the nuance? If it's that difficult for a man to lose love for a woman, then shouldn't men almost never dump or divorce women? Shouldn't a woman getting dumped be as rare as a mother abandoning her child?

It seems to me that men have long discarded any woman who didn't do exactly what he wanted- if she didn't have sex with him, if she cheated on him, if she was infertile and couldn't give him children, even if she gave him children and those children weren't boys, because back then they didn't know that it was the man's sperm that determined the sex of the child, and they were eager to blame women fo…

This is actually a question I've often wondered about...the thing is, even in prehistoric times, brains were more important than brawn. Because really, how did we get to the top of the food chain? Was it through physical strength? Obviously not, we're actually really weak and slow compared to most animals. Almost every animal can either outfight or outrun us. But we're smarter than everything else on this planet, and that's why we're at the top. This is why, back in the days before we were homo …

But this is what confuses me about the RP theory of love- that they say men love the woman herself, while a woman loves what a man can do for her. If you truly love the woman, and not what she can do for you, does that mean you'd keep loving her even if she quit doing anything beneficial for you? Like if she stopped giving you sex or affection, was lazy and refused to work but also refused to clean the house, cheated on you, etc? You'd still love her and stay with her, because you love her and n…

5-6 I guess. Maybe a 6-7 when I first had sex at age 17. I'm 36 and have had 15 partners- 9 FWBs, 1 FB (fuck buddy, which is a lot different from an FWB), 2 ONS, 3 STRs (all 3 short term relationships happened in my teen years) and zero LTRs. My first partner was someone I didn't even like or find attractive, but at the time I was a nerdy teenager and no guy had ever shown interest in me, and when I had crushes on guys they'd reject me and then make fun of me in front of the whole school. So whe…

So I'm genuinely curious as to what you mean when you say "entitled." Feeling entitled means you feel it is a right you should have. For instance, people who think everyone is entitled to a living wage believe corporations should be compelled by law to pay all workers a living wage. People who believe everyone is entitled to basic necessities like food and shelter believe that the government should compel people to pay taxes and then use that tax money to give food and shelter to people in need.…

I spent my 20s being rejected so frequently by guys that it was a running joke among my friends that I'd been rejected more than any other human alive. There were tons of times when I tried to talk to a guy in a social setting and he silently turned away from me and pretended I wasn't speaking to him. I definitely did not get "validation just from breathing air." I eventually fixed this problem, and it relates to the OP's question about whether "bad girls" do better. Basically, I stopped being n…

Is Oktoberfest now a celebration of deflowering virgins? If so, I guess the answer is yes xD

You seem to have no idea what "betas" actually think/say. As a girl with a virgin fetish, I can tell you that no beta boys say, or indicate, what you've outlined above. I've had sex with an awful lot of virgins, who I guess would be labelled as "beta" in your ideology, and exactly NONE of them have insulted me over my sexual past.

Well I don't think it's fair to throw girls who like the Boston bomber in there with the others. The girls who are into the Boston bomber are all conspiracy theorists who believe that the government did 9/11 and that the government is responsible for all terror attacks, and that therefore the Boston bomber is totally innocent and was framed by the evil government. So that's not hybristophilia, they don't believe he committed a crime, they believe he's a victim.

But RPers are always talking about wanting to bang beautiful women who have terrible, even evil personalities. Does this speak to the bad decision making that is inherent in men?

I actually think he's a literal psychopath, and I believe the woman who accused him of rape. Plus he admitted to having an adulterous affair with another woman besides Monica Lewinsky, and then another woman said she had an affair with him and apologized to Hillary. Exactly how many times does one have to cheat before they're counted as a serial cheater?

I honestly can't tell if you're kidding with this comment. Bill Clinton is a womanizing jerk. And everyone knows he's an adulterer. How is cheating on your wife "nice"? Part of my comment was talking about how people find cheaters attractive, because cheating is a jerk thing to do.

I'm not the person you were originally replying to, but I want to say that I've also had several anime nerds reject sexual advances from me. I wouldn't say I'm beautiful, but I wouldn't say I'm ugly, either. I've never been overweight. I'm pretty much just plain and average looking. I was actually just posting about all the rejection I've faced in another topic on PPD- I don't know, I guess today is my day for complaining about all the nerds who rejected me in my 20s. I fixed it though and haven…

I disagree with like 99% of what TRP says- I'm a feminist, and I actually have a social justice blog on Tumblr. The one thing I agree with about RedPill is that I do believe people are attracted to jerks. I do believe that if you're nice, no one will be attracted to you. I just think TRP misses the fact that this is true for everyone, not just one specific gender. Studies have been done showing that disagreeableness positively correlates with sexual success, and that's true across genders. I cou…

What you don't seem to realize is that you're being a pozphobe and that's why you're getting downvoted. And I'm sorry to inform you, but being a pozphobe is a real thing. You are bigoted against people who are HIV+ and that is irrational, because HIV is now treatable and no longer a death sentence, and it's also preventable with condoms, so there's no reason to be a pozphobe. And also your 4% statistic is super, super debatable, because people are notorious liars on sex surveys, especially when …
