I agree with your comment, that because there are bad men, that we as society are more distrustful and have a bias towards men as a whole. I can understand where it comes from and still be saddened to be constantly profiled as a threat. There was probably a moment around 12-13 years old where I noticed the shift from being treated like a child to treated like a threat. Going out of my way to be perceived as less threatening is tiring and morale crippling, but necessary.

Don't forget they're also racist. https://postimg.cc/8JV59mZv Above link who the mods are friends with apparently. Very free with the use of the n-words too.

This is very dismissive way to look at it. The reality is posting about any men's issues here will be rejected as a failure of that man individually. Posting about any "serious" issues here, will likely only make a man feel worse about those exact issues, as the crowds in this forum like to hunt on insecurities. I also assume you say "serious" issues because you will dismiss any mans issues as not as serious as womens. Maybe true, if we want to only talk about the worst of the worst issues. But …

Since you referenced the mods; https://postimg.cc/8JV59mZv Above link who the mods are friends with apparently. More hate speech than that was part of the conversation. I was banned for calling a bigot a bigot, because they're friends with the mods? Or maybe the mod's like to protect bigots?

I think when it comes to men finding it easier to detect bad men, is because those bad men are mask off around other men. We see their toxicity, bullying, and misogyny, and then later see women around them that they are "nice" to. And then those same guys say shit about those girls when they're gone. But these are often seen as "successful" men in dating. I don't blame women for not being able to suss them all out, they're actively lying to the women. But for the man that refuses to lie to women…

It's only really Motte and Bailey if you believe that this is more defensible than the aggregate of your post history being hypocritical. Sure selective seriousness can be gross, but you do it too, so why listen to the hypocrite? And: Shame is an ineffective method at changing negative behavior to positive. It's also generally a tactic used by manipulators and toxic people.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 05:38 PM

So is there nothing wrong trying to shame someone for not doing what you want them to at their expense? Isn't this more or less the general point of all of your posts? To shame behaviour of men you dislike? Is this not really really hypocritical of you to say that others shouldn't shame, when you've also repeatedly made posts where the content is based on shaming others not in your group?

I agree, not wanting to date someone doesn't make people unsupportive to their lifestyle. However, from reading the comments in this thread denying transition and saying things like "trans men are women, and I'm not gay" attitude, definitely is unsupportive of their lifestyle.

Sex refers to biological characteristics, while gender refers to social, cultural, and personal identity aspects of being male, female, or other identities. They are not the same thing.

You're really just ranting on a tangent. People don't have to like or believe what you believe for it to be legitimate. Legitimate is not defined by "LillithofBabylon believes this." Hope this helps.

If I died, I'd expect my wife to move on within a year or two. Anything longer and I'd be sad she's not living her life fuller. We have great investments and careers, and if I pass for any reason she would likely be able to retire young. No reason not to enjoy it, that's what all the work and saving has been for.

I guess to me that would be reading into a small thing, rather than the overall person. I assume that in the meeting of a person, say for a coffee, I would learn more about them from the conversation than I would from whether not they accepted a 50/50 split offer. As I've said before, I'm a generous person. I also want a generous partner. If someone comes across as selfish with their things and generously entitled to mine, I'd find that off putting. When someone isn't willing to pay for their ow…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 08:53 PM

I get where your coming from. I also make well over six figures, so I generally don't mind being generous with it. Whether that means paying for rounds of drinks with friends, buying the homeless guy outside a meal, the order of the lady with two fussy kids in line behind me. But I think I'd find myself very incompatible with someone who looks at my generosity as their earned right. I'd rather be with a partner as generous.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 07:32 PM
2

Question, are you saying that though your offer is genuine, if the man doesn't pay that's a way to eliminate them? By all means, I understand what you're saying about all things being equal, but were talking about 50 individuals. There is no way all things are equal. I'd have to assume that there are more important criteria than if they took you up on your proposed 50/50 offer.

Okay. And some man will see this and think, if they can make fun of that I can do X. I don't know why we can't just admit it's better that no one does this instead of using someone else's bad behaviour to justify more.

No one likes a guy who wants to make his insecurities other people‘s problems. Ok What is appealing about a guy who is obsessed with making sure he’s the best guy a woman’s ever fucked and gets mad if a woman fucked a guy hotter than him? Ok, maybe if he uses that as motivation without making it her problem, otherwise sure. What is appealing about being with a man obsessed with competing with other men rather than focusing on what he wants in a woman? Fair enough Why should a continuously risk h…

There is no way of knowing that a guys has a small dick In the adult world nobody gives a shit about friend's or coworker's sizes Exactly why we shouldn't use it as an insult. If we say for example, "Maga losers are just compensating for their tiny dicks!" Then you don't know who is hearing it and saying "Why am I being compared to a MAGA't over my body?"
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 05:10 PM

I appreciate the effort in making the analogy as vivid as you did.

I get that. And for the ocean example. I'd say it's one person in the ocean of water they can't drink vs a person in a desert with nothing but sand. Both die of thirst, but I know if I was going out, I'd probably drink the salt water at some point just to feel the ability to swallow before I go.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/26 07:01 PM

You're comparing one person whose option is to starve or eat garbage. The other person has no food and just starves. Both can starve, and it's true the outcome is the same. But there is some dignity in feeling like starving was a choice.

I have stayed consistent that your own example of men attacking or insulting, or creating a culture that is derogatory to other people is not okay. You framed every extra response since as if I condoned it from men to blame women. That's untrue. That's you lying. South Park makes a lot of racist jokes. Do you think that means if a woman calls a man the N word, its okay because South Park did it first?

Are you capable of engaging in good faith? Did I say that the women weren't profiting too? So we are shrugging off men laughing at men’s penises, good to know. We are or you are? Im glad I was right that things are only considered bad when its women’s hurting men’s feeling. Men being awful to men? Meh. No, I didn't say it's okay for men to be awful to men. Again, in the flip side of this, your point would be deemed irrelevant because This would fall under the "not all women" argument. Which I'm told is only to distract from the real important issue were trying to discuss about a specific point. Once again, I hate this logic. Just presenting you what I'm accustomed to hearing in response for saying similar things to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 08:28 PM
15

Okay but I never dated Chads, never got treated like trash, and never said all men are trash. Then why are your responding to PP. His direct comment is talking about the women that fit that example. Women on here tend to tell men, "it's actually telling your offended by that, because it's not talking about you unless you lump yourselves in with those women" To be fair, I hate that logic, but I want to point it out what would be said to you if genders were flipped.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 08:11 PM
1

Did I say that the women weren't profiting too? As I've pointed out in another comment you've so far ignored about how often you preach hypocrisies, I find it funny that you think pointing to one wrong means another thing is okay. I didn't say, it's okay for South Park to do it. You are saying it's okay for others because South Park did it. That's more hypocrisy from you.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 08:01 PM
1

It's also not like South Park invented it. Just because she learned of it there doesn't mean everyone experienced it first via that. It's also like there's not a popular mainstream female artist song about "energy" that played on every radio for at least a year.

Is it also victim blaming when you call out others problems as victim complex? Give an example of what youre talking about. When you frame male loneliness as nothing more than horniness, you trivialize all those who actually feel lonely. But you do not care. When men have any legitimate bad experience with women. You trivialize it as they were with bad women. Which is essentially "pick better", but you have dozens of posts about how its bad that men say "pick better". When some desire for romant…

I appreciate having to acknowledge that population groups can have conflicting or hypocritical viewpoints because, they're not a monolith. But to see an individual who seems incapable of applying the same standards to themselves and being so ignorant is mind boggling to me. You know, how your super against people playing the victim? I mean this argument goes both ways. While yes, i have heard men say that. I have heard women quip the same thing back "If your wallet is all your good for". AND? SO? And so, this is not exactly as gendered argument that your making? Because both genders do it to minimize the other, and you're an expert at it? What do you think are the biggest weaknesses in criticism of the manosphere (or male-side gender discourse more broadly) — regardless of who the criticism comes from? • Where is the criticism too broad, inaccurate, unfair, shallow, or ineffective? Small critique, I find the "manosphere" is used as a boogeyman. It is whatever it is needed to be to describe the bad of male society. I agree with most of what your saying. I like your analogy so I'll stay with it. All I want to point out is that while both parties in this analogy are not eating, so the result feels the same, they didn't arrive there the same. One person has choices, even if its between two undesirable choices, there is a privilege in having that choice verses someone with no choices. I'm not asking for anyone not to apologize for their privilege, only acknowledge it's existence. I'm not saying women have an o…

Sadly I just feel like if you start a system like this for some reason it runs into toxicity sooner or later. Maybe that is what I'm also missing in your post. How to hold yourself and others accountable from not escalating into abuse and toxicity. Like certain control measurements and rules to keep a certain level of morality, humanity and empathy. Sure. I really meant more like, one perfect option > lots of subpar options > no options. You don't have to be with anyone you don't want to, man or woman. But also pining over the perfect option isn't realistic and men need to learn to take the rejection and move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/26 04:49 PM

For some yes, the goal was just to get laid a lot. I think for others, it was to get in the door with women and have options. The book only taught you to chase the car, not what to do with it when you got it. I do think once the writer got into a long term relationship they back tracked on a bunch of things from the book, but also were selling over priced dating coach stuff. So it's hard to say what was the grift and what was useful advice.

I do think there was inclusion in the book part of finding other people and creating a group that went out. And they would hold each other accountable. I do think they got a bit toxic though. It's been years since I read the book and I probably should have re-read it before making the post. I do think women should read the book, only to know and spot the manipulation tactics.

Why would someone who learns from reading be somehow worse than someone else? I assume you don't look down on physicists, philosophers, writers, or any academic that learned from reading books. Why apply an arbitrary standard here? Not to mention, the book in no way tries to substitute itself for lived experience. As I mentioned, one of the important things was to be out there practicing, using failure as learning, and becoming resilient through repeated exposure. I do agree that you shouldn't f…

I'm not going to say that there are no men saying this, because I'm sure there are women here who have had this very experience. But I don't see this as 'normal' male behaviour. Well, maybe you're not speaking to me because I of course prioritize enjoying spending time with the person I want to date. That's like the bare minimum standard for any friendship, let alone a relationship. If I don't enjoy someone's company, I'm going to do everything in my power to minimize being around them. I don't see how actively trying to minimize being around someone could possibly lead to a sex or a relationship. However, in a relationship, I do have a higher standard, and yes sex is a…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 03:35 PM

Your standards are your own and you don't have to change it to adapt to "average". If you don't want average, there is no reason for you to settle, but that doesn't change what "average" is. Edit: I equate what you said as similar to what some guys say about women. Ie. "I don't want to have to see fat women". I don't think that's a great world view outlook, and I look down on those men more that the loser man in the original post.

Straight from google; The average American man (age 20+) is approximately 5 feet 9 inches (69 inches) tall and weighs about 199.8 pounds, with a waist circumference of 40.5 inches. Data from CDC shows these figures are consistent with national averages.

Which one do you think is initiating the divorce? Edit: Also, because I asked most people who said the sleeping with someone else part was a major contributor to their assessment, what if she never slept with the other guy, only kissed. Still a form of betrayal but not to the same severity. This version of the scenario neither the guy or girl have then been with another person, though I've insinuated she had options and he didnt.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 11:15 PM

I'm a bit younger than you, millennial. No idea what it's like out there now. My experience is only from what I've witnessed, and while I have seen women prompt fwb or casual sex relationships, it's generally been with my more attractive male friends. I have ugly (or uglier, maybe average) friends that have had success as defined by lots of casual sex partners, but they put in the work to chase every opportunity and it's not normal for them to have women initiate that set up.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 06:55 PM

Personally, I doubt that it would increase their odds, but who knows. I guess, if the motive is increasing their odds, maybe there is a benefit that they can get rejected faster, and move on faster. If they want casual sex, it's probably going to be a numbers game and moving through options faster makes sense, but also has a trade off from a quality approach for quantity approach. I also see a benefit for the women, if men were upfront, they could just reject them faster, also saving their time.…

Your point is valid, and speaks volumes to communication in general. I think its morally right to be honest and clear, and maybe they can save time. But, i think it's more about doing the right thing morally, regardless of the outcome, rather than to increase their odds at casual sex (which I assume is how some people are interpreting it).

Honestly, no idea! There is an admirable aspect of being content with what you have being rather than always seeking 'better'. One thing was that he never had other options, so the alternative of better is as hypothetical as the situation.

/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 04:39 PM

While I agree with the whole people should be upfront with their intentions, I think you're almost framing it as these guys don't get casual sex because they don't ask for casual sex. I agree with premise, if you want casual sex, ask for it. But there's a disconnect they may not understand from the way you're saying it, is that asking for it doesn't come with a reward of getting it. It just means they were more upfront and morally, that was a better thing to do.

I've yet to witness anyone's life that wasn't messy in some way at some point! In my example, she could have still had more options than the just the one guy in the example, so she made that choice, but to your point she probably settled.

I'm not a subject matter expert on that so I'd be making a guess, but I assume it's more so that they never have, despite all of their life's efforts. I make the assumption they have given sufficient effort in trying, because as to your point, everyone likes to orgasm.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 04:06 PM

You get the dick you're born with! There is also a statistic that something like 30% of women can't orgasm reliably, and a good portion of those can't orgasm at all. Would that impact your assessment if she was one of those?

Ross: They were on A BREAK! Would it change your opinion or assessment, if we say she didn't sleep with the male friend, but only kissed him. Did you go hair plug route? Also, the rest of that sounds in general great for you.

I appreciate your comment, but once again I just wanted to see different perspectives analyzing the same situation.

Are you implying that there is a direct correlation between the attractiveness of a male and the likelihood of a female orgasm? I wonder if it's really as impactful as you say!

Sounds like you've found a good place to be! Happy for you!

If we change the story a little bit, would it change your assessment? Let's say she didn't sleep with her male friend, but she did make out with him for example. Does it change much, or is the assessment the same?

I think that's a great baseline. Do you think 5'9 and 200lbs is too far from average to be considered average?

I totally am the real loser, thanks bud!

I'd say what he has going for him is companionship and financial security. That's better off than most, but not normally all that someone aspires to.

All of this has been pulled from real life that I have witnessed. lol, but one experience doesn't mean it's typical or common, either.

What if she say's she's sexually happy? I see lot's of women saying orgasm isn't the point of sex, and that it is from a male perspective to think that way.

Good point. I'd love to hear that too.

Are you saying he should be a passport bro instead? lol

That's fair, I agree it's not necessarily realistic to paint someone as a winner or loser, though some people do think that way and for generalizations, I expected people to have an opinion one way or another. As far as their personalities, I don't think I said much towards either of theirs, so I'd say it could go either way on that.

Sounds like you have a dissenting opinion of the group, I think that's interesting. I think you're also one of the few that also talks about her perspective!

Fair assessment, and I think you might be one of the few deferring to what he thinks rather than the other items in the post, but as for the job, I think if you ask a ton of people they would willing do a job they don't care for if it meant financial stability.

As a mod, how often do people tell each other to kill themselves on this subreddit?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 11:10 PM

One day for shits and giggles my wife and I each made a tinder and bumble profile. She used one face photo without her body, no other photos, and nothing written in her profile. Within two weeks and less than 10 minutes a day of swiping, she had 100's of matches. Almost everyone she swiped right on was a match. I on the other hand spent more time on my profile talking about myself, initially was really specific with my swiping not to get algorithmic into the ground. lol I never even got a match.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
