You're a speed reader? My idea of reading a book, and this is backed by science, is that it is something you do in order to create physical changes in your brain. For example, if you read 5 technical books about how to code a computer, you have literally created a network of neurons in your brain that now have information stored about how to code a computer. The slower and more deliberate you make this process, the better the results for your brain, no?

I just read this entire post slowly and I don't really understand the point you are trying to make.

Start eating tons of real food that tastes good to you and fills you up without making you think you are dieting. Most people when they try to diet and eat right start undereating and eating bland food and this makes them binge all the time, it's your body's way of trying to survive. Don't fight your instincts to eat food, just redirect them into healthier foods like potatoes, rice, fruits, meats, honey, eggs, cheese/kefir, etc. Eat lots of good homemade foods that taste really good (well spiced…

You should take a year off, just do nothing all year except whatever you want to do at all times. If you have to work to make money do that but at all other times just only ever do whatever it is that you feel like doing. Just go all out 'dont give a fuck' mode. You should also find what is getting you angry. If someone made you upset you should go up to that person in real life and yell at their face until you feel relief

Yeah, I was going to say, it seems like a great time to jump in and stake your claim. I might do the same. Very exciting times ahead for sure, I wish you luck. Btw someone has been downvoting all your posts in here, very strange.

This is all very exciting stuff. And I don't use that word lightly as I am usually a very reserved person. You mentioned that your contact was a developer but I am curious, are you in the space in some form as well, or do you just have an interest in it?

I just googled everything you mentioned and watched a bunch of youtube videos on them as well. All I can say is wow. I was convinced before that VR would take over sooner or later but I greatly underestimated the variety of types of VR that were out there and what applications they can have. Also underestimated the amount of money, talent, and ingenuity that is currently in this area. I'm now quite sure like you are that everyone will be using VR in some form quite soon (Daydream, Magic Leap, Vo…

Fantastic post. Thank you. Within 10 years the vast majority of us will be 'plugged in' Is there a chance that this is overly optimistic? I can certainly imagine it but i'll give a related example at my own expense: a few years ago I got caught up in the Bitcoin craze and thought everyone would be using digital currencies sooner or later but it never really panned out. VR is truly The Last Medium But VR takes place over the internet right? What if the internet is restricted to the point where VR…

This post is so true. It's actually something that i'm dealing with right now in my own life/with my own family. They are completely locked down and a slave to their previous choices/possessions and I am struggling really hard to break us all free from it and get freedom for us. It's really tough to break free once you are enslaved.. my advice to all reading is to never become a slave in the first place. Due to the shit market my mother is stuck in a house she can't afford that is too big for he…

Looks great, but need to lose the titles before each post saying "finance" "mens rights" "red pill theory" etc. It's too cluttered. Find a way to integrate that title into the icon on the left

I've been studying nutrition for over 9 years, if you want to become lean you need to cut out wheat and refined sugar first and foremost. Carbs don't make you fat. Eat rice and potatoes and all the fruits you want. Fat doesn't make you fat. Eat butter, egg yolks, fatty cuts of meat, etc. I don't feel like proving this or getting into it but if you follow what I say for even just 2 weeks you will see a difference.

on paper sure. did you look at what is actually required for the body to completely break down a fatty acid into ATP? anyways, this simplistic view of diet is how people get led astray in the first place.. they focus on numbers out of context as if everything takes place in a vacuum. Focus instead on things like evolutionary biology and you will come to a better answer By the way, why does it have to be one or the other? I eat fats like they are going out of style, egg yolks, huge blocks of chee…

the only tissues that need glucose Are you basing your whole idea of the body on what something NEEDS in order to run? Why would you do that to yourself. This isn't about what the body needs, it's about what is optimal. You should look into cellular metabolism before you try to rebuke me

Low carb is absolutely possible, I agree. And I have done it. I've done low carb, I've done keto (by actually going into ketosis). I've done atkins, I've done carb cycling, friday carb reefeeding, cyclical keto, all of them. Like I said I have tried every diet that exists. But here's the thing - those diets aren't ideal. They aren't what our bodies were designed for. Hard science backs me up. We have certain things in our body that LOVE something called resistant starch that are only found in th…

Intermittent fasting probably increases testosterone for the same exact reason being thrown into a cage with a bunch of lions increases testosterone. You can't just look at these things in a vacuum and it's tough to draw a complete picture, but no I can never recommend choosing to starve yourself over and over for a long period of time. Fasting is great by the way, but done very very sparingly and with great purpose. Doing it every day as a way of life will stifle your metabolism over time. As f…

I'm glad you are putting these pieces together. Diet is absolutely absolutely linked to masculinity, energy levels, clarity of mind, etc. Getting your diet right is one of the best things you can do as a person. When I switched up my diet my voice became permanently deeper, my shoulders grew broader, my jaw got larger, and I became way more assertive, horny, energetic, and masculine. The phrase 'you are what you eat' comes to mind. I never gave it much thought, but now I know just how true and s…

So your main issues are money and time. Luckily eating well and healthy doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. There are ways to do this well, do this cheaply, and do this in a way that doesn't take up much time or preparation. My main advice would be to stick to the basics, and to learn to prepare them in bulk. The main things you will need are access to a microwave (good for heating up your bulk prepared foods) and a rice cooker. Get a huge rice cooker too, one that can make tons of rice in on…

Yeah, I know what you mean about scrounging the net for a diet plan. I was in the same exact position as you - but that was 8 years ago. I've since found a great diet plan and I will try to use it to help you. First of all, are you serious when you say only one meal a day? Because if so that's your problem right there. I mean, cut and dry, case over. One meal a day? That's unacceptable really. You need to feed yourself well in order to have a high metabolism. Without a high metabolism you won't …

Explain your diet to me. If it is nutrition related, I will for sure be able to help as I have a lot of experience in this area. If it is not nutrition related, then I have some other ideas as well, but first i'd like to know what you eat like.

I am aware of this definition of introvert vs extravert and I find it valid but I have an idea or a theory that current social dynamics are so thoroughly perverted by the use of tv/internet/smartphones that no introvert can truly understand what their normal state might be. I mean, we know for a fact that the overuse of any mental stimulant (internet, porn, games) causes both physical and chemical changes in the brain that affects how a person socializes and what kind of reactions and responses …

I disagree with the premise of your post. Alpha simply means leader of the pack. In any social situation, an ENTJ will always find a way to become the leader of the pack, and absolutely outshine any other personality type present. So I believe that you can judge alpha/beta by personality type. I think these things have far more overlap and interrelation than it might seem at first glance. ENTJ, if broken down by cognitive function, literally is a recipe for an extreme go getter who prides himsel…

I want to try and tie this in with another personality theory that I have read into. There seems to be some good amount of overlap between the two. What I am referring to is the myers-briggs classification of personality types. It is a system that tries to classify people based on a limited number of personality types - and if I can add some color from my end, I would say that it does a pretty damn good job. Looking at this system, it has both an introverted and an extroverted version of each ty…

I'll take that as a compliment. And to your dental issue, I hope you get everything resolved and are able to do whatever activities you want. Cheers from my side as well.

When it comes to patient/doctor relations, you will definitely be the one in the weaker position, because you are coming from a place of lower information and you are giving up control of your body to someone else. In these types of situations I find it best to co-opt the strategies that evolution bred into females (who mastered the art of finding advantage in weakness). Learn to shit test and branch swing. Ask your doctor the question we are talking about, but treat it like a shit test. If you …

I have the same missing teeth as you, although with a different solution, so i'll respond. This isn't a question for TRP. You need to ask a dentist, preferably your own, and do some research on google and boxing/mma forums.
