I can see this as an issue in maybe 2 years at this point cost, the space required for something like a vive, and the lack of personal porn experiences yet still haven't created the ecosystem for this to become prominent . However I know many beta men who would welcome the ease of a VR dating , m'lady, and ultimately sex simulation . Once someone makes a big investment into an interactive VR porn experience that can get you off I am sure many betas will flock to it .
I have never researched but I wonder comparatively how successful the makers of Real Dolls are . That's a few decades from being a sex bot itself and in a similar group of lifeless sexual receptacles for the struggling man .
[–][deleted] 29 points30 points31 points 10 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
The space requirement won't go away. You'll need a dedicated room for VR or at least sweep some other room as you need positional tracking.
I have researched dolls a while ago and there are Chinese makers now who do things for a lot cheaper (as in a good doll for 2k). Lifeless dolls are too creepy for the vast majority of guys though.
[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Very true on the space requirement , I think men will be ok with one or the other . I am thinking about the lowest common denominator , the guys who happily live in the basement / garage with mom and dad . I think cost AND space is a huge factor but if you can reduce the cost and product the porn experiences they would eat it up.
The dolls are definitely creepy as well as putting an auto fleshlight on your dick and letting it work it's magic with your headset on . I was just mentioning the Real dolls as kind of a gauge for market interest. but a VR experience is definitely something that fits more with the current way most porn is used , people enjoy it privately and never have to reference a trace of it otherwise in your personal life .
[–]Johnball101 34 points35 points36 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
VR porn and auto flesh lights will suck in a huge percentage of males. Why deal with un-feminine bitchy women when you can fuck your loving waifu at any time?
It's going to be incredibly dysgenic as poor dumb third world men will be the ones imptegnating western women.
[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Very unlikely, the marriage and birth rates will just go down further. Western women are repulsed by 99.99% of 3rd world men.
[–]xx69bootyhunter69xx 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
I'm Indian and 5'6" and I agree. Not just Western women, for South Asians and Orientals, even women of their own respective races lust after white expats from first world countries. Once you're born belonging to either of these 2 races, you have zero, if not negative intrinsic value. Gotta get extrinsic value-aka get rich and swole and adapt really alpha social traits to even get close to the kinds of guys women desire.
To be honest, I am all open to VR porn, because why not? It's too much of a struggle-next to impossible-to work so hard to get women. And on top of that there's always a chance of her putting you behind the bars with a simple false rape/domestic violence accusation. So much hard work only to get an overused pussy that too which might leave you/betray you at any moment is simply not worth it. I could keep lifting and working hard for myself to induce a sense of self-discipline but to do it for women? Nope, not just worth it.
The thing to be actually worried about is the Muslims. Because regardless of VR porn/whatever technology is at their doorstep they're going to only breed and breed with real women because their imaginary man in the skies, Allah teaches so. To fill the world with more and more of people who are not infidels. At one point, there will no non-Muslim whites, no non-Muslim Orientals, no non-Muslim South Asians, no non-Muslim blacks-just Muslims and Muslims everywhere-and all of the world will look like Saudi Arabia-where women will be stoned to death for cheating, infidels hanged and... well you get the picture. Civilization will be pushed back a few millennia and I doubt it will ever progress beyond that point.
[–]Royalartist 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Very true but predicting the future is a tricky endeavor. I do agree that your scenario will start out but there is likely to be some sort of change on the part of non Muslims as they see the writing on the wall. Laws may change or women may get their act together or whatever. It is unlikely to go to a total dark age since the products of the non Muslims are highly valued and the Muslims themselves are not smart enough to make their own so eventually some sort of equilibrium will be reached. On the other hand the dark ages did happen and at least twice but if the non Muslims are so inept to allow that then, quite frankly, they are not fit to survive anyway. All this can be seen as just another phase of evolution. Any life form that organizes itself so that it does not reproduce will die out. It is natures way.

I'm not talking about race, I'm talking about culture. No woman wants to fuck some guy from Afghanistan because they offer her nothing, and she'll keep away from them because she sees them as a threat because of their background. Women aren't going to fuck them just because they're the only guys left, which they obviously aren't going to be anyway.
You're just whining about being short and Indian. Dude, I don't care.

I am pretty open with new dating prospects/cool friends that I don't look at porn and think it's damaging, but that I do maintenance wank from time to time, and note the difference in how I feel. I'm not judgmental, people seem to catch that... I find the few cool people in self improvement/hobby related ways, so they are pre-vetted to some extent. Not with many people, just a few, but it's generally well received with some agreement.
[–][deleted] 36 points37 points38 points 10 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
I think most men won't use dolls. Watching free porn on computer is one thing, but buying and keeping a physical object is something else.

It's been acceptable for women to have dildos and vibrators. It's just starting to become acceptable for men to have like a fleshlight or similar that you can hide in your closet or something but a full life sized sex doll isn't going to be cool with the general public for a long while so people who use those will have really checked out from society.
[–]bluedrygrass 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'd say it still is unacceptable for a man to have a fleshlight. Unless you have crazy smv, you'd be seen as a loser and a weirdo. Meanwhile yes, many women can now easily joke between each other on their dildo collections

Is it though? Imagine you're at a house party and the host's fleshlight falls out of his closet. What do you think the reaction would be? Definitely a far cry from a woman's vibrator rolling out from under the bed.

Don't need most men to have a massive impact on the market. Even the removal of bottom 10 percent will start to turn things around in the relationship market.
[–]stawek 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
No, those guys are invisible to women anyway.
[–]FreeRadical5 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
See my reply to RP-Doctor. They aren't getting anything but the thirsty validation and unutilized availability to women still impacts how women behave.
Bottom 10% of guys have less than 1% of total sexual partners though.
This thread is full of wishful thinking. VR is not going to turn things around for anyone other than the guys who use it.
You don't seem to understand how the market works. E.g. even at the peak of a economic boom there is unemployment, however once the rate of unemployment drop below a certain threshold things really start tipping in the favor of job seekers. The bottom 5% may never have jobs but once they stop impacting the market with their willingness to take any shitty job (i.e. thirsty single guys in our scenario) it has a massive impact on everyone else. Even the guys at the very top benefit.. in fact they probably benefit the most.
I see this clearly in my career. I'm already in the top 5% income wise. I have never been unemployed since I graduated... always 1 week away from several offers if I want. However when there is a boom things are just fucking amazing. Companies are falling over themselves to cater to everything I want and give ever increasing paychecks. When the economy is down, the same fucking boss starts to demand more and more while slashing benefits.

To anyone who thinks this is a bad idea, there are always gonna be omega males who cannot get a female. This will give the poor fucks something and hopefully prevent real females taking that man's resources. There are always gonna be some men who won't get in shape or just put effort to get women or are just too ugly. This also takes some men out of the market as competition. So its good news all around.
[–]ItsKylos 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I agree. I myself would probably identify as a zeta, though I will certainly be interested in sex dolls in the future. The reason is that unfortunately I have a diminutive penis. Doctor in Serbia are not skilled and so my accident happened. TRP is help me to cope with regret and pain.

It certainly seems that, at least in the early stages, this will result in higher completion for afk males. There's a picture where Zuckerberg is walking past a room of journalists strapped into headsets which I think about on a daily basis.
[–]solidsnork 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I think about this a lot too. I think modern humans are going into some kind of odd virtual hive mind and as stuff like VR make advances its more and more likely. We have almost all the knowledge known to man in our pockets and can communicate with humans across the world in seconds. Its really like a hivemind.

Don't plan on using VR to achieve sexual gratification myself, but really looking forward to seeing how the SMP changes when the majority of beta men check out and into VR. But in all likelihood feminists will foam at the mouth when they realize that Chad never wanted them and their back up plans are no longer interested
[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Gonna be quite the sight. I'd never use VR, just because it doesn't appeal to me. But it would appeal to ALOT of guys and prevent the whores from getting a free meal ticket, which is always fantastic.

[–]bluedrygrass -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
a vr shooter could be cool
It won't, for quite some decades. The novelty aspect is cool, but it gets old really quick. There simply are unfixable issues with VR shooters: you can't move around properly. Using a pad or a keyboard to move around kills immersion and generates a weird unpleasant disconnection, because the body don't get the right feedback;
This can't be fixed. We don't have "hamster balls" or anything similar that can fix it. Not to mention the cables you have to drag around.
Also, it strains the eyes very much. I wouldn't be surprised if there'll be an "epidemic" of eye issues following the Vr pioneers

It's almost certainly going to be banned or at least heavily regulated/taxed, because "muh violence against women" or some bullshit like that. That will be a large hurdle to overcome.

I'm definitely looking forward to it because of how it'll impact the SMP and how betas tolerate hypergamous women. The more you eliminate sexual desire from the equation for these bottom-of-the-barrel males, the more they can see the shitty relationship status quo for what it is.
This is the first iteration towards sex robots-- I have a good feeling that this will benefit the SMP in a way that promotes RP mentality via slut shaming, values of domesticity, etc.
[–]Rynolz 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The old school systems of keeping betas breeding have been attacked and brought down by all the liberation ideology. There isn't going to be sympathy for the bottom of the SMP anymore, they'll just be ostracized in some socially acceptable way to allow the women to fuck more chads

Fucking bring it.
[–][deleted] 16 points17 points18 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Supply and demand. If guys check out and it makes a noticeable difference in the SMP, guys will check back in. The moment they see that women have gotten thirstier, they'll be back in the bars showering them with attention. At most this would be a worldwide craze that somehow (unlikely) avoids the taboo reputation and captures a significant number of men. There will be a one year period where women never lower their standards, but notice they're getting hit on less often. Articles in shit-tier media outlets will examine the phenomenon and alert all the betas that they've made women thirsty. Then all the betas will jump right back in, leaving only a tiny fraction of guys (the absolute bottom) still engaged in the VR game. It will be a fringe effect and the only guys benefitting in any meaningful way will be freaks with land whale fetishes.
Basically, this would never happen because real woman > VR and sex bots always (at least in our lifetime while the tech is still developing). So men who can get real women will go for it. If the supply of men drops, the demand of women goes down and they end up easier to get, but then guys come right back.
[–]1ToSeeAndToHear 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I think you're misjudging just how much betas are not getting anything, and just how much VR porn will fool the brain.
Current porn is watching someone else fuck hot girls and triggers those beta feelings of "watching the Alpha fuck my girl," VR will let betas feel like real alphas.
Who's going to buy a girl a drink when they only get starfish beta sex IRL, and their VR waifu realistically fucks them silly on a moment's notice?
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Probably 99% of the male population. The stigma behind it will keep at least 95% of men from ever trying it. Of that 5%, the cost of a good VR system and sex doll will keep 80% away. You're left with the 1% of the population that never got any anyway, so the SMP remains unaffected.
Not only will fake sex not measure up to real sex (in realism, sensation, and, most importantly, conquest), but even if it did have an effect on the SMP, guys would go flocking back, realizing that it's now easier to get a girl. This won't affect the SMP until VR > reality. That's probably only true for the most omega among us whose only option currently is to wine and dine a land whale.
You have to realize that a huge part of sex for guys is the chase/conquest (and the bragging rights that goes along with it). VR will take that out of the equation, so it will only be appealing to guys who either get none or get some from girls who bring them zero respect for banging.
[–]aDrunkenWhaler 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I completely disagree. I don't give 2 shits about any 'chase/conquest'. In fact, I'm turned off when some girl plays hard to get just because and I usually skip the trouble as there are plenty other girls willing to give me what I'm really looking for: great sex and having a great time without bullshit, drama and a plethora of shit tests.
I feel much better and more alpha when I get her in bed after 2 hours than 2 weeks. Sure, I agree she's not marriage material, but no women is nowadays. The chase is a bullshit concept that started in the romantic era when marriages were arranged and fathers had to get the highest prices and the best suitors for their daughters, and is continued today as a social construct to make men feel better for being beta.
Women fuck Chads and make betas chase them to feel like they won a prize. If you brag about waiting half a year to sleep with your spouse, you're basically bragging for being a loser. Also, when there is a chase, the sex and enjoyment almost never lives up to the expectations.
Women like to be chased. Men don't like to chase women, they do it because they have to. We don't like it because for most of our evolution it meant the posibility of death, which is still ingrained in our reptilian brain. You can feel that resistance every time you approach a new women.
VR porn with a sex attachment was tested at some event/con in Japan recently. They had to end the testing early because guys were coming in a minute which made it hard to clean fast enough and there was a giant mob of people yelling to get their turn
[–]1ToSeeAndToHear 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think you may be in a red pill bubble here. I totally get the conquest part, it's why I'm not slavering for VR porn myself.
But the average guy is not getting any. He's frustrated. VR porn will give him a more engaged, hotter partner than he thinks he'll ever find IRL, with no risk of rejection. Going back to real life where he strikes out and gets shot down... why would he bother when he can virtually fuck enthusiastic hb9s all day?
Will it take out our real competition? No way. Will it reduce the prevalence of thirsty as fuck orbiters? Almost certainly.

When quality sex bots take off the interactions between men and women are going to change big time, and I for one can't wait. When women realize just how few men actually give a damn about anything more than pussy, shit is gonna hit the fan. Marriage rates will be ridiculously low, women might learn they have to put effort into their relationships to be valuable when synthetic vaginas are just as good as the real thing.

We need to legalize prostitution.
[–]ChiefBigLeaf 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I wrote this comment on the Ohlala post the other day but I don't think anyone saw it so I'll recycle it here:
Prostitution should be legal. Promiscuity is legal. Any girl can go out out and suck a hundred dicks, she can set up a sign and have people form a line and every time she finishes someone off she could yell next if she really wanted to, and it would be completely legal. But all the sudden when money is involved it becomes illegal? Why should it be that way?
Sex trafficking and rape and all the other negative possibilities that people associate with prostitution are obviously wrong, but those things should be considered separate from prostitution. Making prostitution illegal because of those potentialities is throwing the baby out with the bath water. There is nothing wrong with two consenting adults agreeing to a transactional exchange of services. But if it's a consensual transactional exchange that involves sex and money it's suddenly illegal. That is silly.
[–]TheDon835 9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Don't you think that what will really happen is we just kind of stop interacting with each other? Quality sexbots wont be just for men. I think it'll prove we're all just fucking sex crazed animals. I don't think it'll create some epiphany for women. We'll all just become anti-social hyper-sexuals.
[–]Hitleresque 26 points27 points28 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Male sexbots will have to be far more complex than female ones, since the bot will have to take the lead, whereas female ones can be basically lifeless and the spergs will still fuck them. That, and women aren't as sex crazed as men and they're attracted to different things. A sex toy isnt going to make you feel sexy or protect you and pay your bills, men are irreplaceable in that regard. Most won't be willing to buy one for just an iron penis alone.
[–]FreeRadical5 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A sex toy isnt going to make you feel sexy or protect you and pay your bills
Precisely. Women's pickiness and excessive demands will be their own undoing when it comes to sex bots.

Homosexuality is not a decision, if that's what you're implying.
[–]Royalartist 18 points19 points20 points 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
I'm not so sure about that. I have had a number of male friends who were quite happy with men or women but tended to go with men because they were more available and less drama. For some people it is more important what is available.
[–]Sephar 14 points14 points14 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I'm going to go ahead and support you as even scientists aren't so sure about it. Not saying it's a conscious decision you make on the day, but external factors apparently can move you towards changing sexuality and mate scarcity is such a factor. It is proven that bisexuals usually have a preference of one gender and this can shift over time, as well, so yeah.
[–]ChiefBigLeaf 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's been said that for men sexuality is much more likely to be one-dimensional. Regardless of whether it's nature or nurture or choice (or most likely a combination of all three), men are more likely to be just gay or just straight. Of course their are many bisexual men but I'm dealing in probabilities and statistics right now.
On the other hand, female sexuality seems to be much more fluid. Females will generally gravitate towards whatever is put in front of them when in a state of arousal, males, females, or both. Threesomes where girls pleasure each other are much more common than ones where guys do. This explains why girls are more likely to be lovey dovey with each other while most guys don't go further than a firm handshake with each other.
[–]TheReformist94 -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
"Fluid"? No.women are bisexual.that's it
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Bisexuality is a thing, as is asexuality and pansexuality. But people don't choose that sort of thing. Why do you think women fuck Chads that treat them like shit, even when they know they're being pumped and dumped? It's built in to them.
Try beating off to gay porn. If you really honestly try to get off watching gay porn, you'll understand it's impossible to just 'choose' to enjoy it. You know attraction cannot be negotiated.

Posting this from a throwaway since its obviously a shameful subject.
I am a perfectly straight late 20s guy who hasn't done anything homo in almost a decade... getting all the attention I want from women now. Back in my late teens however I was a really horny and depressed kissless virgin. The realization that I was so unwanted that no one even wanted to hug or kiss me was killing me inside. I wanted to feel human touch, to have and hold someone... ANYONE. Eventually I reached a breaking point and started messing around with guys from craigslist. Once you get over the natural repulsion it isn't that hard to start enjoying the physical stimulation. Most people fantasize about others when having sex anyway. Over the next year I had sex with 9 guys including a 3some. Its was just so fucking easy. One email and a flood of guys show up, I could be as picky as I want and take my pick of exactly the type of guys I wanted for the night (I am actually a fairly good looking guy, was just socially retarded). Over time the natural repulsion completely went away and I started to enjoy it quite a bit. I still preferred girls and honestly so did most of the guys I was doing stuff with but this was a life line in the meantime.
Eventually I got confident enough out of these encounters that I started having some success with girls and never looked back.
The point is going gay due to mate scarcity is a thing... especially for those of us who can fantasize well. You need to look no further than the prison system for proof.

There are those like you and I who are incapable of choosing since we are hard wired one way or the other but there are many who are quite capable of choosing and often do. You are assuming that all men are the same as you but they are not. For some men availability is a big issue.
[–]1Goomich -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'm not so sure about that.
Go to the nearest gaybar and fuck or get fucked.
I have had a number of male friends who were quite happy with men or women but tended to go with men because they were more available and less drama. For some people it is more important what is available.
Maybe they're bi?

Most men could fuck a watermelon. What we put our dicks in has a lot more to do with culture, conditioning and convention than most men like to think. Fucking an effeminate man is much more like fucking a woman than fucking either a watermelon or a fembot.

Regular men will have better options available to them since they will be priced up due to low supply and hi demand
Uber betas who MGTOW and remove themselves from the marriage game because of VR use will price themselves out of the marriage game and thus cause more millennial women to freak out even farther.
The rest of desirable men will also use VR just to check it out and now women will have that much more competition and ideals to keep up with.
Once the Nvidia GTX 1080s fall below $399 ... get your popcorn ready: dis gon be good
As a PC enthusiast...I'd say it'll be GTX 1580 or beyond before our technology gets to that level.

Starting from GTX 970 can handle VR today.
1080's and Titan X's do that much better.
Clearly you'll want non-tearing SLI (which 2016 Titans now have) to take advantage of minimum 4K @ 90fps for each eye while remaining in sync
Tech is there, it's just a matter of money for mass adoption.

I think you're right regarding flat screens at the standard distance on a desktop.
But vr is different, resolution has a much higher impact, for reasons i haven't read enough about. there, you need every pixel you can, and you can see them, with today's tech.
While on a pc monitor, 4K tech is only a gimmick made to push people to buy new graphic cards. Nobody needs 4k resolution on a standard sized screen. Even 2k is too much already.

[–]jcrpta 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I don't think anyone's really claiming otherwise.
The thrust of the argument, as far as I can gather, is this:
Over the course of the last century, feminism has been busy throwing spanners in the works at every opportunity with little or no thought as to the consequences. Between no-fault divorce, false rape accusations, alimony and child support, frankly, sex is starting to look like a pretty dangerous thing for a man to be doing.
But what if the men who form the 80% (and let's face it, most men are fully aware they're in this 80%, even if they're not aware of the reasons) could get sexual release without all the baggage that comes with a relationship? No risk of divorce rape, no risk of false rape allegations, no alimony, no child support?
[–]TightMouthLarry 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Western society has suppressed this in favour of a status quo that encourages monogamous LTRs and enshrines them in marriage, providing stability for the women and at least some sex for the 80% of the men who would otherwise be getting none at all. thousands of men not getting laid is downright dangerous.

I suspect virtually all marriages end up with dead bedrooms tbh. Even so, men have a variety of outs, including affairs, hookers, porn, (regular) video games, drugs, drinking etc.
Will VR porn be a game changer? If it turns out to be that great, I wouldn't be surprised if men as a whole say "fuck society", stop going to work altogether, and just hide in the matrix...
[–]jcrpta 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A few thoughts that occur:
The "fun", if you like, comes when getting a sexual release through VR becoming socially acceptable. If that ever happens.... hoo boy.
[–]Magnum256 13 points14 points15 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It'll be nothing but upside when it happens. Most of these beta bux don't even "love" the woman they're with, they just tolerate the situation for a wet hole to fuck once in awhile. If they can replace that with a semi-realistic/lifelike experience through VR I think many will, and be much happier for it.
The real losers will be those low quality women, the hardcore feminists, bitches, fatties, who have, so far, always been able to find some sad beta to tie down. Once there's less of those betas on the market, and the high SMV guys don't want anything to do with them, they'll have very few options. I'm really looking forward to this, it's a kind of karmic justice in many ways against the liberal feminist "progress" over the last 5-10 years.
Might all sound a bit far fetched but I don't doubt there'll be some serious social implications at the very least once the VR stuff really goes mainstream. (Maybe a bit off tangent, but just look at the social implications of something like Pokemon Go over the few short weeks since its release. If the barrier of entry and price point are reasonable enough I would expect a similar phenomenon occurring with VR, but on an exponentially larger scale)
[–]Newbosterone 51 points52 points53 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Guess what? Diminished beta bux opportunities won't matter.
For the last 52 years (in America), the role of beta bux has already been usurped by Uncle Sam.
The social stigma around an unwed woman having a child has vanished. Except in upper middle class and some traditionalist immigrant communities, it has become the norm.
Most 'churchian' congregations have become thoroughly Blue Pill. The focus is on the sinful man who led a loving woman astray, and 'Christian' charity for heroic single moms, not on proscribing sex outside of marriage.
It has become socially acceptable to live on welfare for women, especially heroic single mothers. When the cost of welfare became too high, politicians used the court system to directly task 'the man responsible'. Broad definitions of paternity are used to create a responsible man if necessary. (In my state, you must challenge paternity in the first two years in most cases; however, a woman can what up to 23 years to claim it!). This is all justified "in the best interest of the child", although it is women who benefit most.
[–]FreeRadical5 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women still really want validation however. That service provided by beta men will be severely reduced.
[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I welcome it.
Modern women place such a high price on their sexuality that sooner or later, something is going to come along that meets that need at a much lower price and risk to the buyer.
This will now force them to maybe actually become decent people again, rather than the ego-driven narcissists who feel that they should be worshiped because they exist and are female.
In the meanwhile, they can scissor each other and cry on Tumblr for all I care.

maybe this will spark a generation of Herbivore men
Read that. Fuck me, up to 70% of Japanese men consider themselves herbivores?
Now I think about it, that makes a lot of sense. There probably are that many men in the world who would happily give up on women tomorrow if they could get their rocks off some other way. Even if it is basically advanced masturbation.
A mischievous part of me wonders what the women think of all this. Torn between "well, I wouldn't want to fuck most men anyway" and "where are the good men?!".... maybe I've become bitter but I'm having trouble feeling sympathy.
[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
How women think about it is dependant on if they are pre or post wall...
Pre-wall think the former (I wouldn't fuck those losers if you paid me).. post wall women think the latter (where are all the good men?).
I know what I thought as a foreigner as I was in Japan. So incredibly easy, even though I've heard that a lot of japanese women think the same way, that clearly wasn't my experience. So their response would definitely be "I wouldnt fuck most men anyway"

Foreigner = exotic choice. There's some evidence to suggest that people often do better in a foreign country.

The glorious guys at MSI decided we need to wear our computers in a backpack to power the graphics for our VR helmets.
Present VR-helmets are not able to deliver good enough graphics. It can't be streamed either because of the latency. Remember gamers will buy a 144Hz monitor as a upgrade to their 120Hz monitor. We're talking split-second differences.
I can't imagine any battery that could power that backpack for any meaningful amount of time.

Not really. You have LIPO and Li-Ion of various types. What's really advancing is the reduction of semiconductor power consumption; especially GPUs. The Nvidia GTX 1080 can do several times what previous GTX GPUs over the last several generations could do with a lot less power. The days of 1000W power supplies in consumer systems are over.
There will be lap tops, or back tops?, that can go for 10 hours doing what work stations did seven years ago.
[–]loddfavne 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think you're spot on about power consumption. Both nVidia and AMD will have more power-efficient cards coming up. But, on the 10 hours operating-time I think you might be wrong. It seems like newer devices need more charging than ever. I have a couple of gadgets charging while I write this.
[–]Chavagnatze 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I am wrong about battery life.
iPads can run for 10 hours on ~8800mAh LiPo batteries.
Mobile versions of the newest GPUs, (GeForce GTX 965M right now at 28nm) will be down at the 30W TDP level (2.5A @ 12V) (16-nm). a 16 or 20 Ah 18V battery could push a 40W device (30W GPU + 10W Misc) for 4 to 5 hours.
A 40Ah battery currently weighs 14lbs.
Wait...
Why do you need a battery for a VR headseat, back top, and Real Touch?

I have a suspicion about the uniquely Japanese phenomenon of "herbivore" men. (While the west has MGTOW or whatever, it's not as popular as in Japan)
Asians have the highest spatial intelligence of all racial groups, and men have higher spatial intelligence as a gender.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Japanese men were able to simply imagine the act of sex much more fully and vividly than African or Caucasian men.
Why only Japan and not other Asian countries? Japan is the only Asian country to have hit the high income bracket (while Korea is developed, it is still at the GDP level of eastern euro countries like Poland/Slovakia/etc.)

"Given the shitty economic / life prospects for lots of young men these days" Is that not the reason drugs exist? VR is rather like a drug but is better. It is an escape from a dreary world into a new, and much better, reality just like taking drugs. The advantages are obvious. Long term much cheaper, better "fix" I would imagine and totally controllable to the experience you want. No health risks and no interaction with shady dealers. As with drugs the popularity will depend on the quality and as the quality improves the number of men using it will increase. Women and drug dealers will be priced totally out of the market. Women will have to offer more to get any kind of attention at all. Like a real marriage contract that is enforceable to a mutual agreement. That would be a good start for sure.
This is a very temporary technology. Eventually there will be a technology which enables you to plug your brain directly into a virtual world not unlike the Matrix where you can be fucking AI whores and to your brain it will seem 100% real. Likewise in this AI world you could also take a different body to yours, to your brain it will all feel very real.

It took me the longest time to understand why women haven't lashed out much harder against pornography. Oh sure, there are some groups on the far right and far left who oppose smut, but in general women seem to accept and even tacitly support porn use. I think there are two reasons for this.
The first is that they understand that fake sex is not nor ever will be as good as real sex. There is such a difference between porn and having incredible sex with a woman. You can have a quick fap and squirt one out, or you can hold onto a woman through a bucking orgasm. There's just no comparison. No matter how good VR porn will be, BBs and AFs will still want flesh-and-blood women.
The second reason is this: women like porn too. Not as much as guys do. But chicks will watch smut and get off to it as well. Women are filthy; but they have to decide a guy has a high enough SMV to reveal how filthy.
Despite both these reasons, I think there will be an eventual backlash by women against porn. Women might watch porn too, but nowhere near as much as men, and since it's easier for them to get the real thing, it's easier for them to give up the fake. And while porn isn't as good as the real thing, if the real thing is just too much effort to get, then porn is the next best thing. It's not so much that porn will get better, it's that girls will get shittier. Women will eventually just push themselves to a rough corner of the market.
For TRP, I'd just say get off porn. I realized the other day when talking to a girl who was kinda average-looking that I'd rather go home and fap than make any move on her. And that's a scary thought.
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It took me the longest time to understand why women haven't lashed out much harder against pornography.
I had an Asian girlfriend before who tried to convince me that masturbation would cause physical decline or even kill me. :D
Women don't understand the male sex drive as they're not very visual creatures and purely receptive. They also underestimate how many men watch it and how frequently they masturbate. I presume most think that porn is only something low SMV guys watch that they want nothing to do with anyway.
It only blows up in their face when their boyfriends prefers jerking off to porn (as in my case) because they're horrible lays and then the shaming starts.

A close contact of mine is a developer and got an early release of the HTC Vive a few months ago. The first moment I tried it, I was floored. Within seconds I blurted out, "This will change the world. Human beings will never be the same." He concurred. In fact, everyone at his company pretty much felt the same way.
The best way I can describe some of the higher-end experiences within HTC Vive is simply: Dreaming With Your Eyes Open.
When I first put on that headset, I wasn't just seeing the generation 1 tech in front of my eyes. I was seeing the future more than anything else. And don't get me wrong. This first generation tech is already impressive as hell. Way more impressive than the first incarnation of the World Wide Web or the first iPhone. But I think that once the novelty wears off after a few weeks of use, people will mostly be seeing the flaws: pixellation, limited field of view, uncomfortable headset, tethered cabling, etc., etc. All those factors will definitely stall wide-scale implementation of VR for the first 5 years or so.
But all of the flaws will be quickly diminished. Everyone, and I mean everyone who works in the field of VR, has a common vision. We've all seen The Matrix. We've all been weened on a common science fiction vision of the future. All the developers I've talked to are now hard at work fanatically trying to bring that vision to life ASAP. Billions of dollars of capital is rapidly being poured into one VR venture after another.
Within 10 years the vast majority of us will be "plugged in" for at least 5-8 hours per day. We will be putting on comfortable headsets, slightly larger than a pair of sunglasses. And we will be experiencing worlds in a way not much different than the Holodeck from Star Trek, albeit with much more limited tactile feedback. But just think of that for a minute. Think of the potential (and the dangers). And yes, virtual sex will be part of that world. All it takes is a relatively small device with a series of "realistic, lubricated holes" and that feels somewhat fleshy to the touch. The visuals from the headset will do the rest. In some ways VR sex might even be better than the real thing, as the types of bizarre experiences possible are only limited by the imagination of the developers. So if you think porn addiction is a problem today, tomorrow it will be off the charts. I wouldn't be surprised if the government steps in with one draconian censorship measure after another...
I also predict that VR is truly The Last Medium.
The evolution was: stone tablets, print, radio, tv, internet, smartphones and it all ends with VR. From here on out, humans will simply be improving VR, year after year, for centuries to come. Eventually it will literally be The Matrix, with people permanently plugged in, one way or another; Whether that means a chip in the brain or humans in suspended animation with a cable plugged into their heads. Why bother with the real world when you can live in an alternate reality where one has the powers of an Olympian God?
Strange times ahead!
[–]Druidite3 points 10 years ago* [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link
Fantastic post. Thank you.
Within 10 years the vast majority of us will be 'plugged in'
Is there a chance that this is overly optimistic? I can certainly imagine it but i'll give a related example at my own expense: a few years ago I got caught up in the Bitcoin craze and thought everyone would be using digital currencies sooner or later but it never really panned out.
VR is truly The Last Medium
But VR takes place over the internet right? What if the internet is restricted to the point where VR is stunted - I think at that point a new 'medium' would be created in some way? I think about this often. The internet feels like it is slowly being clamped down upon.
[–]redzorp 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link
There is always a chance that "10 years to majority plugged in" is overly optimistic. But I would be willing to bet that this time-frame is bang on. Just look back to 2006. The iPhone did not even exist. And look at us a decade later. Smart phones are ubiquitous and have changed the world.
Of course VR, especially PC-based platforms, are cumbersome compared to smartphones. That is why I think most consumer VR 10 years from now will be smart phone based (Google DayDream), game console and Magic Leap (google these guys if you have not heard of them). PC-based VR will remain the high-end for home. And outside of the home there will be VR movies and "experiences" (google Void VR).
Global governments will clamp down on the internet but only in terms of content (heck maybe even TRP will be on the chopping block!). But internet speeds and infrastructure they will leave alone and even continue to subsidize. They want the internet. They just don't want unrestricted free speech. So VR will continue to improve at a rapid pace and, at the same time, governments will try to restrict what kind of experiences you can have in VR.
[–]Druidite 1 points1 points1 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I just googled everything you mentioned and watched a bunch of youtube videos on them as well. All I can say is wow. I was convinced before that VR would take over sooner or later but I greatly underestimated the variety of types of VR that were out there and what applications they can have. Also underestimated the amount of money, talent, and ingenuity that is currently in this area. I'm now quite sure like you are that everyone will be using VR in some form quite soon (Daydream, Magic Leap, Void, etc).
I'm still not sure about the 5-8 hours per day target (outside of people who are gaming all day or something) but I realize now I have more to learn before making any sort of accurate predictions.
I was subscribed to the vive subreddit thinking I was keeping myself up to date but it looks like I missed a bunch of stuff. I just subbed to the main virtualreality subreddit, hopefully a better place for keeping up.
[–]redzorp 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, things are moving fast.
5-8 hours per day would include AR (like Magic Leap) so people will essentially be using AR to work. With Magic Leap, you can put on the glasses and see a dozen computer monitors floating in front of you (if you want that many) while still seeing the real world.
Of course there will also be people who will work with AR during the day, and then spend another 5-8 hours in VR after work. Right now we spend hours browsing static web pages and a few videos. But how cool would it be to instead "virtually teleport" to interesting places?
For example, instead of merely reading a Wikipedia article about Mount Everest. Why not don your VR headset and actually go there. In the future we will be doing that. Actually...you can do that TODAY! And it's breathtaking, even with Gen 1 technology:
http://uploadvr.com/everest-vr-review-breathtaking/
This is all very exciting stuff. And I don't use that word lightly as I am usually a very reserved person.

[–]redzorp 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Can someone play pro football in VR or participate in massive battlefields?
[–]redzorp 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I am not as much into gaming these days but there are already some generation 1 games that give a taste of sports and battlefields. Check out some of the game reviews on Uploadvr.com
I played a few games on the HTC Vive and again, I was totally astonished. They vary a lot in quality. But the better ones create the illusion of complete immersion. It's not just some tepid version of 3D that you see "over there." Instead, you are actually inside the world and can look all around - up, down, in front, behind - with an amazing illusion of depth. I played an early version of the Brookhaven Experiment, a zombie game demo and it was nuts! I am not one to scare easily and I felt my heart starting to pound. The creatures looked like they were right there, all around me. More importantly, I clearly saw, in just that one simple game, just how mind-blowing the future is going to be.
Once the resolution reaches 16K per eye and we have some basic haptic feedback suits, people won't want to leave VR. Whether that is a good thing or a nightmare will be the subject of debate for decades to come I think.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think you're all fucking delusional if you think this is really going to make a noticeable difference.
1) The guys who decide to opt out of the SMP for this will be the guys who don't get any already.
2) Getting women has always been more about the conquest and the psychological turn on rather than the physical stimulation. If stimulation and sensation was really that important, we'd all have fleshlights and exclusively jerk off with lube.
3) This will be taboo as fuck and further condemned by the liberal feminist agenda. Women leaving the SMP to get to know their vibrators better? You go girl! Men leaving the SMP to dive into VR with a silicon doll? What a fucking creepy weirdo! Get back here and provide for a fatty for life like you're supposed to!
4) By the time this becomes even mildly mainstream your biggest concern will be whether or not you can take viagra along with your blood pressure medication.
Basically, not only will this not affect our generation (not due to the technology, but due to slow rates of adoption as a viable alternative to the SMP), but the guys it will affect the most will be the ones who already don't get any. The net effect of this will be that the bottom 3% of women (massive land whales) will be missing their bottom 3% of men as providers, and the top 97% will continue fucking guys way above their pay grade until they're ready to get a free ride for life from some beta they're upset about having to settle for.

But where will they find the betas if they're all doing VR?
The japanese "herbivore" have been pushing the vr sex robot technology especially hard. Women have been freed of their gender roles due to advancements in medicine and birth control - giving freedom from their functions. While AI, robotics, and VR will eventually do the same for men. There really is a technogy singularity coming and it will make the 90s internet pale in comparison. This may be 1000x greater in scope.

I'm still gonna go after real pussy, and there certainly will be less competition as VR porn becomes the norm, but it's nice to know I could always have immersive sex with a HB 10 without leaving the house. Just like escorts, VR Porn could help with abundance mentality.
As it stands now, I try to stay away from porn as it desensitizes you to the real thing. But VR porn could be a different story, as it will feel like the real thing, so less chance of it fucking with your brain.

Resistance would mean offering a better alternative.
Some ideas on how The Red Pill can benefit from VR:

Waking up to reality is always better... even when it's painful... because... well... it's living in the real world.
When reality is defined by the measure of happiness you are doomed.

it'll only be a matter of time when VR porn gets combined with fleshlights or silicone dolls
Whats strange to me is I see so few companies putting any effort into it. Do you know of companies currently investing in this arena? I know the big porn companies are jumping on it with VR porn, but I haven't seen investment in the simulation side, using computer models that can be interacted with in real time instead of actors. Seems like there will be a lot of money in that down the line.

Nice to see this upvoted. When I said it a year go I got downvoted to hell. Good to see that TRP is finally recognizing the effect of VR and sex bots is going to have on the feminine imperative.
It's going to be fun to hear the "where have the good men gone" cries in a few years.

I think you're overlooking how easily betas are controlled by shaming them. When people tell them that a real man doesn't play VR they are going to buy into it. I see it as more of an offer to the mgtow types.
[–]Venenarium 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I disagree. While I do believe that VR porn will be fantastic, you forget that there is a lot more to having a real-life girlfriend. For example, the social validation, which many men strive for.
In other words: VR porn will be really realistic, but the society will still consider you to be a loser without a real-life GF. Men will want to feel validated, so not much will change.

I got the point you're trying to make.
Always VR is a long long way from being taking serous. I bought a Samsung Galaxy at tmobile and gave me a free vr headset, used it once and hate it.. I get motion sickness. If vr can't solve that problem the whole thing will be at a stand still
[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I have never tried the smartphone VR, so I can't comment, but no motion sickness for me with the HTC Vive and I have played games with quite a bit of motion.
It's really freaky to look at your hands and to see VR hands with guns in them for example that are just where your hands are due to the controllers.
They'll probably make some gloves in the future as well.
[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I've tried quite a few headsets and in my experience the VIVE will spoil all of the other ones for you , it is in my opinion the best headset and i've had it shatter mine and seen it shatter others notions of what VR is and can be. Moving around the volume and using the controllers as actual hands makes it a different experience altogether.
[–]Pathfinder24 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There's considerable technology behind the non phone variants that is absent from the phone ones.
[–]rumovoice 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Currently VR requires a high end PC to run. A phone has only a tiny fraction of that power so it's no surprise that you have motion sickness and no immersion with it.
[–]omnicidial 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not comparable to a vive. No motion sickness.

Honestly, it is too soon to tell how it'll grow but pretty much I agree on how it'll create a more flux of anti-social people who simply won't go out and all have low SMV but act like 10's.

VR is very cool and I see it changing the future of gaming. I wouldn't be surprised that in 10 years VR gaming is completely mainstream.
So far the only VR experience I've had was the PlayStation VR demo at a Best Buy. That was enough to convince me and I'm currently saving money to build a new gaming computer + headset.
That said, I really can't understand why a guy would choose a machine fuck over an actual woman. If a guy can't get a woman, then just get a hooker. Of course the US is screwed up and prostitution is only legal in Nevada.
Still it will be nice to have less competition from other guys if VR porn does lead to them checking out of the game.
[–][deleted] 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Major developers will not touch it as they want to sell a family friendly product. This will mean no x-rated content. Look at Playstation and xbox, there is basically no pornographic content and those platforms have been around forever. GTA had hookers and strippers but even that was very tame compared to the film industry. In order to produce high quality content a big budget is needed and developers will not be able to sell their product into a mainstream market. We will not see any sexual VR for a long time, a sex robot is more likely to hit the market first.
The Witcher 3 would like to have a word with you.

This very cool, but just the tip of the iceberg. What y'all need to understand is that everything you experience, everything you feel, is nothing but electricity in your brain. We will be able to manipulate that in our lifetime. Now THAT will be true VR sex. It will be exactly like the real thing, or rather, it will be the real thing. When that happens, that is all she wrote my friends. Women lose all power, it becomes a man's world once again.
Why take shit from a 6, when you can bang different 10's with perfect personalities 3 times/day? And you don't have to cuddle with them or listen to their bullshit afterwards! Again, for those luddites who claim they'd instead prefer "the real thing," I recommend you open your mind... what I am talking about is the real thing. It's electricity.
That said if y'all think the feminazis and SJWs or the world are gonna sit by and let VR sex happen without a fight, fat chance. They will fight it to the death.

I really think that you think too lowly of people. Any man would know of his prospects and would understand the situation he is in. Any man under the circumstances which you've provided would know for sure the dire situation that they are in, and would do whatever it takes to crawl out of it... At least thats how I feel.
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
The situation the average guy is in: Bluepill brainwashing, no female interest, low to mid income, no idea how to earn more or get more female interest.
Especially in western Europe being overly muscular is associated with being a low IQ prole and mid to high income earners would never consider getting swole due to the stigma and vastly underestimate how much of a difference it makes.
[–]2 Senior Endorsed Contributorvengefully_yours 13 points14 points15 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Can attest to having muscle means most people assume you're mildly retarded. People are always surprised when I know vastly more than they do, and can explain it in great detail so a five year old can understand it.
Once they find that I'm not only an order of magnitude stronger, but I'm tens of points higher in IQ, with the ability to put it all into reality, they get very defensive. Happens all the time in real life, and here on reddit.
The weak fucks will tell themselves they're smarter than they are, and rationalize that they don't need to get bigger. They will flock to this tech and check out in droves, provided they can hide it from everyone. They'll still know they're a loser, but the hamster will do it's job.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I am in CS and was very interested in upcoming VR. But I think it will be the same as 3D movies - at first it will be a lot of "uuuuh" and "aaaaaa", but after a while people won't use it anymore because it won't be able to be widely used. Remember how 3D glasses are heavy to wear, give people headaches, etc. ... 3D went to shit because of it. I think VR has the same problems, plus all those cables are really in the way of immersion. Don't forget you need bigger room.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
3D glasses are more of a gimmick.
Try to HTC Vive some time if you have the chance. Backpacks fix the cable issue, but make the computer a lot more expensive.
So beside carrying a helmet I must wear a backpack too? Seems like it solves and issue by providing a new one.
It's not comfortable, because it's the first generation. If VR stays and we get new, better generation, then it will be like OP is saying. But for now, only the biggest geeks will use it at home. This is my prediction anyway.
I barely notice the backpack even though it weights 8lbs or so.
It just adds additional freedom of movement, which you don't really need with VR porn.
I think the only people who will buy into this market are omegas with no hope. That being said, there's still plenty of money to be made and an ever steady demand with the amount of single mothers who don't know how to raise boys giving birth to future neck beards.
The vast majority of men will be shamed by women into not buying into this experience unless maybe they had some discreet way of offering it. Most men aren't purchasing blow up dolls or real dolls because of the "loser" "creep" "weirdo" that will attach to their reputation if someone finds out they're fucking a doll.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Despite not wanting to admit it, men, like women crave a sexual and romantic partner. Just having some visual stimulus to get your rocks off and then going back to real life isn't enough to keep betas away from women. They will desire conversation, someone to do activities with, a person to share their sorrows with. Since betas usually have no active friends outside of WoW they will place this role on their romantic partner. Vr cant offer that. We are all human and we are all social creatures.
[–]calibrateThought -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Neither VR nor sexbots will make a dent in the sexual marketplace, and if they do - you better believe the femtards will lobby hard for them to be made illegal "these devices encourage objectification!".
[–]bluedrygrass -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't know, i'm vey skeptical about those things having significative impact on society.
At the end of the day, vr is still virtual, and not even very realistic. Betas will keep trying to secure a slut.
The only real change could be made by near-real feeling androids, but we're some 40-50 years far from it.
[–]TheBeardedMarxist 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We are way closer than 50 years. Just look how far computers have come in the last 50 years. Moore's law is the shit.
Isn't Moore's Law dying?
I think VR is mostly hype, the future is more likely to be something like Judge Dredd megacities with hundreds of millions of climate refugees than some Kurzweilian wet dream.
[–]99_Problem -2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Meh.
As a few others said already: the only guys that will forever drop-out of the SMP in favor of VR technology, are guys that aren't (never were) competitive in the SMP anyway. A woman might have a relative or weird co-worker that's a VR shut-in, but other than that, women in general won't even notice.
The guys here wringing their hands and imagining some kind of Matrix-style existence are sub-beta lunatics with a poor understanding of the most basic physical principles. You can't get something from nothing. You need mass to create, build, and sustain things like VR systems and human bodies. Somebody has to do the work.
Point is: go ahead and plug-in and tune-out forever. The world will spin on without you, the third-world can sustain our population for awhile yet to come (they can't afford VR, anyway).
[–]1PantsonFire1234 -2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Except that Beta men look for romantic partners and get easy Oneitis. They don't want to fuck so much like Alpha guys. Even lower tier Dark Triad men (like Narcissists) require real human stimulant.
So women will still hold the monopoly on these people. Real Alpha's though will settle in their groove and become less inclined to fuck low value women.
[–]--Visionary-- -2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
How on god's green earth did 200 comments get posted about this on TRP, and no one made the most obvious prediction:
They will make it a crime for men to use this once it hits that "inflection" point of beta male en masse drop out.
If I had to guess, it'd be by the classic extension of the definition of rape/sexual assault (i.e. "when men have sex with sex bots that are quasi-sentient, that makes him either a rapist on the spot or more likely to rape other women so he must be stopped"). Watch for swaths of "academic literature" reach a cacophony ostensibly "proving" such a point.
And, as we all know, Beta males will generally comply in often the most emasculating and humiliating ways the moment someone threatens them with state power until there's an absolutely epic situation brewing (like someone in government sets off a nuclear bomb and destroys manhattan or something).
The ENTIRE purpose of modern gynocentric western civilization is to ensure that women have some form of productive beta bux, whether by state force or making it impossible for such males to be sexually gratified outside of making a real life woman's life easier, regardless of whether she "deserves" such absurdly wonderful treatment. If there's some disturbance of the force that starts making swaths of beta men reduce their production because they're busy wanking to this new technology, and the average woman doesn't like it, you can bet your ass they'll make some part of that activity a crime.
