Don't message at all. If she shows don't bring it up. You continue as normal and she can explain herself later. If not, hookup with someone else. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

It doesn't matter, non-factor. Somebody out there finds your attractive, and somebody doesn't. The most you can hope for is to be comfortable in your own skin and approach anyone you find attractive with the assumption that you have a shot. Ofcourse you can work on your body, your style, your mannerisms. That's all fine and dandy, but you have to do it for yourself.

He's literally at home all day. Do whatever, go for a walk, but you need to be able to atleast approach/run into some girl somewhere.

Definitely read in public & go to a gym instead of working out in your apartment (as per /u/Altwolf89's advice. I'm going to add: Attend public lectures Volunteer with groups youre interested in (political, social programs, library, gardens, food bank) Join social clubs (hiking, rock climbing, HIIT, hobby-based) Basically, you suck at meeting people. Before you even consider getting laid you need to fix this.

"Sorry you feel that way, but I respect that you're looking for something serious. I hope you're well and you find what you're looking for!" Honestly man, don't sweat it. If she's into you she'll come back after a message like that. If not, onto the next one - basic tenet of casual dating/hooking up. Also, try not to call people sluts or derogatory terms like that. #1 - Girls that like casual sex & don't put up too many barriers are a casual dater's best friend. Without them the whole process wo…

I refuse to do online dating because it just wastes time and I don’t have much luck Drop this, download Tinder, or stop complaining. Basically, at the crux of the issue if you're an introvert who thinks he's good at being social but hasn't spent enough time doing it to recognize he has a lot to work on. You're going to have to be forward and initiate all the time. None of this introvert stuff - I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but it's reality. You wont find single people at home...unless you down…

In summary I feel like all my strengths are only relevant to girls looking for relationships and not anything casual, but I’m not sure if I’m right or wrong I'm going to say you're wrong. For example, does being well paid or having a high status job help you hook up even if there is no expectation that the girl will be with you long enough to benefit from those things? It absolutely does. A causal partner isnt always about sex - oddly enough. It's about novelty, and excitement, and even emotions…

So, to summarize, you don't know why girls would want casual sex with you? Is this stemming from the fact that you struggle to attract casual partners?

...Mate, I don't think you understand the concept of a shit-test. A shit test is an artificial impediment someone's putting up because they're still not fully comfortable with the idea of sleeping you with, it's usually some sort of evasiveness, or sarcastic comments, stuff like that. Your mom & sister are not thinking about sleeping with you, I hope. They may just be commenting on your looks, family will be blunt about that stuff. Or maybe they're just being mean spirited, who knows. But like, …

That’s because I valued kindness and transparency in approaching women. Believe it or not, it’s ok to say you don’t want something serious. It’s ok to say you like them as friends and you like to have sex with them, but it’s not ok to lie about your intentions to get laid. I like this, a lot. It's not said enough here. It should be in the side-bar. Seduction, and by extension this sub, shouldn't advocate reducing women to a number and treating them poorly. I've had a lot more success by being an…

Why are you trying to be an asshole if that's not who you are? You're better off just working on your confidence and people can judge you as a decent guy or an asshole at their discretion. You won't care which side you end up on because external validation isn't part of the equation at that point.

I think you're missing the forest for the trees here. They may have enjoyed the sex, but because sex is typically (on the surface) reserved for partners the most natural response to someone skipping step 1 & 2 and going straight for sex is that the person isn't interested in steps 1 & 2. ie, skipping the relationship building bit and going straight for sex.

Say things with purpose. You're telling a story to convey XYZ. You're nodding because you want to show you agree, etc. This isn't a seduction thing as much as a social interaction thing. Sometimes you say nothing to convey that you don't have a position, or to leave the last word they said in the air. Speak with purpose.

I'd lean towards no. Misogynists may handle some situations with a less intense emotional response if they genuinely don't care about a women opinions or attention, it's one idea I suppose. But, if I had to guess, I'd say that misogynists actually respond intensely with anger or frustration because women - who they don't value - are not responding positively to their advances or playing games. I'm not sure about other guys on this sub but I think a lot of pickup is just about building comfort. P…

Just a small observation, if she was self-conscious about rock climbing I don't think push-pull is a good idea. Just kinda laugh off any mistakes and encourage her to try again, make a few self deprecating jokes, etc. Basically, build comfort. As for kino, just lightly touch which muscle groups she should be focusing on. It should have been more "I'm teaching you how to climb" and less "we're on a date and also climbing". Just my 2 cents.

Also 26, not a virgin. If you can afford to ditch the flip-phone and get a smart phone, then you can start using dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge which are a really easy way to connect with people who think you're attractive. They have their issues (for sure) but generally it's a decent and popular medium for meeting people. If you cannot afford a smart phone you can try dating websites (Plenty of Fish, for example) I'm not sure what you look like aesthetically, but committing to the gym f…

Ignore picking up for a second - this has nothing to do with that. A rejection isn't about you, not really. Someone didn't express interest in you, that's all you know. There's a thousand reasons that could be the case, and you don't have control over all of them. So why worry about what you can't change? You're going to have to learn to like yourself. It's hard, you can't do it all the time - especially if you're prone to anxiety or depression. But in general just do something every day that ma…

You’re writing in English, I suggest you write in German if you’d like to follow the grammatical rules of German and not English. It’s just a head up, typically people won’t read a single paragraph as long as your post. I take a lot of this advice in stride. I try to say “yes” to as many things as possible, I try to take risks…

To be clear, you have a group of friends and you'd like to bring in some girls. I would think about going about it differently. Take the risk, either say what how feel/what you want or lay the usual moves. There's nothing particularly different about it, except for one thing - the risk that your friendship could end. That's a very real risk, you just have to measure it out. Ask yourself "If I make a move and I'm rejected could I move on without being too upset about losing a friend."? If the answer is yes, make the move. There's always a chance that you'll stay friends even if nothing happens. It could not work out, and …

Well, yes and no. You may just become more used to being around women intimately if you get laid - so it’s less nerve wrecking when you try less intimate actions like approaching a girl, or leaning in for a kiss, shit like that. But also, you’re not going to magically become less awkward over night if you have sex. The only thing that will work (outside of approaching women) is having tons of platonic interaction with women and men. Join clubs, go for coffee, be out in public.

I'm not sure if the other guys have mentioned this but look for the silence. Almost every date I go on there's a bit of a silence after some joking around. She'll sorta look at you and glance away, maybe she'll take a sip of her drink or fiddle with something. This is actually a good thing, it means there's tension. If you're right beside her just saying something "hey", she'll look at you, make some eye contact, and slowly move in for the kiss. It's kinda nerve wrecking though, so if you're ner…

Sometimes when it's not really clear I end up asking. Like, sometimes you're on a date and the sexual tension is off the hook, so you're not nervous about leaning in for the kiss. Other times, like this "quiet girl", I say something like "I'm thinking about kissing you, how do you feel about that" or "Do you mind if I kiss you now?". It works most of the time.

I'm going to suggest something that I think fits outside the usual mold of advice you'll get here (gym, socialize, say "yes" to everything, find hobbies, etc). I want to be clear that the "usual advice" is very good, and will work if you commit to it. Buy a journal (maybe just a small ringed note-pad with a nice cover) and a nice pen. Every night write a paragraph to a page about your day and how you feel. Be specific. Then rank your day out of 10. Don't be afraid of 0's, and 1's, or 9's and 10s…

Ok mate. You can definitely read a book on how to talk to girls, and it may help. Personally, I think what you need is just to put yourself out there and keep talking to girls. Don't just talk to them in hopes of getting laid either. They're people, with interesting lives & stories. Just go out and get to know them. You'll make a few female friends, get better at picking up on social cues, and eventually get better at talking to girls when you're actually interested.

These questions are always the worst. Attractive, alright, that's basically a crap shoot, wherever you go there's attractive and not attractive people. Intelligence is subjective and there's multiple kinds of intelligence. Do you like women who enjoy the arts? Go to live shows and gallery openings. Politically engaged? If this is a decently sized city, then there's usually going to be some sort of events going on. Some sort of social activity. Sure. There is often more to do than trudge out to bars. But again, if the area you live in is small, then that's the issue, more than the seasons. It's not about standards, you don't have those yet. You're holding them to a fictional cookie-cutter ideal you have of the perfect woman. It's not fair to them and it's not fair to you. Put yourself out there and see what these woman are about and what they're like, be vulnerable to disappointment and you might be suprised. Then you can start developing standards based on what you've experienced.
/r/seduction21/08/16 01:58 PM

Dont "lower your standards", but there's a couple things at play here. What you have to tend with is a idealized (fictional?) concept of what you want in someone. Often it's expressed as the girl needing to be funny, smart, witty blonde, into science, etc. The problem is that you're either basing these characters on some previous infatuation you had (and so you never really say that persons flaws) or some other incomplete picture (a friends gf, a celebrity, fictional characters, something you re…

I remember this one instance where the three of them were drunk in my car and one of them was saying how she wanted to fuck someone real bad. I was sober so I figured it wouldn't have been wise for me to make any moves on her at the time anyway. Usually they seek out sex when they are drunk though. Pretty typical pattern: Get drunk, want sex, repeat. And they usually only wanna get laid when they are at least a little bit tipsy. Listen, I'm not sure you see yourself as a sexual person.

This. Then there's the whole confidence bit. If you want to rate yourself on a 1-10 scale, then by all means go for it, but effectively all you've done is limited yourself to certain women you've ranked as similarly or less attractive than yourself. Just work on yourself, do what you can to raise your confidence, and don't sweat the rest. There's always someone hotter, smarter, wittier, stronger than yourself but that doesn't mean you can't compete.

People often talk about that "questionnaire" part of a first date which can last forever. Personally, I don't mind it, because you're bringing up a few topics you can flesh our & chat more about later. Just, make sure to get past it at some point in the date. Be sure to be lively and above all have a good time.

Not really, just look for what's missing - friends. At no point did I notice him mention a solid group of friends. OP did mention that the'd generally been alone throughout highschool and the the start of University/College. What I'm picking up on here is a guy who's read every self-help book under the sun but never picked up on the fact that self-help attempts to systemize something that's fundamentally organic. Ie, OP needs friends and practice makes perfect. Stop reading.

You're somewhat overthinking this. 23M, and in my experience if you're interested in a guy you should probably just take your shot. It's been stated over and over on reddit that guys adore women who take the initiative, I suggest doing that. Depends on what you want out this. If it's sex, then you invite him over to watch a movie. It it's a date you want, just mention a restaurant you really like and tell him that he should come with you on X-day.

First, you need to look at the bright side of all this, which is that you came out of your shell and asked her out! That takes confidence, and you should be proud of yourself. Don't be so ashamed of yourself over this. Second, I have some experience with this. She wasn't a coworker, but she's a close friend's roommate, so I see her fairly often. I decided to ask her out and was gently gently rejected. Honestly, the first thing I did the next time I saw her was act completely normal. We still han…

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the advice is more-so meant stop people from shooting themselves in the foot before they go out with a girl for the first time, and/or stop guys from trying to pickup girls via text instead of meeting them in person. You can probably text a girl more frequently, and certainly flirtatiously, after you've already hooked up. Also, I have a hunch that these girls don't like that you're waiting so long to text them after they spend the night.

You're going to have to do the things that make you uncomfortable. I imagine the thought of going in the kiss completely terrifies you, because if you mess up there's a chance that your relationship will breakdown. You need to be ok with that and go for it anyways. Granted, don't just go for the kiss out of the blue, there's obviously a way to go about it without being a complete fuckup.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I think the easiest way to go about it is to only use the "abundance mentality" thing after you've already struck out. When you're in the middle of talking to one of the girls you really like it shouldn't be something you're thinking about. Atleast not in the capacity you're currently thinking about it.

When you work on being social you're also, in a way, working on your seduction skills. Not really. You seemingly opened fine, and got conversation going with the friends line, but there's so many factors that might have come into play. Based on my assumptions/experience I'd say that you're focusing too much on saying something interesting and not enough on generating an emotional response. Again, I have no idea how you went about your conversation, so it's hard to give real advice.
/r/seduction17/04/15 02:37 PM

Just go do it, everything else is an excuse. Find a way to start up a conversation with everyone and anyone. Don't discriminate, if they're a human being capable of conversation then talk to them. It'll help you in the long run. Eventually you'll run into women you might consider asking out, that's when you cast aside all doubt and do it.
/r/seduction16/04/15 11:40 PM

Ok, you're going have to think about this less about inner game/outer game then. Think about this rationally. If you ask out every girl you're into, then every girl who is receptive to your interest will accept the date. If you are selective about asking out the girls you're into, then you may miss out on the opportunity to date one of the girls you didn't ask out but was into you. So from a logical point of view, if you ask out more women, you're going to get more dates because there's a smalle…

You're going to have to reach a point where you're just ok with being rejected. I like it, it seems very human. I think there's a lot of talk about specifics in game & whatnot, but what he seems to be advocating is a case for head space and belief in one's self. You don't really need to plan out each and every step of an interaction with a girl. Just know that you can pull off whatever you want to achieve and improvise the rest. It's organic and definitely something I can buy into.

I didn't mean it as a bad thing! I'm actually a fan of it. As long as your inner game is doing well then you just need to showcase that. All that said, I think inner game and outer game are more interdependent than we like to admit sometimes.

I think a non-dateish environment is probably better. Next time I'll try going to trivia at a bar, or perhaps a show. Dinner wasn't the right call; I probably should have paid more attention to the context.

Doesn't apply to everyone. For example, you probably don't want to date the bosses daughter a month before your performance evaluation. Especially at consulting firm that worked 2 years to get into. If you're working some shitty part time job at the local grocery store, then go ahead. Nobody's going to give a fuck.

I know, it's short and sweet. There's still a feel of unresponsiveness to her though. She was doing the work at some point, now I am. I've made sure the conversations are succinct. I may just let this go. I have to see her often so if anything I could ask her out in person again, but I think I'll drop it. No use crying over spilled milk.

I'm in the same boat. Fuck. It's annoying, there were some more complicating factors in my particular circumstance (she just split with her long term bf) but still. It came down to me not escalating and allowing any tension/attraction I had built up during the approach go to shit. Now she's being a shitty texter. I guess that's that, onto the next one. Sucks, I thought this one had real potential.

"Hi, I've been in a ton of your classes and still dont know your name. I'm DukeCanada" Used this yesterday. I got her name and what classes she's taking. It was relatively easy to go from there. She seemed happy that I approached her despite the fact that she never speaks in class. Where do you see her? I'd just take my statement and modify it to fit your context.

It's a tough pill to swallow at times, but you can't allow rejection to reflect on you. I found I had to get rejected 100 times before I was truly didn't care anymore. Sometimes I didn't get farther than a simple hello, other times I wasn't rejected until the next day. The only thing in common with every rejection is that it brought me that much closer to not caring. Every rejection is a girl trying to do you a favour by teaching you a lesson. So go get rejected, it's the nicest thing any girl c…

I'm just having fun with this, looking to game a little bit, and then perhaps dropping it all. There's no point in flaking on a relatively new and interesting situation. That being said, that's the first thing I did lol. I said something along the lines of "Well we're still getting drinks later, I'm more fun than those other guys anyways"

Oops, my bad. I forgot about AskSeddit. I don't think I conveyed the point that I'm still trying to game her, and was posting from that perspective. I could care less about the actual date/relationship with the girl. She's clearly not looking for anything other than a ONS or something similar. I just thought this was an interesting variable to throw into the usual game and wanted to see what seddit's take on it is. I like the "Boyfriend Destroyers" bit. It's a little bit underhanded, casual, and…

That's a valid point. She isn't. I asked what she was doing yesterday night and she mentioned she had a date. We're mostly just texting for logistics and not talking much otherwise.

I'm thinking about asking her where she went on her other date, and then taking her to the exact same places. It's cheeky, but not entirely cruel. Perhaps a little bit weird? I'm not sure. What's you're take on this.

I know absolutely nothing about you after reading this. It comes off as a little bit snobbish, but you haven't taken the time to compose adequate sentence structure. The end result is that you sorta come off as a prick. The first few sentences are really quite odd too. Without changing the meaning behind your words, I think this works better: The world is full of superficial people who make snap judgments, but I'm sure that's not you. Yeah, this. I don't think Seddit is particularly homophobic. Actually, I've seen a great deal of respect towards the gay community here. Words like "Faggot" and "Gay" used in a condescending way are at a low too. It's obviously easier for us to talk about picking up girls because it's a common experience for 90% of guys, but I wonder where the other 10% go. Is there a Gay-seddit?

This is clearly the most well thought out and under-appreciated tactic This is the most billiant tactic I have ever seen. I think the biggest mistake people make is that you assume that just because someone is in a group of friends that she is unapproachable. Honestly, just start talking to them one day. If you truly are in a program with only 30 people, then they most certainly know who you are. Striking up a conversation with the group, or even just one of them, is not objectionable at all. Talk to the group and eventually start flirting with the girl.

I guess the answer is technically two for me, but context is king in these matters. Recently I was talking to one of my classmates and we seemed to hit things off when chatting in class and texting. This was around Halloween, so naturally everyone was going to the bars that night. We were both downtown, and I invited her out. She told me she was coming but never actually showed up. Well it's a fair assumption to make, sometimes people really are busy, but more often than not they'll add something to the end of the conversation which opens up the possibility for a date. For example, if she says she cant go out on sunday because of a family get together, she'll offer tuesday night as an option instead

Seems like you missed her vibes from the get go. The second time she turned you down should have been more enough to say "fuck it" and move on. People tend to make up excuses, I wouldn't take it too personally. Saying "I dont have time" is always sort of a cope out, because if you're interested you can always make time.

Well, Canadian here. I'm not sure if I consider myself funny, but I'm pretty good at making people laugh. I find most girls respond well if you make light hearted jabs at them. Don't be condescending, and try not to be critical. Avoid self deprecating humour, because half the time they actually feel bad for you. You sorta need to gauge the person you're with though. Some people like condescending humor, others just want run off the mill jokes. If you're one of those overly sarcastic poeple, then…

I don't really think there's a threshold. I mean, there's not much that a haircut, change in clothes and maybe some working out can't fix anyways. Also, who the hell are you hanging out with? What sort of friend calls you ugly? You probably don't want to be hanging out with those people anyways because they're just keeping you down. It seems like most of your issues are rooted in self esteem, not what you look like.

You know what, don't worry about it. First, look at this. In this thread are 100 stories of women who've fallen for a guy who'm they failed to find attractive at first. Just because you're not conventionally attractive does not mean that you are not attractive. Personality is as important as physical appearance. Secondly, physical attractiveness is subjective. My best fem-friend calls me a 7.4 (whatever that means). I've had some people call me a 6 and others say I'm an 8. It's all subjective, i…

This is a slightly related side note, but I think it's still relevant. Apparently, if a girl tells you that she likes your smile at a bar, she's probably trying to get a free drink out of you. Source: Close fem-friends who manipulate men for drinks. Apparently it's a classic move.

It's honestly great when you reach this point. Be careful OP, if you become complacent you can lose this wonderful skill you've developed over the summer! I love it when you find a girl who's equally good at flirting or a girl who realizes you're flirting and plays a little bit of "hard to get". It makes it all worth while in the end. Until you meet one of your friends' girlfriends. At that point it's just best to do nothing or tell stories about your friend.

I think what you said in the first paragraph really hit home. I'm not necessarily trying to be 'alpha' though. Yeah, I'm in the same boat as OP. First date and second date are about 2 weeks apart, I was out of town for about 10 days so for the most part didn't even text her. I took the more "thoughtful" route I suppose. I bought her something from the place I went to and I'm keeping what we're doing on the second date a surprise. She still seems interested, so I don't think time between dates is necessarily a bad thing.
