My wife wants a divorce and I don't, HELP!We've been co-habitating these past 5 months and the home is now being sold. Reason we've waited is to 1) not disrupt and move the kids until end of school year and 2)I could've kicked her out or moved out myself but it's my kids' last remaining months as a "family" and by family I mean having the availability of 2 parents under the same roof. The kids' mom makes their meals. I can make it but I've stayed out of making their meals for awhile now because she was too stubborn and always criticized… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/04/19 04:11 AM
My wife wants a divorce and I don't, HELP!I'm sorry but if your wife has decided to end it and won't consider anything but divorce, then it is over. It takes 2 to make a marriage. At this point, get all the support you need - lawyers, friends, family, counseling, coping mechanisms, etc. Focus on yourself and your kids. Stop focusing on your wife. | 3 | Buckle up.You're taking the first step which is getting a lawyer asap. I'd recommend keeping an eye on all your financial accounts (banking, credit) and start documenting her actions and your interactions with her. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/03/19 02:00 AM
Need guidance/adviceIf I were in your situation, I absolutely wouldn't have felt safe if I was walking into a meeting with your soon to be ex wife's (STBXW) family. The difference between me and you is that I wouldn't have been strong enough to stay away or ignore them - so great job! Question though - are you absolutely sure the family came to take your kids out of state or was the restraining order a precaution? If it was a fact they were trying to do so, you did the right thing. It'd be nice if a divorce is amic… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/03/19 09:15 PM
how do I handle this?Actions speak louder than words. I can't tell you first hand but I've read several posts on /r/divorce from kids of divorce that they can and will see through all of the BS. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/03/19 02:44 AM
Any experience in cohabitation during the process?I'm doing it right now for the kids. Plan to sell the house and go our separate ways around April/May. School year ends mid June and according to our real estate agent, takes about 6-8 weeks to sell (list and paperwork and all). 3 months since I found out she cheated and wanted out (Nov). First month (Nov-Dec 2018) was the worst. 2.5 weeks after D-Day was our 10th anniversary. I knew every time she went out and around when she came home and it was usually to see her affair partner. I also knew t… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/02/19 12:45 AM
