Nobody "owes" anyone anything per se besides respecting their basic human rights. That said, it does get pretty tiresome to be constantly berated by people who insist we owe a million different things to women and yet we can't expect anything from them.

Beauty standards = biological differences in male and female sexuality. Rape culture I don't think exists in the west, I'm pretty skeptical of that since rape is considered about one of the most taboo things. Abortion yeah I agree with but it depends on where you live, at least there is the option of moving to somewhere with more liberal laws.

In what ways do you think women are disadvantaged? I'm not arguing that they aren't but I'm not sure what can be done socially to benefit them.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates09/01/24 03:26 AM

Roughly 90% of women benefit from them and like 10 or 20% of men, who we could call "chads" (I don't mean that in the strict way it is defined by incels but men who are high status in one way or another). In my experience most women are relatively conformist and enjoy being given special treatment and since men are always competing with each other for status we are stuck in a prisoner's dilemma scenario where men in general are losing out but there is always more reward for defection than cooper…

I haven't gotten a lot of support when I bring this up, but I think the only solution is the creation of a new male only nation-state dedicated purely to the preservation of men's rights. Since the majority of the global population is misandrist, escaping their power is a better option than trying to get them to agree with us. Since all the land on Earth is already occupied, either this will have to happen through the creation of a network state (concept pioneered by the Google entrepreneur Bala…

Tomboys are the coolest women, idk what r/mensrights is on about. It is feminine women who display the most toxic misandrist traits.

Is it really "neurosexist" to say that in general men and women have different psychological traits and leadership traits are more often associated with men? That doesn't mean there aren't outliers and that women who are natural leaders shouldn't be able to lead.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/11/23 05:15 PM

Well I hope we become a posthuman cyborg species for whom gender roles are obsolete. For the time being it seems they are an innate part of our nature so we are stuck with them even though they are not beneficial to us anymore.

Well probably most men have the theoretical ability to have sex but the difference is the effort it requires, it is ridiculously difficult compared to in the past.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/23 03:53 PM
3

Well there are no direct studies on which percentage of men care about having sex but it should be assumed that a large number of men have less ability to have sex due to men having a generally higher sex drive.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/10/23 01:14 AM

Ok first off, I specified young men because a lot of older men already got married back when we had a culture that did not encourage hypergamy to such a degree, I am talking about the population that is like 30 or younger. As far as voluntary goes, you would probably need to specify how strictly you are defining "inability to have sex". There are probably a lot of sexless men who could in theory have sex but either the women that would be available are much less attractive than them, the effort …

I think that's true too sadly. I knew a hardcore socialist SJW girl (at that time I was super far left) and she ghosted me, probably for being autistic since we never actually met and she did not know what I looked at, even though she told me before that she had dated a Nazi for a couple weeks. Tbf she didn't actually know initially but the fact that she didn't even care what his political views were is telling in and of itself. People are actually very ableist toward autistics but because people are naturally more sympathetic toward women it kind of cancels out their ableist attitudes and they won't usually make fun of them. Since ableism is considered politically incorrect by the left, they usually will come up with excuses to pretend they dislike autistic men for other reasons, although I have sometimes experienced mask off moments. Also, 2 other factors is that men usually struggle more from being autistic so it is …

The problem is that "woke" people will not let you define the concept of woke, even if you change the name. 100% of the time if you try to define it for them after they ask you what it means they will just deflect.

I think it is because of the empathy gap, meaning people care less about men psychologically, it's not that men are bad at socializing. Girls are better at sitting still and learning in the kind of environment that the education system is designed to promote, if it was optimized for boys' learning style boys would be doing better. I think we do have the ability to bond with each other, hence the concept of bromance (notice there is not an equivalent term for women, meaning if anything male frien…

What feminism says it wants to do is a good thing but it doesn't work in reality.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/08/23 09:03 AM
-4

It's more an emotional reaction against the recognition of aspects of the feminist worldview being false than feminism itself. Boys would need to not have reality framed in a confusing and misleading way to begin with, I'm not sure if it is a fixable thing if you are forced to go through these psychological alterations since the right naturally provides a sense of stability and a structured framework for seeing the world.

Can you explain what you mean by “men control access to relationships”?
/r/MenSupportMen24/05/23 12:58 PM

Gender role subversion is awesome imo, it is women who don’t like it. Look up Briffault’s Law if you don’t know about it already, it shows that it is women who make the rules about relationships. Also woke movies most of the time put down more feminine men, they don’t portray them in a positive way at all.
/r/MenSupportMen24/05/23 01:03 AM
1

I think you’re either wrong or you have a different idea of what would make a woman masculine. 99% of women still want a man who makes more money and is more assertive and stoic than them. I came to this realization by talking to many women who were supposedly progressive about gender roles and noticing the pattern that when I pressed them about their actual desires they almost always started hemming and hawing in a way that suggested to me that they were either being intentionally dishonest or …

Lol I guess I’m kinda weird for a MGTOW as I actually wish women were more masculine and am not really attracted to feminine personality traits (of course people’s definition of masculine and feminine varies). I do agree with them about all the legal issues having to do with marriage, child support, SA accusations, etc.
/r/MenSupportMen23/05/23 08:45 PM
5

I wish it too, I am a femboy leaning MGTOW type guy but it’s very frustrating that I don’t really fit in with most of them, the majority of people who would accept me are sadly feminists.

I’m glad. Good riddance to chivalry, it is toxic gynocentric garbage.
/r/EverydayMisandry11/05/23 01:22 PM

It is more likely frankly. Women don’t have any incentive to act differently, current dating dynamics work to their advantage and women typically have different intrinsic sexual motivations than men, which will always cause issues. Swallow the black pill.

Absolutely true. As a guy with autism I had to deal with teachers acting like I had a bad attitude or was a troublemaker my whole childhood, even though I usually got good grades and liked learning. If I was a girl I highly doubt they would have viewed it the same way.

Swinging isn’t about communal relationship structures anyway, it’s just switching up who you fuck mostly. I guess if I already had a solid relationship that met my emotional needs then swinging might be ok, but as a way to find new partners and be involved in a counterculture community poly really is a unique thing which can’t be substituted with something else.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/01/23 07:28 AM
3

Ok so that still makes it gynocentric and sexist to males. I think that’s a good argument for poly communities being overall better, even if they have a feminist bias you’re not inherently treated differently based on your sex.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/01/23 07:17 AM
3

I mean other nonmonogamous communities have a different vibe and intent, not to mention they are bad for males in their own ways. From what I can tell if you’re male you have to pay a huge amount to be able to go to a swinger club, whereas females pay nothing or very little.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/01/23 11:25 PM

Not at all. The reason I have the sense that it’s very woke is because I constantly see misandrist stuff being upvoted in the polyamory sub and anything challenging it getting downvoted. Most poly people I have interacted with on other sites like discord were intersectional feminists as well.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/01/23 11:02 PM

Yeah, honestly I would hate feminism a lot less if feminists wouldn’t shove it down my throat at every opportunity. It’s actually pretty counterproductive of them and I suspect it will backfire in the long run.

I’m flexible in the sense that I think I can sometimes be attracted to trans men or gender non conforming people as long as they don’t have a penis, not cis men though probably. I guess if you don’t accept the idea of transgenderism then I would still be considered heterosexual, but I assume most people here have more liberal views on that issue.

Doesn’t capitalism have all the same problems though? We live in a capitalist system and corporations already get away with lots of corruption. Once we can automate resource distribution we could at the very least ensure everyone would have a decent standard of living even if 100% equality will still take more time.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/11/22 06:50 PM
5

Well we would need to build a system that enforces accountability, corporations can exist but they need to be subordinate to the will of the people.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/11/22 06:41 PM
6

I believe it will be possible for it to work in a post automation world and probably not before then.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/11/22 03:16 PM
4

Yeah I agree that it doesn't make much difference in practical terms, but it makes it much easier to debate feminists. It's a lot harder for them to make identity based attacks on non-binary people, if they do they inevitably have to reference what's in the people's pants which would be perceived as transphobic and bad optics for them.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/11/22 06:40 PM
4

I don't think it means that, it means rejecting an identity that people use to abuse you.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/11/22 06:36 PM
2

Time for every guy here to start identifying as a trans woman or at least non binary. You can't do anything about your race if you're white but your gender is at least up to you to decide.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/10/22 05:18 PM

Yep, I think pretty much all guys unless they’re really masculine would be better off as girls. I would have transitioned to a woman if it weren’t for the fact that it is basically irreversible, I hope technology will advance to the point where you can transition and then reverse it later on with no ill effects if you change your mind.
/r/MenSupportMen17/10/22 04:46 PM

Lol so what would a world without “patriarchy” look like? Women eagerly asking to be conscripted in order to be equal to men?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/09/22 01:56 PM
15

Care and encouragement isn’t gonna do much for men who are falsely accused though.

10

Surprising absolutely no one.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/09/22 12:46 AM

Indeed, it would require the same level of pressure that society has put on men to, say, accept women who don’t know how to cook and clean. Certainly not going to happen soon.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/09/22 03:00 PM
3

Eh I would suggest that we can change women’s standards to some degree. If you look at male sexual behavior in the post feminist era it seems like it is very different for a lot of men, so I don’t think human sexuality is completely static.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/09/22 02:41 PM
4

Not really true though, lots of men like masculine women. The fact that men used to generally expect women to be feminine but now don’t as much, probably as a result of feminism, seems to indicate the same could and should happen in reverse with equivalent social pressures. I guess I’m just suggesting to try to make this the reverse feminist movement with regards to complete male liberation.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/09/22 12:28 AM
2

Let’s just say equal freedom regardless of the biological group you are born into.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 07:49 PM
2

Well when it comes to people having freedom of self-expression shouldn’t it be absolute? No one’s options in life should be restricted by what they happen to be born as.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 03:54 PM
4

I'm not missing the point, I'm just angry that it seems like every other group except straight males seems to have freedom to be who they want to be and be accepted for it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 03:05 PM
4

Well plenty of men do want to date masculine women so in a practical sense women do have that choice. If women have freedom to be appreciated as themselves, then so should men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 03:02 PM
4

How is it not oppressive for people to not be treated well as their natural self? If women were socially punished for being masculine, it would be equally wrong.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 02:55 PM
6

Well telling men to be better at meeting oppressive expectations isn't left wing, that's just what Jordan Peterson advocates. Being a straight man shouldn't mean you have less freedom to be yourself than other groups, and if it is that way then we need to demand change.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 02:50 PM
9

Ok well how should we help men who do not want to be masculine? If women have the freedom to be masculine, it is only right that men should have the freedom to be feminine.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 02:41 PM
10

Why should general differences between the sexes mean men should not have the same social freedoms as women? If men doing the same things as women makes us less attractive, then that is a problem with what women find attractive, not male behavior.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 02:36 PM
2

Yes but in all those other instances the biological differences didn't actually have a significant impact on people's behavior. With women it was different since the disadvantages they faced were purely because of cultural norms (like there is no reason why women wouldn't be able to have jobs, but the complementary problem of men not being able to be homemakers seems much more difficult to fix and potentially rooted in biology for instance).
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 03:34 AM
2

Ok so we do that, then what? If it turned out there were significant sex differences what could we do to fix the resulting problems that it creates for men? (at least from my perspective, in the developed world 90% of the "double standards" around male and female sexuality are beneficial for women and suck ass for men).
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 03:11 AM
2

So what can we do to fix that? I feel like men's perceived low sexual value is the main cause of many male problems, so I'd really like to see that get socially balanced out.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/09/22 02:30 AM
2

I don’t understand how exactly brutal rape is distinct from any kind of forcible rape. Is it not possible for anyone to force a man into intercourse assuming they have sufficient strength or can otherwise make up for a strength disadvantage? The only thing that seems to apply specifically to men is being able to anally penetrate a man, since that is the only kind of forced sex on men that only works with a penis.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/09/22 03:26 PM
4

Yeah forceful rape by strangers is generally committed by men because men are usually stronger so it is easier for them to succeed at that, not to mention that it is usually committed by desperate and unstable men, just like mass shootings (after all you do not often hear about CEOs committing violent rape). Assuming men have a natural predisposition towards aggression and sexual violence seems misandrist and unfounded.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/09/22 02:47 PM
12

I mean I don't see why fear of male sexuality would be ingrained, it seems like it is a natural result of misandry, which may be ingrained at least to some extent. But if we could somehow get rid of misandry, it seems like it should be possible for women to become more open to receiving dick pics.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/09/22 02:11 PM
7

Yeah that’s why I wouldn’t get into a serious relationship with a woman unless I had already vetted her to make sure she didn’t hold toxic double standards about men. Good luck bro, we’ve all got your back here.
/r/MenSupportMen15/09/22 01:02 AM
11

Yeah but I don’t really think that changes anything. If it had been the other way around I’m sure you wouldn’t have reacted that way, and pretty much everyone would tell a woman that she needed to dump any man who did that. Being treated with respect as guys requires respecting ourselves. I would say at the very least dump her if she still doesn’t get it after you’ve already explained the fact that you weren’t able to properly consent.
/r/MenSupportMen14/09/22 11:22 PM

Frankly I don’t show empathy toward women as a collective. I do feel bad about things that women specifically have to deal with though (like restrictions on abortion rights post Roe v Wade being overturned) because there are some compassionate women out there who are affected by stuff that harms women and they deserve better than that. I extend that empathy on an individual basis though, I don’t really feel motivated to fight for women in general due to the attitude most have toward me and other…

Your answer doesn’t really counter anything I said. I believe we should be trying to change both the law and cultural norms. JP is Jordan Peterson, ie the guy who tells men to “stop acting like a victim and clean your room”.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/09/22 03:23 PM
38

Yeah no. I'll go through these one by one. It's not an issue of human rights in the sense that it can't be fixed with legal changes, but it is a problem of systemic inequality and unfair gender expectations placed on men. Therefore we have every right to discuss it and demand change, especially since it's not something that can be solved by men changing, regardless of what JP likes to say. The fact that men's social value is so much determined by "ability to get bitches" is by itself part of the…

The problem is some issues can't really be resolved through "explanation", they are simply fundamental conflicts of values. There's no way to really "prove" the Nazis were wrong for example, there's nothing objectively wrong about racial supremacism even if the science used to justify it is false. Similarly, I don't think there's any way to argue against tradcon values such as male disposability, to debate issues you need to have a common starting point. I feel like at least recently there has b…

I mean yeah, no one should go to jail for thought crime. However I do think certain ideas, such as men having less inherent worth than women due to biological expendability, are despicable and should be shamed the same way things like racism are.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/09/22 09:51 PM
1

You sure about that? Communism, anarchism, globalism, anti-racism, sexual liberation, and trans activism are all left wing movement that go against or seek to improve upon nature/human nature.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/09/22 09:49 PM
2

Saying it’s impossible to change an aspect of human behavior is kind of against left wing ideals. Even if it might be impossible to 100% get rid of it we should at least be trying to massively minimize it through cultural conditioning.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/09/22 06:42 PM
5

The problem is most men are not bi.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/09/22 02:56 PM
6

The goal of our movement should be to end male expendability, don't talk about how we just need to cope. That's just red pill bullshit.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates02/09/22 02:56 PM
25

Neckbeard is a misandrist slur.

I agree with you but this sub leans a bit sexually conservative so it’s not surprising you got downvoted.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/08/22 04:07 PM

I mean is it misogynist to say that in some ways women could be more disposed to shitty behavior because we collectively tolerate shitty behavior from women more?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/08/22 04:05 PM
10

I’m glad you feel this way. Too bad that like 99% (95% if we’re being generous) of trans women are feminist puppets.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/08/22 09:40 PM
3

Ok well clearly even if there are biological reasons they don’t apply to everyone since there are plenty of people who don’t act that way (look no farther than every other answer on this thread). That suggests to me that people can change their perception based on external influences and if there are in fact biological factors we should make people aware and not encourage that way of thinking.
/r/AntiFeminists24/08/22 06:04 PM

Doesn’t the fact that femboys get less respect even in progressive societies simply show that these societies are not progressive enough?
/r/AntiFeminists24/08/22 05:42 PM
3

I’m definitely planning to abuse the non binary privileges at some point to get money or jobs and stuff. You could call that exploiting the system, but what else can you do when the system is discriminatory?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/08/22 03:27 PM

Yes
/r/EverydayMisandry12/08/22 08:52 PM

Would it be sexist to say respect men? If so, then yes.

/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates16/06/22 02:22 PM

What would you call him? He seems culturally right of center.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/06/22 05:26 PM
1

What exactly is the point of this post?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates12/06/22 02:36 AM
3

Bro, you completely misunderstood my point. I totally agree with you, everyone SHOULD be able to do whatever they want but in practice most women do not want to marry a lower income man. This is an issue feminists would be addressing if most of them actually cared about equality and the fact that they’re not is quite telling.
/r/AntiFeminists29/05/22 05:19 PM
3

You think most women would want to marry a guy who says he wants to be a stay at home dad?
/r/AntiFeminists29/05/22 02:01 PM

Well then don’t whine if you’re not interested in getting any help with your problems.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates28/05/22 06:10 PM

Well alright, if you want to be fatalistic that’s your right, just don’t expect sympathy from people if you have that attitude.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/05/22 11:29 AM
1

Ok what I mean is that HRT is a one time decision that is made much less dangerous if there is an adult (professional) involved, whereas the other things are completely the responsibility of the adolescent and present ongoing risk (well not getting a tattoo but most of the examples you provided).
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/05/22 06:22 AM

That isn’t what I meant.

No but those are not exactly equivalent.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/05/22 05:50 AM

Those are interesting ideas, although eliminating the male sex seems like a strange thing to suggest. I’m wondering if you have discord since it seems like you’re not doing well. If you’d like to join my server, we can hopefully help you since my goal is to get a large and varied community of people who can support and offer advice to each other.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/05/22 08:07 PM

Don’t infantilize women. They can exercise rational influence over their attraction if they want to, but they are not being pushed to by anyone (except incels and people who have no social influence).

Because ultimately the solutions the right provides are counterproductive and will harm men or anyone AMAB. Furthermore, right wingers have really bad answers to a lot of other issues, which we need to also take into account. That said, I do agree that the left should be ashamed and we need to make other leftists do better.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/22 09:23 AM

No
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/22 07:36 AM
4

Ok but what threat do trans people actually pose to the rights of any other group, besides having a lot of power to cancel people?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/22 07:24 AM
2

Exactly what threat do trans extremists pose to society as a whole?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/22 07:20 AM

Feminist insanity is much more dangerous than trans activist insanity. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for anti-SJWs to comprehend this.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/22 06:46 AM

I agree artificial partners will help break down gender roles, but in the short term it’s just gonna further fragment heterosexual dynamics as well as people’s sense of social investment. I do support it but I hope it doesn’t replace actual human connection.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/05/22 10:18 AM
2

Because the way male-female dynamics work presently are very detrimental to men and I want that to change.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/05/22 08:31 PM
6

Unfortunately a lot probably do.
/r/AntiFeminists21/05/22 08:54 AM

I disagree with this premise. Most straight and gay women (this goes without saying) and many straight women and gay men find the female body more aesthetically pleasing. It’s not just about sexuality.
/r/MenSupportMen20/05/22 10:03 AM
5

Unlikely, well none that are FOR heterosexual dating, some that are about discussing dating.
/r/MenSupportMen20/05/22 12:51 AM
11

The much bigger female privilege imo is the fact that women’s bodies are seen as much more beautiful by society than men’s bodies. No dresses or pretty clothes are gonna change that.

Point being?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/05/22 06:54 PM

Not precisely but I cba to explain the distinction. It doesn’t really matter anyway since women’s attitudes are sacrosanct and will not be subject to cultural judgment anytime soon.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 02:23 PM
-1

Well my opinion is going to be rather unpopular but probably a combination of media propaganda and childhood subliminal conditioning to increase women’s physical attraction to men and cause them to value men more as people.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 02:03 PM
1

I guess it depends how you define large scale. I could imagine it working on the scale of millions of people, just probably not hundreds of millions or billions. The problem is that the state isn't really allowing people to have the leeway for that kind of social experimentation, which is why I think it needs to be abolished or at least made much smaller.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 02:32 AM
1

Alright, I'll just give a brief overview of my thoughts and you can talk to me more over dms if you want, up to you. Basically, I feel like the problem with past far leftist movements is that they have happened in a nationalist way (that is to say top down with a far left government taking power in a country) and everyone in the country have been forced to comply. Obviously not everyone is interested in communism or any left wing ideology and will fight against it if others try to force them to …
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 02:04 AM
2

Oh certainly not.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 01:53 AM
1

I have some thoughts on how to make it work better but it's kinda complicated and not really relevant to men's rights, so probably not worth mentioning here.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 01:47 AM
1

It caused suffering because it was implemented properly. It seems like the solution to that is better implementation, not just settling for something that is at best not really terrible.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 01:38 AM
2

Yeah that's true, so we need to get rid of the cultural stigma on judging and trying to influence women's behavior, that is the only way to achieve equality.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 12:51 AM
9

Lol, speak for yourself. We are not all monkeys who are just looking to bust a nut.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 12:48 AM
4

How about trying to get women to be more attracted to men? That seems a lot more beneficial.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 12:41 AM
2

I would say it's not connected to the fact that they are not harming anyone by being this way. While I don't think people with pedophilic urges should be persecuted either since it's not their fault, they are a potential danger to children so I think it's perfectly fine to try to fix pedophilia. Basically what I'm saying is if people's natures lead them to behave in ways that are positive or neutral then great, but if they lead to detrimental behaviors then we should try to fix those. As far as …
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/05/22 12:20 AM
3

Well it’s just my subjective views ultimately (all beliefs are subjective) but it strikes me as completely arbitrary and morally depraved to persecute people based on their sexual attraction or how they identify themselves.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 11:39 PM
4

Well I don't support those things since I am very much pro LGBT, but I can't deny that if someone viewed being gay or trans as wrong then they would have a legitimate reason to support conversion therapy. To be honest, I don't even have any interest in debating those kind of people any more than I do Nazis for example, I'd much rather focus on politically crushing them to ensure they have no power to implement their evil views.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 10:46 PM
12

Unfortunately I think most feminists go a lot farther than that, but I'd love to believe that you're right. If most of them are actually as moderate as MRAs then I'm sure it should be possible to achieve effective discourse, I'm just a bit skeptical since that has not happened in the 30 or 40 years since the movement took off.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 10:03 PM
-10

No, arrogance isn't exactly what I mean. I am referring to the irrational desire some men have to be dominant and feel in control, which is exhibited largely by asserting power over other men and sexually pursuing women. I know this is a bit of a feminist talking point but I think they're right about it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 10:00 PM
20

To be perfectly honest I don't need you or any other feminist to agree with me. The reason I hate feminism as an ideology is because it insists that I and other males are privileged despite this being not at all reflective of my actual experience, so I would genuinely get along well with feminists as a group if they simply treated male issues as equally important and showed as much compassion toward men as they do toward women.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 09:53 PM
7

Fuck man, that is absolutely awful. We really need to fix this, I might actually go so far as to say this is the greatest source of male problems.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 09:42 PM
17

Eh I don't really agree with this, men seem to me to overall have just as much romantic desire and interest in emotional intimacy as women, arguably more than them.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 09:39 PM
15

I don't know, I sympathize with where you're coming from but for me at least as a guy it's really hard to see any upsides to the fact that I'm male, besides biological ones like not getting periods or worrying about getting pregnant. Even though I'm not exactly trans if I could reset my life so I was born as a girl I would do that with zero hesitation.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 09:34 PM
-9

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. As a guy I would be absolutely overjoyed to be asked out by a girl (assuming I was interested in her) but I guess some men are really egotistical in this regard and have an irrational attachment to being dominant and assertive. I think we males have to come together and decide this inequality is not acceptable if we want things to change.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 09:30 PM
6

I mean I would certainly like to believe that we have no instincts in this regard and that the way men and women are treated is entirely the result of historical circumstances, but that unfortunately seems overly optimistic.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 09:24 PM
3

I don’t exactly see how one could solve the “mini problems” without solving the core problem, which is fundamentally destructive and antithetical to human well-being. Admittedly I am rather culturally far leftist though, so I have no real qualms taking extreme measures to radically remake society in order to achieve happiness and social harmony. Any response to the problem that doesn’t result in actual equality is just going to be like putting a bandage on a bullet wound and will probably not do…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 08:48 PM
15

God I sure hope so. Honestly I think being sexually objectified and just generally valued more for their physical appearance by both men and women is actually the greatest privilege women have, even though most women will vehemently argue to the contrary. While I would by no means dismiss the harmful effects that women can suffer from objectification, sexual harassment, etc, I still think the feeling of validation and worth that it can provide outweighs the harms. Like I have noticed a lot of wo…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 08:42 PM
15

That may be true but if results of evolution are having harmful effects on humans we should try to counter those instincts by any possible measures.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 08:29 PM
6

Saying because something is natural takes it off the table of things we should try to improve on seems like a defeatist attitude, but that is beside the point. As I thought though you don’t actually have any reasoning for why it is good and are saying it’s good just because it’s natural, which as I mentioned is an appeal to nature fallacy.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 08:28 PM
4

Hmm what about as a physically fit and lean 5’8 guy with features that are attractive but mildly feminine? It seems like a lot of women will say that they love that kind of appearance but I’ve so far in my life never had a woman be sexually obsessed with me lmao, so I am slightly skeptical about that.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 08:25 PM
3

Do you think it’s possible to find any women who do have that response?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 08:10 PM
19

Supposing this is in fact natural, I don’t see how that would remotely make it good (it would be an appeal to nature fallacy if the justification for it being good is merely that it is natural). On the contrary, having an imbalance in heterosexual attraction seems very harmful on the individual level as well as destructive to social harmony, so I’m wondering what your reasoning here is.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 08:09 PM
6

Lmao I would much rather be a stay at home husband than the main breadwinner if I were to choose one of those options but that’s not a very likely possibility. Yay male privilege I guess?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 04:15 PM
1

I mean sure but it makes us look bad.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/05/22 02:45 PM
5

I’m afraid they are
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/05/22 09:37 PM

Yeah it just gives feminists ammo to be used against us and other leftists who criticize feminism if they associate themselves with stupidpol.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/05/22 06:16 PM
-1

Stupidpol is unfortunately pretty transphobic and conservative despite the fact that they're more aware of misandry.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/05/22 04:47 PM
2

God I hate seeing men talk about their mommy fetish when it’s clear all they want is basic care and affection.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates07/05/22 11:10 PM
2

I mean we don’t know but cultural shifts seems like a simpler explanation.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/05/22 04:06 AM
0

Is it not something that’s clear to see?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/05/22 04:03 AM
-1

I just explained, men have become much more feminine than they were a generation ago.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/05/22 04:02 AM
0

People's personalities are largely culturally shaped, men can be taught to be more feminine and vice versa. In fact, men have been becoming significantly more feminine in recent decades.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/05/22 03:33 AM
-2

Seems like the best thing would be for men to become more feminine and women to become more masculine, then we could all reach a nice balance and there wouldn't have to be this gender conflict.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/05/22 03:16 AM
4

Well one of them did a review of it and apparently thought it was AWESOME.
/r/EverydayMisandry28/04/22 10:21 PM

I don’t think so. The pro life movement is awful.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/04/22 03:22 AM
1

Unfortunately there will continue to be more shootings until feminists and society as a whole decide to actually start giving a shit about boys and men. I wish that was not the case but I know it is inevitable as long as the causal factors are still there.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/04/22 11:13 PM
4

Most based thing I’ve read all day
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/04/22 05:03 PM
2

I mean, if there are simply not enough appealing partner options to go around, most guys are fucked. The fact that so many guys are either incels or cannot maintain a steady relationship or get divorced, cheated on, etc seems to paint a pretty grim picture.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 03:50 AM
3

Yeah so we are just fucked basically.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 03:44 AM
1

Lol I can dm you some screenshots of stuff guys have said if you want.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 03:43 AM
0

Lol well I could never commit to being MGTOW though. I hate being single, makes me fucking miserable. Realistically it would still take 5 or 10 years for real change to happen even if there was a massive MGTOW movement right now.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 03:33 AM
3

Yeah man, I try to do all those things you mentioned and just get bashed by other guys for it. Things are never gonna change until men as a group support each other in expecting equal treatment from women instead of taking women’s side all the time.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 03:30 AM
0

I don’t think MGTOW is really the solution though. We should fix relationships, not boycott them. I’m not even sure the level of attention men generally show to women is bad per se, the problem is that women don’t reciprocate it and also that men will backstab each other for the sake of women. Even if MGTOW became widespread though, really all it would do is make men and women both unhappy and lonely.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 03:22 AM
9

Yes, and it will probably continue indefinitely unless young guys unite together as a group and put pressure on women to change their behavior as well. The problem is that most don’t seem interested in doing that, and they are still stuck on the stage of complaining without being motivated to carry out actual activism.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 03:00 AM
2

How?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 02:40 AM
15

Well the solution is for women as a group to change some of their expectations and develop a more egalitarian attitude. A lot of MRAs don't like to hear this though, since it means we (those of us who are male at least) are helpless to really fix our current situation.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates11/04/22 02:38 AM
3

Dude, break up with her. She sounds like an annoying bitch.
/r/MensRights10/04/22 10:06 PM

Thanks for the detailed and thought out response. You seem like an interesting person, is it ok if I pm you?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/04/22 04:50 PM
1

Oh I have, quite a while ago in fact.
/r/MensRights29/03/22 10:03 PM
1

Extreme left wing would mean very egalitarian. How is feminism egalitarian?
/r/MensRights29/03/22 07:37 PM
1

Rightism is our enemy. Feminism is a culturally right wing ideology since it upholds gynocentrism.
/r/MensRights29/03/22 07:35 PM
15

Well personally my main struggles, aside from the whole imbalanced dating game, are: 1. I’m autistic, so obviously that makes dating and socializing in general a lot harder. 2. What I want out of a relationship is pretty different from what I think most people want. 3. I don’t have any female friends (I’m heterosexual) and in general the stuff I’m interested in are predominantly male interests. 4. Aside from being an MRA, I have a lot of fringe political views that would turn many people off.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates29/03/22 04:22 PM
10

I think men and women should have exactly equal freedoms and responsibilities. End of story. In no civilized society should a person’s outcomes in life be determined by their sex. These “pro male” conservatives are actually worse than feminists a lot of the time, and they cannot be allowed to control the conversation.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/03/22 08:56 PM
25

Alright well it's definitely not lesser, any logical way of comparing them would not show that. At best they are equal problems.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/03/22 12:34 AM
23

Why are you on this sub then?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates27/03/22 12:30 AM
7

Lol, the empathy gap exists among most people, especially women. The non woke feminists still usually expect men to work harder and complain less than women.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/22 02:37 PM
1

Well, do you think there was any way those cultures could have been as successful in the long run as European culture?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/22 02:55 AM
1

Hmm interesting, I don’t really know then. But throughout history except in periods of instability most men get married I’m pretty sure, except in polygynous cultures which were significantly less successful than monogamous ones.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/22 01:54 AM
1

I'm pretty sure they would raid other people and capture their women as slave wives. That's not exactly stable or desirable.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates25/03/22 01:17 AM
2

Yeah true. At least with black men when the right says something blatantly racist having to do with their racial identity instead of their gender the left generally gets pissed though, so that's something. Where the feminist left starts to experience infighting is when black male issues conflict with white female issues, for example when people try to bring up how white women historically used rape or harassment accusations to spread terror against black men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/03/22 12:41 AM
2

Columbine, Adam Lanza, Elliot Rodgers... yep, introverted/socially awkward men are one of the new scapegoats for the "progressive left".
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates24/03/22 12:38 AM
10

Wokeness doesn’t apply to autistic men, my friend.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/03/22 11:28 PM
3

Things are gonna be absolutely crazy. Most extreme scenario, capitalism itself collapses because of the extent to which it is fueled by traditional sexual dynamics between men and men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/03/22 09:14 PM
6

Is common decency not a reason? We're sapient beings, not mindless animals, so we should be able to make decisions based on moral values.
/r/MensRights23/03/22 05:37 PM
28

Tbf most of them are not shaming incels for not being able to get laid per se, they're shaming them for not getting laid and complaining about it. Basically they don't care as long as male virgins will shut up about being virgins and be good male allies, ie servants to women.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/03/22 04:31 PM
3

Well someone will need to come up with a solution or I can guarantee there will be widespread social chaos. Throughout history there has always been really bad effects whenever there has been a large surplus of single men.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/03/22 01:34 PM
3

Lol I personally would never seriously date a religious girl. But yes, the less entitled the better, I agree with that.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates22/03/22 01:23 AM

Yeah but let’s be real here, how many women like that are there relative to the number of men who psychologically need a woman who can be there for them that way? Not trying to prove a point, I would genuinely love to believe the situation is better than it seems.

Damn, this makes me so depressed. I am someone who would need a lot of emotional support in a relationship and I am afraid I won’t be able to find a woman who is willing to commit to me because of it. I hope I’m just overly pessimistic though and other sensitive guys here have found someone who cared about them.

It is gender abolition though, since sex and gender aren’t the same thing and gender refers to non-biological stuff. Even with regards to sex, transsexuality is blurring that over time and should eventually result in a state of sex fluidity (complete sex abolition would presumably be undesirable)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/03/22 01:29 AM
1

Sure you can. Even if there are natural average differences between the sexes we don’t need to give them any more value than average differences between any other group. There’s really no reason to place different expectations on individuals based on their sex or really care about it at all except with regards to dating and reproduction.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates21/03/22 01:23 AM

That seems like a very conservative point of view. What we need is gender abolition, not traditionalism or the female supremacism that we have now.

Unfortunately a large portion of incels are autistic. That’s not exactly a bad thing though, all it shows is autistic men are marginalized and face even more disadvantages than other men.

No, I think I understand what you're saying perfectly well. I agree that we shouldn't demonize them either, but we should also make it easier for straight men to not be celibate without having to put unreasonable amounts of work into self-improvement/impressing women. Many liberal feminists talk about destigmatizing men being single or celibate and ultimately it is just virtue signaling as far as I'm concerned since it doesn't actually accomplish much. Also, I'm aware that relationships don't gu…

It can't be normalized culturally since the desire for sex is a biological impulse. That also can't be fixed with prostitution either since it does not provide true intimacy. The only real fix is to create better relations between men and women, and we should not just throw up our hands and accept that there is nothing we can do to change anything. As I said, we should be trying to fix hypergamy since otherwise women will always have power over men unless we go back to a traditional culture.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/02/22 02:13 PM
1

That’s ridiculous, sex is a basic human desire that is innate to us. I disagree about men having only one standard, yeah for sex maybe, but for dating I have plenty of standards, they just don’t have to do with money and status. Like for example I would not date a woman who was significantly less intelligent than me. Anyway, I think hypergamy is one of the main roots of gynocentrism, and until we get rid of it or at least greatly minimize it the same basic problems will still exist. Monogamy in …

Everyone being able to easily attain things that are basic physical and emotional needs is not really what I would call utopian. I’m too young to have been around during the hippie era, but I imagine most men could have still dated or hooked up with a woman of comparable attractiveness to themselves. Like sure a 4/10 guy probably would have been ignored by really hot hippie girls, but he could have gotten a 4/10 girl I expect. The problem is nowadays it isn’t really about looks, it’s primarily a…

Yeah, Brave New World is sort of what I had in mind, although not with the same level of cultural coercion. I think the rising popularity of polyamory demonstrates that people can form bonds without monogamy. As for the parenting issue, yeah I agree that monogamy works better if you want to have kids, but that isn’t something that I personally care about. Also, I would prefer a more tribal based childcare system over the nuclear family. It’s true that no system is perfect, but the problem is all…

That situation was pretty bad for men as well, men were expected to prove their marriage worth by being good providers. I think a better solution would be to take things to the opposite extreme and create a culture of hyper-promiscuity.

Well how do we do that?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/02/22 03:29 PM

To some extent that could be effective, and there are certainly some areas in which groups of people face systemic injustice. However, woke ideology tends to greatly simplify complex issues, which is something we should avoid. In the case of gender, it is not simply the opposite of what feminists think, since although women are privileged in many situations it is not a black and white issue of oppressor vs oppressed.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates20/12/21 02:42 AM

Agreed, so what can we do about it?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates10/12/21 05:00 PM

Sure, that’s a concern, but I don’t think it warrants giving up on sexual relationships, especially if you are a heterosexual male.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/12/21 10:44 PM

I’m not a woman so I can’t speak for women, but I as a guy often get a surge of euphoria when I get complimented by or otherwise receive positive social reinforcement from women. I would assume the same applies to many males, so we are biologically motivated to have a pro female bias.

Honestly at this point if feminists promised me as a male that all I had to do to be treated equally to women and enjoy the same privileges they do is be a femboy all the time, that would be pretty acceptable. I know that wouldn't be true justice but they're not even offering us that, no matter how feminine we act they will still see us as less important than women.

Look random person, no one here is claiming to know everything, but since it is you who are challenging us by asserting that there is such a thing as "white Christian patriarchy" the burden is on you to prove your claims.

Yes men and women were not equal, but in all those instances men had more legal responsibilities than women to balance out their extra rights. If women as a group had been unhappy with that arrangement I am sure they would have fought against it.

I mean… I would say he had sex with a woman, but not someone who is fully physically female, which is required for completely heterosexual attraction I would say, so at best he is heteroflexible.

Hmm well sexuality exists on a spectrum so he isn’t necessarily gay but he’s certainly not completely straight in the conventional sense of the word, that is attracted to people with both feminine features AND pussies.

Hmm, I guess I agree with the SJWs you're mentioning on these points. Most of the time I think being "colorblind" is better than seeing everything through a racial lens. As for gender, I think it is a social construct that we should get rid of but we can still acknowledge that some people feel uncomfortable with the body they are born with for one reason or another and use surgery or whatever methods exist to deal with that.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates30/11/21 06:12 PM

Do SJWs really act like race and gender aren’t real? In my experience they make a bigger deal about them than anyone.

At best they can help trans women lol. I’m non binary amab and not helped by feminism at all. I suspect their “support” of GNC males is completely for show and they would be happier if we all transitioned to women so any problems we had would be covered under women’s issues.

I don’t believe in this horseshoe theory concept. The Left has betrayed its core principles, which are inherently pro male. Marx and other older left wing political theorists focused on issues that affect men more than women, and the fact that the New Left is moving away from that does not make them more leftist.

Oh man, I’d love to be a hermaphrodite too! When do you predict the technology for that will be available?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/11/21 10:01 PM

I experience dysphoria as well and often fantasize about being a woman, but am rather conflicted about actually thinking of myself as trans since I’m generally fine with having a male body and just want to be treated as a woman without having to go through any physical transition progress. I suspect those feelings would mostly go away if men were treated the same as women, which is probably not the case for true trans women. For what it’s worth a large part of it for me is definitely the desire …
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates01/11/21 10:00 PM

Yeah that’s true. I don’t have statistics to back this up, but I would assume that domestic violence goes both ways and is ignored but worse for women due to their strength disadvantage. I imagine sexual violence would be worse for women and murder and other physical violence worse for men, like in the west.

Yep. I think transhumanism (the ability to use technology to modify or replace the human body) will ultimately render all gender issues obsolete. In the meantime it’s just a matter of reducing the power of sexist ideologies like feminism to make our lives as equal as possible.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/09/21 03:04 AM
2

Yeah same man. I actually have a personal theory that once trans technology becomes more refined and transitioning is easy and reversible, lots of men will transition into women and this will fix a lot of dating imbalances and in the long run make things better for men. That said, I have no idea how long it will take to get to that point, so in the meantime we will have to suffer the burden of living as men in a gynocentric world.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/09/21 02:54 AM
4

Yeah I get what you mean. Personally I feel like maybe if I transitioned and was really beautiful as a woman I might not have dysphoria but I have no idea so I wouldn't take the chance. I can only imagine myself transitioning if it was easy (ie didn't take years and cost thousands of dollars) and if I could reverse it if I decided I would rather be a man or if I did not look good.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/09/21 02:44 AM

Would you transition if it was guaranteed to work well and make you look good?

Uh, maybe 50 years ago, but that's not the case at all now, both based on statistics and my anecdotal experience. If it is true, can you provide non feminist sources showing it?
