If it took you 3 weeks to contact her, you weren't really interested in her in the first place; she knows it, and doesn't want to be your last choice. It feels awful to be a last choice and makes her look desperate. You have been forgotten already and any attraction she felt towards you has likely moved on.

Tell her she needs to go out to work, because of the finances. This will alarm the hell out of her and you should see more results sooner.

So have I. I'm American but have lived in London for more than a decade. People are the same (an important lesson - absolutely) but they are also very different in culture, etiquette, politics, etc. It's extremely important to get outside the bubble of the US to see things for oneself. OP is pathetic if he wants to hang onto a red-flagged girl (tattoos etc.) and not travel himself.

She feels guilty that sleeping with you so quickly makes her a slut. [Hint: it does.]

See I see him not wanting to travel as a complete wimp. It does matter. Travel is good for people to grow - men and women. OP is just scared that she'll find someone else without him, when what he needs to do is lead. I see his unwillingness to travel as a weakness in itself.

No it's not safe. You don't know that a woman is telling the truth that she is a virgin. Always use a condom.

Why don't you want to travel? And why aren't you the one organising the holiday if you need to lead? She's asking you to lead.

Depends on your location globally, tax situation, pension/retirement savings, age, and tolerance for risk. In my case for example I am a high tax bracket, so using my pension to minimise current tax is a good idea. Also, the property market in London has been very good, so we have invested well - and it's tangible despite being less liquid than other assets.

The flaw in your thinking is that women do not orgasm solely from physicality. By that I mean that it is not a case of Insert into Slot A, Press Button B, and orgasm will happen at point C. Repeat as needed. That may work for a guy - but women are emotional. I am one. When it comes to orgasm you have to tap into a woman's brain... and give her the emotional fantasy. I, for example, always am able to orgasm when I imagine my husband is making me pregnant again (I loved being pregnant! We have 2 k…

I'm in London and have built a 20 year career to become an industry expert; now have switched into sales in that industry. I make £107K (base + bonus+ car allowance) - $142K USD - before commission.

I'm early 40s and make £97K/year base before commission (at today's exchange rates roughly $130K). I have had to build my expertise as a global industry leader and it's taken years to do that.

If she was needy, then she is showing her neediness to a lot of other guys, not just you. If she needed you and you only she'd stop using the apps.

How are your other areas of game? Are you ripped? Act confident with her in public? Do you make her feel safe and protected when she's with you? I make more money than my husband (~50% more) but I still always let him drive everywhere. He still has to be the alpha.

No business would give your opinion the time of day. If you want to go into consulting, you need either: 1) a degree from an elite university where one of the top firms mine candidates, and then to join their graduate programme; or 2) extreme credibility and experience in the consulting space you want to work in. I have and continue to make a living from it but I have a great degree from a good university and 20 years of experience to show. The two types of people at consulting firms usually fal…

I disagree entirely. Atheists are quite simply more intelligent. And those intelligent people are more likely to have greater levels of education. It is not the inverse.

It's not about her, but about you being easy and slutty, more like. They're the dependable ones for raising great kids. You aren't motherhood material. Cold comfort when you hit the wall!

Believe in science. And that will lead you to atheism. It's a phenomenal peace when you realise you're living your life for you and with your own ethics. Atheists don't consider believers evil. We just think they're unintelligent and uninformed.

Women are told they can't get ahead in the office unless they come over all sweetness and light. Women who aren't are classed as bitchy, bossy, and unfriendly. The problem is of course the sweetness and light ones don't get promoted. Bitchiness gets rewarded, especially if they can show results, but no one likes them, which is ultimately the kiss of death.

Have you seen nature programmes where the female gorilla grooms the male? Same thing. Women like to think they can make you better, and by better, we mean more aligned to our own goals. Do you fit in to her social circle? If not, you "need" fixing in order to fit.

Correct; OP is in Germany hence the short answer. :)

IRA in the US is a private pension fund, yes, designed with some tax advantages in mind, the primary being delayed tax treatment (you only are taxed at point of withdrawals). Same with 401K in the US, which is an employer-sponsored pension fund where the employee and the employer contribute to it, but again, delayed tax treatment.
/r/askTRP14/05/16 08:05 PM
1

Correct. Brokers charge a percentage of the fund value - and the higher the fee, the lower your overall return. Some will try to promise better than average returns, but you're likely safer with a good mutual fund. You should also think about your appetite for risk. You're younger so can "afford" more risk, but it's a personal thing, and your investment strategy should align to your risk appetite.
/r/askTRP14/05/16 08:01 PM

Also consider the property market. It's not a liquid asset, but it's tangible.

It means you are showing a good work ethic and that you have potential to grow in your career. Which would then translate to you having higher SMV than you do today.

For my husband and I? Absolutely. We are raising our two kids together in an intact household. We've been married 15 years. And I make 50% more in salary than my husband, before anyone thinks I'm about to divorce rape him or anything!
/r/askTRP07/05/16 01:26 PM

I hope he does kick you out! You can't get him back. You have ruined it all by cheating on him and taking advantage of him financially. The good thing? You don't have children and you're not married. The sooner he gets rid of you completely the better.

Some very conservative women have been taught that men have to do all the chasing. She may be one of those. You can call her out on it, soft next, whatever - but that may be why.

She's still having sex with him once/week (3 times/month or thereabouts). He would mention Twitter if he's jealous and can't figure out why his short term needs don't trump her long term needs.
/r/askTRP06/05/16 01:43 PM

Pick up the phone and ask her out. You have nothing to lose and you did really well with your initial meetup.
/r/askTRP06/05/16 01:37 PM

Twitter takes two seconds. Sex does not and should not. I think she has a valid point and OP should know by now he's not #1 in her life. If he wants to be then he has to show her how attention to him is more valuable than her med school and future career. Good luck with that.
/r/askTRP06/05/16 01:34 PM
-4

No, there isn't always time for sex (I say this as a mother of two kids with a full time career and a husband). It may take a guy 3 minutes to get in the mood, start and finish, but she has to warm up to it, and this takes time. And with so much going on with school, I'm not surprised she's stressed out. She's not giving herself permission to relax as her entire career is resting on school.
/r/askTRP06/05/16 01:24 PM

It's a fact that the higher you get in business, the more sociopaths there just-so-happens-to-be. Statistically. Correlation may imply causation in this case.

Or med school really is that tough and she's choosing to put it ahead of OP. He's just not worth putting ahead of her career, needs or not.

Your mistakes are: 1) thinking you need to explain your behaviour. You don't. You don't owe anyone an explanation. and 2) thinking that this has damaged your reputation. You fail to realise that this will be nothing in a couple of days when everyone forgets about it. It's not news today and won't be news tomorrow. Ignore the whole thing and move on.

You do not have to know immediately what you want. Try lots of things. I have a university degree and 'fell' into my first few roles - I decided I liked it, then it took until I was 32 before I specialised in it a sub-field. Now at my age (early 40s) I'm a recognised global industry expert. For me - finding that one area of specialism took 1) a university degree that was marketable; 2) a bit of luck; and 3) finding the one area that I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge about. To the point…

10 years from now, you could have had her on your arm at a dinner party with your boss, and she could've said just that and mortified you in front of your colleagues. I think you did the right thing. She could be quite the liability.

The simple red pill logic says that your current issues are too great for you to have high SMV. You're right that no one cares how far you've come and you need to get over that. You want recognition for that and no one is going to give it to you.

It doesn't sound like you've mastered it, I'm afraid. There are dating coaches out there, but I think you should start with your friends. You need to come across as a great catch, desperate anxious men are definitely not.

How on earth do you know she hasn't been missing you? Maybe, just maybe, she has. Maybe she knows she lost you and maybe she wants to know you're OK, firstly. The breakup was purely because of relocation, not because of any failure on her part, right? Consider this: you may be worth it to her to reach out. You are the prize.

I agree with your grannie. If you insist on lending, get everything in writing, lest they turn around and try to say it was a "gift." You want the date lent, the amount, and the payback schedule including any interest, and both parties to sign. All payments should get a receipt.

I am married 15 years with 2 kids. I have a career and make more money than my husband. I consider myself red pill aware, certainly, but I personally have no reason to change because my husband and I have built a solid family foundation for raising our two kids. I'm aware of the wall, and am early 40s, but I've accomplished my family building goals in addition to my career goals, and have no reason to pursue divorce as I love my husband and family.

LOL as if OP thinks that if his wife doesn't work, he won't hear about work. If only he knew how boring stay at home mother conversation will be. When he comes home, whether she works or doesn't, she'll talk about her day. Women talk. Better to talk about work than childcare!

I took my husband's last name, but no, we don't mix finances! It's so important for women to have their finances separate for credit rating purposes. A stay at home mother becomes a financial nobody otherwise.

I just don't understand how women can go back to work just weeks after giving birth and let some high school drop out take care of their infant In the US, there is no paid maternity leave, so they may have no financial choice but to go back to work - also if they don't, ther employer does not have to take them back at the level they were at. No. I love my kids, but I would go insane if I had to not have intelligent adult conversation for years. Being a SAHM is a lonely life if you're an educated woman who had a career beforehand.

Staying at home to raise children is a very dangerous move for women nowadays. If they leave the workforce, they can't get back in at the level they left at. Childrearing is not a valued enterprise (have you seen the salaries of childcare workers?) and for most people, working is necessary in order to afford a home. Childcare is also mindnumbingly boring and the social circles are filled with catty, unintelligent women (the bitching by other mothers on the school run is unbelievable). I stayed a…

There's an online blog/website run by a woman who calls herself the Flylady. It's supposed to help us all feel more energetic about housecleaning. One of her mantras (which does work) is that you can do anything for 15 minutes. Start your task, then STOP after 15 minutes. Another mind trick, I'm afraid - but I find it works for me (despite me still hating housecleaning and still getting someone in weekly for the help).

Well then go talk to her if you're that convinced. The original story as you told it doesn't sound like anything more than someone asking you to turn the music down, as she lived "a couple" [which I understood to be two] doors down. But hey, if you're convinced, there's nothing stopping you.

Women know their cycles, so with good tracking (I personally use the WomanLog app) you know when it is safe from pregnancy and when isn't. But you don't know her cycle, and you don't know her STD status, so you HAVE to use a condom for your own health, and follow TRP condom disposal rules.

A really shy guy does not throw someone and start 'playfully' punching their stomach. I am a woman. I'd be annoyed as hell at someone else's loud music, and yet would need to be diplomatic when living communally so it doesn't become awkward. She was asking the guy nicely to turn the music down. Sex is not all women ever think about. OP can ask her out, but be forewarned for a rejection - I don't think she's into him else she'd have tried to just-so-happen to bump into him in the 3 weeks they had…

She's got to grow up and figure this one out for herself, I'm afraid. My advice? Stay radio silent. You may have stopped gaming her, and she found someone who does. It sounds as though the relationship became comfortable to the point of stale, and you were tolerating her changes but not really loving her through them. Along comes someone who you perceive to have lower SMV - but - he makes her feel special, wanted, and desired - and there goes your relationship.

That is the prissiest thing I've head in a long time. "I shouldn't work until I can get a job I can enjoy." You sound entitled, spoiled, and unless you come with a Panamanian trust fund, everyone has to work. And newsflash: just because you are studying doesn't mean you're entitled to a job at the end of it. I prefer to hire people who have worked throughout school and university than someone who did not work, graduated, and expect cushy jobs at my firm.
