I only ever felt this once with my most recent ex. Had a bunch of boyfriends before him but I wasn't crazy attracted to any of them. Whenever he was around I wanted to tear his clothes off, when we were apart I thought about us in bed often. It's not easy to find someone you connect both mentally and physically. Good for you, OP :)

The way he writes makes me cringe SO HARD. Girl, you really dodged a bullet. Also kudos for not sending him the reply, he doesn't even deserve that.

The idea that my life is going to be put on pause for at least a few months due to the quarentine is making me so anxious. It's only been two weeks since I started working from home and I'm already stressed as hell because I can't go out and see my friends anymore. Being with my family all the time is making me moody and I'm afraid to lash out at them. Also I can't lie, the concept of not having sex any time soon is very upsetting. I just want to be able to chill ):

- Emoji bios - Wears sunglasses in all pictures - Unkept beard/hair - Too many gym selfies - Shirtless bathroom pics - Pictures with kids (unless profile specifies they're not his) - Pictures holding baby lions/tigers who are obviously doped - No description or generic one liners - Pictures holding guns, knives etc - Has a list of things he's looking for in a girl - Says he "wants something casual but could develop into a relationship later" - "Whoever matches last has to send the first message"…

Yep, very recent too. I met a guy on Tinder, we dated for a month but towards the last couple of weeks my instincts were screaming at me to stop seeing him immediately. I really liked him, so I tried to ignore it. In the end I learned he was emotionally unavailabe, not necessarily a bad person but he couldn't possibly give me what I wanted in a relationship. So now at least I know my intuition is spot on.

Idk, if a guy changes his mind about you after sleeping together they are likely to be low value. The reason why FDS advises women to avoid sleeping with men for at least three months is because it helps weed out LVM. Be very careful evaluating the people you're dating, sometimes it will take years for a guy to really prove he is high value.

Aw shit, that sounds exhausting :( But yep, if coffee dates suit your situation better go ahead and do that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/03/20 12:08 PM

That's usually how I do it. First coffee then dinner or something else that will take the guy some effort. FYI he should still be picking up the tab, you don't wanna date a guy who can't even pay for your coffee

Even during weekends?

Coffee dates are fine if that's what you're comfortable with. FDS suggests dinner dates because it's a guys opportunity to show you he appreciates you taking the time to meet him.

Can I just say that OLD got much worse now that a lot of people are on quarentine/lockdown?? God, the amount of men saying they're looking for someone "to spend the quarentine with"! Gross! Not to mention Tinder Gold users changing their locations to chat up girls over 10000 km away from them just cause they're bored 🙄

Don't feel bad for wanting a guy who is attractive both physically and intellectually to you. Men always strive for the best partners yet women are the only ones getting condemned for doing the same. If you want a relationship to last on the long run you'll probably want someone you feel desire for.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/20 02:08 AM

I wouldn't block #1 but wouldn't wait on him either. Match his energy by not initiating contact, wait and see if he gets in touch some time in the next few days. If it starts making you anxious then go ahead and block him for your own good. Be very careful before labeling a guy a HVM or even potential HVM. Always assume they are low value and it's their job to prove otherwise with time and effort.

TBH a lot of people are cancelling dates because of the virus. A friend of mine cancelled a couple of dates this week because he's terrified of catching it lol

The virus is somewhat contained in my country so far but it's bound to get bad in the next couple of weeks. I'm currently seeing someone and we have a date scheduled for tomorrow, but I'm going to tell him we'll have to keep our hands off each other for a while. Pretty sure he feels the same way because he asked me today how I'm feeling about the whole coronavirus thing.

How many dates have you had with him so far? Some men are just hesitant to take the first step. Guy I'm seeing right now didn't even get physically close to me on our first date, it was like hanging out with a new friend. On our second date we had a few drinks and I started to get impatient so I asked him if he usually takes a long time to make a move when he's dating someone. He got the gist and kissed me later in his car. He's still more reserved than most guys I've dated but when he does get …

Both my mother and close friends have pointed out recently I'm a serial monogamist and it's been really bugging me lately. The sad truth is that the only way I feel 100% over a breakup is by falling in love again with someone new. My ex broke up with me in December and by the end of January I already had someone I liked. We decided not to see each other anymore and now I'm looking to replace him with someone else already. It just doesn't stop, I can't figure out how to be alone. I'm nearly 29 an…

I dated a 28 year old when I was 17 and to this day I don't know tf my parents were thinking by not trying to intervene. My mom has very strong opinions on how women should be independent and how I should be extremely picky. Guess she didn't want to pick a fight.

Ideally in the start or middle of the week so he shows consideration for your time. A HVM won't risk asking you out last minute because he understands you have a life that doesn't revolve around him. Also always make plans regardless if you're waiting to be asked out or not and let him know which days work for YOU. He'll have to work around it. Do what your heart tells you but make sure it's a high effort date, especially if he's asking you on short notice. Don't let him waste your time. There i…

I think FDS suggests avoiding all forms of OLD actually, lol. Even the most relationship-oriented apps are infected with LVM just looking for hookups. However if you're like me and don't have a lot of time to meet people irl people usually suggest Hinge (I've never used it because it's not available in my country). Personally I just use Tinder and vet like crazy before agreeing to meet up
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/03/20 10:47 AM

Don't be too hard on yourself. As women we are pretty much raised to put up with this bullshit. Just keep the lessons from the handbook in mind while vetting men, it will help you learn how to avoid these douches.

Usually I start with something funny and a summary about me (where I'm from, what I do for a living, etc). Then a short paragraph describing hobbies/what I like to do in my spare time, but I try not to give too much information. Asking a question is a good way to tell if they're reading bios or just mindless swiping, if I were you I'd put that at the very end.

I was dating a guy I met on Tinder until earlier this week when we called it off. He misled me by lovebombing (showing too much interest, introducing me to friends and family, saying the "right" things, etc). He knew I am demisexual/don't do hookups and still decided to chase despite not wanting a relationship. At least it helped me realize the importance of sticking to FDS principles and not compromising.

I was feeling bummed out since Tuesday when things ended for good with a LVM, still talking myself into understanding it was for the best. He wasn't a bad person, just not what I need in a partner atm. Thankfully last night I was able to put it out of my mind for good. I had a pretty good third date with another man in my rotation, a man in his mid 30s who lives alone, has a car and a good job. He seems pretty stable, our conversations are great and he doesn't try to lovebomb me. He's also super…

Went on a second date last night with a guy I met on OLD and we had a great time just chatting and catching up. He's tall, handsome and surprisingly well behaved. Didn't try to get physical at all except for the kiss we shared later in his car. Here's the thing though... he's an awful kisser ): or at least his kissing style doesn't really match mine, I'm not sure if it's something that we can work on. I see. Personally I think it's okay to dedicate your 20s to building your career, which sounds like the case here. As long as they agreed this was the best choice I see no harm done (personally I wouldn't date anyone for such a long time though). That being said some engagements can go on forever, if they never actually set a date he's likely stringing her along.

Guy I was seeing did the same thing after a month, started to text less and acted like he was in control of the situation. I think this is why it's so important to spin plates, if you're dating multiple people you won't be at risk of getting attached too soon to any of them.

My ex was asian-american (his whole family was from Japan). While I think his cultural heritage had a big impact on his behavior I also think he was emotionally distant to begin with. We had major communication issues due to me being very open about my feelings and him never telling me what was going on in his mind. He also wasn't affectionate enough and for a long time I told myself I was okay with it because "that's just the way he is". He only spontaneously told me he loved me once (we were t…

I feel like that's fine, whatever works best for you. FDS doesn't necessarily aim for marriage, we aim to get what we deserve which is a happy, healthy relationship (or just overall avoiding relationships and focusing on yourself). I wouldn't date a guy who has housemates, period.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/02/20 02:23 PM

Thanks for the insight. Yep, if there's one thing FDS taught me is that LVM do not deserve an explanation before we walk away from them. He's smart so he'd definitely use it to get better at tricking women into thinking he's a nice dude.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/02/20 01:39 PM
3

Exactly!! This guy always tells me he was 100% honest with these girls but I never even asked about them! He's trying to present himself in a certain way but my intuition keeps telling me he's not the real deal. Like another commenter said, the fact that so many girls got mad at him just proves that he's not as nice as he claims to be.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/02/20 04:16 AM
3

Yeah, that's what has been bothering me the most. It's like he goes out of his way to show me there are other girls interested in him, it makes me scared of falling back on my former pickme ways. I have to end things for the sake of my mental health.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/02/20 03:45 AM

I've been having a great time with him but there have also been soooo many red flags: He's overall giving me player vibes while trying to pass as a nice guy. His ex apparently hates his guts, he said so himself. We ran into the girl he was seeing before meeting me and she wasn't happy to see him. Some random girl he used to date back in November drunk dialed him one night when we were together. He likes being provocative and tries to overanalyze me. Sometimes it feels like he's digging too deep …

That also works as dating strategy. I naturally come off as cold/distant and only smile when I find something genuinely funny or someone says something nice about me. I've been told by several different men they find it interesting that I always look like I have something on my mind and they will get a rewarding feeling when they finally manage to get a smile out of me. Make them work for it, girls.

If he doesn't text every day he's likely not that interested. Some people are awful at texting (I am lol) but if they're into you they'll make an effort to reach out. I feel like it's okay to text first every now and then but mostly let the man text first so you can keep track of his interest.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/20 01:42 PM

Idk but it's probably a lot. Until recently I used to spend at least $50 monthly just on asian skincare. I also regularly got facials, bought expensive hair products, went to the hairdresser, gym, etc... the only things I don't spend money on are shaving and nail care because I do those at home.

Looking at the bright side, it's another tool that helps you vet LVM. Because you won't waste any time on a guy who "invites you to start the conversation". I actually wish we had Hinge in my country, our only options are pretty much Tinder and Bumble (ew)

Had a pretty nice date today with the man I've been seeing for the past month. I was tired from work so we just went to the movies, but he held me the entire time and was super affectionate. I think it depends on your own personal boundaries. I personally don't like kissing on the first date unless it's something real quick & innocent at the end of the date. From the second date forward if I'm super attracted to a man I'll be ok with making out but I won't let him do anything below the waist or touch my breasts until at least a month has passed. I'll let things slowly escalate over time until I'm ready to have sex. The handbook suggests waiting at least three months for maximum effe…

That makes absolutely no sense to me. I would never want to waste my time dating a far right man or someone with principles that are too different from mine. The important stuff usually comes up between the first and third dates, no one who is serious about looking for a relationship will put time and energy on someone who could turn out to be incompatible.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/02/20 01:51 AM

Waiting a certain amount of time to sleep with a guy and letting men chase after me have been the most useful ones. Both of these strategies really help weed out most LVM, it works like magic.

My last relationship that lasted three years started on Tinder and I'm currently dating an interesting guy I found there too. SPOILERS AHEAD! I finished watching the first few episodes last night. The show is really interesting from a FDS point of view, don't you think? Here's my opinion on the couples so far: Cameron and Lauren - Interesting couple, Lauren seems like a HVW and Cameron seems like a decent guy (although he is way below her looksmatch). I feel ya. There are some FDS principles that I find extremely hard to apply because our dating culture is so "casual" when compared to other countries. It's also hard to meet other HVW, low value behavior is so culturally ingrained that even powerful women will put up with male bullshit.

I think what shocks me the most is how fast guys tend to hit the wall in their 30s while women still manage to look gorgeous well into their 40s/50s. I'm 28 and set my age range from 25-35 and guys in their 30s usually have bad skin, are out of shape, are balding, have lots of gray hair, etc etc. And these are usually the guys who only want to date 10/10 LOL

I feel like the subject of children/marriage tends to come up in the first or second date. It happens naturally, I usually don't have to directly ask about it. But if you're seeing someone you like and it hasn't come up it's probably best to just straight up let them know your opinion and make sure they understand you're not on the fence about it.

I can relate. When I'm in a relationship I ALWAYS make sure to dress up, look and smell nice but I'm yet to date a guy who puts real effort on his looks. It's like all they do is put on a t-shirt, cargo shorts and sneakers and they're done. I'll go out of my way to be the eye candy with no reciprocation, which sucks because there is nothing sexier than a well groomed man who looks like he has his shit together.

I feel like I'm very attractive but in unconventional ways. I realize I'm not everyones cup of tea but I'm always complimented on my looks/personal style. I used to feel like only artsy/geeky guys were into me but as I grow older I'm starting to get attention from different kinds of people.

By waiting before sleeping with a guy you'll naturally weed out most men who are just looking to waste your time. If they're just looking to get in your pants they won't have the patience to wait for 2-3 months. It will also give you a lot of opportunities to talk to them with a clear head and figure out if they're relationship material.

"Men don't respond to words. They respond to no contact." I finished reading "Why Men Love Bitches" this week and I gotta say this is one of the most effective tips in the book. Repeat it to yourself over and over again until you stop yourself from texting first/telling him what he's doing wrong/etc. Men only understand they need to step up their game when you become a little distant.

I'm yet to hear stories about couples who tried MFM. Not only because men only think about themselves but also because women are usually more open to try new things. Most open relationships I know of consist of: A guy who bullied his gf into accepting an open relationship. The girl lets him walk all over her just so she can seem ~~open minded~~ The girl ends up getting more hook ups so the guy "suddenly" decides he didn't want an open relationship after all

One of the rules of FDS is: don't tell men what you're looking for, because they're going to use that information to manipulate you. They'll pretend to be exactly what you're looking for and once they get what they want they will bail. If a man directly asks you what you're looking for just be vague and tell them you don't know, you're just meeting people and seeing what happens. If I were you I'd leave only the first paragraph, maybe make it even a bit shorter. You want to give them only enough…

Men don't really care about long term dating or finding a forever partner, they'll be happy to be in a stagnant relationship until they finally meet their dream girl. Women on the other hand worry about wasting time and finding someone compatible. I wish they'd learn from us. I used to do that before I met my ex, mostly because I was at peak pickmeisha form. If a guy was nice enough and said the right things for a while I'd be okay with dating them. My ex had many faults and I'm glad we're not together anymore, but I gotta admit he was very much my type and I was super attracted to him physically. With other men the spark would easily die out because I'd eventually realize I wasn't that attracted to them. Now I know better and vet any men that isn't my looksmatch.

Thanks for sharing your story! Yeah, it's hard to overlook the fact that the date itself was pretty low effort and he talked about his ex a lot. I feel like this is the one FDS rule that is questionable depending on your age/cultural background. In my country dinner dates are extremely rare if you're seeing someone for the first time (especially if you met online) so it's always either coffee or drink dates. I'm in my late 20s and live in Brazil, here are some specific things about dating I've experienced: - It's extremely hard to get a dinner date around here. Most guys will suggest bar dates not only because it's low effort, but also because dating is seen as a more "casual" thing around here. Dinner dates are perceived as kind of fancy, I guess. - Most guys in their 20s to mid 30s still live with their parents because families have a culture of keeping their children around for a long ass time. Similar thing happened with me a couple weeks ago. Went on a great date with a guy I thought was kinda interesting but he ghosted me a day later while texting, never heard from him again. Whatever, his loss right? If he comes back I'll do exactly the same.

Bitch please, any girl who has been browsing this sub long enough will know how to spot these posers. As if they are able to pay for dates and wait at least three months for sex anyway lol

This is why I wont date bearded guys without knowing what their bare face looks like. 😂

I'd also like to know what is the FDS stance on this... a guy friend recently told me no man is going to offer to pay for dinner before getting to know me in person, which is why most of them suggest bar/coffee dates. Should first dates necessarily be dinner dates?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/01/20 02:36 PM

Exactly. When I started telling my friends I'm no longer spending my time on low effort losers who won't take me on a proper date my female friends were really supportive, while my male friends would say shitty things like "You're being too picky and you'll end up alone for a long time if you keep this up"

Men really think women can cum in like 5 seconds like they do lmao Nah bro, we're actually good at sex

Thank you for this post! In my language there is no expression that translates as "hang out" but guys will often ask me if I wanna "go out and do something". It's an extremely vague question and often ends up with the guy taking the girl to a low effort ~~date~~ at the bar/pub. Next time this happens I'll make sure to clarify if he's asking me out on a date.

I love getting dressed up for myself. I put makeup on and do my hair whenever I go out with friends or go to work because it makes me feel like a goddess. I also like my face without any makeup on, but it really helps to go out with that confidence boost.

Thank you! Sitting down to write a list of HVM qualities really helped me realize what I'm looking for in my next relationship. Back when I was dating my ex I thought he was the most amazing man in the planet but looking back now he was lacking in so many ways.

I just mean that you need to work on your confidence and realize you are pretty amazing too. Once you fully realize your potential the anxiety will go away :)

So lame. It's a pitty some girls probably fall for this bs because a lot of guys who do this are foreigners.

In my personal opinion, a HVM: - Treats his partner like a queen - Is proud/supportive of his partner, her goals and achievements - Has no problem introducing a partner to family & friends - Has a good relationship with his family (maybe except when the family itself is toxic, idk) and gets along with partners family - Doesn't drag emotional baggage into new relationships, understands the past should stay in the past - Is open about his feelings and understands the importance of working on issue…

Do not put him on a pedestal!! I'm sure you also have many amazing qualities and he's lucky you decided to spend your time with him. It's okay to feel strongly towards a guy but do yourself a favour and never let him know the real intensity of your feelings. The moment guys realize they have us the game is lost, and they start taking women for granted. Always keep your feet on the ground.

He came to my home and we had a normal friday night: ate dinner, watched a movie on my PC and had sex. We sat on the bed to chit chat but he started talking about how he needed to open up about some shit he had been going through but was too afraid to tell me before. He reminded me how during our first year together I almost left to work abroad twice and after that he never really felt like he could 100% commit to me. It was our first year together, I didn't know him that well and obviously I wa…

Lol dude. I was in a relationship with a guy for three years and the whole time he knew he didn't want to marry me, he just strung me along because I was nice and he didn't want to end things. Men are all kinds of fucked up

Lol what a bunch of dumbasses. Men already get to "abort" by simply walking away from the woman and their child. These cowards do that shit all the time where I come from (where abortion is illegal btw)

I'm new to this subreddit and was hoping to get some clarification on a subject: what is the FDS stance on kissing on the first date? I already know about holding out sex until proper commitment but haven't read anything on small things like kissing, etc. If I think the guy is HVM material do I let him kiss me on a first date? How far is it okay to go physically?

Every time I leave a relationship I always make sure to delete my ex in all social media, even if it was a clean break. No good will come out of knowing about his life now that I'm not in it anymore. I got dumped by my boyfriend of three years a couple of days after Christmas, so I did exactly that. The only thing I know is that he still follows me on Instagram, I just found out today while peeking at my followers. Caught myself pining for the day I will be posting all kinds of fun stories and h…
