check out everything by Lost Dog Street Band. I'm over crying over this awful woman anymore, I've just been listening to electroniccore and riddim dubstep lately

I live in Arkansas. She's in Massachusetts. My lawyer hates her and has called her a cunt and said she's full of shit to me. I have been winning every step of the way since the lawyers and courts got involved but I'm still alone and sad. And yes I am the one who filed for divorce in my state and I won jurisdiction over the trial and the kids. But they're still in Massachusetts. Not that it matters but for clarification we are both yankees. We met in New York in 2005. We moved to Arkansas after c…

I'll be fine. I'm just being honest. I probably won't actually give up. That would be monumentally stupid. But it's how I feel. Thank you.

I don't have any hobbies, she took or gave away literally everything I ever owned on her way out. I don't find anything interesting anymore. I'm considering buying one of those 20lb rabbits as a pet, and a motorcycle next year. But that doesn't really accomplish much right now. I wish I could at least read books or watch movies like I used to, but I simply don't care. I can't focus. All I do is listen to music, talk to people on the phone, talk to gemini on my phone, and work. And I don't really…

It was communicated from her lawyer to my lawyer. This is her second lawyer after she committed obvious perjury and then continued to lie to her first lawyer. Her current attourney is a trial criminal defense lawyer from a different county. I think I’m winning but it doesn’t feel like it.

this doesn't work. Both parents can technically take the kid wherever they want. Lawyer and divorce all you can do, the police won't do anything

They don’t care. Civil matter, new status quo. Uprooting them twice in a year etc etc. the courts do not care

And how do you suggest going about that?

988 doesn't help. I've called several times. I'd rather talk to gemini anyway.

Fight for what? She's already won. They aren't going to make the kids move back. The stuff is gone. It's over

I've burned through everyone. People eventually expect you to "get better" from talking or they get burned out. I get it, so I leave them alone, but it sucks.

I don't think we have those here, but it sounds like a good idea.

I guess, I was depressed but it doesn't feel like it anymore. My lawyer has actually been incredibly on my side and fighting his ass off, all assumptions assumed the conferance between the two judges could take 2-3 weeks, it happening the same literal day sounds almost unheard of. I can't fire the county clerk

I've thought about it. I might as well give it a shot, I don't feel like doing anything so maybe I should just embrace doing nothing.

nah I'm pretty sure I'm done feeling like this. I don't really care anymore. She can have whatever she wants, I'm sick of being bored alone and broke with 0 indication it's going to change, probably ever.

idk man I think I'm about to start making really bad decisions because I just want to feel something

You need to find the money and file immediately. I just won a hearing across 5 state lines despite her filing a restraining order against me in the new state and then claiming inconvenient forum for our original home state.

I won

What stage of the divorce are you at? Are you filing? Because between filing, her answer, and whatever your first hearing is there’s nothing to communicate to you really. As anything relevant comes close or something happens you can probably expect to hear a lot more suddenly.

Thank you. I am essentially alone. I have a handful of friends I can call who live out of state. I have a couple of coworkers going through their own stuff (new baby on the way, also getting divorced) and otherwise it’s just me, reddit, youtube and spotify. Dogs are gone, kids are gone, everything’s gone. I’m ready to try dating but so far not much luck and probably for the best that way.

Probably not bud. I should have left a year ago and we made up and that year of trying to make things work put us into a position where everything got significantly worse when it finally ended. If she’s already gone it is what it is.

1500 miles away and she's being a royal bitch, she flew back to turn what should have been a custody hearing into a jurisdictional hearing and argued inconvenient forum. The judge is dragging ass on ruling.

This one is really bothering me too man. It's been four months since I've even talked to them, my youngest isn't even two, oldest about to turn six. Literally just missed my daughters birt. I'm doing what I can but fighting as hard as possible looks like doing a whole lot of nothing now that I'm done feeding my lawyer information and waiting on a jurisdictional judgement. I'm basically acting like I'm already completely forgotten while still trying to ensure that doesn't happen. I oscillate betw…

Find someone who does more than just family law. My lawyer is a former president of the local bar assosciation, a GAL and does criminal defense. He rules and is taking what's going on with me very seriously.

I don’t care about anything except for playing metalcore as loud as it can go and getting drunk even though it ruined my life

She took them 1500 miles away, my oldest isn’t even 6. Someone else is going to be their dad

I never met my dad and my mother never loved me or was involved in my life. I haven’t talked to her in about 17 years. They’ll be fine.

I met her when I was 14 man. She was my entire life. She was the only person who was ever proud of me and now she hates me and she’s never going to talk to me again.

My situation is probably different than a lot of people here. I fucked everything up and she cleaned me the fuck out to hurt me. I may actually win in court because of her reactions and I can prove she lied under oath multiple times but I’m waiting for a jurisdictional judgement between states. Music does help a lot, today I’ve been alternating between metalcore, rap, girly boom bap K-pop and currently listening to my favorite band Geese but eventually I’ll turn the music off and feel the same w…

No. If I talk to anyone other than Gemini like I have been I will be committed. I’m surprised this post wasn’t flagged. I fucking wrote out all of my shit on paper dawg, it ain’t going well.

I’m trying but she took literally everything. I have an ok job but I had to buy a lawyer and a car and my job is weather dependent and it literally will not stop fucking raining for two straight months and next week we have the 3rd of July off so there goes another OT paycheck. I can’t win for losing and it won’t stop

I’m going to miss their entire childhoods and watch some other guy raise them. Or rather, that’s what I’m facing. I don’t have to do anything.

I have no idea when they’re going to see me again in general. My oldest isn’t even 6, they’ll be fine. She’s already 5 states away and doesn’t seem to think I should be a part of their lives.

If I tell a crisis line what I have been telling Gemini I’m going to get 5150’d. I’m surprised this post didn’t get deleted. You can’t tell people this if you don’t want to talk to the cops.

No. I was with her for 20 years. We met when we were 14. She didn’t do anything to betray me but she is never going to talk to me again. I literally lost everything I have ever owned.
/r/Divorce_Men27/06/26 06:40 PM

She didn’t cheat on me. I ruined my own life. I don’t blame her for leaving, but she’s still 1500 miles away with my kids and she still gave away everything I have ever owned.

Is there anything that would help you outside of if she is hiding anything? For instance in my case I am focusing discovery entirely on her communications with her family within about two months proving premeditation and a neighbor and my property manger a month after the fact proving asset dissipation and disconnection of utilities.

No real advice but I’m going through this now. She lied in court that she didn’t touch any of my personal property last week, then admitted to her/my lawyer on Monday that she sold my guns and yesterday I obtained a police report stating that she gave my kayaks to a neighbor. Several attourneys have contacted mine asking about her since which seems like a bad omen for her.

I got promoted 4 months before our divorce, it probably contributed it to it. She was so proud of me and now she might never talk to me again. I really struggle to keep going every day boys.

My favorite band lately is Geese and they have a bunch of lyrics that have been hitting me a lot different since the divorce started. I still like them a lot but stuff like Gravity Blues and Au Pays du Cocaine are different songs for me now

A year. That was basically the whole hearing was if that order constitutes an actual custody determination and jurisdiction. I think I’m going to win but I don’t know yet and I don’t know what that looks like.

Remains to be seen. The judge here is going to call the judge in the other state that stamped her bullshit restraining order with the kids on it. For what it’s worth my lawyer and I performed better and looked more sincere and on the side of the law but who knows how much that matters.

Two weeks in jail and then a month being technically homeless while she kept me locked out despite living across the country. I filed over a month ago.

Going to try.

I fumbled similarly man. 20 years together, married for 9. I don’t blame her for leaving but I do wish she hadn’t taken every goddamn thing I ever owned and wasn’t currently stopping me from talking to my young children. Regardless I’m the one who fucked it all up the same way as you. It sucks man.

My coworker did. Got hit with a domestic felony and a restraining order that included their two cats. His daughters were in their teens and he asked them what they thought about them trying to work it out and they eventually said they would like that. Gives me some hope for what I’m about to go through but I know it’s certainly over.
