The main reason my stbx wants this is because she has no means to pay for child care while she works on the weekend. She can't figure out how to care for the kids and work, this causes her to insist on a fixed schedule and not a rotating schedule. In fact, she still doesn't have a job but claims it'll be on the weekend. Legally, is there an advantage having the kids during the school days?

But is there a legal disadvantage to not having the kids when they go to school. I predict her wanting to move and try to take the kids with her somewhere. I don't want to be in a weaker position to fight to keep them where we live now.

The other main argument she has is that she has rights and that she is not busy during the week. Consequently, she should be the one watching the kids not my parents while I'm busy. She tried to use the right of first refusal of 4 hours or more she should watch the kids.

At what point do I go to court instead of mediation? There is ZERO evidence I've been bad to her or the kids. She would have to lie to claim anything. My guess is that she has lied to therapists which may be subpoena to trial. She has had crazy female therapists during our marriage that would probably lie to help her. She was in therapy because her father sexually abused her.

She has no one who can or would want to watch the kids for her. My parents have been extremely helpful in watching the kids for me. I have help and she does not. She has been traveling all over while I've been taking care of the kids with help from my family. She is claiming that she should have them during the school days because she has networked with other women and the kids need their mom to succeed in school.

It should be dealt with like work deals with being late or not coming at all.

There should be repercussion.

The law is complicated and a lawyer will help protect your interests and guide you in the process of divorcing your ex.

I'm not following. What disadvantage could there be to my stbxw paying child support?

I think she will value her freedom above all else. She has painted herself into a corner. I've got an experienced lawyer who has been helpful through this process. I just wish it would go faster.

I'll do that. I've sacrificed enough for her. If she cares at all about our kids, she'll sacrifice and be inconvenienced for their sake. I doubt it'll happen often.

Yes, same house and same location. I'll be sure she pays child support.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
