My stbxw had her lawyer send a crazy email claiming they have tried to pursue mediation. There is no record of that every being the case.

My parents and other family live close by. Her closest family lives 3 hours away. I've got the house and she found section 8 housing in the town we live in. I've had full temporary custody of the kids signed by a judge for three months. She has only had visitation for 3 months. She is not employed and got little money from me in closing our debts and assets in the divorce.

Now the case deals with custody.

They are suggesting a 50/50 schedule where my x will have the two kids Sunday to Thursday one week and then Sunday to Wednesday the next. The younger child won't be in school for another 4 years. This schedule kicks me out of their weekday life. But It gives me more time with them every single weekend.

Should I fight to have more change in the schedule so I can have a free weekend and be part of their school life? This x is lazy and using the system at every turn. She claims that she will be working the weekend and that's why she wants me to have them on the weekend.
