Yes, you can do the same thing at bars. And if you walk in with enough confidence, no one will know or care that you are there alone. In fact, sometimes going to the bar alone is even better than going with friends because you can focus on socializing and meeting new people instead of hanging in the corner with a bunch of people you already know. Is there a ski mountain nearby? Even if neither of you know how to ski, learning is a fantastic bonding experience. Or, if you know how to ski and she doesn't, even better because teaching someone to ski allows for lots of physical contact and even more bonding.
