It has been almost 6 years since the first instance of a number of instances that destroyed my world and shattered me. In the last two years I've come to embrace this philosophy. The healing never really ends, the damage never fully repaired. I struggle to be empathetic, to have understanding, to be kind. The jagged pieces of cynicism and bitterness always close enough to cut. I think I am becoming a better person. The gold repairing my fractures are my friends, family and those who help me in m…

I would tell anyone, man or woman, going through this process the exact same thing. Get a lawyer. You hire a professional when you deal with any large purchase, medical issue or legal issue. This is no different. Either sex, lies, cheats and steals. You need to protect yourself in every possible way.

I'm with you there. She is that. And a liar and a royal pain in the ass. But I don't care anymore. She has her life and I have my much better life and never the twain shall meet.

Believe me, I don't look at it as a scorecard or any sort of rubric of judgement. It was just a thought that popped into.my head this morning and found it a bit funny. A year and a half ago I would have found it enraging. And yes, my life is loads better on every front. I don't regret the things that have happened at all.

I can say that going to see a therapist was extremely helpful. I actually saw two. One we had been seeing as a couple for a few years, one a new one assigned by my company. The ability to talk through it with 3rd parties was extremely good. I highly recommend you do that if your not already.

Depends on the lawyer. Most you pay a deposit up front then make payments as you go along. They tend to want to be paid in full by the time any court stuff is over.

My lawyer took an up front retainer and I've paid him as time has gone on. I'm into him for about $4000 now to take care of a restraining order violation that has taken over a year to almost get settled and 2 civil issues twatwaffle brought me to court for. Money well spent. Most of us are not familiar with the verbiage and legalese of court. I did NOT have a divorce lawyer draw up the separation agreement. Her friend recommended a lawyer that we used. That was a mistake. He was not a divorce la…

I have two. Both grown 25 & 23 at the time of the final split. They were both angry and depressed and we kept their mothers infidelity from them so they might continue to have a good relationship with her. They did find out and it made them very angry. I am supportive and there for them if they need me but being adults it is a very different situation. I would only tell you this, lead by example. Be kind, be generous, do not disparage your ex. In time you may find a loving relationship and, like…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
